It's business as usual with this particular Target, but today, they reached a low that I didn't think existed. Today, when I got in line, there was a woman with 1 item in front of me. 1 item. In front of her, at the register, getting ready to check-out, was a woman with a cart packed with her items. The clerk acted as though he was going for 1st place for the slowest clerk award. There came a point in her check-out where I assume the cashier was instructed to stop so that the woman could pay for half of the cart, because he stopoed. When the clerk gave her the total, that was when she decided to take out her checkbook. So I decided to ask the clerk, very politely, to ask for another clerk for help. His answer was, "uh, well, ya I guess." But he apparently didn't understand his own answer because, uh, well, he didn't call for help. The woman, with half a cart paid for, decided that it was a good time to move her cart so the employees at the return section, could watch her cart. Then she decided that it was an even better time to look for another cart for the 2nd half of her items. Again, Mr. Checkout Clerk decided to outperform his first effortless effort by going even slower than the first time. This is a no brainer. I'm referring to customer service. Sure, go to this Target, support local merchants. But don't waste your time thinking that customer service at this Target is a thing. Cashiers are stuck up and rude when you ask for help looking for items you need. Treats people that uses Sunday coupons like thieves and managers are making up their own policies. Will not be giving them any business or will not recommend friends and family to come to this store. Poor customer service would rather shop online. read more

This store is becoming a walmart, in the bad way! Lazy employees chit chatting at the changing booth desk while 85 pairs of wranglers are all misplaced, and even just thrown on top of the rack! Not just this one visit either, this store is consistently messy! Why does 47th street store have no problem keeping everything in it's proper place and even have employees ask to see if you need help, but 10th St. store acts like you are in the way? This may sound strange but true, if you live in the Antelope Valley Area and you need something more high end or you at least want to explore your options you have to go to the Lancaster Target, for some reason on several items Vacuums, Car Seats, Strollers, Electronics, Carpet Cleaners in my vast experience Palmdale only goes up to a certain price but Lancaster will have the same plus the more expensive ones...for example if the Palmdale store carries 3 different products 1 @ $100, 1 @ $200, and 1 @ $300 Lancaster will have 5 different ones the first 3 and then the $400 and $500 versions too its weird the Palmdale store is in a nicer area too it doesn't make sense. read more

The Super Target on 47th Street has a better selection and much better customer service. I came to this store today and like most people decided to get my family and I some popcorn after eating some I noticed it tasted kind of funny I look into the bag and a bunch of the pieces have mold on them I had already left by then but decided to go back and let them know so it wouldn't happen to anyone else I inform the manager who insisted on getting me a new bag I said no I don't want anymore that's nasty!(mind you I'm 8 months pregnant) she walks up to the man behind the food counter and says she wants her money back he says was there a hair in there!? First I love Target and have been coming to this store since it opened. I have always had great customer service there. I can usually find an associate to help me. If not I just pick up of the phone in that dept and they come pretty quickly. So why 4 stars then? Lately they haven't been keeping shelves stocked very well. I have been to the pet dept looking for dog treats 4 times in the last 2 weeks. Instead of shelves getting restocked there is less product every time I go in. Can't imagine why since it's not just 1 brand it's every brand they carry. Now the pharmacy. We have been using target pharmacy since it opened at this location. It always had they Best service! Awesome employees and pharmacists that seemed to remember everything and everyone. All the staff would go beyond job requirements to help however they could. Now that it has been sold to cvs a few months ago I am so beyond frustrated that I'm looking for a new pharmacy! The staff is the same and awesome as always. I have only encountered 2 pharmacists that are even close to being in the same category as the target ones were. It takes forever to get anything done because the computer system is nightmarish at best. My auto fill scripts have been dropped and not getting filled. Scripts I have been off for months or years is being auto refilled and the last straw was a medicine my son needs that should have been auto refilled, n I told them he was completely out on a Monday they said they were out and had to order it. 3 days later I go in to find out where it is and find out they had 5 pills this whole time my son was out of it. So I picked up the 5 pills while they were waiting for the order to come in. He is now out of the pills again and it's been over a week since I first tried to fill it and still no medicine. read more

This particular Target is the better of the two that are near me now. I don't understand many of the previous reviews. This is a really nice Target! Maybe they have new management? Everything organized and clean, excellent customer service, friendly. I almost didn't stop here because of previous reviews. I needed to furnish a room quickly and this store had a great selection; bedding, drapes, side tables and some pretty lamps. I had a lot of bulky items and was helped to my car. Conveniently located next to Baskin Robbins as well. It does everything you need a Target to do. Thanks, Target! read more

This is a horrible place. Management is terrible. They make their employees ask every customer to sign up for their stupid redcards. They shove them down their throats and if they dont get people to sign up for their redcards they fire their employees.i believe they have access to your bank account if you get their debt card cause their was an employee who got a coaching for over drafting her checking account which means they have access to your account. There is ample handicapped parking in the lot. However, when entering the store the electric mobile basket cart is about 100 ft. from the entryway and is frequently not even plugged and powerless. That is a long walk for someone for whom walking causes pain. It was formerly closer, but was moved to make way for new construction of self service checkout stands. Repositioning the handicapped vehicles was obviously an after thought. There is an alcove near the restroom & entryway that would be much more suitable for parking the carts. The way it stands now, this store is "not handicapped friendly". And as a big "ALSO", there is only one mobile cart for the whole store! This also serves to embrace my point. Called around 7:00 to see Barbie playhouse was available I asked if they can promise the price match over the phone they said yes I went to guest services to pick up my item Keidy was the cashier told me the full amount and I ask her if she can price match the item right away with a rude set of tone said "no we do not honor it due to cyber Monday plus it says it's online so no " I also commented to her telling her I always price match with the online items always were given to me but over the phone before I showed up to the store the main manager told me I was able to . She had to text the person higher had me wait 30 mins I asked if I can speak to a manager she commented "I am the manager "in a rude set of tone then I asked if I can speak to someone higher then her she said no ,then she gave a call to see if can do the price match .And It was still given to me .left the store around 7:44pm .I see no point of arguing with a guest I always go to target and I work for target she couldn't apply my target card as well that was on my phone which every time I pay I use my card . she said I cant because needs to be for only the location I worked at and need to have a Visual card on hand . Pharmacy understaffed. I arrived at Target Pharmacy (on a weekday) over an hour before the Pharmacy closes. I was told that they couldn't refill my prescription because they closed in oven an hour. I spoke with the store manager and she said that they didn't have enough time to fill a prescription for a generic antibiotic. I told her (Lisa) that it sounded like she had a staffing problem. She said that she didn't have a staffing problem there just weren't enough Pharmacists to fill all the prescriptions. I told her that IS a staffing problem. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I'm not sure why Target spends so much money marketing their Pharmacy when they can't handle the business they already have. Went to CVS--got prescription filled in 10 minutes for same price. Unless you have nothing but time, skip Target pharmacy. read more

The management is not properly training the employees. Today the most disgusting thing happened and I couldn't believe no one ran over to help or clean up after a customers baby puked all over her and the floor while in line at the checkout. I called to complain to the management at the store and she tried to blame her employees. She is incompetent and only offered an insincere apology. This Target is horrible! Customer service is lacking, big time. They'd rather gossip with each other than help a customer. CHECK expiration dates on food, they're not rotating stock and I've had to return several times after not having checked the dates. They never have stock, especially on things they're running promo/sales on. I'd much rather shop in AV than in Bakersfield, but when it comes to Target the Bakersfield mall Target is 100% more helpful and friendly! read more
