I wish I could give negative stars. This is the worst target I've ever been to. Last night my husband and I went Christmas shopping for each other, together. This target was very poorly stocked, almost nothing in the labeled spots and if they were there it was all wrong/misplaced items. Throughout the store, we would have to split up or look away while one of us grabbed something, and the secret shoppers were very obviously just hanging around us and following us. extremely uncomfortable when we're Christmas shopping. Then, every other item was locked up! And of course when I finally needed assistance, nobody was to be found. but when I'm looking around they intimidate and follow us around the store? we could only do 1/2 shopping and now have to make another trip to a different target. It pains me to write this, as I am such a huge Target fan, but this particular location has a lot of fixin' up to do, to get its act together. On the day I came here with my kid, so SO many areas in the store were in disarray. I'm talking, clothes strewn on the floor, shoes scattered all over, items haphazardly left on shelves far away from their departments. It reminded me of some TJ Maxx stores I occasionally went to a decade ago in WA state. Messy, hard to find items, and hard to navigate many aisles (especially with a cart) due to items strewn on the floor. There were also many empty shelves, perhaps due to supply chain issues. That said, there were more empty shelves here at this Target than I've seen in other stores. I used to go to the Redmond, WA Target weekly when I lived in WA state, and now that I live in Canada, I still drive to the Bellingham, WA Target every 4-6 weeks to stock up on items I can't get in Canada. So I'm still loyal to Target and love their brand. Which is why the state of this store was so disappointing and so off-brand. read more

This was my go -to for a quick shopping when I lived in Vancouver . who doesn't like Tax free shopping if its so convenient . If I was in the area , I would always stop by just to see what's new and in season . There is a small Starbucks right when you enter ,which is great because I love a beverage while I shop . The store is tidy and neat , I wouldn`t really say its well organized because I have had difficulty finding stuff multiple times . Inventory is also an issue because so many times I have liked things only to end up hearing we don't have that in that size or that shade The self checkout is great because as is the norm these days , there isn't much stuff and the billing lines run long .Which brings me to another negative -lack of stuff . If you have a question it will be a big pain to find someone to answer it . The parking lot is ginormous so parking is never an issue . One other benefit is that it is located in a spot with a lot of stores near like TJMAXX, home goods ,DSW etc , so if you don't find something specific at target , u can always find it at a store nearby . This particular location is not very well stocked when it comes to groceries so I wouldn't recommend them for that .They do online pickup and delivery as well , which comes in handy when in a pinch . But as I mentioned that inventory is an issue this store does lack when compared to others . read more

Only Karen the manager was great!! I had no idea. The lady who was walking me around the store and showing me things was the manager of the store. There is a mean lady who was checking out people at the counter and I always say Hi. How are you? Have a good day. She wasn't saying anythin being rude to me, and I kept trying to ask her if she was okay and she was still being rude to me and ignoring me. To make a long story short, Karen was the manager and said she was going to have a talk with her. The t-shirts are wonderful, and I appreciate the grocery section, which is the island's only grocery source. So many items are locked down. To buy simple, toiletries, such as toothpaste or shaving cream you have to hit a call button and wait for customer service to unlock it for you. It can take some time. This past week I went in to buy an electric handheld shaver, not only did I have to wait to have the cabinet unlocked, I then learned I could not put it in my cart. The Service Rep was required to walk it up to the customer service counter and then when I checked out, I could request it. It was in a box large enough that there's no way it would have fit in my purse. I'm not sure what they're so concerned about. They slow down the checkout process and make people wait because customers cannot put items of some value or type in their cart. To add insult to injury; I also purchased a lighter you would use to light a candle. I was checked for ID because apparently you have to be of a certain age to buy a lighter; I'm in my 60s. The result is that you leave the store frustrated, angry, and insulted. Target would have had to work really hard to make the experience less pleasant. Buying online is the only way to go anymore, I least you can leave the online store with your dignity intact. read more

Local target and have been shopping here for the past couple months. Recently there have been reoccurring issues with a certain employee. I mainly do my grocery shopping on Wednesday as that is usually my day off. A couple weeks ago I was at guest services doing a pick up order and I asked to speak with the manager as there were some difficulties. Alex tried to help but ultimately came off as condescending and patronizing. I try to not leave a bad review, but this is a must. I just let the store on this evening, I believe we were at register 3 if I'm not mistaken, the register on the right to lane 7. The cashier was a short female, with short hair, maybe Hispanic or native, I'm not sure, and it doesn't matter her ethnicity, I'm only pointing this out so you can identify your employee and provide some coaching. While my whole time there shopping, not 1 person checked on us or greeted us. That's fine, I get it, not everyone is happy, or enjoy their job. But if that's the case, don't get a job with facing customers in the description. As, we were checking out, the cashier that's referenced above, has no customer service skills, no hi, no smile, didn't ask if I'd like a bag, didn't say thank you, or have a good night. Not a single word, UNTIL I selected cash back, at which she was giving me two 20 bills, I asked for 1 to be in change, 1, 10$ bill, 1, 5$ bill and 5 ones. - that's all she handed, she put the other 20 back, and only have me the changed part.. I told her she's missing my 20, she pointed to my change and said that's 20, what you ask, correct, I asked for I set to be in smaller bills. I'm took 40$ cash back, so I'm missing a 20. I asked for 20 in smaller bills. She reopened the til and gave me a $20. Now I have the correct cash back amount.... She didn't say anything. Next guest, she didn't greet them either, and again it's fine, but at least she asked if they would like a bag. Maybe she doesn't like Asian people, I don't know and I don't care.. but have some basic customer service skill and if you're not going to talk to 1, don't talk to all! As a big retail corporation like target, you should train or at least hire employees that's grateful to have a job. read more

Watched us sit there and ring the "help" button to get a Lego out of the case for about 20 minutes and ignored us even when I went up to talk to him, acted like I wasn't there. Then we decided to spam the button because it had been 30 minutes and we wanted to leave and he got extremely aggressive, yelled "can I help you" and when we pointed out what we wanted he walked away and never came back. The target it's self is fine, but twice now after leaving this target I've had a screw in one of my tires causing me to get a flat. I don't know if it's some wild coincidence or what but I am curious if anyone else has had this experience. Could it be someone purposely leaving screws where you drive right onto them? This Target is OPEN! It has always been my Target of choice ever since they opened in Janzen Beach many years ago. I really like the store layout. There are two floors with home decor, bed & bath, toys and seasonal upstairs. Most of the items that I come for - athletic wear, health and beauty, accessories, groceries - are on the first floor along with electronics, making it super convenient to get in an out even though it's a large footprint. I've always been a fan of their Champion brand of workout leggings, pants, zip up jackets and tops. Affordable, stylish and they last a long time. Their accessories department is fun to peruse. I'm always picking up fashion earrings, necklace or a scarf to breathe life into my wardrobe staples for just a few bucks. Target always has the best price on Pantene shampoo and conditioner, Crest toothpaste and other health and beauty supplies. Their paper goods, as in toilet paper and paper towels, are usually more expensive than at the grocery store but if I happen to be there when the items are on sale, I stock up. Upstairs I like to check out the home decor section. Over the past few years they have really updated their stock carrying fresh, on-trend items like mid-century modern vases, planters, pillows and even night tables, lamps and coffee tables. Really beautiful items at fantastic prices! In Seasonal, I bought some dark brown faux wicker folding chairs and tables for my balcony that I can easily store in my closet in the off season. I've had them 3 years and they still look brand new. While some people don't like the big box stores, for me they definitely serve a purpose. Because of the volume, you get a good value for the dollar. I shop at the small local stores to round things out, especially for specialty items. There are always people in RED shirts walking around so it's easy to get assistance if you need it. Lots of check out registers and workers that process your purchases quickly. And a customer service department to the right when you walk in if you need to pick up an online purchase or process a return. No need to pull out your credit card for returns, it automatically goes back to your card. Lots of parking out front. For those in Vancouver and Washington, this location is close and allow them to purchase tax-free! This Target has changed so much since I moved here 6 months ago. Now there has to be a constant police presence, and there's always someone yelling in the store. The store is in constant disarray, I rarely find the makeup products or cat food I need and no one can tell me why. I ordered a medium sized order for pick up because I'm just getting over a bad cold and after 10 hours I had heard nothing. Tried calling EVERY extension for two hours and no one picked up. Go to the store because I NEED those items TODAY which is why I ordered early this morning, and the store is dead. I'm told they're short staffed but again, the store is dead. One line with four people, and self checkout had like a line of three. Two people total being helped at customer service and no one waiting in line. I just do not understand why or how I've heard nothing and been able to get ahold of no one for a medium sized order of Kleenex, laundry detergent, lepton bismol, and thermometer, and a few grocery items. That's it folks. 10 hours, nothing. Ok. Well. I wish there were another target closer. I understand there are staffing issues but the store is not busy :( read more

This review is for the Drive Up Pick Up. I have to say that this was the easiest and fastest of all the pick ups that I have used. Seriously. I ordered online and thought that I was going to have to go in to get my order but I saw the Drive Up so parked. I asked a gentleman who was helping a guest and he let me know that he would be right out with the item. Yes, that easy. How it's supposed to work, and I learned later: You go on the Target App and it asks if you are ready to pick up. You press yes and then it asks car info and then they bring it out. I highly recommend using Targets Pick Up. read more

Worst Target ever!! Go to any of the ones in Vancouver or the Cascade Station one (if you want to avoid sales tax) over this one. I haven't been in this location in about a year and it is awful. The store is in complete disarray and unorganized. They also lock up a large majority of their personal care items so if you need toothpaste you have to press a call button for someone to open the case for you. The store has 2 armed guards and 2 managers standing at the front which I understand because I work in retail as well and we have security guards. The store gives a creepy vibe because it is completely void of customers and they have no music playing. I think I saw 3 other customers the entire trip in this huge store. Also I found it odd that they did not have one cashier open and only had self checkout available. Super depressing!! I'll be shopping at my normal Target by the mall in Vancouver from now on. read more

I helped my son move to Vancouver, WA. He needed some items from Target and wanted to go to the one in Portland, OR to avoid paying sales tax. Yep, Oregon has no sales tax. We found this Target to be humongous compared to the ones we shop at in Santa Rosa, CA. They had everything Target has to offer but the prices seemed higher than the Target in Santa Rosa, CA, especially the produce. I'm guessing they have to truck the produce from California as Oregon is not known for growing produce. They were known for growing massive amounts of pot though...lol. read more

I work on the island and my boss had sent me over to get us a few things during my break. Going in, everything was fine but than I realized targets undercover security was following me. I felt uncomfortable and decided to leave without even buying what we needed and my manager has talked to target about this multiple times and they basically say " fuck off ". I went to target yesterday for a 6 dollar calculator that I needed for school and I see the same undercover security following me againnn. And this time I did not let it make me feel uncomfortable, I confronted her. Claims to not be following me and said she was following someone else but where's the " someone else " if I'm the only one in the book aisle and than claiming you're watching someone in the baby section. And that you're otp with your friend JASMINE and that I'm " paranoid ". If you're so concerned about me stealing a 6 dollar calculator I kindly asked you to follow me to the checkout and see me pay lol. I should preface this by saying - I hate self-checkout. I hate trying to find the scan codes, I hate looking up how much produce costs, or if it's this type of apple or mandarin vs another. I am not a checkout clerk, and while buying things, I don't want to pretend to be one. I am not a checkout clerk. I appreciate checkout clerks, because they know the codes to check people out. I don't want to hear beeping or a voice telling me there are unidentified items in the checkout area, or that I need an attendant in order to proceed. I loathe self-checkout. So, easy solution - I don't use self checkout. Today I went into Target to get a new filing cabinet. I found one, plopped it in my cart, and went to check out. There was not one single register open. Fifteen registers at Target, not one single one was open. I asked the attendant at the self checkout stands - why are there no cash registers open. Her response - oh, we had a callout. A callout? I don't know what a callout is. Oh, she responds - one of our employees called out sick. Did I hear that right? One employee calls out sick, so they open zero cash registers. Zero. This is a multi-billion dollar company, that somehow cannot open any registers for a location because 1 (one) employee called out sick. I am not shopping at Target anymore. I feel sorry for the employees who have to tell customers this bullshit. So long, Target. read more

This is your typical go in grab what you need and get out grocery shop. There are plenty of space here in the parking lot so you don't have to worry about parking like the Target in downtown. It's a Target so it should have almost everything you need, but not always. I've been to this location on several occasions where some of the shelf on certain aisle were half empty. Not sure it's because this place doesn't have that many people visiting or is it just lack of attention from the store staff. The selections are quite limited when it comes to fresh produce and meat products. Other than that, you should be able to find your household necessity items here. The staffs are friendly so that's a plus for me. All in all, 3 out of 5. read more

Absolute garbage, I had to wait over 5 minutes for them to unlock SHAVING CREAM! If your going to lock up everything at least make sure you are EFFICIENT at unlocking items when customers want them! Giant Target with a parking lot to match, we saw a total of 3 people here the 30 minutes we shopped on a Thursday night and 1 was the lone cashier.
