I placed an order on the app for pick up. I get home to put away all my stuff to find out that the 4 Oui desserts I ordered were all WAY past the expiration date. It is January 29. 2 expired January 17th and 2 expired January 4th! How disgusting that they don't pay attention to this. Went to the Target in Santa Clara off El Camino Real specifically to buy a microphone for my sons computer. The Targets in San Jose ran out of these specific microphones. Once we arrived there my son quickly located the microphone. There were at least three there. Paid for it using my Target card. Saved $7.00 and I used a $5.00 gift card too. Saved a total of $12.00. A decent savings for one item! Didn't need to buy anything else. We left satisfied. read more

This review could probably be applied to any Target store in the SF Bay Area. No matter what the shopping experience is--i.e., putting things in the cart--there comes a problem at checkout time. Target, like virtually everybody else, wants to save money so the provide a totally inadequate number of checkstands to handle their traffic. I am sure they figure people will just stand a suffer while the wait, but they underestimate me--I leave the cart full of goods and walk out. I'd rather support online retailers who deliver to my home than suffer by understaffing. Today's experience was particularly annoying. I needed a single item which I ordered for pick-up. You know, "Guaranteed Available in Two Hours." I left the house, ran errands, and went to the store 2-1/2 hours later, just about the time I received an email that the primary item in my order wasn't available. ("But please come pick up the rest of the high-profit stuff you didn't really need.") I shopped for an alternative size package of what I needed and picked up other stuff along the way, then headed to checkout. TWO checkstands open with a line of customers. Self checkout jammed with people moving slowly. And customer service had one person working with a line of several people. So I walked out and left the cart. I will order from Walmart online or Amazon. BIG QUESTION for Target: Why the h*ll do you insist on having 20 or 30 checkout stations when never more than five or six are open. Rip 18 of them out and install that many more self checkout machines. Target rates a big fat "F" for today's experience. read more

I love target , I can never walk out of there with just one thing , and today I had to come in twice & of both times my daughter had to use the restroom . I always use the family one as it's easier with a little one and the bathroom had pee stains on the toilet and toilet paper all over the floor , but I disregarded it , the second time I had to come in my daughter had to use the restroom again and it looked the same if not worse considering it was in the evening . I know you can't control who comes in and out of there but PLEASE PLEASE have more frequent bathroom checks . As the manager or the lead on duty make it your duty to enter the restrooms hourly or send someone and after make sure the employees actually did their job . Nothing is worse than a dirty bathroom. In addition to all that why is everything higher priced than whatever is online ? I don't have time to price match except on things I buy frequently like my kids Pediasure , but I know everything is over priced buy a couple dollars or cents . read more

Love coming to this store. This Target Store always seems to have products on hand expect for the customers receipt. When my receipt didn't print out the employees there didn't seem to have an answer nor the manager. I must of waited for half and hour for a response with no solution in sight. The Self Service debit machine seems to be hanging on its last screw with the area a mess. For the amount of employees just standing around, they could at least have someone standing post helping out customers. I used to come here regularly and then hadn't for some time. I decided to come in to purchase undergarment that I needed to update badly which so happened to be once the COVID-19 had set in. As I was looking through the drawers for the correct size the actual store manager, Kim, with another manager, walked by and scorned me for seemingly browsing the drawers for too long, telling me to get what I needed and go, that I'm not allowed to browse. No one who was close by had been spoken to at all and certainly not in this manner. After reading other Yelpers complain about the discrimination against Asians, I realized I wasn't the only one and needed to confirm that it's true since the same treatment was given to me on my one visit. Noticeably, Asian employees who work at this Target location are docile and wouldn't dare talk back to anyone. So throughout the store it is mainly Mexicans, Hispanics, and Latinos that dominate the work staff but at least they are kind and often helpful. The discrimination and rudeness comes from the store manager and assistant managers that are not minorities themselves. Also they said no returns are allowed until this Coronavirus is over, even if it's a year from now they said they will still honor that guarantee. If they have already begun taking returns I will update my post. read more

Quite simply, the largest Target I've been in. One floor, so larger than the two story Super Target I've visited. As it's very new, it's very clean, orderly, and has lots of electronics. Not crowded at all (compare to Cupertino) and great carts and double seats for those with kids. read more

The one that people are returning everything they've purchased for the last 5 months and have one team member working that counter. Puchasing online is supposed to be a convenience, but not at this store, you get punished for it. That is unless you're too lazy to get out of your car and come in to get your stuff, then there is a staff of people to cater to you. I have now tried twice and the result is the same, I got the items off the shelf myself and used self checkout and was done before I would have reached the team member. Time to move on. read more

Was here yesterday to pick up some things as it was near the location I was at. I've never been to this location, but all of them are pretty much the same right? Right. The exterior was a little nicer than most locations as they seemed to put some thought on how to actually design this place and they did a good job I will admit. The interior is just like any other Target. Plenty of good items and half way decent prices. They also price match at this location which has saved me a crap ton of money in the last year. After reading through some of the previous reviews, I was a bit wary, and was braced for confusion and a long wait. Imagine my surprise when I pulled in the parking lot and a woman was standing outside waiting for me with my order! Since when do customers get asked for their receipt when exiting the store? Let me guess... when you are brown and have a beard? Yeah that happened to my husband as he was walking out the door with our purchased items we PAID for with me right behind him carrying our baby with receipt in hand. Does target also need to close down and give their employees a bias training? This was a very irritating experience to go through when we were the only ones asked for a receipt. Other people walked out before and after us and were not questioned to show a receipt. So, I have never done this before... but I just abandoned my cart at Target. I finished shopping at 9:30 and pulled into a line to wait for the cashier to check me out. There were only two people in front of me. The person in the lead left almost immediately. The remaining customer began discussing coupons and the purchases they were making with the cashier. At 9:55, a good 25 minutes later, the line still had not moved. I put my items back into my cart, left that check out stand, and looked at the other stands... Only to see that none of them were moving either, and the self-checkout stands were mostly broken and had a line for whatever DID work. So I just left my cart there and walked out. Listening to the cashier and the customer for 25 minutes, I know for certain that the slowness was not all the customers fault. Target has just hired some extremely slow chatty people. If you are also slow and chatty, you will probably feel really welcome here. I kind of just wanted to get home, though. EDIT: I finally went back to this target. I did buy some things, but I also saw what other reviewers have discovered: they allow their foods to expire and still keep them on the shelf for sale. Interesting experience at Starbucks in Target today.. I wanted to buy the new reusable color changing cold cups that are sold as a set in Starbucks everywhere.. I asked to buy a set and was informed due to people making money the Starbucks Mgr and Store mgr decided to sell the cups individually!? Is that even aligned with Starbucks Corp direction!? My friend bought the same entire set in a Starbucks Target in Fremont. This was the worst service and I even asked to buy (5) drinks and get each cup and was refused service. This is a general trend I've been noticing at Target in the past year - cashiers bagging items sooooo painfully slow that I could literally start dating, fall in love with one of the woman I'm dating, start a romantic relationship, argue over having children, break up, see other women, decide the first woman was the love of my life, get back together, realize that I do want children, get married, spend time trying to conceive, fail to conceive after several months, find a doctor to help us with our problem, find out our problem is a psychological one, get referred to the top psychologist in america, solve our problem, have triplets, raise our triplets until they go to college, watch our triplets all fall in love and start families of their own, then die all in the time that the fucking cashier has bagged one fucking microwaved dinner. No seriously, I was here on a couple nights ago at like 10pm and of all the 4 cashiers only KARINA (who opened a new aisle because of how slow her coworkers were going) was the only good one. She seriously rang me and like 3 other customers up with ~10 items each in the time that the other 2 cashiers were finished with one (trust me I was watching them). So yah, if Karina is not a manager yet then please promote her immediately and give her supreme command of training all future and current staff NOW. read more

Working in retail during a pandemic is tough! I knew driving to go pick up my order from here that is was going to be packed. I had a order pick up and live down the street so once I left my house I put that I was on my way. The drive up section was full as I pulled into the last available spot. I am not new to drive up pick up I use it all the time so I did what I usually do and say I'm here as I wait. After 30 minutes and seeing people who arrived before me drive off I was getting a little frustrated. After asking the drive up person about my order she didn't have an answer so I pulled into a new parking spot and went inside. I asked the security person to talk to manager and I believe the man who came to help me was the manager his name may be Chris? Either way he was very helpful and went to find out what was going on with my order. After some time he came back and said my order was lost. He had an employee go to find the things on the shelf and recreate my order. This was an hour long fiasco of me just wanting to get my drive up order and I was so thankful to finally get some help. I want to say thank you to the manager who helped me he is the epitome of a good manager. He made it right for the customer (me) and went above and beyond. It was crazy busy the store and with all the oline orders so I commend him for keeping his cool and providing me with great customer service. I am a store manager myself and know it get tough, but he was great. Thank you for fixing the issue and then some! Happy holidays! read more

Not my top choice! The store is newer and shiny but customer service is lacking here. What's make it worse now is that the employees don't even wear the traditional "Red and Khaki" anymore so you can't really tell who is working or not. I recently called the store to ask a question and the person who picked up the phone had a nasty tone (please learn how to answer the phone!). After I was transferred to Guest Services, the employee told me that they would go "check for me" except all he did was lay the phone down and continue to joke around with his coworker and helped a customer process a return. So yeah, not the most pleasant experience but it's Target and if I need something, it gets the job done. 2 stars only because it's right next door to a Sprouts and Chase Bank (I literally can do most of my normal errands in one swoop!) Huge, bright, open, one-story Target. Love the layout. Great clothes department, electronics section, toy selection, etc. Everything is well-stocked and organized, but we can only hope it stays that way! (Our usual target is always half empty). Though this is the third closest target to us (we have three within 5 miles... Kinda overkill), we will continue to come to this one as long as it stays clean and stocked. Huge parking lot. Surrounded by restaurants (the habit, chipotle, Boston market). Only downside is that team members are mostly new and confused. read more

I had an awful encounter with a cashier called Anna where she put her hand down her pants once while we were right in front of her and then she did it again a 2 time and completely went into her pants and We were even able to see skin & I had to remove all my items and change registers because she was going to touch all my toddlers things including drinking cups and clothes without washing or hand sanitizing her hands. Made a complaint to the actual store and they did absolutely nothing she was there doing the same thing not so long after the incident. I'd avoid her scanning my items if possible read more
