Trader Joe's always has a good selection of items for frozen and packaged items. The frozen foods section you'll find a good variety of all types of foods and even ethic foods. The produce , meat, and deli items is very limited. Not the best place to for fresh meat. This location has the worst parking out of all the Sacramento locations. The parking lot is small and the spaces are tight. If you have a truck or sub you might want to bring a compact vehicle to fit in the spaces if you don't want to get your car dinged or scratch. For that reason. Bring my wife's small compact car.

As per usual, the service here is amazing. I absolutely love this place. They're always so kind and they always have the best selection and I'm so grateful that whoever owns the place was thoughtful enough to make the flowers a price that is affordable for me. I'm always taking the flowers to my son's grave and it can get really costly picking up fresh flowers and taking them over there or plants so I'm very very thankful..

Been hunting down this tree. Finally found it. Cashiers were nice but store was so busy.

I love that they carry wholesome healthy items! They have really cute Easter treats right now. None that are dietary friendly though. Man that parking lot gets crazyyyy though! Some people get a lil coo coo for coco puffs. Also a bummer that they aren't dodgy friendly. It's also small so options are limited, but they have things you can't find elsewhere! I love how they label things that are dietary inclusive. People working there are quite friendly too, they seem happy! One of my favorite local grocery stores but beware, it gets busy!

I'm obsessed with TJ's! I had never been to a Trader Joe's when I was younger so once I visited as an adult, I went crazy! I always leave with several bags and I HAVE to try all their new goods. The staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful. This store in particular is very clean as well. My only gripe at this location is the parking. Oof it is rough. Despite that, I just moved five minutes away and I am in heaven! Ps. Try the bamba, it's my favorite snack! Thank you Trader Joe's for carrying it!

Since KP International originated as a Korean market there is a huge selection of Korean food and has the most extensive inventory of Korean products. There are multiple security guards throughout the store as a crime deterrent and can call the police if needed. Even the cashiers are overly vigilant. On one occasion I was pushing my cart by the register to look at items arraigned across from the register and I was yelled at that I needed to pay. I explained I was going to the items for sale and the cashier told me I needed to leave my cart next to the register. I left my cart next to the register and she stood next to it and proceeded to stare me down as I went to look at the display with the items. The Tofu Soup from the food court area was average. There was barely any seafood but it tasted good. There was a large amount of kimchi served on the side with a side of rice. The cost was high considering the lack of ingredients in the soup. Ordering on the kiosk was fast and easy. Service was good as the workers were friendly and helpful.

Whenever this happens I end up leaving with a lot more items. I appreciate that they carry a wide variety of items including some ingredients and items that are hard to find in the US and even at other Asian grocery stores. I've stopped into many different stores and I feel like Oto's has variety and quality at a great price. But none of those reasons are the real reason I truly love Oto's,let me tell you what I really love.....Late last year I decided I was going to learn how to make my favorite food in the world and that is sushi.I went ham,I got the knives I got the kits,I got the rice maker,I got all the seasonings but what I didn't have was a spot to pick up the highest level of fish that was needed to really make homemade sushi pop and that is where Oto's came in to save the day. Their daily "sushi-grade" tuna and salmon that they sell in the back of the store is so next level-even a novice like myself cannot mess up a homemade sushi meal. They have so much to offer at Oto's,all the different levels of salmon and tuna, depending on your budget but all of it is amazing. I will forever be indebted to Oto's for helping me raise my sushi game at home and making my wife think that I'm just the best sushi maker-when it was always just the high quality fish offered at Oto's that did the work-Thank You Oto's for that. In closing-if you ever find yourself in the Land Park area and want to see what all the hype is about at this incredible spot or maybe you just want to try your hand at some home sushi making,be sure to stop by Oto's Marketplace-it truly is a gem amongst gems. PS....Parking sucks here-no way around that one unless u get lucky or have a handicap placard-don't like the parking.

Whatever can't be find at grocery stores, guaranteed it can be found at Red Star! Crazy how time flies! The owner always had his son with him in the store (when going there as a youngin'). Fast forward to today, and you can be pleasantly serviced by his son at the register. While the dad is in the aisles stocking or providing help when searching for products. He always says "hello" when coming into the store. :) The only downside, is there are sometimes expired items on the shelves. You just have to be extra vigilant and double check those bottles and cans before paying. If you do end up buying something expired, they will happily refund you what you paid for it. Adj: Incredibly impressive and Excellently Extensive…read more It's been many years since my last review and this is not my usual Asian/Chinese grocery market since SF market opened on South Land Park Dr and is closer and much less crowded. However, I was in the area for lunch the other day and decided to do some shopping here and was blown away by how clean and well-organized it is as well as the comprehensiveness of the store's offerings. At the entrance, my kids were captivated by the little games at the front lobby. Then there's the food court, it looks very yummy and the offerings of roasted chicken, ducks, pork and other meats look very enticing had we not just had a very full lunch, I would've definitely grabbed lunch here. There's also the hot food section w/classic "fast food" Chinese dishes like chow mein, fried rice, potstickers, etc. All of it looked pretty fresh and smelled delicious. A new to me section is the Grab and Go foods. I don't recall those in the past, but perhaps it's been available for awhile. So convenient! There's quite a few different choices to include baos, dumplings, chicken, and duck, and several kinds of other meats, all precooked and just need to be rewarmed to be Ready-to-Eat. Then, we walked to the meat section and it's very extensive, all kinds of beef, pork, poultry, fish, seafoods, of both fresh and frozen varieties. Next, there was the produce section with tons of Asian veggies and fruits, all looked quite fresh. The tofu section along in the cold case of the produce area was big, so many kinds to choose from and 99 Ranch even has their own store brand of tofu now, that's news to me. Finally, the rest of the store was filled with shelf-stabled pantry items from snacks like chips, cookies, crackers, packaged pastries, other candies and sweets, to dry ingredients for cooking like dried fungus, mushrooms, herbs, dried fruits (like dried dates for soups), and lots of sauces in jars. Canned Asian drinks and bags and boxed tea bags and tea powders were also widely available with an incredible selection to choose from. The store itself also houses several individual boutique stores to provide convenient services such as a travel agency, an internet and mobile phone store, a clothing store, a tea and TCM (traditional Chinese Medicine) type herbal store, and several different smaller restaurants (more like fast food cafes). As we finished shopping, we walked past the bakery. It was filled with all the yummy carbs you can imagine from sliced breads to bao's and buns to all kinds of custom and ready-made birthday and other special occasion cakes. Overall, I was really impressed by how much 99 Ranch can stock in their store and the sheer variety they offered of every kind of items. Service was friendly and helpful, staff are all busy stocking or helping customers check out, so mostly it's a self-service store, but if you were looking for something, a staff could be found to point the way. I'm glad I came in and saw all the things 99 Ranch offer now so when I'm looking for something specific I cannot find at SF Market or another grocery store, I'll come here and probably find it.

I purchased clearance food items that I later realized -- without even opening them -- were clearly not fresh and not safe to eat. This is especially serious to me because I have children, and I rely on stores to sell food that is safe for families. What makes this worse is that I was told in the store that these products were "safe" and that employees buy them themselves. When I returned to request a refund, one associate initially said it would be accepted. However, the same employee who originally reassured me suddenly refused, became visibly upset, and told me "it's the law" that they cannot take the items back. That statement is misleading -- stores cannot avoid responsibility for selling food that is not safe for consumption. On top of that, during the same visit I was overcharged for other items compared to the posted prices, which added to my frustration and concern about how this business operates. This was not just poor customer service -- it raises serious concerns about food safety and consumer rights. I strongly recommend that others carefully inspect any items before purchasing here and double-check prices at checkout.
