The Target store on Val Vista i used to work there awhile ago. Lemme tell you working there with the employees were perfectly fine. Everyone got along really well. The only we all really had was the managers they never respected us. Even if we had open availability they would give us 15-20 hours a week when it's not holiday season. The managers would also have an attitude towards you even if you did your job right. There was a time I was trying to help a guest to make sure my own employees didn't have to stress with helping her. Some how I still was in the wrong after that situation. Working for target I know they say they pay really good they really don't . They don't always schedule you good hours and they always screw you over! Even accusing team members of things that weren't their fault. I would never work for target and I highly recommend thinking twice before working for target. It's just the disrespect is unreal and I definitely didn't tolerate it if I was a leader I would wanna respect the people I'm working with just saying. read more

My girlfriend and I went to the Target store located at 1515 E Warner Rd, Gilbert, AZ to purchase a KitchenAid knife set. The product is only available to be purchase at the store and not online. We went to the store to purchase the set at the clearance price. The customer service rep told us that they could not honor the price. We needed the set anyways and we paid the $80 instead of the clearance price of $50. We did not make a big deal out of it because other customers were waiting. My girlfriend called customer service and they told her that we could return the product and that we could call back so they could process the order and that we could go and pick it up after that. Too much hurdles to get the advertised price. Not worth it. read more

I really thought I was the only one who thought this particular Target REEKS of urine, but other reviewers have reassured me I'm not the only one who catches a whiff of it while walking in. That alone is absolutely disgusting, and really how hard is it to pull out the small sections of carpet that clearly reek of urine and replace it with tile or something? Even with that, their store pickup option isn't great. I've had items cancelled here before for being "out of stock" and then I'd go in to pick up the rest of the items and find the items in stock just fine (and in abundance) in the area where they're supposed to be. It's just lazy, really. But I've moved now and live closer to a Super Target so thankfully I don't need to smell the urine at this one anymore! read more

I called this target to see if they had an item in stock. The customer service person said that they had "46 cases of it in stock." So I drive 20 minutes to this store just to be told that it's in the back and they're not able to get to it. Isn't that something that should have been told to me before I drove there? I was then told to come back in three days when it would be out on the floor. No offer to take down my name and number to call when they're able to get it. One of the worst Targets in Arizona! Employees are horrible and if you ask to speak to management, they just don't care about customer service AT ALL. Customers should come above everything! Items show "in stock" online and in store but employees and managers absolutely REFUSE to go get them from the back..."They are back there, we just can't get them....". What is not to love about target. It's the place where you pay a little more just so you don't have to shop at Walmart. Always have a killer deal on clothes and the home decor isn't bad either. The location is great. Will definitely be back. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed getting our son's photos taken for his 2nd birthday. We signed up for a time online and the photographer called us personally for additional details. They were running a bit late when we arrived but that was okay, as they had toys to occupy little dude and the woman checking us in went through a few items with us and let us choose our backdrops and props. Kim is the manager and photographer and she was AMAZING. She may be the toddler whisperer because she got our kiddo to model like a pro...hand In pockets, peaking over shoulder, smile on command, etc. we were able to do an outfit change and use props such as numbers and a football that they provide. She also has some other creative ideas that she tries out at no charge (unless you end up choosing those photos of course. We found a coupon online, so be sure to look and bring it with you. They sell photos by the sheet (1-8x10, 2-5x7, etc) and you can buy the CD...but for an obscene price. This was included for free when we went to the JCPenney studio for his 1st b-day. They also charge 10-sitting fee per person, so be aware in case they spontaneously ask if mom, dad or the whole crew want a photo. My hubby took one pic with our son and they charged the sitting fee. We also told them that we are not a big fan of the edited photos with themed borders and text but they did it anyway(it must be mandatory for upsale?). We viewed, picked, and paid for our photos right after the photo shoot before we left. We picked up the photos about two weeks later. They give you a password to see your photos online and order more. This was great for long distance relatives. We will be back again next year, as long as we find a coupon and Kim is the photographer. The photos turned out great! read more

I had THE best experience at this Target location!! The manager, Nick took great care of me, helped me understand some of the in's and out's of using coupons, and the CS staff was wonderful about explaining the RED card and helped me learn about the apps on my smartphone! I went to CS because there was an error on my receipt from earlier in the day and I wanted to understand what the computer was doing, so when shopping in the future, I would know what to expect.......they made it right and the Manager even MADE ME A MILKSHAKE!!!! I like coming to this Target because I feel like they have really good variety and better selection than other targets. I usually have pretty good experiences here and the employees are pretty helpful. However, as I was checking out today I did experience behavior that I would categorize as rude by one of the check out staff. I was waiting in line at the self checkout and a register had just opened, I didn't see it at first until I turned my head and saw that one of the employees was hand motioning to head to the next register, which I then realized and apologized. The thing was the hand motions were quite rude and he started making annoyed faces, but most importantly he could have simply grabbed my attention by saying " excuse me sir, another register is open", which have been much more polite and appropriate than trying to wave me down. read more

Walking into this Target as opposed to some of the others is a markedly different experience. The Target on Val Vista and Warner has more of that dollar store feeling at times. Today, my particular gripe is in regards to Inventory, particularly the Fresh Pet brand. It's a growing market for people who are looking for reasonable alternatives to over processed dog food. Target has a great price on this line. I'm genuinely surprised they aren't doing a better job of monitoring sales to accommodate their inventory. This store is missing out on sales. They will be out of stock in their fridge for 5 or more days at a time. I wind up driving out to the Target on Ray in Mesa to pick up the large rolls of their beef line and always wind up buying additional items on the way out. read more

Why we keep coming back? The high level of knowledge and education of the Pharmacist and the wonderful customer service we have received. We have primarily dealt with Dan and at times in his absense, the other associates were able to step in and make our experience seamless. It's very refreshing to see this kind of team work! Went there today 5/7 around 12:00 to return some stuff that didn't work out for me. The girl goes "can i help you..?" and as i'm checking out she's talking to her co-workers saying "do people ever keep the stuff they buy anymore?". I shop here all the time and all staff is nice but this girl on many occasions has been unprofessional. Have a filter when you're in the work place!!! didn't have on a name tag so I didn't catch her name either but regardless no one should be talking like that in front of customers let alone to the customer. read more

Absolutely horrible service. A Target mobile associate was ringing up a customer and I stopped in knowing what I wanted ready to buy, she did not even greet me and immediately began texting on her phone. Another Target mobile rep approached me and asked if I needed some assistance I let him know what I needed to purchase was locked up and he then called someone over to assist. I would like to personally thank DOMINIQUE at customer service for going out of her way to process a return for me today. I bought a $100 hair curler at another location two days ago and had already thrown away the receipt. To make matters worse, I purchased it with cash and at another location. I went to the original store first and they told me I didn't buy it there and to go to the Gilbert store (the only other place I thought I would've bought it). I provided the time and a range of registers I might've went through. She even offered to check security footage, to which I agreed. She came back and asked me a few questions about my order that day, which happened to include 3 bottles of wine that I scanned my ID for. We were both excited to confirm that my item was found on that receipt and I was able to return it. This was incredible customer service on her part, especially since I DID buy it at the first location and the manager there told me she couldn't find it. I doubted myself and my memory but I can't thank DOMINIQUE enough for her kindness and dedication to the satisfaction of customers. I am more than happy with how this was resolved and just want to say thank you again. Her patience and the creative intelligence she displayed kept me at ease throughout what usually would've been a frustrating experience. She is the model for EXCEPTIONAL customer service! We shop here all the time but today decided to use the pharmacy. This is exactly what happened. I walked up the to counter and tech says "who are you?" Me: "Kim". Tech: "what do you need?" I'm already irritated at this point. After I told her my daughter's name 4 times....yes, 4 times (with spelling and DOB), she finally got it. I worked for Target as a tech for 10 years before leaving and i can't believe that this is how they greet people now...it absolutely made me feel as if i was a bother. Seriously...if "who are you?" and "what do you need?" is the first thing that comes out of your mouth when serving a customer, i think a more thorough course in Customer Service needs to be reviewed. read more

This is a old store. It does not have the selection you get used to. I was there to buy storage containers for the hospital I volunteer at. I get everything up on the belt and have it all arranged by size and price. The lady in front of me wants to buy a coffee cup. No tag. She says it was 8.99. The check out girl who could not have been more disinterested in her job tells her they have to have the code. So we wait. And wait and wait. They talk about the ladies pretty hair. It was pretty. But they chit chat like old buddies. FINALLY she realizes I am not happy. I didn't want to load it all back to my basket and be last in line. She FINALLY asks if she could rig me up while they wait. Then she asks "how is your day?" Told her not to ask. She says "you look tired". Thanks you look slow and lazy. read more

. I bought lenses from Target on power and Ray at the optical center. I returned them after 2 weeks and I did not have my receipt. SO although it showed on the computer that I had bought them there they made me come back with the receipt to get my $75 back. ..,.Then it gets better I was told by target customer service on the telephone by 3 different agents that I could return to any Target customer service counter with my receipt and they would give me my $75 refund. So I found my receipt. I went to Target on Warner and Val Vista to return my receipt to get my $75. The girl called the general manager of the store because she wasn't sure if she could do it. The general manager stood there and argued with me about what I was told on the phone. He said he didn't deny I was told that. I guess he really has no faith in his own company. And he's the general manager?!!? I asked him to call another Target to speak to that general manager to get a second opinion. "Shane" thought I was telling him to call his boss. Sounds to me like the guy has an issue with authority- maybe he thinks he's always right. BOY that's a really good team player and a really good general manager to talk down about his home office and their inability to preach policy to its customers. If I can help it I'll never step foot in another Target or my family. read more

30 day return policy is strictly enforced. Even is they stock the same item and it is in unopened condition. I don't like going to Walmart but at least the return policy is reasonable there. read more

I was at the Target on Warner road in Gilbert ready to check out at 8:30am on Sunday. I had read that they put in self-service check out stands, but was confused when they were the ONLY option to checkout on Sunday. I even asked for an open cashier and was pointed to the self-service area. I had a coupon on my phone, that wasn't ringing up, and had a few other issues and finally got so upset I left my purchases just sitting and walked out. I feel really bad for the people who lost jobs there as cashiers and especially for people checking out with large purchases or groceries! After leaving my items I drove over to the Super Target on Gilbert road to find almost the same thing there! They did have one cashier open, but a Target employee was trying to get people to leave her line and self-checkout...no one was willing to do so. If I wanted to check myself out at a Target - I would work there. Target you lost my business. read more

Stay away! They only have ONE photographer that does everything. U have to come back just to pick out your pictures that you just took. We had to wait an hour just to pick our pictures and pay for them. They book everyone every 20 mins. That's time for the pictures, to have them pick out the pictures, and pay for it. I paid $200 in pictures to get that treatment. Not run well at all!!! No one at Target can help u either. The photographer did well but they need way more staff to check people in and out etc. Beware they close an hour for lunch. Make sure not to come back then for your pictures. Just wasted my time driving over to find they just closed for an hour lunch 5 mins before and no way to pick up my pictures. I don't live close by either. I will not be back after I get my pictures from them. I give the photographer 4 stars and the actual photo studio 0-1 star!! They are lucky to get two stars!!!! read more
