I headed into the dishes section because I am looking for a good-sized bowl for soups and salads. They had plenty of options, just not within my budget. I want something that is good for everyday use, microwave and dish washer safe. I checked the clearance section and found a set of four bowl for $7 - what a steal. I grabbed them before someone else could. Store is on the smaller side, but it's fully stocked, neat, and prices are not hard on the pocket. A solid stop if you're looking for deals. The service was great!! There are so many things to look at and go through. I would like to have more time to browse.

I was in the store with my sister today when we came across two dog strollers in the pet section. They both had a price tag of $11.99 and we both thought it's was great since we each have a dog. As I was about to pay I hear an associate tell my sister that the price on the stroller was wrong and that it was actually $70. I then intervened and asked why she couldn't honor it because they were both priced the same. She said that those strollers were expensive in other places, what does that matter when we come to homegoods for better prices to begin with. The associate was very rude and mean, she claimed she could only honor the price for one of us but not both of us because that is the "law". She was really acting like the price of the stroller was coming out of her paycheck. I left the store because I was so upset. I then came back to ask if I can get the number for the district manager but she had already made another associate remove the tag to put the higher price. She didn't provide me with the district manger's phone number just the corporate but I've truly never seen such rude customer service. If the items were priced wrong, that's not the customer's fault and the store should be willing to honor the price for the mistake that they made. read more

I went inside looking for kitchen items and boy was I amazed at all the beautiful items from around the world. You can find anything you want to make your home beautiful with art decor from beautiful dishes to one of a kind coffee mugs . They have a whole dept for pet toys beds water bowls for cats and dogs . I love it ! I shop there at least once a week I don't spend a lot but I'm happy buying that one single item that makes my day and home much beautiful inside . I wanted to take the time to write a review on the excellent customer service I experienced yesterday. Christian, the Store Manager, was definitely the reason I had such a great shopping experience. I walked and was greeted with a smile and enthusiasm by him. What really stood out to me was his care with the customers. I've been shopping at this location for over a year. It's always a good experience, but yesterday was the best experience I've had shopping at the store. If you've ever shopped at Nordstrom, the Customer Service Team greets you and provide excellent service, from the moment you walk in the door until you leave. This is the excellent customer service I received yesterday from Christian. This young man is a star. I also watched him interact with the team he was managing. I picked up a framed painting. I didn't think much about it. It was nice and simple, matched my color scheme. When I went to pay the cashier said the wrong ticked was on it. I didn't change it so I asked to talk to Manager. Forget it this guy is clueless. They could have look on their cameras. I went in today to take some black flatware back as the black matte was coming off the forks etc. I didn't have the receipt because one, I never keep them because I never expected a problem, and two, it wasn't a very expensive item and I thought they would back their product. Spoke with a Joshua who said he was the store manager. He said since the item was used they couldn't replace it! Well yes it is used, it is utensils for eating and I had no idea they were such a low quality product and the black matte color would come off!after the first washing. I then called customer service who equally treated me like a hardened criminal and said they couldn't do anything and could "investigate" for me. Well I was at the store and needed the replacement then so what good does investigating do? Not only that, I do not live in Palmdale so I wasted gas going there! I then called the Home Goods credit card department, (TJX), then told them my problem and they treated me the same way, as if I never mattered and was a bother. I told them I wanted to cancel my card. The girl on the phone at TJX did cancel my card, not once asking a valued customer as to why I wanted to cancel? I could see if I was bringing in furniture or something months later with no receipt but this was only two weeks later and it was obviously faulty product as you will see by the pictures. Goes to show how much they care for their customers; they don't!!! I loved shopping there but decided if they are not going to back something they sold me, that was a waste of my money, I will take my business elsewhere. Terrible customer service and I spent thousands there and WILL NOT do so ever again. I would love to hear your comments on how you feel by the looks of this black matte silverware (pardon the pun of "silverware"), why Home Goods feels they shouldn't have replaced it? Love homegoods but you have to go during the night . Afternoons are horrible. It's so crowded and the aisle are narrow. Can't shop peacefully without having to move to the side and let other people through. . Feels like I'm in an upscale swat meet or like I'm shopping in chinatown LA. Believe me it gets crowded in the afternoons. Make sure you practice your "excuse me and it's okay don't worry" you'll be saying that a lot! Like I said, it's definitely worth shopping here just not during afternoons. read more

Love this store. While it's not as big as other HomeGoods in the area, I always find what I need (and sometimes want) here. I've started re-decorating and have been inspired by Rae Dunn, which I have found quite a bit of here. If they don't have what I'm looking for, then I go across the street to TJMaxx (its sister company). Customer service is always great here so even when I'm not going to buy anything, I'll stop in to look around. Every week there's something new. Just recently discovered this store. It has a good selection of household items at reasonable prices, particularly, I needed open stock pans and was able to find them at competitive prices. I have also found other treasures not necessarily price competitive, but impulse buys that suited me. One week ago, I also found a Breville Smart Oven. There were two available at this store, and like other reviews, their pricing is inconsistent and disingenuous. The two ovens were exactly the same. I even asked a sales clerk and she and another clerk both verified the items were the same and the prices should've matched. (By the way, neither clerk retagged the items so the prices would match.) This oven is large and after making room for it on my kitchen counter, I proceeded to follow the EXACT instructions BEFORE the first use of the appliance. (Yes, I AM one of those people.) I began to use it as a toaster and found it does not toast evenly. I also baked a small cake, and it burned on one side. I repacked the oven in its original box and plastic in an attempt to return it. I was met with a gentleman at the front door that told me this item could not be returned as it's been USED. He instructed me to contact Breville customer service. After 2 days, reaching Breville has proven to be an impossible task. As I mentioned above, I read the package directions, and yes, the manual does instruct one to contact Breville first and not attempt to return the appliance to the store for (one year) warranty repairs. However, I as I'm no longer interested in this product and hassle its repair, I prefer to simply return it. I cleaned it of any crumbs and repackaged it exactly as purchased. On Page 3 the Warranty manual states; "California residents have the option of returning the Product (a) to the retailer from which it was originally purchased or (b) to another retailer that sells the same... A retail store to which a California resident returns a Product for Warranty service may refer the consumer to a Breville Authorized Servicer, replace the Product, or refund the purchase price, less the amount directly attributable to the consumer's usage of the Product"; in this case less than 3 or 4 times. Home Goods is not honoring its legally binding California Residents' warranty. read more

I purchased a floor lamp paying for it with my American Express card. After I had arrived home, I found that the lamp didn't have the grooves to screw in a lightbulb. I took it back to the store, but was able to exchange it because I didn't have the receipt. I did present the lamp tag which showed the item number and department. The man, wearing a decal that read he was the store manager or assistant, said there wasn't anything they could do. I replied, "Oh, but there is. You can sick it up your ass." I left the lamp and departed. I paid approximately $93.00 for a defective floor lamp. What is odious is that I was referred to the store by Ashley as they didn't have it in stock. I am out of a lamp and my money. Under no circumstance will I ever shop at this store ever again. I wouldn't give a damn if the store had a give-away, I wouldn't waste my time. Man I love this place. I didn't even know what a HomeGoods was. It's almost like a really nice TJ Maxx or Ross. They have such a good selection home decor tables lamps shelves and wall art. I could be wrong but I don't think this price is a discount styles store like TJ Maxx. Today at ~4:45 pm the Palmdale HomeGoods has left a bitter taste in my mouth with how they treated my wife. My wife came back to our car and broke down into tears after she was confronted by 2 managers who shamed her, forced her to clean the floor, and made her feel like no customer should ever feel. We were previously told multiple times that HomeGoods was a pet-friendly store. My wife and daughter took the dogs in to look at the pet area while waiting for me and one of our dogs had an accident. My wife got some paper towels from the restroom and tried drying up the floor as best as she could. When she was done she told a worker about the mess so it could be cleaned up better with the store cleaning supplies. As she left she was stopped by 2 of the store managers who proceeded to blame her for the situation and wouldn't let her leave until the floor was cleaned more. My wife has health issues that are triggered by stress and anxiety like this situation has caused, she was able to hold it together until she made it into the car and I am confident this will impact her for a while. Sadly this is not the only incidence I have dealt with from this location, but it is now the worst hence why I am writing this review. read more

I came to return something I bought in the Santa Clarita location not even a week ago and the manager and cashier were so rude worse customer service ever! There was a part of the toy treasure the was broken from inside which I didn't notice when I bought it and they were trying to blame me for it and treated me like I was stupid the cashier made a comment saying oh how do you not notice this is broken? And I said because it's not noticeable and the manager said we don't sell broken stuff so I told him if you guys didn't then how did they sell this to me in Santa Clarita ?
