I wasn't part of the conversation, yet I felt deeply uncomfortable just overhearing it. Then they blocked me, so my review was deleted. Looking back on yelp here, it seems other people have had issues with the owners so I am not at all surprised. They said my motivations were "suspicious" for posting the review. I was embarrassed that while I was trying to shop, they were name dropping employees and talking about them. I've never felt such second hand embarrassment while shopping in my life.

I was told it would be two weeks. It took over six. When I went to pick the piece up, it was handed over to me with no comment. The work was very poor quality -- not tightly stretched with ripples throughout the work. I asked about this. The woman at the shop (who did not do the framing) said she had asked her manager because she noticed the poor quality. (Though they were just going to hand it over to me without comment!) The team wasn't confident they could get it tighter without ruining the paint! I was told that they wouldn't be able to do better -- and any attempt would put me at the end of the very busy holiday queue -- and that I should try taking it to a different Michael's location with more experienced framers. But this location would not communicate with those shops - that was up to me. And to make it even worse, when I went to take it home so I can bring it elsewhere, they said they had nothing to wrap it with to protect it because it was large. Other than an apology of bad work, no conversation about what they could or would do to make this right.

It's definitely not busy or crowded but I was surprised at how well kept their sales floor was. I was easily able to find what I was looking for and their prices are better for grocery and such than my local Target which was refreshing. I can't wear a mask due to very real medical reasons (blood pressure related), under my doctor's advise. Target had apparently rolled out a new (and already outdated compared to their competitors) policy on masks, but the clerk was either entirely ignorant to the details of the policy she was attempting to enforce, or she just wanted to rant at me in a sort of deranged power trip. She told me I couldn't come into the store due to store policy and state policy. My only option was curbside pickup. Period. Target's actual policy is: "Starting August 1, we're requiring guests to wear masks or face coverings in all of our stores, except for those with UNDERLYING MEDICAL CONDITIONS and young children." State policy is essentially the same. The clerk would not show me their policy in print, so I had to look it up on their website after I left. I suppose if I had a heart attack in the middle of the cereal aisle, it would have been a preferred look for the store, than to show a little consideration for someone who has no problem with respectfully social distancing? I've been going to the Exeter store since it opened, but I will do my shopping at other grocery stores or farmers markets in the future, and all non essentials will be bought on Amazon.
