What can you say about Target? The stores are clean, and well stocked. I don't shop here too often, but it is my go-to for certain facial tissues. Other household items like bathroom accessories are frequently bought there by my wife. But I want to take this opportunity to issue them a REWARD! Yes, a reward. Would you believe I'm most impressed by their shopping carts? They are the quietest and most smooth rolling shopping carts of any store I've ever shopped in. They even feel just right when you are holding on to them and steering them through the aisles. I don't know that I'd go so far as to say they are the BMW of shopping carts, but they give you a feeling of confidence as you push them through the store. Never going here again. Seriously... did an online shopping order and I guess the person doing the job didn't want to do his job or they all just decided to get rid of all the inventory that they couldn't sell and put it in my order. All the canned fruit was dented significantly, the milk had a lid that just popped off and was missing about a pint of milk in the gallon container. I guess none of them lived through the Tylenol scare in the 80s to be concerned about what this could mean... but even so, this is clearly something that you always check for when shopping.... tilt the milk container before putting it in your cart to make sure it doesn't leak... this one clearly looks like it got smashed and had dried milk over it. Only thing they didn't seem to mess up was the frozen pizza and frozen dinners. But the guy clearly just had a pissed off attitude like he didn't want to be there. If you don't like your job, feel free to work somewhere else... keep them away from groceries.... Ace Ventura's mauling of boxes was only funny in the movies. read more

Had to do some of last minute and household shopping. Ordered online and picked up drive up. They were very busy and the drive up made it so easy. The worker is kept up pretty well with the orders bringing them out to the respective vehicles. They did pretty good job. That's gotta be a pretty hard task, especially around this time of year and with the weather being as cold it was today. But the employees worked like clockwork and soon I was on my way with my items. Well done, target! read more

I'm rather glad this is not the closest Target so I only come here if I absolutely must, and the most recent visit left an underwhelming impression on me. Out of all locations in the region we have been to, this store still is the only one to police (inconsistently at that) which checkout lanes customers are allowed to use. The employee who told us to move from a self-checkout to a staffed checkout lane may have simply done what she was told, but a complete lack of flexibility and empathy was off-putting, to express it gently. The fact and reality is that customers carrying 1-5 items often use staffed checkout lanes and those pushing trolleys of dozens of items often use self-checkout lanes. Many customers are quicker and more efficient than many store staff, and vice versa. And if other shoppers are like us, they would prefer to spend as little time at checkout as possible and leave the shop if unnecessary delay can be avoided. The delay was avoidable on our last shopping trip, and I even approached the staff in question while waiting a few minutes in line at staffed checkout that we would've left the shop if she hadn't told us to move to staffed checkout. Needless to say, the experience left me underwhelmed. Target may have been equivalent to competitors in product selection, but it's customer service that brings this location down in my book. read more

They have very little help. Shelves half empty whenever I go. I'm talking about at least10 times in the last year. Pallets of stuff waiting to be shelved in all the aisles. Very few cashiers. Usually, only one, and a big long line in the self checkout that runs the width of the store! When are they going to get their act together?? I don't ever go on the weekends. This isn't the Target that I usually go to but there are times when I am in Latham and it is convenient to go here. Once you find your way (it is off several different side roads and at night it isn't always obvious which way to turn) you will arrive at a large parking lot that seemingly always has a spot open for you. What I really like about Target stores is that they seem to arrange the interiors to be identical from store to store. When I walk in, I know where the produce section is, the household cleaning supplies section is, and where the small appliances will be. That is really helpful (I wish other stores were like that). It is always clean, and the staff are usually very helpful and polite. It is such a better option than the "W" store! read more

This was my (our) first time at this location though i (we) have been to many Targets all over the USA. The store is lovely, clean and well organized...great selection. Personnel very helpful. Love the quiet shopping at every other Target....not this one!!!! relatively loud, awful music throughout the store disturbed my (our) otherwise pleasant shopping experience...Very disappointing!!! I relayed this to an older(extremely pleasant) employee on the way out. I got the impression that music started after a recent renovation. This was a very un-Target experience...if I want piped in music I could go to Walmart!!! read more

When moving a student in to the capitol region, this Target has some advantages because it's a bit more distant from most of the schools, but it has to be the messiest, most disorganized Target I've ever seen in my life. Not dirty. Just crap everywhere. I worked at Target as a teenager and every time I go into this store I feel like I need to get a cart and start "zoning", refolding and rehanging things. Stuff all over the floors, other stuff jumbled, thrown or stuffed anywhere it fits. It's like they don't know that there's a back store room for excess inventory, or their idea of putting stuff away is just throwing it on top of the rack. It's so messy it actually gives me anxiety while shopping! They need to hire some hourly employees and get sorting. read more

I came to this Target to look for an auxiliary cable. I cannot drive without music, and my other cable had stopped working. I walked in here and headed straight for the electronics section. I found what I was looking for, and checked out at the counter right there in the same department. I chatted with the workers there for a bit, getting some information about the area since I was playing tourist for a day. Everyone here was friendly, and gave me a warm welcome when they heard I was visiting from California. Once I was done chatting, I bought an iced latte from the Starbucks location inside the Target. Target is probably the single business I visit most often. I love it. I shop here pretty much every week for everything from clothing, to household items, to entertainment and even food. I was surprised by the number of regular staples I've found here at lower prices than the supermarket. Of course they don't have the same selection, but I buy the basic condiments, spices, snacks, pastas, beverages, etc. for much less. Excellent. As for the clothing and houseware stuff, it isn't all five-star quality, but it's damn good for the price. And Target offers a much nicer shopping environment than some other deep-discount department stores (ahem, Walmart). Not that I have anything against deeper-discounts, but people seem less inclined to shop at Target in their pajamas with poorly behaved children wandering unsupervised and wreaking havoc on other shoppers. Plus the staff here is super friendly. Not in an artificial way, but in a way that makes me think they like their jobs. And for the green in me, Target has an excellent selection of Method cleaning products. Plus this particular Target has a Starbucks inside it, and in my book, doing just about ANYTHING while sipping a Caramel Macchiato makes it heavenly. Ahhhh. read more

I had another order I attended to today from this location. It was another short order on Shipt However, although I can honestly say I was able to find three of the four items without problems, without much signage in the book area (near the back of the store), I actually felt I was missing something. The fourth item - another of a set of three books - was very hard to find. The customer wanted something with a puppet but was able to explain their reasoning and had me find something else when I couldn't find a similar item. (They later tipped me.) I was able to find something else, but signage along the aisles in the back of the store should really be placed at least on the end cap of most of the aisles. It was hard trying to discern what aisle I was in, and subtracting to get to the aisle, was just non-existent - where I actually lost my mind and got angry at myself for not being able to find the item I was looking for the best way possible. Signage was better near the extension cords - but still not great. I had to walk to figure out what the aisle marking meant when I didn't even see aisle markings, I felt lost! (I'll try to keep the rating the same. While there's some work to be done by this Target to get them up-to-speed with the community, I won't mind coming in from time-to-time but look into fixing some of the gaps that exist in your store!) read more

I enjoy this Target, it is never crowded and they usually have what I am looking for. They have a grocery section and they have a great variety of items. They have a great shopping atmosphere, prices are low, and the staff are usually friendly. This is not a place to run into before heading to work, I have stood in line at 9:00 am, 10 people deep before they start calling backup to the front end to help out. There is a Starbucks near the front entrance. Nice plus! read more

I would like to complement Brandon at the Latham Target. I was in town for the weekend but I needed a tie and some water. I rushed over to target, got the items I needed, did self check out, got $40 cash back and left. Only to realize the next day, that I couldn't find the cash back. Looked everywhere, even found the receipt but, but no cash!!! I returned to Target the next night and spoke to Brandon and thought maybe a Good Samaritan would returned the cash to lost and found. No one did, Brandon looked at my receipt and gave me gave me $40. I recommend this Target and Brandon to anyone looking for great costumer service. read more

I'm such a target slut, I can't lie about that at all. I really enjoy this target, its always clean, always has a huge selection of everything and has lots of clearance racks (other stores have to send their clearance here cause its a bigger store!). They also have a fairly legitimate food section that has a little bit of everything that you need. Oh and the customer service desk is always incredibly quick! I've returned a few things at this particular target and I don't think I've had to spend more than 5 minutes total in line and getting a refund. AWESOME. The lines are also usually never long, they are very quick with getting you in and out. I've also always been able to find someone when I need help finding something in the store. :-D I appreciate it. I also appreciate the starbucks in this Target, even if your starbuck's rewards don't apply :-( . read more

Closes earlier than a big target should and earlier than others in the area. Otherwise a nice store--just don't waste tot time later in the evening. This is a left-handed Target (store opens up on left as you walk in), on the medium-large sized layout plan (of their five basic sizes/layouts), and it has a Starbucks inside. It's a bit odd to get to, as you have to veer off 7 up side roads to get to a middle-of-nothing spot, but the parking lot is uncomplicated by a lot of other traffic (only Sports Authority is nearby, and it's off to itself). I can't say I've seen a huge difference with respect to the staff or stock, but larger and newer is always better at Targets as these things go, so this is the second-best in the area I've been to, after the new Glenville location. read more

This is a really good Target - large and well laid out, with a huge grocery section. It can be a little awkward getting in and out of the complex until you are used to the roads in the area and the traffic patterns. On this particular visit, they should have had 1 or 2 more registers open - backup on each one available - but the staff are generally friendly and quick to ask if you need assistance. read more

This Target has recently been remodeled and is very clean and organized. I didn't have to step over clothes all over the floor, and I didn't have to try to get groceries with stocking carts blocking things I need and isles I need to walk down. They are also mostly well stocked with items I was looking for. I like that the maternity section has its own area and clearance section. And staff are friendly. read more

Clean store and never a huge line. They close at 10 and we came in at 10:30 to buy some dog food that SAMs club didn't carry and they had their Iams in all different sizes and kinds! Huge selection in dry food and I love buying breakfast bars from here as well. read more

The staff doesn't really take notice to customers. I spent a good half hour in there and didn't see a single staff member talk to or even greet a customer so there's that. They're also annoyingly remodelling the back of the store and yet there's no notice of that. So I wasted my time going back there only to find the entire area a mess and only certain things weirdly stocked across the store. You figured they'd save that for the night crew but hey, Why not do it during busy daytime hours when customers actually want to shop and buy things? read more

Easy to get in and out of. Best suggestion? I don't know...maybe improved training for seasonal hires. I've only had about two issues, both on the same trip. One associate in electronics tried to help but didn't have a lot of knowledge then the cashier had issues trying to get the security bands off of an item. She was trying really hard, it wasn't till I mentioned it to the two managers that were standing right there that they actually helped. With that being said there haven't been any serious problems. There is one associate that I always run into, she's always in the make-up section very helpful associate. read more

I love Target. They have some pretty nice home stuff. Clearance isn't really designated to one spot, but it's nice finding those little gems. This Target has a Starbucks, and a grocery section. Prices in the grocery section seem to be 1 cent more then Walmart. Some items anyway. Store is decently clean, and staff is so-so. Management seems to be very snobbiness and not very concerned about employees. The new manager there has really let the store go down hill considerably. read more
