Beautiful clean, well lit building. Was greeted upon entering. Was about 20 minutes early for my appointment, but soon as walked was greeted and a minute later Katie came out to do some pre testing. She was very nice, an testing went smoothly. Dr.Chaudhry was super thorough! I have worn glasses since I was about 1, and I don't ever recall having such a thorough exam. So thorough she found an issue I need to address with a Retina specialist! She took the time to explain the concerns, and proper treatment moving forward. Then there is Jason, he was the star of the visit. He was amazing in picking out frames, running cost through insurance, and just answering all questions and concerns we had! He was really a joy to work with! Very pleasant experience, glad took the plunge and switched!

The Dr. answered all of my questions very thoroughly and it was a great experience for an eye exam for someone who does not do well with having things close to my eyes. They did have the option for an extra charge (insurance wouldn't cover it) to use a machine to take pictures of your eyes instead of being dilated which was a lifesaver! The seemed to have alot of options for glasses but luckily I did not need to purchase any!

I really look forward to our visits. Once I was done with Dr. Myers, I was able to get to the main shopping event...GLASSES! The selection here is very well curated and tailored towards their patients needs and current fashion trends. I met with Susan who as usual, knew exactly what looks good on me and led me through the inventory. We discussed high and low bridge and what suits my face-I didn't even know this was a thing. After my selections, I went over to Jonathan who always remembers me and of course, Tom and his candor made this one of the highlights of my year.

They also incorrectly fitted me with contacts - they only carry one brand which severely limits the fit. When I complained about how they felt I was told I needed a new pair - ignoring the fact that they felt that way from day one, but I held out for 3 weeks to see if I could get used to them. That was two years ago - I accepted that they had poor service and went to a new eye doctor this time and found out that the optometrist there failed to tell me a treatment method for an eye condition. He recommended eye therapy (that cost hundreds of dollars I couldn't afford) at a clinic he also worked at, and failed to mention that vision therapy doesn't often work for my condition and it would be better to have prisms added to my glasses - something far more cost effective! Not happy with them at all!

I really liked this provider at one time. I really tried not to give a bad review of Clarence Eye…read moreCenter and Dr Murphy but i could no longer hold off on this. When i first saw Dr Murphy he changed the way I see. I have an eye condition that causes me to see multiples. The solve for that is Scleral Lenses. They are very expensive and I got several pairs from Clarence Eye Center. For the first time in over 10 years, I was able to see clearly and only one of everything! He charges a $250 fitting fee for each eye, at least he did last time I last got lenses from him. This was to include the fitting fee for each eye including all scans to properly fit them as well as free follow ups for each eye to get the fit just right. The last pair I bought, on the last fitting, which should have been included, they billed my insurance for a routine eye exam. When i called to inquire they apologized but said they would not retract their claim from the insurance company. They offered me a "credit" for my next routine exam. I explained that I go to Fichte for routine eye exams and that I only see them for my lenses. They still refused to withdraw the claim. I could have at that point pushed to claim insurance fraud on them but since i just got resolved with my vision for what is usually a year or more i decided to not embarrass them with an insurance fraud claim. I figured that i would just find a new Scleral lense provider in the future even if I had to drive an hour to see them. Now, I am in the process of getting new lenses and my new provider reached out to them to get my records to get a baseline and not have to start from scratch and they have told my new provider that they cannot help them as they never did any scans of my eyes. That is a blatant lie since they needed to do the scans to fit me with the lenses. Moral of the story, Scleral Lenses are life changing, just don't go to Clarence Eye Center for them. Save yourself the headache and seek out a different provider.

I'm not absolutely certain how I started going there, perhaps convenience, but when I started to need help with reading there is where I went. After so many years the service has never once wavered. If I was dealing with Dave and learning about contact lenses, he was patient and helped me every step of the way until I found the ones that worked best for me. Dan is the consummate professional, and never forgets names, faces or to ask how the rest of the family are doing. Dawn is my personal fashion and design assistant. She knows what works for me and what my style esthetic is. But she also will pull things that are out of the box that I will love but may not have noticed on my own. And what's so important is that she knows what I don't like on my face, anything that's too small.
