We have all come to realize that even though a product shows availability in the Target APP sometimes it is not available as advertised because of a variety of reasons such as theft or poor inventory control. But that this is of little consolation to a person who is making a medical purchase. Specifically, dry eye eye drops. I was looking for a product that was selling for $26.49 but that the product was unavailable and the next equivalent product was selling for $29.99, $3.50 higher; the lower priced products had chemical preservatives which I am sensitive to. I went to the customer service desk seeking a small discount and I was denied any discount consideration. This was not the courtesy I expected at the customer service desk. I left feeling not just exactly right about the whole experience. No compassion, no courtesy. read more

Target has quite a range of stores that are kept well staffed, clean, and merchandised nicely, to others that are hard to even identify as being a part of the Target corporation. Unfortunately, this location definitely needs new management, staffing, and just an overall good cleaning. There is plenty of accessible parking in the large lot. Security was everywhere, but ironically, I heard there were some major criminal activities transpiring in the parking lot just after we had left. I come to this Target often during my work break. It's nice, clean and organized; you may ask why I only have two stars. I usually do the AirPods in shop and self check out so I've never noticed how poor customer service is. This place has the SLOWEST customer service. Online orders take forever to be given, the purpose of the online order is to be fast during pick-up. The folks move so slow, there is either only one person or no one and no back-ups with a super long line. read more

Today there was a young man working at the customer service counter who helped me find an electrical outlet so I could warm a bottle for my three month old. He was a real relief after I'd asked THREE other employees if there was somewhere I could plug (my own) bottle warmer in to do so. You can't lead me to believe that Target doesn't have a working outlet. The second to last employee I asked directed me to the "nursing room" in the fitting rooms, where I was told the "nursing room" also had no outlet. Why does this store not have outlets, or employees who know where to find them? Or employees who don't care to help someone find one? If I don't breastfeed, am I just shit out of luck in terms of feeding my baby when I shop there? The run around I experienced today will absolutely deter me from comfortably shopping here in the future. read more

It's going to be a bit until I step foot in target of North Haven again. It's was appalling and was going to walk out but I did have a great coupon to use and it was expiring that day. We went into Target to get diapers for my daughter and noticed massive lines in the check-out and self-checkout lanes. Only two lines open forcing everyone into self checkout. When went to get a shopping cart they were all gone but two that had a broken sign on them. Now I have to carry my daughter through the store and the box of diapers. On top of it when we went to leave I noticed a couple employees crying and another employee yelling to another to back off. No way I will come to this store again. read more

Being from the Twin Cities, we know and love Target. Looking forward to visiting the Target store in North Haven Connecticut, we walked into the front of the store and stopped in our tracks. "This place is a dirty mess", I audibly spoke to no one in particular. The floor near the front door was littered with dirt and trash that appeared to have been harboring there for a long period of time. It got worse the farther we ventured into the store; unfilled shelves, empty boxes in the aisles, merchandise strewn about, not necessarily where they should be displayed. There was little incentive to buy anything as the place looked like a garage sale. We left the store disappointed, not only because we are loyal T shoppers, we unfortunately also own some stock in the company. read more

I adore Target...BUT...this one was the worst location I have ever been to. The carts were gross. They were filled with trash and product from the previous day...I went when they opened so the store had not been shopped yet. The store was not recovered very well from the previous night. It was so messy that certain sections I could not even shop due to how messy they were. I understand that a big department store can get hard to recover... especially when there is a lack of employees, but trash/product in many of the carts and product all over the floor is unexcusable. I stock for a living...it is not difficult to clean out carts as they're taken from the parking lot or pick up items from the floor. Will not be at this location again. read more

This Target stepped up. Notably, the cosmetic department is being reworked with good lighting and a better traffic pattern. In general, this store has responded to the pandemic by improving layout and merchandising, plus the staff is busy restocking. While they have the usual northeastern random shortages, they're doing well with keeping trendy cute things on the shelves. (If you need a specific thing, use the app and get curbside pickup: the one time I did it here, it went smoothly.) It looks like they intend to stay weak on food. Shop this Target for cute snacks, soup, and vegetarian frozen food, and you can buy a fresh vegetable if you're lucky and willing to steam whatever they've got. What you're really here for, though, is seasonal goodies and good-smelling cleaning supplies, both of which got bigger sections. read more

This store is consistently in an unacceptable upheaval. Baskets upon basket of merchandise to be retuned to shelves. New inventory in many departments on pallets that prevent you from shopping. Merchandise in most departments on the floor. Random merchandise on floors in wrong department. There are two other Targets that I frequent that are approx. 25 min away and clean and organized. So if two other busy stores are a pleasure to shop in WHY is it North Haven Target has been a disaster for years. I've given in ... and returned to this store and it's a disgrace. Review is for the drive up pickup. Ordered a few cases of soft drinks with a sale on the target cartwheel promo. Used the app to checkin that I was on my way and when arrived about 7:50pm clicked that I was there and in a spot. My order was ready for my pickup within 2 minutes. Significant improvement from prior drive-up pickups at the same location. Can't beat the convenience of not having to drag kiddos into the store and avoiding the impulse purchases! I see other reviewers have the same comments, and have to agree that this Target was the dirtiest, most chaotic store I have seen in a long time. I have been to various Targets, particularly the one in Albany near Berkeley CA, and in Waterford CT. They have their ups and downs, but they are basically clean and well organized. This Target in North Haven was really dirty - trash left at the end of aisles, and on the floor, and stuck behind items on the shelves, even in the grocery section. Half-drunk coffee cups, juice boxes, and water bottles were just left at the end of aisles. Whole sections of housewares had items on the shelves that belonged in other departments (kids backpacks, groceries etc.) - and the shelves in this section generally were completely disorganized, it looked like a pack of wild animals had run through the aisles pulling things onto the floor and/or shoving random items onto the shelves. These conditions are not from a day's worth of customers but weeks of inattention by management and staff to the layout and functionality of the store. Frankly, the managers should be fired, and a concerted effort and attention by corporate HQ to bring the store up to a standard level of acceptable appearance and useability. You can't shop here if you can't find what you want. Or if you find what you want, but it has been left crumpled up on the floor and not folded neatly on a shelf. read more

Usually Target is our favorite store but our last visit was just a series of errors! It was filthy, disorganized, and had product I was interested in purchasing all strapped together and just staked up in a heap of merchandise. I literally had to go find an associate to come with a blade and un-strap so that I could look at it. The entire store had loads of empty shelves, stop that needed to be put away and disheveled merchandise through out, from sheets, and clothing to the "outdoor" center. I still ended up spending almost $300 but in reflecting I would rather not tour through a third world country again. There really is no excuse. Can't be because there weren't enough associate's since I found several clusters of them in the front of the store all discussing what party they were going to go to or who was sleeping with who. I am no prude but there is a time and place for everything. Even when I checked out the associate was so engaged in a conversation with another associates that she messed up my order twice and completely ignored me and the fact that I was trying to hand her additional items for my order. She ended up totaling me out because she clearly didn't see I was even there. I said something about the fact that she never even acknowledged that I was there and she did apologize which is fine but that just shouldn't happen. Lucky, we as customers, have choices. Very frustrating and it make me sad because Target used to be our first choice as a place to go on a shopping expedition. read more

This Target seems to be going downhill and it looks like it's even worse after the remodeling. The checkout lines are ALWAYS long and it so disorganized. You don't know who's standing in line for self checkout or an actual cashier. They now have ULTA inside the store which doesn't make sense since there's no designated beauty agent in this area and they don't have all the products a regular ULTA would have so not sure what's the point of throwing ULTA in the mix. The hair products section is now scattered and 1/2 of the hair products are over by the laundry detergent section. I guess they need better management at this store. read more

This is by far the worst Target I've shopped at. If there are even any carts inside, 99% of them are broken and extremely loud. But the majority of the time they're scattered throughout the parking lot with no one to coral them. The sanitizing wipes station is always empty (and all of the hand sanitizing stations throughout the store for that matter.) The associates cannot be bothered with customers and expect you to move out of their way. The store is always a disorganized mess. The disgruntled employee in charge of running the self check out spends her time complaining about customers who require assistance. There's only ever two registers open along with the self check out. The lines get extremely long and there is hardly any deciphering which line leads to where. Just overall extremely disorganized, disgusting and extremely rude employees. read more

My favorite target and the only target I will go to in CT. I love this target because I know exactly where everything is. They just did a remodel of the clothing section which I think looks amazing. Upon walking in, the carriages are always taken care of. This to me, is a good selling point because who likes carriages if they're sitting out in the rain forever. The inside of the store is always fully stocked with carriages, unless it's Black Friday or some big shopping sale. Then the addicting dollar section is to the left, which I love because of the such good deals and steals they have! (I go a little too crazy) The apparel section as I mentioned has been remodeled. It looks gorgeous. With four manikins showing the current style and trend with bright lights beaming on them. The clothing is so organized and prestige. Shout out to the clothing manager for keeping this section awesome! Everything else in the store is easy to find and neatly stocked. I haven't run into a problem yet with this target and I feel I never will. I wish it would turn into a "super target" for more produce and a wider selection of dairy etc, but I can't complain. Target has stolen my heart. And don't forget cartwheel! Sales upon coupons! Who could go wrong? read more

Maybe I'm biased, but this Target is as good as any other I've been in. It hits perfectly on the socioeconomic scale here, and because of that there is always great selection and seemingly more clothes, especially kids clothes, here compared to other Targets. There are several Targets surrounding where I live (none are that near, but none are that far either). This happens to be the closest to my home & thankfully isn't a bad Target. I have a serious love/hate relationship with Target in general. I love the prices and they carry a lot of things I like, the cartwheel & red card discounts are also awesome people people on a budget; but I always end up spending entirely too much money. Things I don't really like about this particular store/find slightly annoying: -the parking lot is ridic, I hope no one hits me on a target quest here -the stock is variable in the food area (so many spices were empty!) - yes, I'm one of those weird people that does buy food at Target. I'm less than impressed with the grocery stores in the area and they have good prices at Target for things like coffee, rice, dry beans, frozen fruit for smoothies etc. The only thing really lacking is produce, which all regular targets are bad at (super targets are alright here too!). -they don't have enough check out lines open Things I like: -Its a clean store -It didn't look like a hurricane went through the isles (some targets always look like this) -they have a pretty decent sized food sections, some targets are smaller than others.
