I love this location. I refer to it as "Urban Target". As others have said, don't expect to find all the things you'd find at a regular Target, but it has all the essentials. This morning I stopped by to grab a few things and found it is TEMPORARILY CLOSED. Went to 44th & Thomas instead and the cashier there told me there had been a fire at Urban Target. Customer service is the one thing you guys should be able to offer yet you lack on a major skill, I went to this location to get some snacks for movie night at my place. Saw some cinnamon rolls on sale for $1.89 so I grabbed them, went to self check out bc that seems to be the only option at this location, scanned my items and the cinnamon rolls rang up at the normal price of $3.99, got the attention of an employee, explained that they were ringing up incorrectly, instead of walking 20 feet to check for a sale sign, she goes to customer service, scans them and says, they're $3.99, you must have read the sign wrong. No I didn't, I can read. So after ringing my items I go back and take a photo proving my point. Basically I did the lady's job for her, you're welcome. Soooooo annoyed!!! read more

This target location was not helpful. After waiting in the drive up parking spot to pick up my online order I tried to reach the store by phone with a never end ping prompt. I tried to transfer to the music department then eventually being hung up on twice. I had to walk inside to find three girls chit chatting behind the online order counter. When I approached the counter they gave me sass about retrieving the barcode from my email. They then notified me that I could not get a printed out receipt. Very small selection for clothes, kids toys , cleaning supplies and pet stuff. I love target for there clothes and toys for kids but they don't have a big selection. But great for home decor and furniture. It's good for quick runs for groceries right by your house but still very small. read more

Brand new Target in a convenient (and busy) location. It's much smaller than other Targets, but it has all the necessary toiletries, clothing and market items. There is also a Starbucks at this location! So far, so good! There's a ton of security all throughout the store, which caught me off guard. Oh and there's lot of self check-out stations! I'm glad they opened one up closer to me! I'll definitely be coming here more often. read more

I was beyond excited when I found out that a Target was being put in right down the street from me. Then I was a little apprehensive when I found out it was the first of their "flexible format" stores to arrive in Arizona. Luckily my apprehension was unnecessary. While this store is definitely smaller than a typical Target it had everything I needed when I stopped in tonight to get some basics. I'm curious to see over time if there are things I can't get here that I'm used to finding at a regular Target. Walking through the aisles you do get the feel of things being a bit tighter than usual. If you want a full shopping experience you'll want to go to a regular Target. Prime examples are home decor and shoes. While this location has both the selection is limited. Think two rows of shoes instead of six. The produce selection is small but useful if you want a one stop place. I was surprised by how much they had as far as groceries go as they have pretty much everything. They only have a couple if regular checkout lanes and then a bunch of self checkouts which I'm a fan of. I suspect I'll be coming here more than I should! read more

Ordered online pickup over an hour and a half ago and staff was unable to tell me how long i need to wait. I've been at the store for 45 minutes. They refused to talk to me without a confirmation email. I had to track down the employee who did my order and she messed it up so I never got the email. almost a 2 hr ordeal. read more

Decided to check out the new Target today. It's a smaller format store so it's definitely condensed. It's interesting and I'm not sure it has that target feel to it. It's great if you only need a few things but if you're in the market for more, a regular target would be best. They have cosmetics, food, clothes, electronics, toys, and household goods, but in a smaller quantity and don't carry everything a normal target would. I prefer whole grain pasta and a normal target has regular and whole wheat, the small format store only has regular. The store has 8 self checkouts, 2 regular checkouts, and an online order pickup desk too. Oh and it also has a Starbucks inside. Overall it's a nice store but it felt crowded and cramped as the aisles are smaller as is the store itself. It's good if you need to grab something quick. read more

Worst experience ever at target!!!!!! I returned a shirt that had some snags in it and had total remorse when I realized it was out of stock! Apparently it was the last one in existence.... I went back to costumer service, where I literally returned it 10 minutes before. The really nice women helping me told me she couldn't sell it back to me because it was now defected. I asked to speak with a manager, thinking that there is surely something they could do to help me! That's when things went wrong. I'm not going to go on and on about how horrible, how stuck up, how rude, and how belittling the "manager," Jose was... All I have to say is that I've never had a person in customer service talk to me in the tone that he did, or make me feel the way that he did. I am extremely let down by Target for hiring a person that would treat customers this way. I'm even more sad that now I feel uncomfortable to go back to my target. I think people should know before they come here that it is a VERY small location. Don't expect to find the extensive selection you would at a Super Target or even a normal Target like the one in Paradise Valley. That being said, they have a little bit of everything- groceries, fruit and veg, household items like toilet paper and laundry detergent, and some clothes, books and other basic items. Again, the size of this store is its primary limitation, but it is pretty close to a Frys grocery store in the event that you need something more specific that isn't carried here. That being said, the people who work here are always friendly and the lines are pretty manageable, there is a self checkout. read more

I love Target, and the look of this store is great, but their stock is non existent. The couple times I have tried to shop here there are empty shelves across the store, even for basics. I get that they are offering online ordering now, but if they don't want people to come into the store to shop, just switch to mobile only. I like to wander around the store if I am not I a hurry, but not when so many of the shelves have tons of empty space. If you want a good selection, or even a single option, for basics this is not the place to go read more

I like this target for quick errands, they have the essentials but why is everything a $1 or $2 more than the target at 44th and Thomas? Also, I'd like to share my interesting experience from a couple days ago. I went to drop off a return, I was standing at the counter, no one was in line so I was just waiting for the employee to help me. He saw me, but stopped to pull his mask down and rub his nose (he was sniffly) and was complaining out loud about his nose. His coworker was like "hey man you have a customer". I was kind of in shock, we are in a worldwide pandemic and you are sitting here doing the exact opposite of covid safety in front of a customer you are about to help who happens to be pregnant. Yep, I am 8 1/2 months pregnant and if you are familiar, covid safety is more important than ever. I said "you going to sanitize after doing that?" And he said "ya I'll go wash my hands" but then stayed to ask me my name again and to try and find my order, he couldn't find me (clearly because I had already mentioned I was there for a return not a pick up), then he just stopped and said "ya I still can't find you, okay I'm going to go wash my hands", and left the counter. Thank goodness a super sweet girl walked up and helped me and took care of my return, safely might I add. read more

This target sucks . The store is super small but that's not even the major issues. They have 12 Staff members walking around aimlessly no one is able to help you and there's self checkout is always down and only 1 register opened with 7+Customers in line and not one staff member can jump on the resister to help out u less asked by a customer . I really have grown to hate this 1 specific target .Something in the store is always broken or they are out of product . Unlike most ghastly shopping experiences, this one keeps on giving long after leaving the store. On December 14, I ordered online for parking lot pickup at the 16th St and Camelback store. When I arrived, apparently I parked on the wrong side of the sign. (Both front and back of the sign indicated that this was the site for picking up online orders.) When Jasmin brought out the order, she apparently didn't notice the only Toyota van within three aisles and, instead of calling the number provided, she returned to the store and cancelled the order. Fortunately, the items were still at the returns desk 30 minutes later when I finally gave up waiting and went in to look for them. And now? I see that both the original charge and the new charge (when I had to pay for them in person) are still on my credit card. The call center rep saw that the order had been cancelled and cheerfully informed my that I had received the refund via Target gift card--because apparently the thing customers want when an order gets screwed up is to spend more money. In any event, it is now January 13 and the alleged gift card has not arrived. They promise to refund via the original form of payment (duh) but will not specify when that might occur. Needless to say, this experience has not motivated me to become a committed Target shopper--far from it. I can get indifferent and self-serving "service" in lots of places, many of them closer to home. read more

This target has a modern design, very stylish. But I was disappointed to notice they don't have nearly as much as all the other Targets I frequent. Otherwise, it's clean and nice but hard to find someone for assistance when you want to try something on or ask questions. read more

Some older lady asked if I wanted a target credit card which I declined, then she started unloading my stuff out of my cart as well as touching my purse when I was in self check out. I'm more then capable of checking myself out that's why I do self check out and for her to touch and hold my purse is ridiculous. I was very annoyed actually. The WORST target I've ever been to. Placed a drive up order. Arrived and followed all the prompts in the app no joke waited 40 minutes for my order. I would have left if it had not been for an item I needed that was not at any other location and could not be shipped. Not one staff member had the courtesy to come out to my vehicle to communicate what was going on. I can't forget to mention it's 116 degrees outside. I tried to call the store and was not able to get through to speak to someone. Unacceptable Target! This is a nice shiny brand new Target. But it's small, and the employees are lacking training. For some reason they only have a total of 4 dressing rooms for the store and and two of them said "Out of Order." I couldn't find the large accessory and sunglass section that's in most Targets so I left sunglass-less. Their homegoods section was tiny and I didn't even see a kitchen accessory area. The employees are the main reason for my review. They all seem to be lacking in maturity and friendliness. While I was shopping in the clothing section I had to listen to three employees near me conversing loudly and even gossip about other employees. None of them ever acknowledged me or asked if they could help. I also learned that my husband had the exact same experience while he was in the electronics section, and he actually needed help finding what he was looking for. Later I asked an employee in the homegoods section if they had any duvet covers and he said "what's that?" And I tried to explain it to him and he said, "well did you look around? Sorry I don't know what that is." You would think that brand new Targets would be bigger and better than old ones. read more

TERRIBLE Customer service at the return counter , absolutely terrible !!!!! Was returning some items and the lady started helping two other people right in the middle of the return she was doing for me , she made me stand there and wait after she' was already helping me and she was so extremely rude too ,. she was an older lady with blond hair and the people target hires these days have no kindness or welcoming friendliness about them and I will never go to this target again !! This target is in a convenient location but it's really small and the aisles are super narrow! I had to leave my cart at the end or beginning of each aisle since 2 carts wouldn't fit at the same time. Also, I feel like everything is more overpriced then a super target read more

We want to thank Brianna for all her help. She is truly an excepltional employee. We recently changed cell phone carriers and ran into difficulty with our old carrier. She spent time and effort to get it straightened out and even used her own phone to keep the new carrier on the line while I was on the company phone with the old carrier. Staff is normally extremely friendly & engaging. However, be aware of scanning at check out. Items historically scan higher than prices noted on shelf. Today, was yet another example, and the customer service desk person; without forming a sentence, processed my refund and handed me my change.
