Do not go here! Dr. Zhang and her manager, Peggy, are neither kind nor professional. I have EyeMed and had all the documentation to prove it to them, but they refused to call and verify benefits initially. I called 5 times to ask for a refund, only to have Peggy laugh and make fun of me. I asked to speak to the doctor, and they refused. They only get a small percentage if you have insurance. If you pay out of pocket, the doctor keeps the $80.00. Also, my prescription was incorrect and was corrected by my ophthalmologist. Be aware. I called to ask whether they were in network with my insurance and she assured me that they were and quoted me a $10 copay. When I came to My appointment they were nice enough and then I was charged a $20 Copay but brushed it off. After I selected my frames she informed me that I only have a $70 credit towards frames. I told her that is not correct because it is supposed to be $300. I did not buy them there for obvious reasons. In the process of trying to locate these specific frames at an in network provider, I decided I'd reverify if they were in/out of network. The girl swore that they're in network. I called my insurance, and she was wrong again. Luckily I found an in network office that was able to order these frames with zero drama. Shout out to Jessica at Dr. Lobue's office in Murrieta! I noticed a little changed on the doctor's attitude. i admit that i been coming here a lot this past 2 weeks, its bec. my vision hasnt gotten any better since i had my lasik surgery, its been 3 months ok, you're suppose to get better vision in 1 day!! i had to touch base with Target Optical and NVISION to find a solution. first of she sent me to NVISION to ask whats going on. then after meeting up with NVISION for 1 week later, her suggestion was i should get driving glasses at night so i wont get any glare & halos at night, so she faxed it to Target Optical. i really dont wanna wear glasses but if i can just drive at night w/o having to worry about the glare & halos, i'd do anything cuz im desperate!! so i made an appointment right away, the girl who answered my call says you guys are available on the same day! so i came by @ 230PM, you guys were busy, when it was my turn, the doctor didnt even know why im there, so i told her that NVISION sent you a fax and that i needed to get some glasses. i mean i totally get it, you guys are busy, so u dont have time to check your fax papers. so she looked back to her office and found my results there, she was like, "oh she just wanted you to get driving glasses" with a sarcastic tone. i know for a fact that the doctor from NVISION, also put something else how much drops i need to use per day and that i shouldnt use bottle drops and always use PRESERVATIVE FREE. i know i heard that but sometimes u also wanna know what they think about it and whats their point of view?? .. actually it does matter what type of drops you use, bec. dry eyes are a side effect to lasik surgery. but she didnt even mention all that!! and why didnt i bring it up?? cuz i forgot it at that time lol. now i know that i read these reviews that the doctor has an attitude problem. i actually didnt read any of the reviews before bec. i wanna give this place a benefit of the doubt. So I made an appointment here because it was the soonest I could be seen and I really needed new contacts, but I wish I would've gone elsewhere. I arrived about 15 mins before my scheduled appointment and was told dr was on lunch and she'll see me soon (ok, no problem!) however, about three minutes before my scheduled appointment another lady walked in and said she was there for an appointment at the same time as me and there is only one optometrist so they booked us both at 2pm and I was waiting longer and the receptionist turns around and says idk who the dr will call first as if it didn't matter that I had been waiting and of course as soon as she says that the dr comes out and calls the other lady first, so I wait and 17 mins later I finally get called back as soon as the lady walks out so I now realized the dr didn't sanitize anything and I just got seated and put my face on all the machines without anything getting wiped down. I chose to stay quiet and not mention anything, but in hindsight, I should've asked at least if they wiped it down. I made the mistake of giving Sandra Zhang OD my contacts case with prescription instead of putting her to work and figuring out my prescription and working for the expensive 10 minute appointment that felt like a sales pitch! She typed in my prescription and just tweaked the axis for my astigmatism (I am grateful) just annoyed thinking back! She offered a referral for lasik which I declined twice and then asked me about my current contacts brand and any issues I had and I explained they felt dry and moved a lot but I've worn that brand for years and she replied back stating that was a common issue with the brand and the machine mentioned I had dry eyes but she didn't bring it up until I complained and that's when she used it as a sales opportunity for some dry eye treatment that I can buy as well for multiple sessions and I said no thanks I'll need to look into that and she said ok we will get you a new brand of contacts and I said ok but ultimately she didn't have the prescription I needed for both eyes so I have one of the new brand and one of the other in at the moment and lastly she finished off her sales pitch with these under eye patches that are from her company that she was trying to sell also! She was nice enough to give me a sample without me asking (I wouldn't have regardless I was not interested) since I just wanted a new prescription to order contacts not buy skincare. At the end I had to pay $100 for this contact exam and that's with Vsp and I gave her my prescription to begin with! I then went out and the lady who was helping me enter my contact info reeked of cigarettes I could hardly wait to run out! I didn't place an order since I have two different contact lenses on and need to decide, but needless to say I would NOT recommend this place! read more

I have been going to them for my son's glasses and mine for a about 6 years. I have never needed a copy of my prescription until recently. I ask them for a copy of my prescription and they have the nerve to charge $10 each for copies. WHAT! it's not the point of being able to afford $10 a piece for copies of my own prescription, it's about them being that hard up to nickle and dime me for it. This was my first time asking too. I even called around just to see if other doctors charge this amount for copies and all three said with a surprised response, no way, that's ridiculous. It's too bad that Target Optical off Nason St couldn't and wouldn't do a courtesy copy for a long time customer just once. That would be too kind for them I guess. This was our first time using this location for glasses which were for my lil Princess. We came in on Sunday and made an appointment for today for a Eye Exam. Susan made the appointment for us and today the lil one had her eyes checked. Then she picked 5 different frames and i sent the pics to her Dad and Gramma to see. They both picked the same frame. Susan finished with the process and was very nice and knowledgeable of everything that had to be done. I would recommend Susan to anyone that needed to get their glasses to visit this location. She kept insisting that COVID 19 was fake, I informed her I had lost 2 family members to COVID-19 and then she insisted they had died from something else possibly the COVID vaccine caused their deaths. I didn't get my eye exam here, but the shopping experience was stellar. They got some stellar selection of designer frames. Although it's a small selection, it was hard to make a decision for what frames to choose from. From a price standpoint, I would say that their pricing is pretty fair. If I had to do it over again I would definitely do some shopping to see if frames are cheaper cause target might be able to price match it. The person helping me with my frame selection was super nice and I got my glasses within a few days. For whatever reason though, their texting service didn't work for me, but I would suggest if you don't hear back within a week, just call to see if they came in. Front staff is super welcoming and kind. Left the office feeling like an inconvenience though to the Doctor. Sandra Zhang scolded me and was super condescending at times. Made me almost apologize for having bad vision. My advice would probably just to be mindful of your patient. Your comments come off as insensitive. Have been going to another big chain eye care facility for years, decided to give Target optical a try. Excellent decision. The Optometrist is amazing. Dr. Han loves what she does and it shows. She diagnosed me with dry eyes and gave me sample eye drops. She was very thorough and took her time seeing me and my family. Although this particular office does not have state of the art equipment it is still very nice. Glasses are a little expensive for my taste but other than that we will be back yearly to see Dr. Han. Had the best experience at this location with Daniel and Tamara. They were so welcoming and friendly, I felt as if they were long time friends! I would not come here ever again because of the way the optometrist handled my eye exam. The ladies in the front office area are very nice and pleasant to do business with but the skinny optometrist lady did not really examine me properly. I felt as though she rushed through the eye exam, and didn't really give me the best prescription for my vision needs. The part of the exam where she shows you different lenses took about literally 90 seconds, unheard of. The reason I didn't say anything is because I felt rushed. What are you supposed to tell a medical professional when they treat you this way? Miss, can you do that all over again the right way? I'm sad to say I will never come back here again. There is a NEW OPTOMETRIST IN THE SAME SHOPPING CENTER NEXT TO CHINA ONE (no affiliation) and that's where I'm going from now on. I have been to this target optical 3 times to get my prescription renewed. The first time, my prescription was written for a computer type eyewear. Which was wrong. I needed it for reading. Then I went back and the frames were huge. I wasn't told that for a small face you should get a small frame lenses. Then I went back and got the new frames with the correct lenses and the frames were still too big. But I tried them. Now after wearing them a total of 5 times in 3 weeks. They are too big. Nothing works. I called to get my prescription so I can take somewhere else and they want to charge me $10.00 to have it emailed or I can pick it up. Seriously?? It's 30 minute drive alone to get there. Plus the hassles I have faced. They lost a long time customer. Good luck if you use them. Go elsewhere. The only good at all about this location is the customer service front staff. They are all friendly and greeted me nice. But nothing worked and I thought there was a satisfaction guarantee. I should have none better than to come to this horrible place for just a check up. Made an appointment to get my eye checked since I feared I had an infection. I was told by the receptionist I had to pay an additional 75$ just to get seen when I knew what my insurance covered. That particular person was rude and had no customer service skills. I proceeded to tell her to just do her job and verify my insurance appropriately. They had no regard to customer service skills whatsoever. I'm never coming here again. She advised me on my options and we can to a decision of what would be best for me and she even made sure I got a good price! On top of that, the staff is great, especially Tamara! I have never felt so scammed before! I wanted to get my eye checked for swelling medication so I called to make an appointment, I get told I'll need an eye exam, and I ask how much this will be since I've been there before and have my insurance info with them. She says exam will be $65 but my insurance will cover it. Great so I assume my exam is covered. I go on my appointment and I re ask again BEFORE the exam and says "no copay" so as I'm walking out the exam the doctor tells me it's $90. $90 freaking dollars! I tell her what the girl in the front told me and she says "what she meant was, no copayment was loading on her computer " but now that we have it, it's $90. WTFFFF? So you made it seem like I wasn't going to pay to charge me $90 at the end?! I would not have gotten an exam there in the first place if I knew it was $90 that's why I asked twice! This review does not reflect on Dr. Han whatsoever. I called Monday, no one answered so I left a message. Never received a call back. I searched the number Tuesday morning to call again and saw on the website that I was able to make an appointment, this was probably around 930am. Within 10am I had someone call me confirming my appointment SMH. Anyways I went in same day, Dr. Han was amazing super patient and explained everything she was doing. I left in a better mood. The NEXT day Wednesday, I receive a call from target optical saying sorry They missed my call and would like to schedule my appointment. On 8/3/2020 I had an appointment with Dr. Han. I had gone to her approximately 8 years ago. She is still very nice, very knowledgeable & takes her time with your exam. I even was fitted for soft contacts which I had never worn before. Then I went to pick out glasses. Sully took care of me, she was a joy, so patient. She even went through the trouble to give me pricing for contacts. My glasses came in so quickly, I was scared cause of the problems we use to have there. My glasses were perfect. Sully was a joy and so kind. I also interacted with Patricia on 8/14, ordering contacts. She was also very nice & gave me discounts, since I had used my insurance on my glasses. I have a high prescription & all the extras I want can be costly. Target Optical has changed for the best, so glad we are back. This review is long overdue as I have been coming here for my yearly supply of contact lenses and eyeglasses for the past several years. I am not one to change when I am comfortable with a provider so I still go to my same eye doctor so this review is mainly for the optical store. Here, Dorian has always taken care of my order. He always remembers his customers and will greet us accordingly. He takes the time to research the maximum allowance through my insurance and I leave with a good deal. I even found out yesterday that those with my same insurance can get a new pair of eyeglasses every year contrary to what my friends have been told that they can only get a new pair every other year. I will always return to this location because Dorian goes out of his way to make sure all of our needs are met. read more

Service is pretty bad. Went there because my husband desperately needed glasses. They do accept medi- cal so his exam was free. We just had to pay for the cost of the glasses which was almost $300. We had to wait 14 days to get them. When he finally got them they just handed them to him and didn't explain anything to us. Just did a quick adjustment which made them worse and sent us on our way. Wish they would of told us how long it would take for him to adjust and if we could bring them back if he wasn't happy. If I could give this place negative stars I would. The customer service from the male employee is terrible. Not only did he talk down to me like I was beneath him. He attempted to embarrass me in front of my daughter claiming I had returned other glasses. Yes, we did. It was in the manner that he was speaking to me that set me off. All they do is try to make sales and not explain how some of the glasses may differ from the actual ones. We were not satisfied with the product and we had the necessary document(receipt) to ask for a refund and he was acting like he was higher status than us. That place really needs to get their employees on check because that male rep they have is not going to cut it. Product was unsatisfactory and so was the customer service. Would never recommend this place and I hope it changes its employees so it can actually be worth going to. Luckily we found a better optical place with better prices and excellent customer service. My wife needed new eye glasses, we checked out a few places before coming here. After the exam Rob helped us pick out a good frame for my wife, we had never received such quality information on the fit and feel of frames. The shop was about to close but Rob still took the time to answer our questions, he was very sincere and did not rush us at all. After the glasses came in another associate had problems adjusting them for my wife, we decided to go back and meet up with Rob. Again, he patiently took care of the issue and fit the glasses perfectly. We have interacted with numerous sales associates, Rob was by far the best sales associate we have met. I needed to get an eye exam for glasses from a place that would take Eyemed vision coverage. Target optical takes my insurance so I made an appointment. All of the staff were friendly. The optometrist who did my exam, Sandra Zhang, was great. I felt comfortable around her and she was very nice. Turns out she also knows my regular optometrist too, small world! After getting my prescription, I went to the front area to pick out my very first pair of glasses. The woman who helped me, I totally blanked on her name but she had bright red hair and cute cat eye glasses, was awesome. She was friendly and super helpful with choosing the right frames for my face. There was another woman who was friendly and helped give suggestions and recommendations. She had blonde hair, so sorry for forgetting their names! If you ever need an eye exam or purchase some glasses definitely go to the optical department at Super Target in MoVal.
