I have been coming to this place for years so, here goes! I like how big Target stores are almost bursting with plenty of products. Coming in was the expected unusual set up I have known for ages. The registers are near the front and slightly to the left are the rows of carts waiting to be used. I wasn't as familiar with this place as the Springfield Mall location, though it wasn't too difficult for my friend Paul and I to find what he was looking for. My friend got groceries which wasn't very difficult as the layout of the food sections were pretty easy to access and understand. And I got a couple of odds and ends, one was finding a gift card moments before having to checkout. It was altogether a good visit. I would come here again hopefully soon! read more

I took my 5 little nephews here to get toys and snacks. We made our way to the toy section and they gravitated towards the Lego aisle. This Target location has a very large selection and inventory! The boys were all happy with their new toys! It was hard shopping with 5 boys so I didn't get to explore the entire store. It was big, with an escalator and elevator to go between floors. read more

I enjoy coming to the Springfield location, they have two levels kinda feels like your in a little mall. I noticed they have cheaper prices also compared to the City Ave location. It's always nice to drop in Starbucks for a Chai Latte while shopping. Target never disappoints. read more

Didn't plan on reviewing this store however customer service was so darn superb!! I would be wrong to not shout out the team manager Matt and his staff!! So what had happened was.... It was my nephew's bday and we came to Target to get him a shiney new bike. Well we arrived on a Friday and the bike that he liked had some issues. The chain wasn't on right so the staff guy told us to come back Saturday so he can have the bike fixed. When we came Saturday, the bike was not fixed however each staff member was so attentive and trying their best to correct the situation. One staff even called the team manager Matt who was very apologetic and before I knew it he gave me a 10.00 gift card and the schedule of the guy who will be available to fix the bike. Overall target is target but customer service is everything and I was so grateful for Matt and his staff for quality service with handling issues! read more

i was in Target and some one who brought their pit bull in which did not have any indication of it being a therapy dog took a very large dump on the floor . I almost slipped in it . I brought it the attention of an employee who said I'm not picking that up and she told me people bring in dogs but they are not allowed to ask if it is a therapy pet. it smelled really bad as well and I will not be going back if this is the policy . I love dogs but tell people you are responsible for it unless you want to lose customers because you're scared to offend someone read more

If I could leave a a separate review of the store and the employees I would. The store itself would get 2 MAYBE 2.5 stars. It was incredibly empty with freight boxes all over the place. Incredibly difficult to find anything that's supposedly "in stock" when it's all in freight boxes scattered through the store, not even in the correct sections. BUT the real reason I'm even writing a review is because of Erica Lynn and Sabrina. I sent those girls on a wild goose hunt for fluffy Halloween pens. This store was the only one in the entire region that said they were in stock. While in target we were shopping and went to the register downstairs. Of course there were no cashiers just self checkout. There was a gentleman who kinda reminded me of Santa Claus. What I found interesting is all the clear folks he stood to the side while they made their purchases. When my husband and myself get to the register he wants to damn near stand on top of us. Mind you my husband spent 25 years in the police department and he's very respected. I've worked in my job for 26 years and I felt very insulted to have this experience. I love target but I think I'll spend my hard earned money where I'm appreciated. Ground level never has cashiers. I am very unhappy after my latest purchase. I purchased a ninetendo switch game, and the receipt was illegible, meaning the game could nit be used. I was told there noth9ng they could do about it. Went to target today and used the self check out and was profiled for stealing. Note: Henry who runs self check out only profiled African Americans and none of the Caucasian customers. I spoke with Maddie the who said she was the manager and explained the situation to her and she said he was just doing his job. I guess his job is to profile every African American.. I like this Target. Plenty of lot parking on both ends of the building. The food court area is big so plenty of room to sit and eat. All the shelves are nicely stocked and never emtpy. The staff is friendly. I'll be back. The 5% off for having a red card doesn't hurt :) read more

Good Afternoon to my Yelp Family!!! I visited this location on Wednesday, April 6, 2020, around 11:50 AM. I was looking for hand sanitizer and Aleve. Suprisingly enough, this location actually had hand sanitizer. I was skeptical because I have not been able to find hand sanitizer for months. Thats because of this Covid - 19, Corona Virus. Thank God, my experience today was not like the toilet paper issue. I always enjoy coming here. It seems to me that they have some things that the other stores do not, for one thing, the cart escalator. Whoever thought of that is a genius. Sometimes I feel like I only visit is because of the cart escalator. Regarding the hand sanitizer, only one per customer. I was impressed with this Target. Squeaky clean, modern, well stocked, with plenty or parking, anchoring a part of the Springfield Mall, two stories with a shopping cart escalator I've only seen in another Target in the new DC USA Shopping Center in Washington. There is a little bit of everything for everyone, in an upscale and pleasant environment. Their small kitchen appliances section is the best I've seen in many places. This Target should be ashamed of itself. I couldn't even believe I was actually in Springfield anymore. This was the original Target in Springfield and my plan was to stay loyal to it and drive the extra mileage. That went by the wayside as I became more and more familiar with the Springfield Mall location. after making a few stops nearby and needing to waste time before picking up a pizza, we decided to stop in here for a few things. It looked so old and dirty and trashy. The floors were so dirty. The bathroom was a disgrace. If I thought I would make it all the way home I would have walked out. I am not even going to put into words what I saw when I walked into not one, but two separate stalls with two very different disturbing sights. It seems as though employees are not required to check their bathrooms. The bullseye playground didn't have anything interesting. It seemed kind of picked over and not well stocked. The employees we interacted with were not friendly. One was downright rude. I will NEVER intentionally return to this Target ever again. I highly recommend you go to the one in the mall. It's worth the extra few minutes of a drive. It's much cleaner, neater, friendlier, much more organized. I am truly disappointed that the staff...management in particular, have allowed this location to go so downhill. There's no excuse for it. It looks like everyone gave up and no one cares. Visited: Friday - July 14, 2017 - Noon I selected one pair of lounge shorts that lacked pricing. I checked for a sign or indication of price nearby; there were none. An employee quickly identified price with a handheld device. I thanked her then asked why no indication of pricing. As if on cue, she quickly explained that a contractor prices the items without Target control. I said if I cannot find an employee to ascertain price, what's the alternative. She said look for scanners positioned nearby. I acknowledged her reply then she resumed her work stocking shelves. I selected two more shorts while attempting to rationalize her statement. I could not justify her replies. I indicated that my "old school" experiences "demanded" better results. I indicated that a price should be listed on the article of clothing or posted nearby. She looked - paused - and agreed that signage was appropriate. I continued stating that nothing will be done to rectify this issue and walked away. I indicated my frustration to a manager. He promised he'd research. As I attempted to pay for the items, the self-checkout mechanism caused additional frustration. Luckily, the same manager came to my aid. Targets ship to store option and policy is pathetic. They give you exactly 3 day to pick up your item and if you don't pick up between that time your order is automatically canceled, with no email contacting you saying that your order was canceled and how you would be refunded. I'd love to know the reason why they only allow a customer 3 days after they have already purchased the item? The process makes no sense whatsoever and didn't save me a hassle... it only created one because now the baby shower gift I ordered and target canceled Is no longer available for me to purchase. Looks like my friend is getting a gift card for her baby shower gift, but it certainly won't be to target. read more

Not impressed with the customer service here at all. I called them ahead of time and explain to them what I was looking for and if they still did Amazon price matching. I was told yes no problem at all. I drove to the target location and searched around for the product that they said they had but once I got there they all the sudden didn't have it. OK no problem I already drove over here I'll pick a different brand and model of what I'm looking for and just deal with it. I opened up my Amazon app and used their official scanning tool to scan the barcode to make sure it was the same product and it was basically about $24.99 cheaper on Amazon and I even explained to the lady that I understand that it only works if it shipped by Amazon and not a third-party seller. The lady at the counter was not able to help me and had to call somebody else to come over OK understandable some people don't know how to do every single aspect of the job and maybe they just never experienced doing an Amazon price change so again no problem so after waiting about 10 minutes for somebody to come I show her my Amazon app scan the barcode and showed her exactly how I got the price and even highlighted that it was shipped from Amazon warehouse. Now she decides that even though I did that and proved it off to her she had to pull out her old metro android phone and try to search the product herself so after waiting another 15 minutes for her to find it she looked at me right in the eyes and said " i'm not really sure if this is the same one so let me see what I can do for you " I explained to her very calmly that it is the same one there's a picture it looks exactly the same I scanned your guys barcode and it even says what the product is both on the box and on the Amazon app. And at this point she still not willing to give me the Amazon price. She did search through the computer and found their so-called lowest selling price which was a couple dollars more than the Amazon price and said I can sell it to you for this much so at this point I'm like why do you guys offer Amazon price matching if you're not matching Amazons price? She said because I'm not sure it's the right one.. At this point I'm over it I don't even care anymore I'm trying to get to work and I don't have time to go back-and-forth with this on educated lady who is not willing to complete a simple task when I went above and beyond to show her the sale price on Amazon and even showed her how to use the app. I'm a customer. I should not have to go through all that and still not even get the price I was supposed to get. I hate the fuss and complain about it but that is very unprofessional and it was a big waste of my time I was already upset that they told me they had the product I was looking for and then I Drive all the way over there just to find out they don't have it. All-around I had a very disappointing unprofessional experience. I've used Amazon price match at Best Buy before and it literally takes them an extra two minutes to get me out the door and there's never any questions asked. I'm not saying stay away from this target I'm sure there's a bunch of great people that work there but God for bid you try to price match anything through Amazon you might as well not even waste your time. If you were so confused and it was such a big issue and you were so scared to add the Amazon discount why couldn't you just call a manager? The crazy thing is I remember going to Best Buy and buying a product and with the Amazon price match it was literately almost $50 cheaper than what Best Buy was selling it for and it was literally no issue as long as it was shipped by Amazon and it was the same product everything was great. Horribly shopping experience there again tonight. Store is dirty and torn all up again for remodeling (which they seem to do every 6 months so you can't find what you want). Many shelves in the home products and grocery at least 1/2 empty. Only was able to find in stock some of what I went in to get. But the worst was only 1 cashier light on out of all of the checkouts but no one was actually there! That sole disgruntled employee was over at the backed-up self-checkout trying to fix that computer. No one around to call for assistance or the store manager, so I just pushed my cart to the side and walked out. There are too many other options to shop. This is my go-to Tar-jay and it is nicer than the one in Philly (on Colombus Blvd) for sure. I can get vaious and sundry supplies, kids stuff and household goods. The bad part? I a always seem to drop no less than $80 and usually over $100 every time I come here - which is about every other weekend. They have a (slow as molasses) starbucks on the lower level and restroom on both levels. read more

Watch out for the craziness of getting into and out of this parking lot. Other than that, when it's not too crowded (which it wasn't when I went, and it was a Saturday) this place is pleasant enough, for a box store. It is clean, organized, with helpful signs, it's not too difficult to find anything, even with the 2 floors of merchandise (they have a shopping cart escalator next to the people escalator and its super funny, cool and weird...oh and useful...yeah, useful). They had a good variety of things here and the stuff on display was actually in stock. I had a positive shopping experience here, a real one-stop. Which is good because when I do have to go somewhere like Target, by the time I get out of there going into another store is pretty much the last thing I want to do. read more

Before I moved to Fishtown, I would spend most of my time and money at this Target location. I would easily walk out with 8 or 9 bags and a receipt showing the damage, usually in the triple digits. I loved that I could park in the rear lot and walk into the building without having to deal with the front entrance. I knew where everything was, but still enjoyed walking the aisles as if all the merchandise was new to me. Today I visited this store in hopes of finding a simple black dress for a wedding I'm attending in 2 weeks. I parked in the back of the store, but was surprised when the first thing that caught my eyes was electronics and a jewelry display. What happened to the Isaac Mizrahi display that used to greet me? Panic set it. They were remodeling the store. Kids clothing and flat screen TV's had taken the place of my beloved women's & junior section. Deep breath, deep breath... everything's okay. Orange clearance stickers on shiny watches caught the boyfriend's eyes. I looked around the store and tried to piece together where everything could be, as he bought a new wristwatch for $5.48. At the top of the escalator was the women's section. No plastic covers and no harsh, uncarpeted floors. The women's section was easy to navigate and had more space than when it was downstairs. I found a few items, including the $29.99 Mossimo dress that I'll be wearing in 2 weeks, and headed to the dressing rooms. The well lit, roomy, brand new dressing rooms. I checked out on the lower level. Our cashier was so nice, and friendly. Started up a conversation and left me smiling as I walked out of the store. Despite the remodeling project, I had a great experience today. read more

The customer service here is very poor. I waited for five minutes for somebody to come to the cash register to ring me up. Even when she came she took her. Whatever happened to the art of customer relations? It's a shame all the good retailers are going downhill. Just wished some of the staff took more pride in their jobs. Like, I get working retail sucks but when you're more interested in yourself then helping with store appearance and up keep, it's just shows how little you value yourself as an employee. And god forbid you ask for assistance in finding something; spoiler alert, you won't get any. Now this blanket statement isn't meant for everyone. There are a few nice employees working the check out but I can maybe count three people in the whole store who were helpful, personable, and took pride in their job. read more

Great choice available for one of their smaller stores, even found my favourite iced coffee which I can't seem to find anywhere else. This target is just downright dirty and unorganized. The staff is rude and the bathroom? Disgusting. I stopped to print some pictures from my wedding and as always...no one to be found in the photo department. When I finally tracked down an employee, she was rude and told me she didn't know to do the photo center...no one ever knows over there. I've asked where the Tupperware was and was told "I don't know" The bathrooms are dirty and the toilets barely flush....leaving peoples "business" for the next poor unfortunate soul. THe staff again...not helpful and just rude. I don't care to hear their conversations about "gettin' some" after work... and I don't care to explain what that means to my Curious young children either (what's he want to get, mama?) I used to love this target and would rather come to this one over the mall target. I'll go the extra mile and head to that one from now on.... target, you should be ashamed. read more
