Kudos to the assistant manager with the nuyorican accent for trying to resolve a silly matter that should have never happened Semi- praise for Malia, an associate that's been in place for less than 30 days per the Asst. Mgr, for trying at the start of our interaction but clearly shows her disdain + childish ways when she told me I lied. My gosh, new or underage ....I've never once felt comfortable or able to tell any walking adult that they are lying while rolling my eyes WHILE I'M AT WORK. Help me for even trying. Young or not, she's at work and should know good and well. Alas, this place should be closed as they marked my online order picked up when it hadn't. I called Thursday, August 14th following instructions the email provided. In the end, Malia told me the manager told them to put back all orders as they hundreds and no one was picking them up. This was incredulous to me as I had just ordered Wednesday. They picked it Thursday. To Malia's credit she offered to manually fill my order again and I eagerly denied that excruciating waste of time. I asked what's needed so this refunds and not shows picked up. She put me on hold returning to say the manager said I had to come in. That was too much so I knew I'd just deal with Amex and be done with this company as I'm clearly not their target market. And, that's okay.

Belk Leadership -- you all are doing yourselves a true disservice by not elevating Brittany T to an even more visible role in a Leadership- Training - people manager. Her level of Professionalism, Courtesy in the way she engages the customer and speaks and interacts with those she supports is truly Amazing and should be recognized. I had seen her in the store prior (months ago) bc this is our favorite location during the holidays and charity event. I had never interacted with her always witnessed her working hard - in other words doing what she could ask others to do however she does the heavy lifting herself. Brittany T if we were hiring I would steal you and elevate your role as an example of Valuing the Customer and Leading with Excellence- because you do the work even when no one is watching. Bravo - Brittany T. Sincerely, H - A proud Charlotte Native

Fortunately my wife and I had been to Dillard's where customer service was very available and helpful. Not so at Belk's. We learned a bit about trousers, so wife pulled a number of pair for me to try. I grumbled about clothes shopping, but it was contained in the changing room that I occupied. The room was thoroughly trashed. Rubbish spread over the floor and pins stuck everywhere on the walls. Ugh! We did find some pants and when we went to pay for them, there was no one in sight. Must have been with the sales reps who were also not visible. Finally we found a "station", paid and were gone. What has happened to Belk's? They use to be a very nice place to shop with super customer service and help.

Before you go here, go with the understanding that it is hit or miss! They get shipments all the time full of clothing, household goods, kitchen equipment, decor, stationary, etc. Many of the items are from Target. I have personally had some amazing finds here including: a Emile Henry spoon rest for $3, a ten piece set of green pots and pans $68, 16oz McCormick vanilla extract $11 The store is definitely quirky. They have a lot of pre work clothes -- like consignment. They have lots of brand new never been worn clothes too though. They have high end baby items. Lots of children's toys too. The store is large and well organized, but it's a little bit of a warehouse feel. The people that work there are pretty nice, I became friendly with a girl named Cori she was so sweet.
