So we bypassed it and went into The Loft around the corner! (Read my review on The Loft. An amazing place that I just want to soak in!) At the Loft we were referred to Lee Douglas, "if you love us, step next door to our sister company and be amazed". So we walked around the corner and into an amazingly well set up space. Usually furniture stores are wide open spaces with scads of couches, chairs etc that one has to pull their creativity together. At Lee Douglas they stage furniture that provides a homey comfort feel. The furniture is beautiful and unique. Clients do have the opportunity to customize with the wide variety of fabrics, colors and they have wallpaper. The real gem is with Brenda!! She was fabulous!! She has a warm greeting meeting us as we walked in. Asked great questions and shared some wonderful guidance. The only reason this is not a 5 star rating is that we haven't actually purchased anything yet to assess the quality after some use. However I wouldn't hesitate to buy my next piece from them! Dair is THE best employee they have at Slumberland- Lincoln. A sweet, kind and thoughtful person. We did find lower prices on similar pieces at a few other different furniture store but ultimately returned here because of Dair's service. He did a lot of research for us and was also able to help us with price matching. He is passionate about his job and his clients. The other reps that helped me didn't seem as genuine or honest as Dair so please trust me and ask for Dair when coming to Slumberland. He also pressured me to purchase a mattress when I was just looking and hovered around the entire time, giving me the old line about lesser quality for the cheaper one I was interested in. No have a look around and when I finally left without making a purchase, no thanks for stopping in! A salesperson who doesn't know how to talk to people should probably go into another line of work. The one who sold me the chair seemed indifferent when I objected to their offer of taking my old chair to the landfill. Other businesses who are pushy and uninterested in serving me have eventually gone out of business. It was heavy and they did not have enough people to load it so they asked me to help lift it. Once in the truck it was lifted to get it further in and they pushed too far and put not only the table but my hand as well through the back glass of my truck. Then refused to pay for the back window. It took several days to get a response from the owner and I had to go back and forth with him over it. Even said to watch the camera to see what happened. Conveniently the camera doesn't show where we were... there was a camera right by my truck. If he'd have actually watched it he would see his guys breaking my window. He finally agreed to pay $200 of the $1000 it cost me to replace the window and said he shouldn't Eben do that. I will no longer be shopping there for anythingif you plan on buying anything there just know that their policy is that they are not responsible for damage to your property even if they clearly broke sonething.
