This Target is fine. The staff is always friendly, and I usually find what I need. I normally do drive up pickup. Unfortunately, a ton of (lazy) people love to park in the drive-up spots. Just a bunch of empty cars taking up the pickup spaces. Start towing people, and this probably won't happen much. read more

Target - 6 empty cars in a row parked in drive up spaces. - Department Stores Near Me - Van Nuys, California

Needing kill time during the afternoon, we decided to go to Target. This was a smart decision, as it was hot outside and Target was air conditioned. The layout of Target is the same for the most part. Though for this one, I found it interesting as the grocery was on the second floor and not the first floor. What I liked about this Target was that their are cashiers on both levels. Very smart move, as you don't have to have the customers from the 2nd level go down to the 1st to pay. read more

Solid target I went to a few different location and this was better then the others. This one was cleaner and the Cusotmer service is better as well. I found what I needed and I will be coming back. read more

06/09/24 Sunday evening approximately 8:30 pm I walked into Target looking to purchase a LG vacuum that I saw online. I heading over to the vacuum section and noticed that they did not have that particular vacuum in store but there was one comparable made by Shark. I did not see any boxes ready to grab and go so I asked one of the associates to assist me. Unfortunately I don't remember his name but 10 stars for him he was great. He scanned the item which was advertised for $199.99 which I thought was a great deal and went into the back room to grab it for me. The only problem is that he returned with a completely different model versus the one I was interested in. I explained that it's the incorrect vacuum, he walked to the back and returned to the correct vacuum. The only difference now is that this model is $379.99 I did not have a shopping cart with me so the gentleman grab a shopping cart that was full of plastic storage he put all the items away and put the vacuum in the cart so that I did not have to carry it. That is where the great service ends. Once I reached self check out I asked the associate their if they would be able to match the advertised price that is displayed just because I thought the item was $199.99 the associate stated he would need to call his supervisor because it was above his limit so he would not be able to approve it. His supervisor arrived, a woman name Iris. Initially Iris seemed to be pleasant she stated that she would just have to go check the price tag and the placement of the items. I said ok and waited for her to return. Once she returned she was extremely unpleasant and accused me of lying and stated that I placed the item in the wrong spot on purpose to get a discount and that none of her team mates assisted me in the store. I told her that I don't appreciate her defaming my character because it was just a simple question I told her to review the cameras so that she can see for herself. I then told her just because of her aggressive attitude and accusations towards me that I will file a complaint and that I would like to speak with her manager. I was not combative at all just simply trying to understand why she was attacking my character. She replied saying go ahead I don't care as well as that her manager is at lunch and I will have to wait. I replied saying ok that's fine I can wait as she walked away. Her manager arrived a woman named Jasmine, She introduced herself then started off with the same story as the supervisor Iris. I then stopped her and explained the situation and how I did appreciate the attack on my character. She "apologized" and stated that she will "talk" to her colleague about the situation. She then stated that there was nothing she can do and to call 1800.440.0680 if I want to complain about it and asked if I still wanted to purchase the item. Seriously? Um, No why would anybody want to purchase anything from your store after a incident like that. read more

***STEALING CATALYTIC CONVERTERS AT THIS TARGET*** Everyone please be careful when shopping at this Target. Parking seems secure however yesterday 5/12/2022 between the ours of 5pm and 6pm my son went shopping with his family and someone STOLE their Catalytic converter from their Honda Accord. These thieves dont care who they steal from they stole from car with two baby car seats. :( I tried to call the store to report this to a manager and NO ONE ever answered the phone. I tried all the departments and the phone just rang and rang. read more

This is a large location on multiple levels so chances are they are going to have what you're looking for here. However, the parking situation is not ideal. It's in a structure and it's full of rude customers who are aggressively trying to do whatever they can to get the best parking spot available. I often just immediately opt for a further, less ideal spot just to avoid the madness on some levels. It's just not worth the headache. Customer service is fine here. It's not exceptionally better than other branches, but it's by far not the worst I've experienced. There have been a few times when I've bought a large item and while I had to wait a bit for someone to get a large cart to wheel it out for me, when they employee did come, they came with a smile and were even willing to help get it into my car. I definitely appreciate that. Other locations would've just left me to myself to figure things out on. This location is a bit out of the way for me, but it has enough perks to it that should I need to come here to get something that's in stock, I'm not going to feel annoyed. read more

I think I've wrote a review here before but I love this Target but you're calling system is the worst. What's wrong with you guys? This review is for Jeffrey! I came in and was just doing my usual shopping. He was stocking the creamers and I was looking for milk. He saw me looking around for a specific milk and he came up to me to ask me which one I was looking for and he even scanned the tag in the fridge to see if the item was in stock. I've never had anyone take that extra step especially right now during the holiday time. Thank you so much, def great customer service and put a smile on my face! read more

I was shopping there and after 40 minutes received a parking ticket despite being parked literally under sign that said 2 hours guest parking. Best Target store in all of the San Fernando Valley. I always have a good experience here. Very busy and congested location. Parking can be a challenge at a certain time of day. BUt anyways, we stopped here recently for a few things and split. Nice big store with lots of things to shop for. Need more workers and people to help here. Thats what is lacking, Other than that, best store. read more

Ordered an ugly Xmas sweater online for my holiday party Sunday. It's actually really cute! Got here at 9am this morning parked on second level and no wait in pick up line. Sergio got my order quickly and with a smile. I didn't dare try to do any shopping because I can spend so much money at Target! Lol. I breezed in and out. I don't feel safe in the parking garage anymore as there are homeless lurking around, so be very mindful. This is a nice big store though. I used to shop at this location a lot years ago. Now I go to the Woodland Hills location as it's closer to me snd I feel safer. read more

This is the worst Target I've ever been to & I've been to several all over the US. Dirty, unsafe, horrible inventory. This specific day no carts, dirty, and only 1 checkout line open. I don't know how but this target fees big but doesn't have much stuff in it. The market area is small and everything is pretty spaced out. Their aisles are always clean but that's also cause there is so many workers but never any when you need them. WATCH OUT for the speed bump on the 1st floor going up, they made it bigger and for cars that are closer to the ground it'll mess them up. COVID: Most people wear them but masks aren't enforced. I've seen people on multiple occasions walking around without masks. read more

In all my years of shopping at target I am Absolutely blown away by the extremely low lever of customer service that Arlene (store manager) and customer service window. They dont issue and services for the customer so not sure why or what they do. Purchased airpod pros online. Drove to the store in the morning. They are empty. Not one in line. Store is extremely quiet. Walk up to retrieve my order and they said it's not ready. I said since no one is here can you please go get them? They said no. Asked for the manager and she said over the radio, "do I really need to come down there to tell the customer the same thing" So I then go up to the electronic section.... Guess what. None in stock This is the exact reason I use Amazon. Big box stores need to learn from Amazon to treat customers better. If you need paper towels, target. Anything else avoid Arlene's awful staff and shop anywhere else. Thanks Arlene for leading by example. Guess what... they dont even have one in stock now Thanks for wasting an hour my life. Thank you Dakota for making the difference and actually tried. read more

After looking at my check-ins, I've come to the realization that this is my go-to Target. What can be said about Target? You already know damn well what you're getting yourself into with this department chain! Don't be surprised to find the usual Target staples present - missing shopping carts (dirty ones with trash when you do find them), merchandise and clothes in random places, dirty floors, slow/long lines, disinterested workers killing time before their shift ends... all this would sound bad and yet I still come back. Why? It's a huge Target! Two floors packed to the brim with whatever your heart desires. The three-story parking garage guarantees that you'll find a spot no matter what time you come. Be warned though - in the garage you can only enter the store through the first and third floors. If you park on the second floor you'll have to go up or down one floor to go inside. The in-store escalator seems to perpetually be on the fritz and out of order so use the elevator to go between floors if you have a cart. Target is Target. This location is best for Target walking dates or just plain ol' shopping at all hours of the night. read more

Worst in store experience. Picked up a large pack of paper towels along with several other bulky household products. Once at the register I noticed that the paper towel packaging was teared open on the bottom and the towels inside were dirty. I asked kindly if someone can get me a new one while I waited on the side. They said no, but to go ask someone at the other register so I did and again they kindly said no. When I returned to my cashier I kindly said I will not take them. The clerk was pushy asking me if I did it , I tore the packaging and soiled the paper, and said he would give me a 5% discount. At the end of the transaction he again asked me if I want it rung up and I said no thanks, the packaging is opened on the bottom and has soiled towels. I will get them only if they were new and unopened only. The customer behind me started to chime in and said I'm trying to get free paper towels out of him. He yelled at me to just take the towels. He didn't stop harassing me and making judgmental remarks to me. When his friend started walking towards me I asked the cashier to please call security. The cashier was rolling his eyes and agreeing that I should just hurry up and buy the item. No manager on site or security to come help. Also at the beginning of the transaction the cashier pulled out a small container from his pocket in front of me and said he needs to take his pills. This Target doesn't follow any ethical standards and has no respect for customers. read more

My fiancée and I had a great experience at this Target tonight. We stopped by here because we were in the area and my fiancée wanted her teeth whitening strip. They keep those item locked so a worker has to come get it for you. There was a button to call someone to the area so I pressed it and someone came within like a minute. I notice that the price was different from what the Target app was telling me so I asked if I could ask the cashier or the self checkout associate to price adjust. The person working the floor didn't know so I just took the item with me. The store was nicely organized and it's 2 stories so you can walk around if you like, we mostly stayed on the first floor. When we got everything we needed, we went to the self checkout and I asked the lady working the area about the price differences. She just look at my phone when I was in the app and she adjusted the price for me which I was highly appreciated. read more

I'm sticking with my three stars overall, but the return process at this location is one of the worst I've experienced at any Target location. The line was slow as *insert simile here.* I waited about 30 minutes in line. Seemed like everyone had a problem that was returning something which in turn took the clerk out of action for a good ten minutes. They usually walked away slowly looking for someone to answer their question or help them. The biggest joke about Target is ordering something online that you can go pick up at Target. In theory, it's terrific, but in reality, it requires waiting in that very long, slow line and then hoping they'll be able to find your item, which they won't. Even if they can find it, they will take their sweet old time doing it. Once I finally reached the front, I was all ready to go. I had my receipt and received my refund in about two minutes. Maybe they should have a line for people with receipts, people who are just picking things up and one who are trying to return something they really shouldn't be returning. Really, I don't know why Target is so bad at returns. Well, actually I do. Maybe they make it such a painful experience that you'll just keep what you bought in order to avoid the hassle of returning something at Target. One more little dig at this Target. I needed celery and they don't even have it. They had broccoli but not celery. Way more people eat celery than broccoli. It was a bad day for returns and vegetables...poor celery being totally ignored like that. What a shame! Get with the program Target!! You can do it!! I'm on your side!! read more

A local favorite and staple. I came here last night with my favorite sis and nephew. We ran around the 2nd floor playing with the toys, bouncing balls, and testing out a lot of their merch. My nephew and I approved all the toys. He liked it so much he wanted to take one or two home for himself. We were also able to get a few toys for his friend's birthday parties including the Frozen themed Elsa bicycle. I also got a Rubik cube for under $10 bucks! It's hard not to like Target. read more

My first time at this Target location and I hope I'll never have to come back. I wasn't mentally prepared for the hassles this location throws on your way! My husband was looking for a Blu Ray that Target put out - a store exclusive. The locations next to us didn't have it, this one did, but in the back, they didn't put out on the floor. Why? Have no idea! Anyways, he called, talked to a nice customer rep. who put the movie on hold for him. Great customer service!!! So, off we went to buy it! This store is on Sepulveda Blvd, passed Burbank Blvd (coming from Ventura Blvd), on the left side. We knew we were in trouble when we realized this location has underground parking. The lot is hard to navigate, it was almost full, had to go around and around to get a crappy spot!!! Everyone was fighting for a spot, I figured they must give some free merch at this location!!! Once you park (ain't worth it, this isn't the Grove!), you have to remember the level you're at, find the elevator, the indicators are wrong. Once you call the elevator the only one that arrives is the furthest away from you, so you run! Get in!!! The elevators have doors on both sides, it reminded me of Walmart in Panaroma City (wish I could erase that!), so carefully which side you get out. Then you're back in the garage, get inside the store- on the older side of Target line and try to figure out where the Department you're looking for is. Then, up to the second level. This store is too big!!! And dirty and in a huge need of a make-over! Yes, the Blu Ray was there, locked inside a cabinet that took a while to be opened. Husband is happy. I had to use the restroom, the experience was getting to be a bit much. Restrooms aren't that clean and very outdated. I usually don't complain about that, but these ones... Did the self check out, I had it lately with the long lines at Target to check out. Then, a security lady popped out of nowhere, showed her the receipt and off we went. To find the car, exit the garage, not an easy mission. Why so hard? Shopping at Target should be easier! And more fun!!! read more

Once upon a time the Sherman Oaks Target was a flagship store. Wonderful stock with pleasantly helpful employees that made the experience fast and easy. The running joke used to be how this store was vastly different from the Panorama City WalMart. Those days are long gone, my friends. Sherman Oaks Target has completely fallen to shit. It's now right on par with Walmart accept Walmart actually carries stock. I've noticed that more and more items are simply "no longer carried" at this location which leaves customers with the only choice to drive a few blocks over to Raymer. More disappointing is how the customer service has taken such a drastic nosedive. Today I had to walk the floor and find an employee to ask for an item check. This employee (obviously too bothered or it simply "wasn't his job") "called someone" to the coffee creamer area. Almost 20 minutes later, I just grabbed something else and cashed out. I just don't have all day to wait for a bottle of creamer...even if it is Hazelnut. Needless to say, it was quite inconvenient. All the employees appear to be 25 and under, which is great if they acted like they care about the job. Hey but I get it, I was 25 once and I don't want to put anyone out by asking for assistance but I get looks like I just hit someone up for 50 bucks. Long story short, please do better. I don't like having to drive to Raymer for stock and service when Sherman Oaks is far closer. Will this review matter? Probably not....but it sure felt good to use my voice cuz you know...customers should matter. read more

I like the store, but the elevators and outside the elevators are so filthy. I can't even believe how disrespectful it is to the neighborhood, and to your customers! I don't live in a trashcan. Your customers can't even wanna touch the button for the elevator, filth and scum! I just went to dollar tree and it was a Hospital compared to your garage. Don't blame it on the homeless people to management has not cleaned that parking lot. It looks like for years full of grime scum, filth germs. It is despicable !!!I cannot believe a store like this would let their parking lot and there elevators be so full of filth and disease carting scum. Disgusting. I was so turned off. I turned around and went to a grocery store because I wanted to do grocery shopping and then shop for items as well but forget it so filthy. That's so disrespectful to us. What kind of management doesn't see that at night and call for Cleaning? It should be fired filthy and you're spreading disease literally spreading disease in your elevators. read more

This review is for one employee and not the store itself (which is normally fine). I usually like to leave positive reviews because employees typically don't get recognition they deserve for great customer service. Not this time. At around noon today (Saturday, June 17), I went to the electronics section, needing to buy a cord for my wife's iPhone. The woman behind the counter couldn't have been bothered...like she was doing me a favor helping me. After giving me a blank stare, she rudely said "What's Up?" As opposed to "Hi, may I help you?" I decided that it was best to just walk away and not engage...wasn't about to create a scene. Didn't get her name, but short dark hair and bright lipstick. Either she was having a bad day or really needs training. It also looked like she may have been in charge of that department, as she was talking with younger coworkers. Quite an example she set... I realize that I'm just some guy attempting to make a small purchase, but how about professional decorum? read more

Today, around 2 p.m., I witnessed a cashier on the second floor discriminating a child with special needs. I noticed the mother was feeling uncomfortable. I felt uncomfortable as well, especially when I saw that the cashier leaned over to give an unwelcoming glare to the child whose around 5 - 6 years old . They've added a ton of locked cabinets making it aggravating to shop here. I waited forever for anybody to respond to the alert that I needed a $2 can or shaving cream. Here I am writing another review about Target haha. Guess I'm at Target a lot. I want to start off by saying the employees at this location are always friendly and so helpful. Never attitude when you need help or make you feel awkward if you don't understand something on the app checking out. Recently one of the girls noticed my bag was from shein and she wrote down a discount code for the website on my receipt! Just above and beyond service. My only two problems would be 1) they seem to be out of stock in appliances, I feel like I'm always having to online order or end up going to a 2nd target. And 2) I'm really not a fan of their parking lot. read more

Ordered an Apple Magic Mouse 1 from the Target website. Went to pick it up and it was an incorrect item, an Apple Magic Mouse 2. The employee who helped me checked the Target website and had another employee come from the department that sells Apple Mice to confirm there was an error in the Target website, which although showing an Apple Magic Mouse 1, the item Target had with the Apple Magic Mouse 1 Target stock number was actually an Apple Magic Mouse 2. Oddly enough, Target also had Apple Magic Mouse 2's with a different Target stock number and at a much higher price. The employee called his Supervisor, Danielle, who took care of making the refund for me. Everyone at Target was very helpful. As a footnote, ended up spending my refund (and more) buying other things at Target. read more

Just go to a different location or different store altogether. They make it impossible to have even a decent shopping experience. It's AWFUL. This store is about extracting as much money from the community as possible while eliminating costs everywhere they can. I can't imagine how the employees who work at this one are treated. It seems like they mostly hire vulnerable workers who don't complain. Two stars only because it exists. Great spot to have a Target but it's clear they do not care about this community at ALL. They are open. However, they do not enforce social distancing, nor do they enforce all of their customers to wear masks during a global pandemic. Not to mention, they closed the upper level of their checkout lines an hour prior to the store closing. This then forced everyone to crowd the lower level!! If it wasn't bad enough to have crowded checkout lines on the lower level, this then forced everyone to use the elevators to get back to their cars!! Needless to say, I won't be back anytime soon. I was extremely let down today during my target run. The line to checkout was ridiculous, but no social distancing was being implemented by staff.
