This Target is ok. Sometimes not in the best order inside and parking lot is not the best. It can get busy in here with long lines as well. The traffic around this store is another story. Plenty of traffic outside during rush hours. It's a tangle getting in and out. The service is fine and I've never had a problem here but it is sketchy at times. Yikes. Never have I seen a target so disorganized. Truly, the clothing sections were in dismal shape. Just look at the photos... On top of it, I did didn't see a single employee picking up clothing or organizing. No one would be able to shop the clothing section looking like this. I came intending to buy a few things, but it would be impossible to find anything. As a frequent shopper here, I am deeply disappointed by the consistent racial profiling I've experienced. I have been followed through the aisles and singled out for receipt checks while others walk through freely. Most recently, a security guard even followed me out to my car. Despite being mindful of my own behavior to avoid suspicion, the harassment continues. This environment is unwelcoming and unacceptable. I will be contacting corporate. read more

My 4 stars is primarily for Drive Up orders. When I compare their Drive Up speed with another Target that I frequent, it is super efficient as a post-work stop. They have good availability of items. With that said: - I had to exchange two jugs of laundry detergent that they gave me for Drive Up that were super dusty and had detergent leaking on the outside. The service desk queue was pretty long and imagine my surprise when I went to fetch replacements to see that this location has to keep laundry detergent under lock and key and the button to call for help was broken. - I purchased a Fisher Price toy via Drive Up that has a cardboard back and a clear plastic front. The toy they gave me had figures torn out of the front. I also had to find the other toy on the shelf to exchange. Customer service was fairly pleasant in both instances but if you are ordering in advance for pickup/drive up (preferred for efficiency), check your items before you leave! read more

I just attended the Target x Pokemon collaboration with my son. I was hesitant to bring him due to social media posts I had come across of thr chaos that can ensue during these types of events. I was pleasantly surprised that the event was so incredibly well organized. The security guard escorted the line to the back of the store, they limited the amount of people in the aisle at a time, and limited the number of each item that could be purchased. The staff was very friendly and everyone greeted us with a warm welcome or good morning. My son had a great experience and I was very happy with how this turned out. When you get the suburban itch to jump in your car and grocery shop (or anything shop) without the long walk home, this place is a real oasis. In my opinion, it's clean and well organized and has everything you could be looking for. Groceries? I've gotten everything on my list here. Present for little kids? Check! Rugs and baskets and sheet sets? Check, check and check. Things for work like gift bags, note cards, etc. They've got it. You know and love Target, so I won't go on. Sure, it can get super busy on the weekend, but the parking lot is huge. If you can, go during the week to beat the crowd and the veryyyyyyy long self service line. And maybe don't hold out too much hope that you'll find an employee walking around if you need help. But otherwise, no complaints! read more

Watched the store get robbed today. A group of loss prevention employees watched as 2 men walked out with a cart full of Lego boxes. Wish they could do more to stop this, but this is a corporate issue as they do not want their employees to intervene. Kind of ironic though that we have to show our receipt leaving though. Store was stocked. Lots of employees on hand for assistance. Target has the habit of showing one price shelves and another at the register, used the app so I relied on the validity of that price. Starbucks is always convenient but the machine would not accept the Starbucks app for payment, claim their machine doesn't work. Definitely inconvenient since i preloaded my card before reaching the register. I wish there were other Target locations nearby but this is the closest to me. read more

This target is literally horrible - they have sold me expired food TWICE (I should've learned the first time to check dates) and moldy blueberries once as well. The lines don't even bother me because we do live in a populated city and it is expected but the customer service is literally awful. I have had multiple interactions with employees who have told me they would check on something for me and just never come back (15-20 mins of me standing near the same place waiting). Such a tragedy that this target is so awful but it's been almost 3 years of this target being in shambles and nothing changes except they locked everything up and now it's even harder to get an employee to help. read more

I've been coming to this Target location in Jersey City for years. It's conveniently located which makes it very easy for me to do some last minute Christmas shopping. Don't want to keep reading? Here's your takeaway from this review "DON'T BUY GIFT CARDS HERE" In October, I purchased a $100 gift card for my coworker for her Birthday present. Like most individuals, it might take a month to actually find the time or need to use one. Upon giving the gift card in for a purchase she was told that the card is already in use and has a $0 balance. Thinking we could easily remedy this with the saved receipt, original credit card used for purchase, and a relatively short time from purchase to "use", we brought it back to this Target. The returns attendant called for manager assistance and we were flat out told that there's nothing they can do. "Call the number on the back" is what she stated. This is absolutely unacceptable and frankly, I'm embarrassed that my present to someone turned out this way. It's the Holiday season. If you're going to target, sure, buy an actual item; but DON'T BUY GIFT CARDS. They have no local contingency plans and will turn you away while someone else is spending your money. It's more than enough for me not to want to come back. Do they care that they lost a customer. Probably not, but this isn't how business should be conducted. It's an overall unpleasant experience to shop here. Most of the items are locked up, or continuously low in stock, and self checkout is closed due to theft, so you're subject to long lines when checking out via a cashier. Think it would be easier to circumvent this by purchasing online and picking up, but no, they got rid of the order pickup counter and you have to wait on the customer service line to receive your order, which at times can be painfully long as well. I used to love going to Target, but now I maybe stop by once or twice a year. It's not worth the headache. read more

I came to make a return of a gift stroller received through the baby registry. The item was missing a part and I simply needed to return it so that I could order another more expensive stroller. Upon request, the customer service manager "Lisa"denied my return, stating the reason was that target's policy is not to accept returns of items over $100 in value without the original box. I asked where this was stated and she told me it is online, there when you sign up for the baby registry, and posted in the store. I checked in all 3 of these places to verify this return policy and found nothing documented that supported what she said. Therefore, this "no original box return policy" was not true and likely a way to deny the retuen. She then told me that I had to call Target guest relations to resolve this instead. After calling guest relations, two representatives also confirmed that this is not an actual return policy that they are aware of, so they will call the store to seek a resolution Then with the guest relations rep on the phone with the manager, it turns out all the manager needed to do was scan my return receipt and enter the item number in to accept the return. I spent almost an hour in the store because of the manager's refusal to accept a return on the premise of a policy that doesn't exist. This should never be the case for any customer. This manager should be retrained on Target's policies and how to engage with customer's in a non-agressive way. It looks like she simply didn't want the hassle of getting the item number to process the return. Because of this lack of concern for the customer and overall poor experience I will never purchase on a baby registry, or buy another high ticket or large item from target again. read more

Target always offers a satisfying shopping experience. It's my favorite place to shop for toiletries because their prices are more affordable than drug stores and they tend to have a good selection. On this trip, I also got their moose tracks store brand ice cream. I am not a big ice cream fan but I tried this variety a few years ago and fell in love with it. They have since rebranded it. It used to come in a red and black tub but it's now brown and white. It's not quite as good but still tasty, with caramel ice cream and lots of chocolate chunks. We also spent a good amount of time in their children's department looking for gifts for a 1 year old and 5 year old. They had a pretty good selection. Their toys were very reasonably priced and they had a ton of cute clothes for kids, especially for the summer. read more

There is NEVER anything in stock. I'll specifically go for items that are indicated as in stock on the app...only to find empty shelves. Especially in beauty and food items. The produce selection sucks as well, and I've found mold or fruit flies in most of the packaged items. Staff are not helpful fetching items either. I even avoid weekends and have visited at various hours of the day, during the week and it's still bleak. I don't understand because this Target is huge with so much potential. Pretty standard target. Large and so many items! During COVID they have the spacers during check out to guarantee 6ft distance. There is a person disinfecting every station after customer use. The location is convenient for me, but they tend to sell out of bottled water on more than one occasion. Items available online for in-store pick up are not displayed for in-store shopping which can be frustrating. Online pricing is different than in-store pricing. I prefer to place order pickup from this location because it's much faster than navigating through the store for paper towels on one side and a notebook on the other. I find a lot of time is saved and dollars and cents in your pocket if you place your order online. Items like mouthwash, beauty products, health care items and snacks are usually cheaper online. The makeup I purchase is $15.99 in store and online order pick up price is $10.79. That's a HUGE price difference. I'll gladly let someone else do the shopping for me free of charge, save me some money while at it and save me so much time and aggravation. Thanks Targét! read more

But also, if you're like me an oh-I-just-need protein powder can turn into an all out $200 + shopping trip. Candles, rugs, cute PJs, avocados, toothpaste, and, oh leggings!! Pro tip - their shoe selection is a mess, better to order online. I seriously love the cartwheel app to look for sales and see if there's any covetable items before I go shopping otherwise I forget what I actually came in for (protein powder). This review is not for Target, but for the Starbucks inside this target. I walked in today at around 8PM hoping to get some coffee and shop around target. There was no one standing at the counter. I could clearly see the employee sitting by the window and having a conversation over the phone. I yelled for her several times, but she just completely ignored it. I figured, I'll just do my shopping and then come back later and grab some coffee to go. Maybe she's just on break. I took my time shopping and going around Target and came back here at around 9:10PM and the counter WAS STILL EMPTY! I looked to see if the employee was still in the corner and there she was. I could hear some sort of conversation happening in the back area too and despite my constant calling for someone to help, no one showed up at the counter. I had to ask the lady at Pizza Hut to call for someone. I'm not sure how things run here, but whether this was strictly run by Starbucks or Target, it's completely unprofessional to leave the counter for an entire hour and half. read more
