I do NOT recommend this place. I purchased glasses for my daughter the first week of September. After 2 weeks of waiting and no updates I called the store. The team leader said it would be sent out via UPS and delivered in 3 days. Another week after that, I came to the store to find someone who didn't know how to look up orders and had to call him on the phone. She then found the package sitting on the counter and said "UPS hasn't picked up" and I felt insulted because there is no way UPS hasn't picked up in over a week inside a Target. Further, I wasn't informed of any delays. These are $400 glasses and service this poor is unacceptable. Now I have to ship it myself. Unreal. read more

Target Optical - I have to ship it myself. SMFH - Optometrists Near Me - San Jose, California

Thank you Target Optical on Colman my son now religiously wears his glasses. He used to throw them but the guy at Target talked him up and said he was so handsome. The girl asked him to pinky promise not to throw them. These Raybans are the longest lasting glasses he has ever had. My son is Autistic and has a hard time wearing anything so this was a huge accomplishment to not just wear them but to also get him to sit still to fit him with them. We have bought glasses at kaiser, Costco and Walmart, hands down Target had the best deal and had 5 star service!!! Thank you read more

everyone is awesome and very accommodating especially Steven ! thank you for all your customer service you and dr Nguyen

I don't recommend going here anymore. I'm still trying to receive the lenses I bought in September 2021. I've now had 3 separate cases where my ordered lenses jutted out past the front of the frame, so if it fell on the ground the first thing to get scratched would be the lens. I only got one text to pick up my lenses on April 7 between now and September. I had called for a status a couple of times before the text, but it took so long that they had to re-order my lenses. After mentioning the issue with the lenses sticking out, the Target Optical guy on the phone tried to convince me that was how the lenses were supposed to be. The current and previous lenses I had on my frames proved that to be 100% untrue. April 10 I went in expecting the same lens failure because the guy I had talked to about my lens order wasn't going to do anything. I was surprised! Only one lens jutted out when installed, the other wasn't even cut to fit and was cartoonishly larger than the frame hole. They offered to give me a new frame after this, but the amount of effort spent working to get my new, now 6 month old lenses was frustrating. Whether the new lenses will stick out the front of the new frames is still up in the air. read more

Dr David is thorough and he knows the best prescription for you. He had the latest and greatest equipment to run the tests

This establishment is so amazing. I went here recently looking for a case for my Ray Ban sunglasses because I'd lost mine. They actually gave me a Ray Ban sunglasses case that fit my sunglasses perfectly for free (presumably one reserved for another pair that they had in stock to sell) and I didn't even buy my Ran Ban sunglasses at this store. I was completely floored by the kindness demonstrated towards me by the associates in this store and I will definitely be coming back here for my eyeglass and sun wear needs. Thank you again for the astonishing customer service. This store adds to my overall shopping experience at Target ad well being as they are located in Target and now (thanks to my recent pleasurable experience at Optical) I enjoy shopping at Target that much more! read more

Five stars for the service provided by Dr. Nguyen. He was extremely helpful, professional, and patient when working with my mother-in-law (MIL). Dr. Nguyen was able to diagnose and refer her to a specialist for an urgent issue that we were thankfully, able to address quickly on his advice. My MIL said he was one of the best optometrists she's had. Thank you so much for the prompt and courteous care. read more

Dr Nguyen at Target Optical is hands down the best optometrist I've seen. I made my appointment ahead of time, and didn't need to wait upon arrival. The exam was quick with fancy newer equipment that worked much faster than what I was used to. Previous eye exams have been upwards of 45 min, I was out in 20 min which was a very pleasant surprise - I could have such an efficient exam without sacrificing attention to detail. He's funny, polite, knowledgeable, professional; we had a great conversation and he answered all my questions. He was also able to adjust the sunglasses I had with me to help them not fall off my face. 11/10 highly recommend! :D read more

Hands down, always a great experience here. I happened to pop in on what was heir opening day. Steven was amazing and so friendly and helpful. I'm normally pretty shy when it comes to shopping for things, but he made the process so easy and had great advice and suggestions. He also helped me pick out frames and was very knowledgeable about all of the products. I never felt like I was a hassle to him, and he made the overall experience so pleasant. Also, he helped me find the best prices for my budget which also made me feel comfortable. Dr. Nguyen is very friendly and helpful as well. He throughly explained how my eyes were functioning and ways to help. He also emailed information that was helpful. Great store, great experience. read more

I went today for prescription sunglasses with my husband. Both Steven & Richie were extremely helpful. We both finalized our sunglasses within 20-30 minutes. They helped us quickly in recommending the style suiting on our face & billing too. I never ever done so quickly ever. More than that they both are extremely helpful & good human being. Next time also I am coming here only. Thanks a lot to both of you! read more

Richie and Steven are amazing. I had the best experience. They had to put in some extra work for me. They always did it with a humble, kind, attitude. Since I have been coming here in 2020, Steven has been kind, welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful in every way. He has fixed my frames multiple times, helped me use my warranty when the frames just couldn't be saved, and truly cared about making sure I walked away happy. I will be coming here for years to come. Businesses forget sometimes that it's not product, it's people. Dear tarjeh: hang on to this man. read more

Dr. Nguyen at Target Optical is a fantastic optometrist who genuinely cares for his patients. I came in with a minor concern and he was very welcoming and helpful as he answered my questions and addressed my concerns. He also offered me an eye exam and clearly explained the process and results. At the end of the appointment, he provided me with complimentary eye drop samplers to take home and ensured that all my needs were sufficiently addressed. I'd highly recommend him if you're in need of an eye check-up or are looking for an optometrist! read more

This target NEVER has what you need. The shelves are bare and empty. It's a guarantee you can't check all the boxes in your shopping list here. Today was calamine lotion, iceberg lettuce and sausages (just a couple things missing TODAY - each visit it's something else). Definitely have a BIG stock problem here...one example read more

Super quick, easy, and free repair at Target Optical! Thanks, Richie! So appreciate you replacing the screw for my glasses so fast!

I had an excellent experience having an eye exam and getting glasses and contacts at this new Target optical location. The staff members and optometrist were friendly and helpful. They have a nice selection of glasses including name brands such as DKNY, Ray Ban. I feel that the prices are reasonable, and they offer promotions often as well. They are able to look you up to see if they accept the insurance you carry. They did a price match for my contact lenses to another store that is known for offering low pricing, which is awesome because to be honest I did consider that other store to get contacts, and now I can just go to Target. They allow you to use your Red Card for an extra discount on the actual products you'repurchasing, but not on the exam fees. read more

Dr. Nguyen was super friendly and informative. He went over all the questions I had carefully. I will come back here for routine eye exam. Definitely recommend read more

I have never had such a good experience at the eye doctor before. All the staff (all three of them) were the most helpful people. Doctor was very upfront about what exams he was doing and how much they costed. He even helped me out with getting contacts for the first time! The staff at the front desk were just as awesome. Steven helped me out SO MUCH in terms of pricing and adding promotions to make the prices cheaper. He was really patient in explaining things and even shared a few jokes. They also take a lot of walk ins during the day and do their best to really accommodate to each customer that comes by. Would 100% recommend. read more

I had a great experience here! Came in yesterday and had a last min apt. Just came for a routine exam and wanted to look at new frames. The Dr, David, was very friendly and talked me through everything he was doing. I didn't feel rushed and he was very informative. After our exam, Steven helped me pick out my frames. He is so sweet and fun! Even though it seemed super busy, he never looked stressed and was always smiling. With the great staff and great deals Target had going on, this made me love my experience even more! read more

I walked into target Optical short notice and it was one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. They were nothing less than completely informative and made the process easy going, to the point, and incredibly comfortable. Since, I have completely switched doctors and now Dr. Fong is my go to! She's always incredibly laid back and never fails to inform me about me best suited options for the benefit of my help. Anyone who comes into this shop should know they are in the hands of an honest and confident team of doctors and sales associates. read more

I know they have just opened, but I had a very bad experience. While I was shopping in Target last week, I asked them if they took VSP. The staff told me yes. So, I made an appointment for this morning. After I spent about 20 minutes in the store this morning, I found out they were not in the VSP network. It made no sense for me to use their services as it would cost me significantly more. I learned my lesson and will now ask whether a provider is "in-network," but I expect more from Target. I spend $100's there every month and they could have saved me precious time on a Saturday morning with a proper answer: "yes we take VSP but we are not in their network'. It is Target after all and not Joe's Corner Optometry! read more

Booked my appointment online, got there early and the previous patient also finished early so they attended to me like 15mins earlier, which was great. Doctor Nguyen took his time explaining the whole eye check up, various eye exams and how insurance worked, as I'm not that familiar with how the system works--having just moved here. Adjusted my prescription and ordered a year's worth of contact lenses, hassle free and will be delivered to my house in 5-7 business days. They also made sure I got the best price using two of my insurances, a discount coupon they had and an insurance survey I can mail in that's worth up to 40 dollars. Also, both the receptionists who worked there were very helpful and friendly. Dr. Nguyen, as far as I can tell is a really good optometrist. I'd definitely go back there again. All in all, great quality and service. Plus, after you're done you can shop at Target! read more
