It's a pretty impressive feat to consistently create terrible experiences at a Target. I dread having to go here, but sometimes I have to because of the location. Here is a summary of why: 1. So much is locked up behind glass cabinets 2. Employees rarely ever come to unlock something when you ask for assistance 3. When I ask for help they make sure to show how much of an inconvenience I am 4. As I was checking out once another employee came up to the cashier and said "make sure to look at that bottom mirror to make sure people aren't STEALING." She was implying I was stealing....? And I clearly wasn't. I was kind of shocked and just said "wow. How convenient and cleaver!" 5. There are many times that items are not stocked, and boxed products are constantly in the middle of the floor, making it harder to get around 6. Once I moved something out of the way to get to the shelf behind it, and an employee showed so much irritation at me and moved it back, indicating I was the problem. 7. Once I asked where something was to an employee, and the woman, without saying a word, flat out gave me the most hateful glare. If looks could kill, man. Trying to intimidate me or something? At Target? Over what?? I felt the need to back up slowly and apologize for bothering her because she seemed very unstable. Who on earth is in charge of these people working here? What are the requirements to be hired? Who is overseeing them and communicating standards? What are the consequences? read more

This is probably the worst experience I've had at a target. I came here to grab a 4 pack of redbull. I walk up and 2 registers were available. One lane had 2 people. One had 1. I saw that that the lane that had 1 were moving faster and basically was empty. I hopped in line and this male cashier tells me "sorry. I'm closed" I said okay. I get back in the other line. As I'm about to be rang up. A lady comes by with this cart and asks if he's open. He says yes Excuse me? I thought he was closed? Highly disappointed. If you're not going to do your job and instead pick and choose who you ring up. This isn't the place for you. Do better. I needed to rush out so I didn't have time to complain to a manager. I can't complain about this Target store. It's in a great location, always clean, stocked with great products, and has plenty of parking. I typically shop for groceries, personal care items, and cleaning products. From local products to national brands they typically have what I'm looking for. There's great selection of fresh produce, dairy products, frozen foods, canned food, and beverages in the grocery department. The prices are decent and even better during a sale. I usually search the end caps for deals on leftover seasonal products and close-outs. The checkers are always friendly and work through those lines quickly. I've never had any issues with this store and look forward to shopping there. read more

Middle aged gentleman that works the register and drive up services is always friendly professional and sensitive to needs. He works hard and goes above and beyond to help. Ordering through Target's app online for drive-in pick up is a convenience I always take advantage of when shopping, but it often comes with its draw-backs... Ordered five CANS of dog food, 2 Boxes of cereal, 2 new rubber spatulas, one large container of Greek Yogurt and 2 packs of fresh raspberries. As I always provide my own bags, I asked the young delivery man to put the yogurt and berries in the red insulated bag and to use another bag from the ones conveniently ready to the left of the red bag for the other non- perishable items. Arriving home I found the five cans of dog food in the insulated bag, the yogurt and berries sitting on top of the conveniently stacked extra bags and the cereal and spatulas not bagged and loose in the trunk. Target's vetting of potential car delivery employees must be a great challenge for them . Determining one's aptitude to use common sense apparently is in the eye of the beholder. read more

Jennifer (STORE MANAGER) was wrongfully not wanting to help me. I felt discriminated because I am Asian American. Jennifer is WHITE lady. The cat and jack return that clearly says ONE YEAR GUARANTEE on their website. She and Mercedes did NOT want to help me return (5) items mind you I HAVE MY RECEIPT ON MY TARGET APP WHICH IS PROOF OF PURCHASE. They said that because my items were "outgrown" that I couldn't return my children's clothing (that I tried to return within the one year policy" they said since my children's clothes was "used and washed" I couldn't return it. THAT IS THE POINT OF THE POLICY? CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG? Also, I am disabled with a back problem literally wearing a vest to keep my back together and they were having me stand there going back ask fourth as they refused to help me. PLEASE TRAIN THEM PROPERLY and have them UNDERSTAND THE CAT & JACK POLICY before any other moms have a hard time going about doing a return TARGET offers. They recently installed a bunch of glass locked cabinets for seemingly low cost items. A sign says "push button for assistance ", yet there are NO buttons. ??? So you have to go walk around and find someone who inevitably doesn't have a key. They call someone who comes 5 minutes later. When you have to repeat this process three times for items that cost $10 it gets pretty frustrating. read more

I had an online pick-up here. No other Target had cheese cloth except this location in Riverside. Pick up was quick and easy. The parking lot and the drive up area is quite big. Not my regular go-to Target but still convenient. read more

Hello, I wrote a yelp review back in 2014 and now a one star review in 2025. I received a Target Gift Card by email from Target Headquarters. The customer service person informed me I could either show my email on my phone or print out the email page with the bar code and the clerk would scan it when I made a purchase. I went to Target to make a purchase and when the clerk tried to scan the bar code it would not scan. I was informed that I had to put in on my Target app. That is not what Target Headquarters said but when I got home I did put it on my Target app. Went back to the store to make another purchase and showed the clerk my bar code on my Target App (wallet) and it still would not scan. Worst customer service at any target!! Rose at customer service desk was very rude. So was her manager Alonia and Elon their service ETO who rose called. They said their policy is different from other target stores and wouldn't honor my 5% cash back. Rose rudely told me to go to other target that gives 5% back after I spent an hour shopping for my items. She and her manager was so smug about it too and not apologetic at all for the inconvenience. I used to enjoy shopping at Target. Not so much anymore. In the past I thought they had progressive policies for a box store. Not so much anymore. We recently joined a gym. We're trying to get into better shape. We needed padlocks and elastic wrist bands to use for lockers. This store is very poorly organized. We finally found padlocks. We searched high and low for key rings. We asked two different employees and were given two different answers. Finally we checked their kiosks. It appears we had to order what we needed online. We gave up and went to an Ace Hardware store. There we quickly found exactly what we needed very easily. I have 2 Target gift cards I wanted to use. Once I've use them, we probably won't be back. As we wandered the aisles full of cheap plastic crap we found their pride merch stuck way in a back corner. This is June and pride month. I think Target could do better if they wanted to. read more

The staff is consistently kind and helpful, whether you're asking for help in-store or using Drive Up. I'm a big fan of Drive Up orders, and this location is consistent. My orders are always ready faster than expected, and the team is super quick to bring everything out once I arrive. No long waits, efficient service every time. Inside, the store is tidy and well-stocked, and it's easy to find what you need without feeling overwhelmed. It's my Target! After bouncing around and having three different addresses in six years since moving here, this is officially my Target. I've been through the renovations, the disappearance of the soft pretzel, the lockdown of all personal care items, and the savage disappearance of all holiday decor two months before the holiday in question (per Sacramento - holiday shopping is a SPORT!) and I'm still in love. The footprint is just the right size, the store is tidy, the merchandise fresh, the return aisle hopping, and the Starbucks is singing. Don't forget that dollar section when you walk in! But my favorite, favorite thing is their mobile order and pickup. I'm here almost every week getting household essentials. This past year plus dealing with my mom's death and two orthopedic surgeries I have really relied on the mobile shopping and consider it a true blessing. Sometimes I couldn't deal with crowds and being on crutches and in a sling, shopping was tough. This service is so appreciated. I like the new dedicated parking space -and the Starbucks mobile ordering also. The team here is so on top of a very demanding job and are so efficient and positive. I couldn't help but compare how efficient Target is with items on lockdown after my WalMart experience last week. Hands down I've waited 5 minutes tops for help with something in a locked cabinet. Why would you go to WalMart when Target is here?! read more

Went into target with the hubby to do a little shopping they had so many Halloween costumes and Halloween treats, we got some scarecrow trail mix which was amazing. The price can be moderate to pricey but it's worth it. The clerk was the sweetest lady she put a smile on our face. Love this target. read more

I am a disabled senior citizen and I paid to have free delivery for a year. I utilized this option a few day's ago and it asked me how my debt was and how much did I want to tip the driver. I can't afford to tip the driver on top of what I have already paid for the year delivery. I can't get the tip page off my screen in order to start another order. I feel target is trying hard to make it difficult not to tip their drivers. I plan on contacting Target's Corporate Office tomorrow. read more

My review does NOT reflect the employees that work at this Target location. Actually they are probably the nicest Target employees out of any of the Sac/Roseville area. However, outside in the parking lot you are taking your life in your own hands. Shady people, attacks, people verbally attacking you because your white, following you in the store to continue the verbal threats for no reason. It's not worth the risk anymore. I've gone to this location long enough to see it go down hill. I understand the reason for locking up merchandise is to limit theft but workers to avoid opening any of the cases is ridiculous. I motioned the sensor 6 times to wait over 5 minutes for someone to unlock the case for socks. After a worker walked right by me and avoided all eye contact I said forget it. Went to another isle to find my partner who had also been waiting over 5 minutes for someone to approach them and yet no one came. There were many workers stocking shelves but no one to unlock the cases. This process may limit theft but it's also losing money spent at your stores. Do better. read more

I've never been so frustrated trying to get in touch with a store. I called my local Target multiple times throughout the day, and no one ever picked up the phone--not once. I let it ring for several minutes each time, even tried different departments, but nothing. It's unacceptable for a major retailer to have such poor phone support. If you're not going to answer customer calls, at least offer a working alternative or callback option. This experience has seriously made me rethink shopping at Target in the future. This target is good. Has all the usual items. Some stuff is out of stock and takes them a while to restock but that's usual. Target is not the place to coupon at. I use printable coupons (stuff from coupons.com) and some of them get declined. There's even coupons I get from verified manufacturer's websites that dont work! It's a little frustrating, so if you're a couponer that uses other coupons from other sites - don't do it here. Just stick to the app. That's what I've learned. read more

I have made TWELVE phone calls to this store to see if they carry a product. They have not picked up once. Not once. It just rings for a dozen or so times and then hangs up on you. If you are going to lock up thousands of merchandise items, you don't get to huff and puff and rush customers as they are trying to browse. Two employees stood there making comments as I tried to find the item myself, they never asked if I needed help and even after showing them the item on my app they told me it wasn't there, I spotted it seconds later no thanks to them. After using self checkout I had to stand in line as someone checked receipts. Had I not needed this item immediately I would have ordered on Amazon. I was unable to purchase 3/4 of the stuff I went in for because they have locked cabinets now requiring you to push a button so an employee can come get the item for you. Unfortunately, nobody came despite several attempts with said button, asking the employees that walked past me, and 2 trips up front to request assistance. I don't see how this is an effective solution to theft. You paid someone to stock and lock the shelf, you need to actually sell the items to make a profit?! Also, the cabinets behind me had been pried open either by a shoplifter or someone smarter than me (I left empty handed). I won't waste my time here again, 35 minutes total time wasted here. read more

This is a cool location. It is brand new. Of course everything is in work outside so you have to find the best way to get in but once that's done you are good to go. Everything is organized and you can tell where stuff is. Very simple and easy as well. read more

The online ordering for in store pickup works okay, nothing great. However, the inventory management system is a disaster. Several times I have ordered items for pickup, only to have the order canceled or reduced at pickup time. In 2013 Target gave away everyone's credit card information. Folks in the industry pointed out that Target had outsourced almost all of their data processing. There were no knowledgeable people within the organization. Apparently that was never addressed. Target keeps blaming shoplifting for their inventory problems, but in reality it is an inability to count products on the shelf. read more

If you are trying to find a good Target, I would recommend this one. Unlike the one on J street, this one has a huge selection of stuff. The employees are helpful nice. Only bad thing there is no new Xbox Games there but a lot of PlayStation and Nintendo. read more
