Big surprise. The place that charges more than Amazon has worse customer service than them. I have been here numerous times and the customer service is on par with a dollar store in a sketchy part of town. I specifically came here for the Missoni release and my first impressions were horrible. The customer service lady was so freaking rude and so was a random old lady that worked that. It's not a crime to ask if Missoni is still available, and I don't care if you're asked a million times a day. If it annoyed you that much, then don't work there anymore. Besides those two biotches, I found three other ladies beyond helpful! They decided to help me out and track some stuff down and I'm really thankful for it. So.... this is Target. Fairly inexpensive stuff, great return policy, great priced bikes for when yours will inevitably get stolen if you live along our wonderful beach cities... Great place to come after going to Kobey's Swapmeet! Let's face it... Kobey's doesn't have the best of restroom or coffee setups. Seriously, you have a choice of paying someone a buck to use their gawd awful porta pottys or walking to the sports arena to use their broken down stinky toilets. So, it was very nice to be able to just stop across the street at Target. To get some Starbucks coffee, grab some snacks and wash up in a decent clean restroom. Oh and of course this Target is very clean and the setup (as with most Targets) is very welcoming. I will definitely come back here to shop, grab some coffee and snacks! read more

This Target is horrible. Let me tell you why... 1.) Watch when they ring you up! There has not been one time that they have not over charged me due to their scu prices not accurate with their registers. I'm not even talking cents I'm talking 1 to 2 dollar mistakes. I don't know about everyone else, BUT I work hard for my money and that 1 to 2 dollars is MINE not theirs! 2.) Rude ass people when you return something or tell them they once again, over charged me. AND If they "tell" me one more time to put the plastic bag I returned my stuff in in their recyle bin (which I don't!) ... ASK me and I might do it, if not do it your damn self! It's really too bad, this store has went down hill frfom customer service to high prices to rippin' us off. Great big place! Love that this Target is here because I have been to so many Birthday parties across the street at Laser Tag, it's nice to have somewhere to escape. They have everything you need. A clean store, a Starbucks. What more can you ask for. They are well stocked. I like the toy aisle, lots of Lego varieties which is nice. They weren't well stocked in kids books which was a bummer. But that was really the only thing I couldn't find. read more

This review is based on my experience for drive up pick up. I pulled up to the space and was pulling up my phone app to notify that I have arrived. This is the second time I have utilized this feature, and the app was giving me an error message when I tried to check in. The first time I've used this at another location, I had the same issue, but thought it attributed to my app not updated at that time. I just figured I'd have to just walk in and pick up. Luckily I didn't have to, as your associate was hustling hard and working smart. He brought an order out to another customer in another space, instead of just going back into the store he had the common sense to check in on me and ask about my order. I told him the app wasn't letting me check in, but he was accommodating and just requested my name. He was just great and I just really appreciated his efficiency. On my way out, I called to him and asked his name just so I can give him his kudos for awesome excellent customer service. I hate myself because now that I'm writing this, I can't remember for the life of me ~~I couldn't really hear him. I'm so sorry, because he really deserves to be recognized! Not bad, not bad. Really odd layout that took some adjustment. I remember the first time I walked in this store I had a total "wtf" moment because EVERYTHING seems to be in the wrong place. But now that I know where things are, I'm good with it. I simultaneously love & hate Target, but most of the people working here are nice & they sell a lot of things I love (Method cleaning products, cute home goods that don't break the bank, etc.) The hate comes from the fact that I tend to spend too much time and sometimes too much money at Target. I guess that was their goal, though, so kudos to them. Anyway, I'll be back over & over because I'm addicted to Target. The first step is admitting you have a problem, right? PS: I've never had a hard time finding parking here, even during busy hours. So, that's a plus! The parking at the old Target I frequented (Poway) was often a BIG pain (esp. during the holidays... Located on Sports Arena Boulevard, this is the most convenient Target store for visitors to Ocean, Mission and Pacific beaches. The Target at Mission Valley Mall just off of I-8 is a close second. It's a large Target, with a layout likely much like a Target near where you live. They stock essential beach items such as umbrellas, towels, sunscreen... at regular Target (not beach) prices. And let's not forget the first aid. One possible difference from your Target at home: awesome kiddie shopping carts. read more

Regular old target, nothing new, nothing terribly special about this one vs. any other one. It has a great location, its really the only store of its kind near-by and has a huge lot that it shares with a home depot, grocery store, bank, and pet store, so you can really get all of your shopping needs taken care of in one stop. I LOVE this location!! This store is so well stocked. They always have such a broad selection and tons of different sizes in most articles of clothing. Service is incredibly friendly. The girl in jewelry is so sweet. Also, I never struggle with parking here as the lot is quite large. Only downside is that the checkout lines are usually very very long - not really the location's fault, but something I would love to see resolved. read more

Sigh...I typically walk in with the intent to buy one thing but always leave with armfuls of stuff I NEED. This Target is always clean and the employees are all very nice. I'm writing this review to specifically talk about how wonderful their pharmacy is. I've been here to fill prescriptions for a while now and I'm really amazed by their level of service. The pharmacy clerks are very kind and always greet you with a smile. The pharmacist explains every prescription thoroughly. What really got me to love this place was that they called me a few days after picking up a prescription to make sure I was doing okay with my antibiotics and wasn't having any severe side effects. (Is that typical pharmacy procedure? I dunno but I love it) Plus! Your prescriptions get color coded to each household member. read more

This location is more expensive (just by a bit, perhaps 3% or so) than the Mission Valley store on a list of items I needed for work. I went to both stores for the same stuff and the Sports Arena store was a bit more for hand sanitizer, soap, office supplies. It was interesting to compare the receipts. Thought I would post this in a review so people would be aware that pricing does vary between nearby locations. I wonder if the east county locations are even a little less? read more

Like this target a bit better than mission valley just because it isn't as busy as the mission valley location. They are doing construction on this location so parking and trying to find the entrance is kinda weird if your coming from the east. read more

What can I say, I love Target! This location isn't always picked over, I am pleased to see what I need when I need it. Although I recently went and discovered no kids sunglasses. This is San Diego, they should be in stock all the time. Tthe staff is normally friendly & helpful. I never wander around aimlessly without being asked if I need help finding anything. It makes it easy for a mom! Starbucks is always a great idea. And I used my Gold card. The register linked to my card. Awesome follow through on incorporating the two businesses! Bravo! read more

In my opinion, Target is one of the greatest stores ever. They have pretty much everything I need and it's dangerous to just browse around because I always end up buying a bunch of stuff that I didn't intend to buy in the first place. This particular location is my favorite and I loved when they expanded it and added a star bucks inside.I don't normally grocery shop there but it's nice to have the option to buy some groceries without having to go to another store.It's definitely a one stop shop for most of my needs. read more

This location always has a good selection of items, and it's close to my house, so I keep coming back. But the women's bathroom is always so gross. I have been at different times of day, weeks apart and it's always dirty (which is a very polite way to put it). The shopping center and the general area around Sports Arena is pretty busy, so it can be difficult to get a parking spot on the weekends, but it's nowhere near as busy as the Target in Mission Valley. The staff here are always very friendly. There is one female staff member in women's softlines who is just amazing. She is so helpful, I wish I could remember her name. Overall, if the store were a bit cleaner I would go for a 4 star review. read more

I get most of my household stuff here (picture frames, floor lamps, shelves, etc.) and I think by far this is the best Target. I dislike the one near Mission with a passion because finding parking and trying to get out of the vicinity is always a pain with foolish pedestrians trying to kill themselves by jumping onto the road without a glance if there's a vehicle approaching. And I don't like shopping at places with escalators I prefer to have everything on a single level. One of the managers here is truly a professional. I observed in annoyance as a homeless man got his debit or credit card repeatedly denied for his transaction with the cashier and manager politely telling the man his card isn't working and he might want to contact his bank. The man goes off on them about customer service and constantly badgers the manager to "SMILE!" and in the end he produced another card and was cleared. As he walked out the door, he continued to shout at the manager to smile (he was, poor guy). Then, he does a turnaround and shouts at the manager to come back because he is displeased with the items and he wants to return them. The manager smiles and shows him to the customer service while the guy continues to rant. Man. I would have lost my patience with that guy props to the manager. read more

You know target has expensive prices on some stuff. I found this beautiful pink rose weekender bag that fit my big purse and rolling backpack for $20 dollars I was shocked at the awesome price. It served as my carry on bag. Target came through on my last minute travel solution. read more

Target in general is pretty much like oxygen...a necessity of life. I wouldn't say I particularly love going in there, but since I need a regular supply of toilet paper, contact solution, hair ties, tampons, etc...I regularly shop at target. The sports arena location is close to me, and it's not supercrowded. My top 4 regular purchases are: -Black Yoga Pants by Champion (they come in LONG because I'm freakishly tall!!!) -Long & Lean tank tops (again, I'm long, they're long...it works. For $6) -Kitty litter. (we have 3 cats, and that's 3 cats' worth of poo.) -TV shows on DVD (eventually everything goes on sale, and anything that's $14.99 is worth watching. obviously.) read more

They understand Black Friday wrong, you come and check prices- they are higher than regularly. I wanted to buy online from Target an Aura drone which was priced for 79.99. Then I decided to wait for 2 days for Black Friday and buy it in the store without waiting for delivery. In the store a rep (a guy) told me there are no glove controlled drones in Target which I did not believe and went to check myself. I found it and the price was 99.99. Surprise surprise, 20 dollars here you go black Friday. I asked the cashier (a very nice lady, thanks to whose patience and cooperation I give 2 stars to my my visit instead of 1). So the cashier connects me with the manager who says "well prices went up". OK, I am asking if they do a price match. The manager assures me they do. I look for the same item on my phone, find it for 79.99, show it to her and she says:"we do a price match only for stores, not just online websites". Reasonable enough, I look further and find the same in ToyRUs. When I asked her if ToysRUs is a real store to do a price match she said:"sorry we can not do this". read more

The Point Loma Target is always spotless. But it seems to suffer the same affliction as the one nearer my house - whatever you're looking for is probably not in stock. Enough so that if you're going to make a shopping trip, there's no reason to go to Target because you'd still wind up having to go somewhere else as well to finish your shopping list. Example: the other day, zero PowerAde in stock but tons of Gatorade on display. I was looking for a microwaveable dishwasher-safe travel mug without a handle that would fit in the car's cupholder. Tons of sport bottles, but what few travel mugs they had were small with tacky decorations inappropriate for an adult male. This store does have the market cornered on certain flavors of LaCroix, which makes my wife happy. Maybe the lack of inventory is why two of the last three months my RedCard bill has been 0.00. Oh - on that note, Target seems committed to an interest rate which hovers somewhere around 25%. I tried contacting the company to see if terms were negotiable with a good credit score but that didn't seem to fly. Target used to be my wife's home away from home, but no more. It just seems like brick and mortar stores can't get the job done and they want to blame Amazon for their own failures. But it's Target that keeps sending me back to Amazon to buy what Target didn't stock. Funny thing is, I just bought the same travel mug on Amazon that I'd previously bought from Target a couple years ago. read more

This target is better than the Mission Valley one. Big store and lots of check out options. Even at Christmas time it was manageable to deal with. Clean and orderly which is always a plus at a Target store. Very small men's section though. read more

Hands down the worst Target in San Diego. Everytime I come here, the customer service is lousy. Especially given the current situation of being unable to find ANY paper products in San Diego. I showed up because the website was showing it in stock. Go there... no paper products. Ask this red-headed employee wearing glasses if he knew when they could expect to receive another shipment. He gave me an attitude and told me that if I'm not here at 8, it will not happen. I work in healthcare dude, I will not be here in line at 6am waiting for you to open at 8. Then he had the nerve to talk under his breathe after I walked away. Absolutely awful. read more

This target is the bane of my existence. Every time I go I get so angry for one reason: the lines. The lines are so long and there seems to be at least 4 people in each line. The checkers are slow and it takes 15 minutes to pay for my stuff. It's too bad because I love shopping there, but half the time I see the line, abandon my cart, and walk out empty handed. Apparently they are understaffed because they NEVER open additional registers. It's more often I see those check out lights go off and a line close...seriously, this target was much better before their huge remodel. read more

Such a GREAT staff at this Target location! My roommate and I were searching for barstools that were on sale, and when we called this Target location, the girl on the phone went out of her way to search for the barstool in the back stock to let me know that if she found it, it would be put on hold for me at guest services. When I called back to talk to guest services, the woman on the phone walkied to her coworkers to see if anyone had found the barstool because she didn't see anything in the holds section up front. The first girl I talked to walkied back that she was on her way up with it! I'm so thankful for their staff and they were so much help to us after we went to a couple other Targets with no help. read more

I was shopping and needed to use the restroom, I have a toddler who was sitting in the cart, and I decided to use the bathroom before checking out. I had the toddler with me and since carts are not allowed in the restroom, I decided to go to the bathroom before I checked out and left the store. I did not want to leave my paid for stuff outside the restroom where some one could steal it. I left my cart outside the bathroom. When I got out of the bathroom, this security guard followed me and stared me down and acted like I had done something wrong. I do not appreciate being treated like a crimimal when I did not do anything wrong. read more

Typical Target really, but the 2 stars reflects the bad experience with the manager. We had come in with a problem with having purchased the wrong model of something and it had been awhile. The model we desired was in stock only at this location but not at another location. It was necessary for us to ask them if they could look up the receipt since we didn't have it. So i understand, the manager has to be wary of these special situations, people try to pull fast ones over stores all the time. But that's when we started getting attitude with the manager. Baring the details it was just a very rude experience and not helpful at all. In the end calling corporate eventually they told the manager to override the transaction and clear it all up but it was a pretty irritating experience. read more

Zero bagging skills. Please train your people. The registers are always slow and they can't figure our how to bag. It's not hard, don't mix food and bleach, put heavy stuff on the bottom. Bag ALL the items. Came though and jasmine just threw random crap in the cart, even though there was PLENTY of bag space. Just a hot mess. read more

3/1/19, Friday after 5:30PM - Ordered on line, plastic charged, and items aren't ready for pick up. {{Terrible service at this #Target.}} Spoke to Devin, states she's a store manager and hands me the 1-800 customer service line to vocalize my complaint. Called the 1-800 line and the wait time is over 10 minutes. Called this Target at Sports Arena and after voicemail hell prompts, no one picks up at guest services. Called again, spoke to Alexander in electronics who states he can't transfer the call to guest services because he doesn't know Devin the store manager. Call #3, spoke to Kim (?), another manager, verbalized experience and states she will forward my contact information to the store manager. It's one week later and still haven't heard from him. End result of this Target experience at Sports Arena: headache, increased BP, waste of time and my health. THIS Target experience defeats the purpose of on-line shopping read more
