I love to be able to go to a place of business & come home & write a great review. For me to be able to give a place of business a 5 star review it goes beyond the atmosphere of the locations, beyond what the food taste like, & beyond prices. A big portion of it goes by how well you treat me "Your Customer Service."
I want to be able to walk into a facility & be treated like they are happy to see me. You see I am a very friendly/bubbly person, I treat others the way I want to be treated. As you can tell from my review of "All Family Dental" my dentist office is amazing. Let me put it to you this way if any of the staff members or my dentist have had a bad day I would of never known because their behavior towards me has never changed. So this brings me to fill you in on my experience with Target Optical.
I believe I started going to Target Optical about 3 or 4 years ago & continued to go up until now and this is why, they changed their optometrist. My first view of this Optometrist was that she was nice & friendly.
However I had to return because my glasses were not the correct prescription. The second time I was there she was still nice, although Cathy one of the associates there is not my favorite person to deal with. You know those type of people who try to be funny by saying something sorta insulting, you know sorta like throwing pebbles? Well that's the vibe I got from her.
After receiving my second glasses & wearing them for about a week not only did I have massive headaches everyday, but I wasn't able to see a clear picture at the movie theater. So here we are on my 5th time coming around to Target Optical (2 times to pick up glasses & 3 appointments). The optometrist was short & quite rude. I don't know if it was her having a bad day (& if that's the case she has patients that she needs to great & deal with so therefore, she should be grateful we bring her money). Now if it was a factor of me being there for the 5th time perhaps she should take into consideration that #1. She is out of my way, meaning I live on the East side of the valley, while I work on the West side & she is on the North side. #2. I am wasting my gas & my time. #3. I was in no shape or form rude to her instead I tried to joke with her & giggle around. #4. SHOULDN'T I HAVE BEEN THE TICKED OFF ONE? To make matters worse she tried to tell me that its the same exact prescription I use to have. Uh, if that's the case the case then why do I have to keep coming back? And how can you also tell me its only been tweaked a little. Make up your mind is it the same or has it changed?
Now let me move on to Cathy. My daughter canceled not show up for an appointment about 3 or 4 times. When I tried to schedule her another appointment (for the same reason as mine prescription is not the right one) Cathy did tell me that she would have to walk in & see if the optometrist can see her, I said OK thank you now let me reschedule myself, she still keeps talking about my daughter so of course that made me short towards her. So I told Cathy OK we will be there Friday for the appointment she scheduled me & I will bring my daughter so that the Optometrist can see her.
We get there Friday (my 4th time going back for myself in which at this time the Optometrist was a lot nicer) I advised Cathy I was there for my appointment & also to see if my daughter could be seen. I was seen but was advised that my daughter could not be seen because she was fully booked for the day (did I mention that I was the only one there?). Cathy then tells me that the next available time is Tuesday that my daughter needs to arrive there between 2 & 2:30 & wait until she can be seen. I can understand having a policy of not scheduling another appointment but I don't comprehend the come in but I cant see you stuff.
As stated before I give 5 star reviews based on the way you treat me. I have great vision coverage, I am courteous & respectful towards you, but the difference is I can take my money else where, in other words I don't need you as much as you need me or as much as you need my money. I REFUSE to give someone my hard earned money & receive this type of service. There are many other places I can take my business too as well as my word of mouth (referral to family, friends, yelp reviewers, etc.).
If Target Optical in Corbin wants my business back I suggest they give these employees a Customer Service for Dummies course or get new staff. Until then I will continue to shop at Target & take my vision benefits else where. read more
