The produce section here is seriously lacking! I came yesterday and all of the tomatoes had brown splotches all over them. I needed lemons too and all they had were these mini lemons the size of key limes. There were also moldy tomatoes at another display in the store. It is also inconvenient when using self check out here, if you have any issues or need your bags to be confirmed expect to be waiting around for a few minutes, if there is even a worker around to help you.

The food is always fresh. There is a wide variety. They recently changed the layout to make each one similar but I've already learned it, not hard. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The ambiance is easy going and casual.

I just happen to be in this area going into the Wells Fargo in the same shopping center as this Save Mart is located. I was going to get something for my friend to BBQ me for dinner and since I was here anyways, I'll just go in here and have a look around. I go by the meat department and WOW, what is this? They have Snake River Farms American Waygu Beef here! This is way super high end beef, especially for Save mart to be carrying! I'd think you might find this beef at Whole Foods in upscale Roseville or something, but not here at Save Mart! I see the price tag first, $36/lb. for the rib eye steaks ..... whoa that's a lot I'm thinkin. I call my BBQ friend up and he says that's actually a great price! He says get it! OK, I look in there and see a big thick cut rib eye with lots of marbling. Gimme that one! It's about 1.4 lbs. and costs almost $50 bucks ... for one steak! He said he'll help pay, well, OK then, this is something super high end for me! He seasons and cooks the steak up on a gas grill, reverse sear he says. It does look impressive unwrapped. Cooked up perfect medium edge to edge, no brown parts. The taste, OMFG! I could tell cutting it, the knife went thru so easy and the meat was soft and wiggly as I moved the knife, so tender. That first bite, holy moly steakie wakie!, this was the best beef steak I ever had in my LIFE! Kinda like sex, but even better! My friend agreed, and knew Snake River Beef was some of the best American Waygu, and for the price, a steal! That was such an incredible beef steak, the price was high, but OK, so worth it. Just once give these steaks a try, you;ll agree, just have someone that know how to cook, cook them!

Cause we arrived in the morning on a weekend and there was one out the door. The line moves somewhat fast, though, but keep in mind that things sell out fast! Service was all smiles and efficient. Once you're inside, peruse the bakery case, order, pay, and be on your way! They have some picnic tables outside, or you can take it to go. We chose to take ours to go. My best friend got a few pastries, and I enjoyed the Cardamom Bun and the Salty Sesame Croissant. The bun was super cardamom-forward, which I enjoyed, and I loved the savory nuttiness. Both pastries were flaky, buttery, and so soft. I enjoyed sampling my best friends pastries as well! I'm not too familiar with the bakery scene in Sac, but I do enjoy Moonbelly Bakery and would love to come back. The bakery is off Folsom Blvd. with free parking in their lot out front! I love bakery and bread in general, and within that world there can be average baking but Moonbelly does as good as anyone. Their bread has great texture and flavor, their pastries are consistently fresh and well-crafted, and it all just hits the right notes whether you're grabbing something early in the morning or stopping by later in the day. One of the best things about Moonbelly is that there's nothing super specific you have to order because everything is worth trying. There's no single item I'd highlight as "the best" instead it's more like "just try anything here and you'll quite enjoy it." From their crusty loaves to the tender pastries and everything in between, the quality and care are evident in every bite. If you love good bread and genuinely great baking, Moonbelly Bakery is absolutely worth seeking out. I'll keep coming back again and again.

I've been coming to Estelle's Bakery & Patisserie for years since I used to live only a block away,…read moreso it became one of my favorite places to walk to for tea and desserts. I've since moved out of state, but during my last visit in January this year, the treats and drinks were just as delicious as I remembered. This was always one of my favorite spots to spend a few hours catching up with girlfriends over tea and pastries. The ambience is lovely and gives off fancy tea party vibes, making it perfect for casual conversations, book discussions, or just relaxing with something sweet. My personal favorites are the rose macaron and the mont blanc desserts. If I'm feeling hungry, I usually order the ratatouille, and the vanilla bean French toast is amazing when I want something sweet but filling. Matcha is always my go-to drink here too (though it's on the sweet side, so I don't think it's ceremonial grade). I remember my first visit; It was when I stopped by later in the day looking for a birthday cake for my son's 8th birthday about five years ago. I ended up choosing their chocolate mousse cake on a whim since it was one of the cakes they still had on display, and it turned out to be a good decision. My son loved it, but it was too chocolatey for me so he ended up having most of the cake. Still one of the memories I remember most from here. It was something I kept in mind that if I wanted more options and variety, I should arrive earlier in the day. There are a few downsides that keep this from being a full 5 stars for me though. The parking lot is very small and street parking can be difficult, especially during busy hours. The place gets crowded very easily, which is why I usually preferred walking there when I lived nearby. There's often a guard stationed at the front kindly holding the door open, though I imagine that's also due to the neighborhood. Pricing is definitely on the expensive side, but honestly that's fairly expected with a patisserie. My biggest issue is that service can noticeably decline when they're overwhelmed. Depending on when you visit, the line can get absurdly long (almost out the front door), and I've experienced slower service and even had my drink mixed up with another customer's order once. Since I order oat milk due to lactose intolerance, getting the order correct is pretty important. Thankfully, when the bakery isn't overly busy and adequately staffed, the employees are attentive, friendly, and very helpful with the ordering process if you have questions. It is still one of the Sacramento bakeries I miss after moving away. It was so lovely to have a bakery down the street from home.

I decided to go for the chicken and mushroom congee. (rice porridge.). I also got a green onion hotdog roll to take home with me. To drink, I had a green tea with lemon. The congee was amazing. A rich complex flavor. It had a little bit of ginger in it, you could definitely taste the ginger, but it did not overwhelm the rest of the porridge. The chicken was good, and for the mushroom, they used black mushrooms, which have a deeper flavor than regular mushrooms. So very good. It looked like a small bowl, but I couldn't finish it. Some came home with me, and it reheated very well. It also came with Chinese donuts to put in the porridge. Chinese donuts are a little bit different. They definitely taste like a doughnut, except they are not sweet at all. They are savory donuts, and are perfect to use as a crouton, so to speak. The green tea was very good, and they didn't overdo it with the lemon, and that hotdog roll that I had later, the pastry was delicious with just a little bit of a "chew" to it, they were definitely high-quality hot dogs, and it wasn't just green onion. They had something mixed in, I'm not sure what it was, but it didn't taste raw like green onion can. Just a great lunch. I'll be back. Thanks.

I was unable to get the brown sugar biscuit shown on their instagram for the month of February so it's possible it sold out before I could place my order, so make sure to stay on top of that if you want a specific flavor! The biscuit sandwiches were pretty good but since the biscuits are so thick, it's a bit hard to eat as a sandwich. I basically just ate mine without the top half and then ate the top half separately after, with the delicious strawberry butter that I added to my order. If I could round up to 4.5 stars, I would, for that strawberry butter! The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because although they were good sandwiches, I wouldn't say it was anything too unique, especially at $13 for the most expensive sandwich (with andouille sausage) and $10 for the cheapest (egg and cheese). I wish I had gotten the chance to try the brown sugar biscuit because we only had plain and blueberry for ours, which seem to be more obtainable at other places. I want to try something more unique that would bring me back to this place only. I'll definitely keep an eye out because I want to try more of the different butter flavors and more biscuit flavors!

Even though the parking lot is packed and you go in there and the restaurant may be packed You're still going to find a table. I like sitting out on the patio because it's not as noisy as being inside. Now my girlfriend and I have been regular customers of elite bakery on Fair oaks boulevard and that place is also five stars. But Ettore's edges them out because of a larger menu, daily specials and a larger selection of pastries. Plus it's a little cheaper. This is a bad place to go if you're on a diet. But other than that go there and get your grub on. I'm there all the time. You'll probably see me there. This place gets the coveted four pigs.

Okay so I wanted to be fair and update my review I am 17 now, and a lot has changed. We come every…read moreyear because my family really enjoys some of the breakfast items. The service has changed A LOT, it's so much better and everyone is so nice. They have done their fair share of improvement, I even got complimented???? I don't like being hard on waiters and servers since I know their jobs are hard, so I will always give credit when credit is due! The food is also somehow better, and I would recommend their potatoes.. PS: I feel like everytime I go, I get scouted by Christians that give me brochures to about Christ and Jesus?? Love my Christian brothers but it definitely gets uncomfortable at times!

Some of my favorites: 1. Croissants- all of them lovely... can't miss! 2. Smoke Salmon Tartine- some of my favorite things balanced on top of a yummy toast (roasted carrots, creamy cream spread, daisies, and of course salmon) 3. Red bean sesame cheesecake- sounds crazy, but quite good and I'm not even a fan of red beans 4. Mceggggg- yes, five stars for the "5G" Sando!

Faria's traditional croissant in 2025 was top notch and comparable to croissants in Paris, it was THAT good. Better than even Bay Area croissants. It was fluffy, buttery and flakey. With the right amount of butter ratio. But something changed this year. Now it's flat, quite dry, w/ lowered butter ratio, and higher sugar content. Like Faria decided to cut corners? Sorry, if this is wrong. But it's now a MID croissant, when it was damn near perfect. I tried it a few times this year, just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. But obvious recipe change. What happened, FARIA?!?!?!?! When feedback was given under comments on their IG, they also blocked me. Weird. Why the defensiveness? Again this review is left w all due respect to what was a perfect croissant. No need to change a great product.
