For last minute shopping, it is still organized and sales are amazing!!! Customer service is perfect, was in and out in less than one hour!

I bought my son a toy here, a jet launcher, and the same night I bought it, the toy pinched his skin on his hand. I had to take him to ER, took 4 doctors to remove it from his hand. I reported it to Target just to advise them of my concerns with the toy, and this review is based on how they dealt with it. Never got the 3$ refund, I spoke to Rihana from Target Guest Reporting and she was very rude. I love Target but the way they handled this was very unpleasant. read more

Target - Department Stores Near Me - Houston, Texas

What is it with the shopping carts at this Target? Really. Does anyone know? The shopping cart area is almost always empty of carts...they are all taking up valuable real estate in the parking lot. Every single cart not in motion, is in crouching formation waiting to ding the maximum number of cars possible. It's like they swarm. Are there no employees designated to bring the carts back? What about the employees hiding at the side of the building, sitting on the cart return machine, flirting with each other while juggling cell phones, cigarettes, and 32oz fountain drinks? Could THEY take the carts in? Since this location was built, it has gone from "convenient, awesome location" to "guaranteed to induce shopper's anger." Be careful if you ask for an employee's assistance. Most likely you are either: interrupting a very important conversation about whether he did or no he didn't, confusing a young person (I asked where the shelf liner/contact paper was), or if they perhaps know, some will point you in the direction of your next great wild goose chase. My other pet peeve are the staff meetings in the middle of the store. If I'm going to have to walk around a large group of twenty employees in a major thoroughfare, at least have the courtesy of answering a "do you carry" question. If not, then go to a staff only part of the store OR hold the meeting when the store is not open. I feel I must say something positive about this Target, it is a Target after all. Umm...they have a large dry goods section. This is a plus in a part of town that is good grocery store deficient. I also got an awesome wool rug her last year during the Global Bazaar sale for $75 (75% off). Oh, finally they do have the best view of downtown, the Mahatma rice mill, and David Adickes studio and sculptures from the parking lot. read more

Target-1 Yay! I'm a Fan! applies to my relationship with Target, but honestly this one is kind of weak. I come here simply because it's close to my house. Rumor has it that this is the highest grossing Target in the nation. As a result: PRO: They move through stock quite a bit, which means they have better logistics than the US Army. I swear, some big boxes look like the shelves have been post-apocalyptic picked over. Not this one. CON: It was shiny when I first went there in 2005. Now it just looks beat down, tired, and worn out. It's also crowded as hell and the staff just can't keep up with all the slobs leaving their carts in the lot and throwing the clothes on the floor. And don't forget the lines, lines, and more lines. My general view of Target is that they do well with: 1. Run-of-the-mill household supplies 2. Cute, cheap clothing that falls apart almost as fast as it takes to go out of style (applies to women, sorry gents) 3. The best TV stands around--actually made of wood (rather than sawdust and glue) Also, amazement upon amazement I think they actually try to buy American. The hangers in my closet are Made in the USA. Yay Target! But Yay other locations more. read more

Review of the pharmacy: If your pharmacist is somewhere other than Target you're not getting what you pay for. The staff here are unparalleled. They are always friendly and helpful. They go way beyond what you would expect from a big box store Bucola the pharmacy manager is one of the most friendly and genuine people I have ever met. She's the kind of pharmacist who knows your name and reminds you when you need things without you having to remember. Bobby is always ready to help even when he's busy. WTG bobby with your upbeat and positive attitude all the time. Loy is very friendly and helpful. He's a jack of all trades. The kind of guy who come out from behind the counter to cover breaks of the techs even if it means he's got a line 5 deep with the phone ringing. Remember the old days your grandmother talked about where service mattered? Step back in time and visit the pharmacy team here and you'll understand what grandma was talking about! read more

I placed an order in drive up and literally waited for over an hour after I called repeatedly and notified them repeatedly that I was there. Horrible set up and service at this store. Needs a change in management. read more

Maybe Im directionally challenged, I had a hell of a time getting there. Staff seems somewhat inept. Ive cheered for the mouse to reach the cheese inside their brains so I can get an answer. This one is next to an apt complex that seems to cater to recent grads. So when you want to look for all the essential beer game accessories they are generally out of them, specifically ping pong balls and tasers. Besides the labrynth like location. Its a pretty standard one stop shop Target. Cue the catchy Target commercial music. ps - joking bout the tasers. no im not. read more

This is my go to Target, I was at the door on Sunday at 8:10 for Phillip Lim bags. They were already all sold out, but I snagged the one I really wanted online, along with a sweet silk emerald green shirt. Some people had bought 5+ bags, which I just think is a bit greedy. Any who, this Target is usually very neat, the staff friendly, and it has a Starbucks in it that is rarely busy. It carries some top name wines, and has some pretty cute clothes I can wear to the office, but is still semi stylish. I also bought a cool Def Leppard shirt here recently. One stop shop for all my Sunday football needs of grilling, beer, and Texan's shirts. It also has a nice variety of pet supplies including cute leashes, dog toys, beds, and treats for much much less than Petsmart. read more

Out of all the Targets I frequent, this is my least favorite. The location is terrible, items are stocked without logic and everything is crammed together including the aisles due to the stores size. If I didn't live downtown I would never choose to come here but it really is the only choice. read more

I prefer going to this location over the one closest to my house. I love the layout of the store and am able to find what I am looking for withe ease. I also use the pharmacy here for my prescriptions. The pharmacy team is amazing and answers any questions that I have! I read more

My new Target, a SuperTarget. It's huuuuge. Sorry, I've been on the East Coast for some time. The parking lot is ginormous; don't worry about not getting a parking spot. Take the opportunity to park far away and walking! I can't tell you how many people I've beaten into a store while they idled waiting for the closest spot they could find just in the past week. There's a Starbucks and Pizza Hut in here?!? It really has been a long time on the East Coast! The store is neat, clean, with a good layout. Items on sale in their circular are in stock. Some items not on sale not present, but re-stocked within the week. I think they read the older Yelp reviews because their customer service is the best I've encountered in any Target. Each time I've been, I've asked whether I need help no less than 3 times per session. They've been nice about returns and rainchecks. Also, the Starbucks barista was super nice and gave me a cup of water for free because I was so thirsty and left my water bottle at home on my epic hunt for housewares. read more

Best Target in Houston - and I've pretty much been to every one in town. I hit up this location at least once every two weeks. Target is one of my go-to places for cheap, stylish threads for my laid-back office environment. They are frequently updating their inventory of styles - which is partly why I come here so often. Like a previous reviewer, I was in line at this location for Philip Lim and was one of the first customers in the door. I easily got everything I wanted, but it was madness. For this reason, I decided to go to another location when the Peter Pilatto line debuted. I think this was probably a good idea as it was much less chaotic at the Meyerland store. Guess there's not as many fashion-obsessed in that area. Anyway, back to this location - it's always clean and full of helpful, friendly employees. There's never much of a wait and I love being able to grab a coffee at Starbucks (inside the store) and then browse the store. More times than not, I come here with the intention to buy only toothpaste and then 40 minutes later I leave with several bags full of finds. read more

Target, why do you tempt me with cheap DVDs right next to the cashier... why?!? Is it because it works? Because it does. And now thanks to you I own the full-screen edition of Talladega Nights. Oh, by the way, I AM impressed with your Archer Farms food selections, just thought I would let you know. read more

This is shiny new store with decent staff. My only "gripe" about it is the pharmacy. Rather, my gripe is about the parent corporation. The pharmacy staff seem like they're extremely busy. Are they understaffed? I had a bizarre experience, today: I called-ahead AND my order was ready when promised. Typically (dozens of times), they haven't even started my order when I arrive (even hours after the promised time). I wind-up waiting an average of twenty (20) minutes for the #@!%*^$ order. Had I not called-ahead, it wouldn't be such a big deal. It's just rude and annoying. Alas, I do not fault the staff -- they're polite and appear to be working very diligently. They must be understaffed (so that some greedy corporate S.O.B.'s can bump-up the profit margin). Time of day and day of week seem to be irrelevant. NOTE: the ONLY reason I use the Target pharmacy (and deal with this cr*p) is because they have really good prices on many generic drugs (cheaper than a typical co-pay). ... and as for the rest of the store, I've never had a problem. Had I not wanted to gripe about the pharmacy, I'd not have written a review. It's a standard lower-tier department store. This ain't Macy's, people -- and they stock what moves quickly and is most profitable. Deal with it. read more

Well, this is a normal Target and not much more to say about it. My wife and I come here when we're in need of anything Target/WalMart related. We choose this particular Target based on it's proximity to us and the fact that it is always relatively hassle-free. The location is in a good area and we always feel safe, which can't be said for some other store locations. They always have plenty of parking due to an enormous parking lot. Conveniently located next to PetSmart as well for all your animal needs. read more

I know a Target is usually a Target, but this one is not all that old and it's already a bit tatty-looking and getting a bit ghetto around the edges. I like the location because it's the closest one to my apt and the shopping area that's sprung up around it has a couple of interesting places to eat, but honestly, I prefer to go out to a Target in the 'burbs, rather than go to this one. Just a bit too Walmart-ish at this location. Store's a bit too messy. Clientele's a bit too...just "too", you know? I'll pass. read more

Earlier today I stopped in for bread and water. They have Perrier in lime flavor and it's 8 1/2 ounces. I am trying out cobblestone Brooklyn bread. Fast check out lane. The only issue was when I went to the atm to check balance. It is located to the right of customer service. The atm was blocked by a large basket with items taller than atm. I was not able to see atm until Target employee moved basket out of the way. read more

I was on a tight schedule to run to an appointment and do a quick target pick up. Isn't that why we do drive up pick ups? Because we are short on time? Anyways, I visited the store today to pick up a couple of shirts for my son. What was supposed to be a T-shirt ended up being a can of soda. I quickly realized that I was given the wrong item and alerted the attention of the girl who brought it out to my car. She was extremely unhelpful, unapologetic, and not exactly friendly. She told me she didn't have the shirt and that I would have to go into the store to make the return. I told her I did not have time for any of that because I was already late to pick up my kids from preschool, since my appointment ran long. Instead of apologizing, she repeatedly told me she couldn't help me. After extensive dental care that I had done today, I had to sprint into the store, wait in line, and return an item I didn't even purchase, all because of someone else's mistake. That was extremely frustrating and the biggest waste of my time. I regularly go to target because of their customer service and the products that they offer. This, however, makes me never want to return to this location again. I have plenty of Targets around where I live and I will continue my business at one of those stores. Hopefully management can fix the drive up issues and the attitude of that girl. read more

I had a terrible experience with curbside order at the Target near my home. They never answered their phone, held on the Target 800 number for 2.5 hours. Switched to this Target. When there is not a Walmart around, Target is definitely a life saver. I had a little wardrobe malfunction before the elite event at Winter Street Studios and decided to go into Target to buy some tights. They had a great variety and I found the perfect color and they were just $5! Since I was already there also purchased my brother a scarf for $15 (I may need to get him a better one though). I was in a out pretty quickly, I love that all the stores follow the same format... that saves me lots of time! read more

Sorry for only 2 star review! This Target is off Taylor/Sawyer on the south side of I-10. It's been a long time coming, and I know folks in the area appreciate the convenience, I know I do. But also not to overlook, the new Kroger on Studemont and Walmart on Heights Blvd. The downers: It's a small Target(you may not be getting a full selection) , trash cans have been overflowing with trash several times I've gone, not crazy for the layout of this store and the parking is a little challenging. Last December I was checking out at a normal rate, not 'taking my time', when the hispanic woman 2 people behind me felt free to loudly try to bully me through quicker. Nasty. I give the Super Target in Pearland (Silverlake) a happier thumbs up. read more

Bathrooms are repulsive. Pee on every seat. Piles of toilet paper all over the floor. In the last year of "COVID" I have yet to see a public restroom that looked this disgusting. I walked out. Interesting how a store that seems so concerned about "germs" and won't even open their dressing room doesn't bother to clean their restrooms. Seems to me this should be the cleanest spot in the store. read more

Love Target...despise annoying rude employees. Yo Target Heights, kindly instruct your employee-particularly the young lady wearing glasses with long hair that just assisted me-that when you accidentally wait in the online pick line vs the return and exchanges line there's no need to be snarky and open up the interaction with: Her-can I help you? Me-yes just returning this notebook Her-ok but you're in the wrong line. Um there was literally no one in the other line I just stood in place behind the lady ahead of me, my bad millennial! My bad! Super Rude!!! The best part-the poor lady in line after me was treated the exact same way with the exact same snarky response!!! Hey we get it, two separate lines to help move things along on a busy day. I love that, BUT when it's dead af and someone accidentally gets in the wrong line, do you really need to point that out in a sarcastic way to not just me but the poor lady that lined up behind me??!!! I made a few trips to this Target over the new years holiday week / weekend, mainly for odds & ends needed to celebrate. The store is pretty large, which afforded us plenty of choices in the items we needed. The store was in a slight disarray from all of the shoppers, but that didn't prevent us from finding what we needed. Aside from the disorganization, the store was pretty clean & welcoming. The checkout lanes were moving a wee bit slow, but given the holidays, it wasn't surprising. I had both a friendly and an unfriendly cashier during my trips, so I guess that's a wash. The rest of the staff working the floor of the store didn't really greet us or offer to help us locate anything. They kinda just did wandered around stocking the shelves & recovering products. If we had needed help, I supposed it'd have been a problem, but we were fine on our own. Since the location is convenient & the prices are (mostly) right, I'll probably swing by here again when I need a few things. read more

I am a regular here because it's very close. I guess if you need something from Target you won't drive across town to find a better one if there is one within a mile, right? Just a regular Target, selection is ok not very good. They sell these gloves made by Casabella (which is my favorite brand for cleaning supply) but the don't even have "Small". I have tiny hands and can't say I am not let down. Cross my fingers and hope that they can improve. read more

I was attending a class at a location nearby and needed a notebook and pen so this is where I decided to stop off for it. I think I also picked up a birthday card or two for my hubby while I was there. And maybe some candy to eat during said class. So it's a typical target. The good thing is that it is pretty easy to get to, park, and get out of when done compared to many other Targets I have visited. For example, the one at Memorial City Mall? Well with the addition of a Cheesecake Factory next to it the parking lot for that mall, including the Target area, is a cluster- BEEP. And Fry Rd? Fry road is a traffic jam all within itself with everyone moving out to Katy, so this one is relatively non-road-rage-inducing if you hit it at the right time. I have to say that while many people in the heights may not like this store or feel it looks obnoxious, it is not nearly as noticeable or obnoxious as the giant apartment building that obscures its view from the freeway. read more

This Target is arranged like the newer Targets. It's spread out a bit more, and it has a lot of random stuff that you can wind up spending an hour looking through. There are some things that you can't find at this Target (such as Bumble and Bumble shampoos/conditioners) but that's fine, it's not a big deal. The biggest pro I can think of for this Target is how it's in the middle of a shopping center. On a hot summer day, you can go grab ice cream at Marble Slab and then do your shopping at Target. You can pick up food for your pets at Petsmart, or go to grab office supplies at Staples. They usually have a larger selection of clothes at this Target than the one I usually go to in the medical center. read more

I usually love Target, but this location is seriously lacking in one major aspect. Freaking customer service! I understand that most Targets have the same general layout, but just like different grocery stores, items can vary in location depending on which store you are in. My first visit here, I was looking for a specific item and proceeded to ask the first employee I found where it was located. She answered me in a manner that indicated I was bothering her (even though she was just standing around in an aisle...) and then the direction she pointed me in turned out to be completely wrong. I ended up having to ask a different employee where the item was and they sent me to another area where it also was not located. Turns out they don't carry it and both employees I asked had no idea what they were talking about. I'm all for scavenger hunts when they have a purpose, but this was a little frustrating. I purchased quite a few things including a large microwave. Not once did a single employee offer to help as they saw a 5 foot tall girl struggling with an overloaded cart. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the target in my hometown who knows. I have not been back since but seeing as it is the closest location to my new place I'm sure I will have to venture back here again. Hopefully next time my experience will be a little different, or even a lot different... read more

Desperate times call for desperate measures. I LOVE their dollar section but let's face it, who doesn't? I picked up a few nifty items here and there from that section and that's pretty much it. Target is overpriced. I went in a few times needing some items and end up leaving because I can save more money going elsewhere. Mind me I'm a frugal shopper and but there's no way I'm spending an extra 5 bucks on an item. I can say the employees are incredibly friendly. Very clean store and items in stock. Hey never seen the dollar section @ the front of the store so organized before. read more

Target is fabulous! Probably my favorite store of all time, I mean seriously they have EVERYTHING! The dollar section typically yields great little items for gifts, they have a great selection of clothes for all sizes, electronics are great if you want movies or ipod accessories, home goods are fabulous... practically everything in my apartment is target, besides the furniture [that would be ikea lol i'm such a cheapo], the cosmetics and pharmacy are great and are now carrying more and more organic and natural products [woo hoo], and the food and grocery section rocks! This target in particular is really clean and organized, and is always up to date with the seasons etc. Right now they're unfortunately doing a little reorganization so if you're not a patient person wait a week or so until they've got it down! The staff is so friendly and the atmosphere is really relaxing, I definitely come here for retail therapy. Also, the surrounding shops are great! So if you need to stop by petsmart, or want to grab a burrito at freebirds, this little shopping center is the perfect destination! read more

I REALLY like this Target. It is great that one is so close to downtown. I have always found it to be clean and the staff helpful. I like that there is a grocery section and I can get a lot (not all) of my food shopping accomplished. I was way happy to find a white waffle robe for a fraction of what I saw a similar one for elsewhere. The cleaning supplies are diverse and well organized. My hair color is always in stock and they carry the bubble bath that I like (which is not at every store). Most likely we will be moving, and I will make trips there to pick up items we need for our new home. read more
