    I guess it's all baby stuff...but really?

When moving a student in to the capitol region, this Target has some advantages because it's a bit more distant from most of the schools, but it has to be the messiest, most disorganized Target I've ever seen in my life. Not dirty. Just crap everywhere. I worked at Target as a teenager and every time I go into this store I feel like I need to get a cart and start "zoning", refolding and rehanging things. Stuff all over the floors, other stuff jumbled, thrown or stuffed anywhere it fits. It's like they don't know that there's a back store room for excess inventory, or their idea of putting stuff away is just throwing it on top of the rack. It's so messy it actually gives me anxiety while shopping! They need to hire some hourly employees and get sorting.

They forgot almost everything in my pick up order. Never going back- I'll drive out of my way to Clifton park.

We have been customers of Kincaid for over a decade and have furnished our kitchen, dining room, great room and master bedroom there, as well as purchased many unique chairs, benches and tables from Kincaid. We are sticklers for quality in the sea of particle-board furniture offered at the local 800-pound gorillas. Kincaid's furniture is always made from the best materials (solid hardwood and durable leather) and is in a separate (higher) class in comparison to what is available elsewhere. We also have had two minor furniture malfunctions (one due to a toddler harming wood on a stool and the other due to doors not properly aligning on a hutch) and both times Kincaid stood 100% behind their piece and either repaired and/or replaced the damaged items, hassle-free. Go to Kincaid!!

Excellent. Great service and great futons! Exactly what I was looking for as a young adult…read morerecreating the perfect college bachelor pad. This place is nothing like Old Brick's (in a nutshell, terrible service). Futon Galleria is run by this one guy I think, who owns the place. And the place isn't all that huge so you get a very personable experience. You might be waiting around when it's busy, but I'd rather much support a good man with a good business. While he was helping me, he stepped aside to the new customers that came in, so he's really good about it. I didn't ever feel like he stranded me either. So I pretty much asked him to unfold every futon because I needed the full experience of sitting and sleeping. I guess that's the beauty of futons. And I kept feeling bad and kept apologetically asking him to unfold this one again. His response was, "That's why I pay me the big bucks." When you can mix humor and business together, you get a two thumbs up. I was only looking for the futon mattress so I can give you details about that. It starts with $99 as the cheapest one, and even that one felt pretty sturdy in comfortable. But there are more expensive ones from $149 to $199 to $249 to $299. The 249 and the 299 are the ones that have the layers and layers (I think 8?) of cotton and foam padding. There's also spring ones that is in the 249 range. They're supposed to last you a good 5-6 years if you don't have pillow fights or wrestling matches on it. That's probably statistically false so don't quote me on that. Either way, you spend 1/3 of your life with this purchase, so might as well make it good. The cheapest cover is 49.99 and goes higher to 99.99 to 149.99 and higher I think. It's more expensive as the rating goes from Grade A to Grade D. Yes, it's the opposite from being graded in school. D is a good grade in the mattress world for cover material. I wish I had known this to use an excuse to my parents for my terrible History grades. They also do have regular beds and mattresses but I didn't get a look at their prices. I ended up getting the $299 mattress and $49.99 cover and with my amazing bargaining skills, got him to put in the non-slippy thing for free! He also ended up giving me a 10% discount without me asking. I think he felt bad for the idiot asking to get a piece of rubber thing that costs $5.99 for a purchase wayyyy more. If you're getting a futon, I recommend this place over any other place.

This store is very friendly until they get your money. I bought a pine futon and mattress and cover…read morefrom them for $600. They sent a kid to put it together the wrong way. Another guy (the owner?)came a few weeks later and it fell apart after he left. They refuse to service the garbage they sell. The futon has never worked. We have to keep piecing it back together. The hole that catches the sliding pin for opening and closing is all out of shape. The decorative side panels fall in and out. If you sit back on it when it is in couch mode- it slips out. If you want to waste your money, get lousy customer service and crap products - then this is the store for you!!! I wanted to give a small business a chance, but I definitely picked the wrong one with non-existent customer service and sub-standard products. Save yourself a whole lot of grief!

Bloomingdales is my online go to store, but Becks is my local go to store. Fast forward to the present. Becks relocated to Stuyvesant Plaza 32 years ago. They are now at their new home in Newton Plaza in Latham. The store was remodeled and it is a stunner. The furs are on one side and the clothing is on the other side. It is very difficult to go to this gem and leave empty handed without making a purchase. Why you ask? My very favorite designer and my go to is drum roll, Eileen Fisher. She is my go to favorite. There is a great line up of other designers like Joseph Ribicoff, Ilse Jacobsen shoes, jewelry, scarfs just to name a few. Becks had a grand reopening in May, and it was crowded and very well attended. In addition, several notables from the Colonie Chamber of Commerce were in attendance. Delicious prosecco, macaroons, cake etc. Such a great celebration. Everyone was sent a gift certificate to make a purchase, and I took full advantage of this offer and bought an Eileen Fisher dress in red. Joann the owner is a consummate professional along with Mary Jo, who, is so helpful. I hope that if you haven't been there yet that you will stop by to support a local small business.
