    Food court

I was in the area getting some work done to my vehicle and decided to eat something while waiting. The food court here is self serve for the dim sum counter. The food looked hot & fresh but was only warm when I started eating. I almost rated the place a 3 star but the table area is really clean so that the experience a 3.5 star. As I stated before, I was just in the area and I highly doubt if I would come back. There's other dim sum places that are always hot when I get my food but like I stated before I was just in the area.

Ranch 99 has almost about everything. Love coming here for their seafood. You can ask for crab to be steamed when you buy them live. Saves you cooking time, or you can even buy them cooked. Other than that they have a food court with a few food options to choose from. Love their bakery section. Stop by there using bake good coupons depending on how much amount you spend on groceries.

I went there today to get a few things for Chinese New Year. The line was very long and I had to go through obstacles like for track and field. They put too many things in front and near the cashier. It's hard maneuvering my shopping cart, already with so many people. So disappointed. I'll go elsewhere!

I do love me some 99 Ranch Market as they have the best selection of all of my favorites. We celebrated my Chinese aunt's birthday this past weekend and went crazy with the dim sum, char sui baos, roasted duck, and all sorts of chips and cookies. We also got the die fo whipped cream frosting cake with strawberry cream in the middle. My brother and his family came up from the central Coast in California, where there is nothing like it there and it was a hoot watching him and his daughters going up and down the aisle. 99 Ranch Market was my "go to " Asian Market while living in Southern California and for me, they are the biggest and the best. Clean and organized. All the great smells of Asian culinary delights. Staff are very friendly. I spend $$$$$ there always and bring loads back over the mountain to Reno. So worth it for me. Fun experience, great food. Highly recommend if you are from Nevada and in the Sacramento area. 99 Ranch Market has several locations too!

I went to this market to buy sone bags of chicken wing. I think they for got to change the price. I saw it $17.99 and i take the picture of it. When I was checked out it is $26.99. That's so scammer. I told them why's the price go up a lot. They said they will go check and then they changed the prices. And they told me they already changed this morning. They are lier.

Store is pretty clean, lots of space to move around and so many choices! I got some Roast Pork from the deli and the skin was so crispy! Also if you like fresh Shiitake mushrooms, it was $6.99 a pound there. We pay $13/#1 in Hawaii. I had a conversation with the lady in the jewelry store there. She and the deli people were all very nice.

Great way to start the year by purchasing fresh produce from the store. They give you coupons to redeem at the bakery. Take grocery bags if you don't want to pay for bags.

    Do they sell salonpas patch?

I've seen it there. But I'd check out Costco too.

Does this place take ebt/California sunbucks?

No. Just US cash, debit, or credit card.

    Do they have MOCHIKO flour?

Yes! They have MOCHIKO flour in 99 Ranch Market. It's also known as "Tapioca Flour."

I'm looking for mangosteen. Does anyone know if they sell it here? I'm driving a fair distance from out of town, so I want to make sure they have it before making the schlep.

They have some canned I think but as far as fresh it may depend on weather and season. I'd recommend calling first!

Yes! They have fresh rice noodles. It is at the first rear end cap from the left side (the vegetable side) of the store.

My mom has always brought me and my brothers along with her to buy caribbean food (particularly particular fish that isn't sold anywhere else!), seasonings, treats, and drinks (malt is my guilty pleasure!). Whatever can't be find at grocery stores, guaranteed it can be found at Red Star! Crazy how time flies! The owner always had his son with him in the store (when going there as a youngin'). Fast forward to today, and you can be pleasantly serviced by his son at the register. While the dad is in the aisles stocking or providing help when searching for products. He always says "hello" when coming into the store. :) The only downside, is there are sometimes expired items on the shelves. You just have to be extra vigilant and double check those bottles and cans before paying. If you do end up buying something expired, they will happily refund you what you paid for it. I would say I will be back. But, you already know I will be for my next Goya or Vita brand malt fix. Or when my mama is gonna cook up some yummy island cuisine. Yum-my! :)

But none of those reasons are the real reason I truly love Oto's,let me tell you what I really love.....Late last year I decided I was going to learn how to make my favorite food in the world and that is sushi.I went ham,I got the knives I got the kits,I got the rice maker,I got all the seasonings but what I didn't have was a spot to pick up the highest level of fish that was needed to really make homemade sushi pop and that is where Oto's came in to save the day. Their daily "sushi-grade" tuna and salmon that they sell in the back of the store is so next level-even a novice like myself cannot mess up a homemade sushi meal. They have so much to offer at Oto's,all the different levels of salmon and tuna, depending on your budget but all of it is amazing. I will forever be indebted to Oto's for helping me raise my sushi game at home and making my wife think that I'm just the best sushi maker-when it was always just the high quality fish offered at Oto's that did the work-Thank You Oto's for that. In closing-if you ever find yourself in the Land Park area and want to see what all the hype is about at this incredible spot or maybe you just want to try your hand at some home sushi making,be sure to stop by Oto's Marketplace-it truly is a gem amongst gems. PS....Parking sucks here-no way around that one unless u get lucky or have a handicap placard-don't like the parking.

AnyWho upon walking, and I immediately noticed that many of their products do not have pricing on them. I asked the gentleman at the counter if they had any Fiji cream buns, he said that they were in the refrigerator, which I walked back and got. These Fiji cream buns are supposed to be fresh buns with some sort of cream filling in the middle. I was excited to try and so is my daughter. When I arrived home and open the plastic container, the cream bun was hard as a rock. I checked around the whole container for an expiration date and there was none. I then called the store and spoke to a gentleman. I assume it's the same gentleman who helped me and voiced my concern. He told me that every Wednesday they get a fresh supply of cream buns, which can't be right at all, considering these were either frozen previously and placed in the refrigerator or they're expired. He proceeded to tell me that the company usually puts them in the refrigerator and he's well aware of the product being very hard and suggested I leave it out for a few minutes. Then I asked him well if you are aware of this situation why didn't you inform me, I definitely wouldn't have spent nine dollars on this had I known. The fact that this store does not have pricing on their items nor do they have expiration date is very sketchy if you purchase from the store, please check for expiration date and please check the cream buns are fresh.

On this particular visit I took my adult child with me to SF Supermarket,as she had never been there.I wanted to have some fun with her so I took her straight to the meat department in the back and let her see all the unique options they got back there-it was great-not sure she has ever been to a place that has so many great unique options in their meat department. After walking around the store and picking up a few sauces and a few new ramen options we never tried before-we set our our eyes on their hot food bar over near the front and that's where our trip took a real upwards turn. My daughter is obsessed with Banh Mi and I generally fight the urge to get one but this day that all changed and she convinced me to try a Banh Mi. So after looking over the options I went with what seemed like the safest option, the grilled pork($7.25).It was a tough choice because their hot food bar has so many incredible looking options-I wanted to try so many-but I had a full food day ahead of me that day so didn't want to go past just a small snack. They prepared this Grilled Pork Banh Mi really fast and I got to tell ya-it looked delicious, being that this was my 1st one though I didn't have much to judge it on.We decided to split it between us and I got to tell ya-I loved it-at that moment I was getting the hype of Banh Mi.
