This store security is ridiculous and they needs to do better. How they handle situation without proper assessment is beyond me. Today I went in there to purchase several baby items which cost me over $200 and innocently forgot to scan one item which was a baby chair and security guy stop me. He asked me to follow him into the security office not telling what the situation was and I had no clue what was the problem. As I sat there in silence, I handed them my ID when they asked for it and the woman whom I assume is security supervisor pulled out a camera put closely to my face then took my picture without forewarning. Then they told me I am band from coming into the store for a year because of thefts. I was shock not knowing I was being blame for theft. I have the fund to pay for all my item and even when I ask to pay for what I forgot to scan they said no and now they put a trespass on me for something that was a mistake. These security people need to be properly trained and learn how to fully assess the situation better. Never in my life I got treated this way by a security guard. I am embarrassed and in disbelieve by their actions. When I told them I completely forgot to scan the baby chair, they insisted I intentionally try to steal. It's one thing when theft is planned out, have the intention and act on it. I totally forgot to scan one thing and paid for all the others item well over $200 and why wouldn't I not able to pay for the forgotten item? Especially when I told them I can pay for it right there and then. My suggestion, do better at evaluating the situation and assessment of people as well as communication instead of formulating and coming to a conclusion. Regardless of the banding or not at this point, I will never shop at Target on Plain St. Lowell ever again. I will pass on my incident to all my peers and family so that they will not shop there. People who know me know I am an honest person and would never do such foolish things. read more

I love the options Target offers. Most of the staff is decently friendly. The pick up/drive up ordering at the Lowell Target is terrible, though!! At least half the time I get different stuff than what I ordered. This would be fine if I told them they could substitute, but I haven't. They've given me completely different sized bins than I ordered, completely different pants that were marked as less money than what I paid. It's a huge pain especially when you're expecting to be able to wait in your car and you end up having to go in, wait in line, and deal with it. read more

I was in self checkout Monday evening and I needed assistance with voiding an item on my purchase. It was my first time using the gift card coupon that they offer and when I asked for the workers assistance, not only did he blatantly ignore me on my first request, but when he did end up "helping" me he was extremely condescending the entire process. He made several comments to which I did not respond to avoid conflict. I was extremely disappointed with this service and if I see him again I will be addressing him to management. The restroom is so dirty!!!!!!! Why does no one bother cleaning the ladies restroom!? It's disgusting, filthy and have the same awful scent that they always use. This used to be a nice Target. Now? A dump. It appears to be in a race to the bottom with WalMart. There is stuff strewn everywhere - on the floor, in the wrong department, or just in a jumble on a shelf. There are a lot of empty spaces on shelves too. I guess because the merchandise that is supposed to be there is on the floor in another department. Last time I was in, there were shopping carts full of random crap blocking access to the bath towels. I love Target and shop a lot in their other locations. Unfortunately, my last experience at this store was less than perfect. We bought one of their most expensive air beds and took it for a camping trip the following day, I woke up with a soar back because the air bed leaked air and when I tried to return it as a failed and defective product, the staff was less than cooperative and refused to take it back. I had the item in it's original packaging with a receipt and the only thing they could offer me for my $140 purchase was an exchange. They claim it is in their store policy and some State law and I find the whole thing to be BS. The lesson here, if you need to buy an air mattress, buy it elsewhere like Amazon where they will gladly replace it because they stand behind their merchandise unlike Target. read more

No one is tidying the store, and even the Starbucks employees are more preoccupied with each other than the customers in front of them (whether it's a huge line or only one person waiting). This is actually a really nice Target, just off the Lowell Connector. Other than a spot to get to based on traffic, they couldn't have pick a better location for this new store. It use to be a Grocery Store + CVS + Bank of America, and I think a few other small stores. Most of which you can find in Target anyway (minus the Bank part and a few grocery items). The store is, well, a target. But it's huge! Bigger than most I've been in before anyway, at least most standard stores. Usually you don't see one this big unless it's a Super Target, which this one is not. Like most Target Chains, they carry a small assortment of grocery items, clothes, electronics, etc. However the grocery portion of the store is a "hike" from the main entrance. Again, it's a big store. You come in from one side and walk to the other for a box of cereal. :) They do have a Starbucks inside as well! Which a nice edition considering the next one is on Drum Hill in Chelmsford, or out in Billerica. The only down side is, this one is on Target store hours, so you can't get up TO early or they won't be open yet. Parking isn't too bad considering the space they had to work with, and the store is clean and nice. I've been a few times now and always end up buying something that I find hidden somewhere. It really is a nice location/store. Hard to rate a chain though, because as most know if you've been to one - you've pretty much been to all. The difference is if you live in the area, it's less of a drive now. :) read more

This store is VERY poorly managed! At 8:30 PM on a weeknight the store was very busy and there were NO registers open at ALL! Customers were having to use the self checkout and they had to cram together with no social distancing! Employees were just standing around doing nothing, and when customers complained, they just ignored us and walked away! I called the store from outside to complain, and it took about 10 calls for someone to answer the phone. When I demanded for a manager, he hung up on me! I called back and got the same person, who seemed annoyed and did'nt really care about my complaint. He refused to give me his name, and just gave me a lame excuse about the store being short staffed. This is all bullshit because there were staff doing NOTHING and there are PLENTY of people looking for jobs right now. there is NO EXCUSE for putting customers health at risk because of a poorly managed store! I love target, don't get me wrong. But ever since I've moved up here.. This one has been a disappointment. The makeup section is always a mess & products are opened and messed with. Or there is staff rearranging the shelves & I can't get to it! - I witnessed a staff member taking selfies while on the floor. Unprofessional. They're always understaffed and never have enough registers open. Not the employees fault at all & they are kind! Just always super slammed because they don't have enough people working. I feel bad for them. The pharmacy staff is always nice & helpful though! I feel 50/50 about this target. I believe that they are unstaffed which leads to a lot of unpleasant visits for customers. Weird rules that only apply at such a location, a couple rude/creepy employees, and to top it all off they failed to complete a return so when I got to the register there was zero dollars on the gift card. Another 30 minutes wasted just to figure it out, and they actually tried to tell me they were suddenly unable to re-return one of the items again THAT THEY ALREADY RETURNED 2 HOURS AGO WITHOUT A PROBLEM AT FULL PRICE. Thankfully, someone figured it out but had to keep scanning my ID which then locked me out of the entire Target system for the foreseeable future. This place is not even a Target. I walked into Target post Blizzard needing toilet paper. They lost power because of the storm. It was restored but the lights were flashing because of my condition I could have a seizure. I couldn't go any further. I asked a customer service worker to see if I could get help to just get some toilet paper. He sent a worker and the worker came back with two kinds and I chose, paid and left safely. I was very thankful to these two workers. I wish I had their names. This location continues to disappoint me. But first the good, it is Target and I can find what I need most of the time. The big issue I continue to encounter has to do with the attitude of some employees and overall poor customer service. The employees hardly greet you and rarely crack a smile. It feels like you are bothering them by stopping to shop in the store. I go for the convenience, it is directly off the freeway. It is a fairly new store and has potential. However, so many of the employees really need better customer service training. At this point it seems as though 75% of the employees don't want to work there. I went in today, September 17 for a flu vaccine. After finding the pharmacist who wasn't there at first, I was moved into one of the dressing rooms that they are currently using for administering the shots. The pharmacist walked in with her mask down around her chin. I couldn't believe it. I asked if she would please put her mask on properly, which she did. To be honest, I should've turned around and left right then. This target is huge. I go there all the time to just shop and hang with friends. It's much cleaner than the one at Pheasant Lane Mall. But it gets messy sometimes especially the shoe aisles. There's a Starbucks there but it's small :( there's also a Pizza Hut there. They have their pharmacy and even grocery section. It has everything. Very excellent. read more

This target has a large grocery section which I love because most items are cheaper here than at the grocery store. They also have a large selection of Archer Farms products. Okay so I was there an hour ago and I have a baby registry, the registry gave me 15% off, which is great! I arrived at the store, the employees wouldn't let me use my discount?! But online it said I can use it in store. They were giving me a hard time. The manager also said "well if it says online then it's online" through their walkie talkie. I feel like that is so rude. This Target doesn't stand out from the rest in any way except organization, or well, lack thereof. The movies are all over the place and I saw a package of Pokémon cards in the clothing section. I realize this is characteristic of pretty much all department stores, but those were only a few examples of the many and boy I mean many. It's not bad otherwise in terms of service, but if you want to find anything in the electronics section, you're better off asking for assistance than going on the epic quest to grab that last copy of Dr. Strange underneath the kids TV shelf. read more
