This is the best target in North County. Its huge and has great inventory. No one really goes here. All my collectable toys are usually in stock at this one. Its probably because their location is tucked away in a industrial area and a little far from actual homes. Good for me! I can go here on my lunch. The employees are really helpful too. We went in here to purchase a patio dining set because targets website showed it's available here. The store has the table and the chairs but refused to sell it as a set. This is by far my favorite Target location. Every time I go here I get top notch service, and always find THE greatest deals! It is very clean and organized, the aisles are tidy, the bathrooms are heavenly... and I can ALWAYS find everything I need. I get my grocery shopping, baby shopping and household necessities all in one swoop and sometimes get to splurge on a few 75% off dresses at only $6 or jeans at only $4. I honestly can't stand Walmart, every time I go there I get so frustrated with the disorganization and the HUGE lack of customer service. I only go there in extreme circumstances, and even then I'm 99.9% disappointed with my experience. I love the help I get at Target, I feel like I'm asked "can I help you find something?" in every department. When I do need something, the employees are extremely knowledgeable and know exactly where an item is and always lead me directly to it. Unlike Walmart, where the employees give vague directions and signal with their hands as if they're being bothered. No thanks. Walmart corporate should REALLY look into re-vamping their employee training, or take a few tips from Target... seriously! read more

Target is my go to store for anything and everything. This is probably my favorite location based on the cleanliness, the staff and the fact that I know where everything is like the back of my own hand! Yes, I have a problem-I'm addicted to Target! What's great about Target is when something is out of stock on the shelves you just ask a team member and they'll pull out their nifty phones to scan the barcode to see if there's any left in the back stock room and if they don't they'll tell you what other stores in the area has the item you're looking for. A+ for that if you ask me! You're not getting that "if it's not on the shelf we don't have anymore" response you get from different retail stores. If you have a smartphone, download the Cartwheel app! Best thing ever!!!! It's an app that has discounts on many different products-apparel, household items, groceries or even dog food! It's updated every week too. So next time you go to target make sure you have this app downloaded already-even if it's only a 5% discount it's still a discount! Santa, for Christmas I don't need the stuff in the cart, I just want the cart!! You know one of those funky, puffy shopping carts from Target....ohhhh and world peace and stuff. This TARGET store has everything you could ever want and it's new :O) When you first get there you'll have to drive up a small hill that leads into the parking lot....get ready for a pointless STOP SIGN that greets you over the blind summit. I got a kick outta that BS "accident encourager" and I hope you do too. I avoid this place during daytime hours...like Costco you will just get high blood pressure if you go during peak hours but in the evening it's a special Vista/San Marcos gem. You can score VIP parking regularly here folks! ******SOFT AWESOME T-SHIRT ALERT******* I hate to admit it but I was blown away with the selection, designs, themes, price, and quality of guys t-shirts there! I was going to write a five star review for this - the cleanest and best Target, but after seeing the review from Jen S - I know another business is in need of justice. It looks like the hours for the business are posted online for all to see, so in case you are a bad mom and get too drunk at Pizza Port and lose your phone charger at Pizza Port and decide that Target has to take your phone order and stay open late to hand you the charger after they are close - just so you do not need to drive an extra few minutes to a different Target ... maybe this is not the place for you. Yelp, look at yourself and look at who you call an "Elite Yelper" This site has a lot of potential for reform, and it starts with basic standards of etiquette. I wrote a few one star reviews, but I never found the need to use language like Jen S did. read more

I purchased 3 iphones from the Target Vista South Store in CA in July. The rebate offers for them expired on the date of purchase. I tried contacting the cell phone dept and then emailing the company that they contract with to get help. Each one told me to contact another area until I spoke to Josh who was filling in for the store manager of the Vista South store. He made my problem his own and resolved it. Called me on his day off from his cell phone and handled it like a true professional. It is hard to find employees like him and I hope Target knows what an asset he is to their company. There are two Target's closer to my house but I will go out of my way to hit this one up. There are a few reasons for this. One, it is clean as others have stated. Two, it is not as busy as other Target's and definitely not as busy as WalMart (by the way I avoid ALL WalMart's unless I have to go). The little extra price at Target is worth the shopping experience and not the hassle of WalMart. Sorry, back to talking about Target. Three, there is a Starbucks inside and they have the little cup holders to attach to your cart while shopping. Four, they have a pretty good selection of quality items in all of their shopping categories and the prices are not bad. P.S. If you read this review and decide to go to this Target, please do not ruin it by make messes or overcrowding it. I do not want to have to try and find another like it. P.S.S. Pros: user friendly layout, things are organized and put in it's place, helpful at customer service. Cons: The lines are consistently long with only 1-2 lines open. Very frustrating and reminds me of Wal-Mart. The women's bathroom is ALWAYS disgusting! I've been to dive bars with cleaner bathrooms than this Target. This Target is SUPER clean and well organized. I will ALWAYS come on a Sunday morning to do my shopping when every one else is at church, but even then the rushes are not bad. The people who work here are friendly and I notice that I don't have to wait long in a line. I don't like that after busy rushes there are carts in parking spots on the side of the store - c'mon people the entrance is ten feet away - if you use it put it back, isn't that what you teach your children? But that's people who visit - not that they don't bring the carts in. Overall I don't like some of the price mark ups for their products, especially in the electronics and pharmacy. Things like vitamins - I can get more for cheaper elsewhere. But that's corporate, not this particular location. BUT I do like there prices on Disney DVD's. read more

Pharmacy: Unfortunately, I have been spending a lot of time at this pharmacy this year. Thankfully everyone there has been amazing!! They have gone out of their way to help me with co-pays, showed genuine concern for the challenges I am having medically, dealing with insurance, and out of pocket max issues. They even found me a coupon that covered my entire co-pay. Seems I am lucky enough to have Rachel there to assit me about 80% of the time and she is a total rockstar!! His friendly personality made the process of loading the furniture in our Jeep stress free. I did the drive up method for picking up my online order. I accidentally went to the wrong store at first but after I got there and waited, I called over a target worker and they told me I went to the wrong store. After I got to the correct Target on Business Park Drive it took the people 15 minutes to bring out my order after I called a worker over about my concerns with the order. They told me the reason why it took so long was them wanting me to restart the whole picking up process in order to reset their clock process for my order. This meant that it would should that they "gave me my order quickly" rather than showing how it took them 15 minutes to bring out one item. Additionally, even though it was one item they didn't give me a bag so it would be protected from any damages especially since when I waited they gave others a bag for at least one item. I would recommend that Target make a change to their system with the workers for not to ignore notifications that tells them the order is ready for pickup even if it is every 5 minutes like one worker told us in a somewhat condescending way. read more

The selection and size of the store is terrific. The aisles are wide enough to easily navigate and I always find what I want. The store is well maintained, very clean and organized. However, they do not have enough customer service associates on the floor or at checkout. While you can often get the items you want quickly, you then end up waiting awhile at check out. I don't like the archer farms products but everything else has been good. My favorite Target in the SD area! I have never seen it crowded, even on the weekends. Its clean and I have yet to not find what I'm looking for. Like another reviewer said, there is a higher sales tax since Vista likes to be crappy and have a high tax, but I'll deal with it. Pretty much looks like most Targets, but unlike the Oceanside, for example, this one has a Pizza Hut Express and a Starbucks. Very attractive options! The other thing that's good about this (I totally agree with other reviews saying the shopping carts rock) is that this has only about a third of the traffic you'll find at other locations. So you can come here, feel totally relaxed and not feel like you'll get run over by another cart if you pause in an aisle to take a good look at something. I think someone mentioned before that this is like a SECRET Target, because it's not in an obvious location and not many people I know, know about it, but that's fine by me as the smaller crowd's worth the price of paying the Vista tax. read more

I have been trying to purchase the Lego Movie on discount for a while now because I am the Ninja of Savings and that is what I do. I originally went to Fry's. They priced matched Walmart.com's price (price matching at Fry's was a total pain) but would not accept my $5 manufacture coupon. Target price matched on blu-ray's with much less hassle and also accepted the manufacture coupon. Location is convenient if you are rolling through Palomar Airport Road. The store is very large and there are some decent deals to be had. read more

I especially like the Target on Business Center Dr. It is always clean and the ones in red are always helpful and kind! Went in for some supplies including a new toothbrush. At the self check out, the bar code was not in their system for some reason. A worker came over to help and after using their system, charged me $4.99 for the toothbrush. I finished my transaction but as I walked to the car, I was positive I saw the tag on the aisle say the toothbrush was less than that. So I went back to look at the tag, and sure enough, it was $3.99 at the tag. The difference might be negligible, but a system that would just charge an unsuspecting customer the wrong price isn't great by me. So I went back into the customer service to get it straightened out, and initially they had the same issue figuring out the price since it still wasn't in their system. I explained the difference between what I was charged and what the tag said. They didn't bother to actually go and check the tag but kept working through their system where they couldn't find the price. Since it didn't seem like they were interested in getting the price right, I then just asked to get the $4.99 refunded. Makes me wonder how often people are overcharged here. That's bad enough. Then making the customer feel as though the mistake is somehow their fault? Just bad business. read more

Beautiful new target store. Only bummer is that it's not around any other stores so it makes getting your shopping done in a day a little more difficult (especially with kids). I also noticed that their Halloween section in early October looked more like the selection the day after Halloween, very poor and disheveled.
