I grew up going to this location with my mom now I go with my children. I have never in my 34 years have seen such bad customer service. I had gone in the other day needing help looking for an item when I walk up to one of the managers lucky I saw her badge & got her name (Paola) I went up to her asking her for assistance when she rudely cuts me off and tells me to give her a second that she'll be right with me, mind you that I waited nearly 8 minutes before I went to look for another associate when I turn I see that manager on her phone texting. Once again I approached her & she seemed annoyed when she realized I was the same customer she turns around & calls for another associate to help me. After Shopping around and trying clothes in the fitting room I see that manager talking rudely to one of her employees I couldn't hear much of the conversation but I did hear her call her employee lazy and that she needs to work faster. I don't understand how target is going to hire these managers who have no type of respect for their employees it seems to me that they're just hiring a bunch of children who take their tittle a bit to seriously. This is absolutely the worst Target I have ever been to. It is poorly managed, unorganized, always dirty (specially the shopping carts) and the lines are always long. Corporate needs to come in and clean house, starting with the district manager or whoever is responsible for this store. After asking the cashier who helped me Jose C who the GM was about 6 times (he tried to give me names of leads for a while) he finally mentioned Danny. So Danny, I suggest that you get out of your office and start spending some time on the floor coaching your associates and improving your customer's experience. Drive up experience was poor. Their response to their mistake irresponsible. I have to drive back and get the items Target failed to put together in my order. The refund will take 7-14 days. This is unacceptable. Some folk may not have 7-14 days to receive a refund over your careless mistake. I get to carry the blunt of your poor performing team. I will probably have them check every time they did not make another mistake if I ever use your service again. Hire competent accountable people who care to work for your team. I clearly had a much different experience than most other people but I went in to buy a vacuum and had a great experience. Everyone said good morning (that never happens in Seattle). I was asked several times if I needed help, a salesperson was more than eager to go find a vacuum that hadn't been opened and returned, and then he even went and got me a cart. The place was empty but another salesperson even opened up another aisle so I didn't have to wait at all. Great experience. read more

THANK YOU GABRIEL!!! You helped my mom out when you honestly didn't have to! She bought a Starbucks gift card a week ago for a coworker's birthday. That person told my mom she tried using the card but it didn't work. Luckily my mom had the receipt and when she spoke to Gabriel he went the extra mile and called the 800 number for her to figure out what happened. It was obviously fraudulent activity so they are sending her a new card. Gabriel could have explained that the gift card was activated and it was now out of his hands but he didn't. I had called about 4 times at right now at 8:15am on 12/2/2021, the first 2 times no one answered. The 3rd time whoever answered my call from customer service she was very rude and hung up on my calls twice in the middle of me talking after asking if the Nintendo switch was in stock. Ok so look gonna keep it 100!!! This store was ugly and stunk in 2012. I went and it was just like I said ugly and smelled like blahhhh blahhh blah.... It's 2020 and it's nice looks redone and doesn't smell bad at all.... I bought one thing and left. That's the good part! Now the same thing here as is with a lot of Targets. Long lines in the registers so I tried self checkout, 1 out of 4 self check machines was operative, and took so long. This Target ALWAYS have the youngest employees doing nothing but standing and talking to each other. They talk so much to each other, you will need to interrupt them from talking to each other just to ask a question, or get help. And then when they do they say ok be right there, only for them to forget, and you have to ask them again or find someone else or they have to find someone that knows what's up. And then I forgot about parking! They have a 10/1 ratio on handicap spots to non handicap spots. Too many they are usually empty and dirty everywhere in that parking lot. Lots of trash. Every time I walk down the cosmetics area first I saw a woman opening lipsticks trying them on and putting them back on the shelf she would also break the seal, men and women were opening the lotions and pouring them in their hand and just leaving them open. The clothes are a mess I saw women trying them on and taking the tags off the tee shirts and leaving them on. The shoe area Gross. The restroom here is so disgusting! Before you even walk through the door you can smell the urine! The doors are all messed up 3 out of all the stalls are full of toilet paper not flushed others are just full of feces. I've been to probably 50 different Targets and this Target has by far the worst customer service out of all of them. I came here the other day to return a TV that I bought a few weeks ago. I did my research before I came, as I didn't want to lug around a huge and heavy TV from my car to the store. My steps: I called Target to verify if the TV was returnable [x} I asked a Target rep on the phone if I was within the return period [x] I asked the same rep, if said TV can be returned without a box [x] I found and gathered all the Manuals that came with said TV [x] I found and printed my receipt [x] The Target rep on the phone assured me that the TV was returnable as long as I had the receipt and all the things that came with the TV. So with some help from my wife, I load that heavy TV into out car and drive to Target. After lugging the TV from the car to the Target returns section, I am greeted by the returns guy. He is super cool and asks if I had all the stuff I mentioned above, "I did", I proclaimed. He then asked, if the TV works? I also proclaimed, "nothing is wrong with it, we just got another TV". So he says it should be no problem, and asks the MOD (manager on duty) to come down to authorize it. Well, folks, this is where it turns bad. The MOD, doesn't even greet me nor even looks at my paperwork or the TV. She just walks by and say, "no box, I can't take back this return because I can't recycle it", then scurry's away to let the poor guy working the returns to take the blame. WHAT THE F DOES RECYCLING HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING? I then asked the returns guy, hey man it says nothing on the returns receipt about recycling and I CALL TARGET before hand to make sure! He said, the MOD makes the calls and he can't so anything. I was left in shock, I thought maybe at the worst they would charge me 15% restocking fee, because I had no box, and I would've been fine with that. Now, I am out $600 because of some terrible MOD couldn't make the time to talk to us. I've worked retail, so I am not going to blame the poor guy behind the counter. He apologizes and I told him, don't worry about it. My wife, bless her, can see I am pissed off. So while I am lugging the TV back to the car, she calls the Target in Baldwin Park and they assure her that WE CAN bring the TV in to return it. So we do exactly that. We drive to Baldwin Park and they take it, no problem. tldr; The Target in Pico Rivera is trash and the MOD should be fired. She could not give one flying flute about customers. read more

This is the worst Target to shop at. I had my Cadillac converter stolen in the night in their parking lot. I asked the manager and the customer service team to see the cameras for help during the robbery and they couldn't help. They refused to check the footage to help catch the robbers. This target claims to have security cameras and when something happens, they refuse to help their own customers. I was only in the target for 15 minutes and this robbery happened on their lot. Need to vent: DO NOT SHOP AT TARGET PICO RIVERA, CA. They expect us to follow their store policies yet they do not follow their own. Today I tried to make a return on a bottle of alcohol that I didn't want anymore. Unopened. They refused to return it when clearly in their store policy it states they do. I asked for a copy of their store policy so I could show them and they had no said copy. Not one. I asked to speak to the main store manager. After waiting over 10 min. A security guard came. He stood in front of me and just stared at me. I asked him where is the manager I didn't ask for you. He said he came because I was yelling. I never once raised my voice. Was I pissed off? YES. Was I speaking very stern? YES. But never did I yell. Mind you my 1 yr old was with me. What am I going to do while holding my baby where security is needed?! REALLY?! Haha. Bottom line they wouldn't help me and follow their own store policy. I wanted to shop but left because I couldn't believe all the drama and then having security Come stand by me! Lol. I then called corporate right away. They also proceeded to tell me they do accept alcohol returns as long as unopened 21 years old during alcohol sale hours and as long as the location sells alcohol. They then tried to call the pico store and of course no one answers their phone ever at this store haha. Another complaint in itself. By the end of the call she is mailing me a $10 gift card. After all this.... I went to Santa Fe springs, Ca Target and they took my return no problem. No questions asked. Wow. Crazy. This is not the first time I've complained about Pico Target. They never answer their phone. They always only have 2 lanes open in the evening with huge crazy lines throughout the store. It's dirty. They have piles of full trash cans not being emptied and their managers look depressed and never smile. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN. read more

I need something that nobody within the Montebello/Pico Rivera area has ever heard of- a book. It may be considered a strange invention. Words on pages of paper which tell a story. When calling to inquire about the availability of this "book" I was transferred to the electronics department. There I inquired if they had what I was looking for. I've been to this Target before, there are books around (mainly Mexican cookbooks, Jesus theories and Katdashian How-Tos) so I assumed my boring novel may be available as well. I was put on hold for over 23 minutes. The individual who possibly got lost scavenging for my item may have forgotten what "books" are and could have possibly gotten lost in the women's underwear department. This Target is the dirtiest Target I've ever been to. Messy aisles... Restrooms always look like they're in desperate need of service... Dirty shopping carts... And don't even get me started on the food court. The soda station is always a sticky mess. Trash and popcorn is littered all over the counters and floors...It's horrible. And at all hours too. You can get there right when they open and it already looks trashed. Parking is terrible and let's not forget Pico Rivera's high tax. Lame. read more

This is the worst Target ever. We went as tradition to buy some stuff. As we entered the line, one of us was already near the register. So I let our mom into the line because it took her longer to get to the front because she had knee surgery a few weeks ago. 2 employees charged after us saying, "There is no cutting in line. She must go to the end and make her way up." We told them that she was our mom and we were paying together. They still made her go to the end of the line after we told them that we were together. So we told our mom that she could wait at the front of the store while we made our way through the line to get to the front of the line. When we got to the register, we began looking for her. We found out that they kicked her out of the store.  So I found her and tried to take her to the register that we were waiting at. I was stopped by 5 employees saying that she had to go through the entire store to get to the register. I was extremely offended and explained that she was waiting at the front because of her knee surgery and they still did not care. This is extremely ridiculous and rude. The employees at this store are horrible and should all be fired. They have no customer service whatsoever.  After some extreme arguing they finally let her through to the register.  I will never shop here ever again.  Damian Colin who was the "Store Manager" was extremely rude as well. read more
