Target is Target and nothing really changes it expect for their employees amongst other things. Was on the search for the perfect tea tumbler and found that the specific one I wanted was sold out at all Targets except for this one. However, the website lied and I couldn't find any in stock! I was sad, but before giving up on my search I had asked Linda if she could help. Unsure if she would as she was in the entertainment section, he went on the hunt with me. With her scanner, it stated the store should have had four tumblers with none on the floor. Linda went on the hunt in the back and much to our disappointment she couldn't find it. She was serious on finding it since it was on sale and she wanted to give it to me for the cost the scanner brought up. Unfortunately, to our luck no tea tumbler but I was appreciative of her help and the great customer service she shared. This is your average target! Went on a weekday afternoon to avoid the crowd.... I didn't. Lines were on the longer side and the cashiers were on the slower side. Not a bad store by any means! This store will fill your normal target needs just might take a bit longer so be prepared!!! May your patience be with you! read more

I originally come from NJ where there is a Target every 10 mi, so I've seen quite a few and this may be the worst Target I've ever been to. It feels so desolate with empty shelves and almost no selection of anything (this seems to be an ongoing theme with Vancouver businesses, even big box stores). It seems like they only stock 3 of each item and even then they are the nice Targets' rejects. Their clothing section is a serious joke -- good luck finding anything in more than one size or color. Their men's section is even tinier and has about 5 styles of shirts and pants. If you do happen to find something, you can't see how it looks since they removed all of the mirrors. I asked them why, and apparently it's because someone's kid was playing near one and it fell. Brilliant. If I can't see how something looks, I'm not going to buy it, and I rarely want to make the effort to locate the one fitting room simply to try on a jacket. I only go here out of sheer desperation, but all in all your better off just driving to Portland. read more

Great location but seems to be busy at most times of the day. I typically go to Target to look at clothes. This location never has anything in my size! I always leave disappointed when I come to this location. Not only do they have slim pickings for the clothes, it seems like all other departments have few selections as well. It is a pretty big store so I am surprised at the emptyness. They never have size 8 shoes either! I recommend going to the Hazel Dell or Vancouver Mall Target if you are in the area. read more

What is up with only having the 10 items or less line open??? And then requiring everyone else to go to self checkout? I thought self checkout was a convenience thing, but apparently at this Target it is a way to torture its customers. Ater checking my full cart, I felt like I should have been added to the payroll. This is usually why I just stick to Fred Meyer but I have a trip and I needed the travel aisle. So frustrating that they spend more time on the stock and nothing on the actual customer. The manager sean is absolutely amazing, I lost my purse the other evening and he went so far as to come outside, get on his hands and knees in the rain and look under cars! I recently found out I'm pregnant so I was a complete mess and he continued to comfort me and tell me everything was going to be ok. Continuously congratulating me in hopes to make me feel better! After giving up and wonderful woman came to me and said I've been waiting to turn this into the lost and found, of course I broke down into tears and gave her a huge hug! The customer service was great! On the other hand, the set up is unappealing which is weird because I love Target! When I walked in the dollar section was a mess, all the travel mugs were covered in foam from the packaging, dust as well and a bunch were knocked over, the set up is mess. read more

I went there today because it was near by my work and thought it would be an easy shop and go. The pharmacy ladies didn't even acknowledge the people waiting before me. Me and my boyfriend went to this target and Adriana, was so rude in Electronics and gave me and my boyfriend, the meanest look up and down. Then when me and my man walked to the front of the store to check out she follow us. And continued to shoot mean looks at us. I have never felt so degraded before. Dear Target on NE Millplain Rd, Welcome to the worst service review I've ever had the non-pleasure of writing. Before I begin a short disclaimer to the readers: this is Yelp and it gives me and you a chance to be entitled to what ever O' so seems to be slipping in our society. A review to evaluate the service levels and cleanliness of our experiences. With this said, I'll carry forward with a heavy heart for those employed at this location. I'm easy to please and had my experience been decent I wouldn't be here in your parking lot writing a small book. My daughter needed a new outfit for school so we headed down here to check things out. I've shopped here before and haven't had a bad experience nor an amazing experience. My 13 year old rummaged through your clothing in search of her outfit. Not only to never be greeted or helped but passed up by 4 red shirt employees. We shrugged it off, it's only teenage clothes.... I walked down to the men's section near the fitting rooms. I was passed by two employees as I looked through your things, not even a head nod. I walked down to your electronics department where I had to wait more than 5 minutes for someone to answer a question, props to you target, your employee was able to help me and then hurried off. I walked back down to the men's clothes, browsed some more, again passed by two drone looking, blank faced employees. I sat down in the waiting chair near the fitting room. It faces a disheveled pile of clothes and belts. My daughter entered the dressing room. I asked the nearest red shirt if they had noticed her entering, Nope. They said they could check when they were done stacking clothes. This employee yelled out, she's in here! Props again Target. My question was answered. Never Mind that it was not followed up with any service questions to see if we needed help. I had to search for help. My daughter couldn't find a size so we marched back up to the girls section looking for a size. No help and no one around anywhere. We noticed a pair of jeans in a display ad... Searched endlessly, definitely looking lost, again with zero help or acknowledgment. Back down to the dressing room so she could try on more. Back in the most boring seat ever. I almost fell asleep but was brought back to life by one of your employees half heartedly asking another employee for help over the radio. He made a call and then complained to his coworker about possibly having to work 11 hours. Wow! Big day little buddy. 11 whole hours, maybe... He disappeared and we were again on our own, still looking for a size and style. I almost picked up your store phone and called the store to have someone come help! We laughed about it and decided to just pick up some soy milk and head home. We passed a girl putting Halloween candy away, I said hi, she looked at us like she was lost and said hey. We continued on to try and find soy milk. Nope! Nothing and again no one to be found to ask. We bought a glade candle and a bag of M&M's and a pair of jeans... The cashier remained silent through the entire checkout process except for the amount and change, she did manage a half cocked smile though. Good job! Give me a break man, buck up little ones. Do your, easy job, collect your money and go home. I'm not blaming anyone but management here though. Train your employees. Don't just sit them in front of a training video, set an example. Be the example. I'm in the service industry and if I'd acted like any of the folks I passed in this place I'd smack myself in to next week. Poor performance. Also, your cafe was closed before 7:30pm. I'm not sure what's happening with Target, but lately they've seemed a mess, and this was was no exception. The shoe department was trashed, with boxes and shoes all over and the clothes department was destroyed. Hangers everywhere and clothes strewn about. 3 days before Christmas I slipped & fell in one of the cashier lanes. I jumped up & exited the store as it was totally embarrassing. The next morning I was in so much pain that I had to go to the Dr. I was given a muscle relaxer & then started PT. My Dr also ordered an X-ray & MRI. I had contacted Target the day after the accident & they were able to watch the incident on video. They asked me questions & filled out a report & had me sign it. They assured me that they would pass everything on to their insurance, Sedgwick & they would get in touch with me within a couple of days. I finally had to contact Sedgwick & they said they were doing an investigation & would get back to me. 2 months later they denied any responsibility for Target. In the end I was only asking to be reimbursed for my out of pocket medical bills after insurance & for the couple of days of work I missed totaling about $1200, all for which I have documentation. I have been going in this Target a couple of times a week for the last 13 years. Their insurance is horrible to work with & obviously don't care about their customers! read more

Not the most extensive target selection and inconvenient location that requires a U-turn if coming from the east.

We visited this Target while on a road trip - it was clean, well stocked and the layout was the typical layout we expect.

Don't go during rush hour and the staff can be a little on the cranky side towards the end of the day. Over all, a Target is about the same from one store to the other. I see it better than Walmart for sure though with better quality and selection. read more

This is definitely not the best Target, but it's closest to my house and frankly I've yet to have a bad experience there. The workers are always helpful and although the store is always slightly disorganized in the clothing departments it's understandable given the amount of traffic I assume they get. I have had a few times where an item was signed wrong and they did not honor the price, but they were kind about it and I didn't mind. I prefer this target over the van mall target BY FAR. the customer service is excellent as they strive to make solutions for issues you may have and do their best to help out quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately I believe at times they have high traffic and are under staffed. This can lead to lines at the cash register and sometimes overwhelmed employees. I appreciate what the workers are doing and am patient in most situations. I do think,the bathrooms need to be fixed as they're always pretty gross and there's one stall that seems to always be out of order. My secret is I use the bathroom by the pharmacy. read more

My husband and I stopped at this Target location in order to buy ear buds for myself and our nephew. While there, my husband spotted a game that he really wanted. Only problem was it said it was for the Wii U system and we have a regular Wii. He asked the store employee working this section if the game would play in our system and she said it would. We purchased our items and stopped off at a few other places prior to heading home. As soon as we walked in the door my husband popped the game into the system and it would not play. Now the game is oped and stores do not take them back once they are opened. I called and talked with the store manager, Shian ( probably spelled wrong)..and she agreed to replace the game since it was one of her people that guaranteed it would work. She even called the store manager Rachel of the Hazeldell store to see if we could exchange it there. We live more than an hour away from the Mill Plain store. Both managers were very understanding and very helpful in getting the game exchanged for one that was compatible with our system. They really saved face with us and I will shop these two stores again based on the GREAT customer service we received. I would give 5 stars but the fact that they had a woman working in the tech department that knew very little and even lied when confronted has cost them a star. read more

My boyfriend's and I came in and NEVER have we had been treated so bad then our visit today. We politely asked if I can use my Oregon ID for a tax wright off, she looked at us both with a glare up and down and said yea. So I pulled my ID out and my boyfriend pulls his debit card out and without looking at it very sharply and in a rude voice said the ID and debit needs to match its against the law. Of course I will not argue the standards but her tone of voice and didn't give us a chance to show her the card and her glaringly staring at us up and down I grabbed our stuff to leave her. She proceeded to follow us to the front of the store where we checked out and she continued to glare with a evil look at my boyfriend and I up and down like we were disgusting to her that two gay men are together. As we walked out of the store she continue to stare at my boyfriend and I up and down with an evil look. We came back in to talk to Jason a very nice sales floor rep manager handled it extremely well. Im not from Vancouver and in my whole 30 years in Oregon I never had dealt with that so im slightly turned off to ever go back in again.
