Hearth and Hand with Magnolia section

This is my neighborhood Target, and I am so glad it is! There is everything you could possibly want, and I always leave with more things than I originally came in for. The space is very well organized, and the clerks are really helpful if you need help finding something. I would recommend downloading the Target app on your phone, so that you can check for discounts. Sometimes, the Target app will quote a price for an item that is way lower than what the store is selling it for. If this happens, tell the cashier and they will match the price that shows up on the app. Right when you walk in, there is a food court to the left. It has a mini Starbucks, and I've stopped by to get a little fuel before shopping. They have great service, and it's just like any other Starbucks! This is a great Target and they will continue to have my business!

New backpack, freezable lunch bag, and can cooler for work.

It's Target so you can't go wrong. Target is my happy place. I just bought this amazing backpack, freezable lunch bag, and holder that says it keeps canned beverages cold ... excited to use them at work next week.

Horrible store layout. One entrance food section is 100 yards away from the door. I use to go to my former local target a few times a week. Every time I go to this store I remember why I don't go more often. Today I was in search of rye bread. The web site showed it available. This picture is the bread section at 1pm.. And... No rye bread

My daughter and her sister went to this Target on Saturday to make a purchase. One of the purchased two items in the back of the store, collectibles, for her and her son. While going to the front of the store - I called my OTHER daughter and asked her to get one additional. My first daughter had paid for it in the back but after she did, the lady left, so my other daughter got the item and came up to the self-checkout to pay. This employee- in the picture- came up to her as she was paying, had her card in the card reader, and told her, YOU CANT PURCHASE THIS, took the item that my daughter had already bagged, reached around her and CANCELED HER TRANSACTION!!! He completely embarrassed her because he apparently and very much incorrectly thought she was purchasing an litem that she was not allowed to purchase. Instead of explaining what he THOUGHT was correct, he embarrassed her by taking the item and canceling her purchase at the Self-checkout! He then took the item and walked away leaving her standing there completely embarrassed as if she was stealing or doing something wrong. As it turns out, not only was he not supposed to take any of the actions that he did, he was completely wrong and she was well within store policy to purchase the item. Not only was it not a limited purchase, that is not Target's policy on the item, nor their policy on how to handle that situation, he was in no way authorized by target to do what he did. We went back and I spoke with the manager there at the time and today spoke with the store manager; it seems that none of them think this guy owes her an apology for accosting her in front of several customers, making her feel like a criminal and snatching her item away as if she had done something wrong. They said it will be addressed and he will be spoken to, but ... I'm not done with this.

Target... Even fabulous on rainy evenings

This Target store is always clean, tidy, and well-stocked but the lack of open registers is always a struggle.

The customer service was great but again the restroom was very dirty toilet paper all over the floor. I guess people do that at their house.

I hardly know where to begin in writing this review. In JUNE of last year, we ordered some very…read moreexpensive shades from Ethan Allen in Fredericksburg for our asymmetrical windows in our great room. From the start, so many things went wrong with this order. Such as: misinformation/confusion from the sales person as to which shades could or could not work in our windows, a grumpy installer who had to come back several times to get the measurements right, poor installation (one of the shades would not operate correctly), the wrong-sized shade that had to be recut and reordered. Hunter Douglas is supposed to be the premier shade manufacturer and I don't know if the problem lies with Hunter Douglas or with the local store who did not seem to know what they are doing and made little attempt to make this right for us. As of right now, January 2021, we are still missing one of the shades that had to be recut because of an error in the measurements. The order was originally placed in the summer of 2019. So we have been waiting for 7 months for completion! You would think the sales person would offer us some kind of remuneration, or would do something to expedite this last section of blind, but that has not happened. I will say that the shades that did manage to get installed look very nice. I will also say that our windows are very oddly shaped. But still ... we could have taken a little vacation on the money we spent on these drapes, not to mention the aggravation of trying to get it all done correctly. I wish I had shopped around. The attached pictures shows one of the shades that would not operate correctly after the installation.

I was…read morelooking for a recliner combo and Mr. Larry Stewart was right there with some suggestions and helped us make the right choice. He walked us through the purchase process and helped to schedule delivery. The store was very clean and all of the Home Furnishings Consultants were nice, polite, and patient. The cashier/scheduler was super friendly and very helpful. The scheduler called about a week after our purchase to let me know that an earlier delivery date was available and did I want it. The delivery team called the morning of delivery and let me know they were 30 minutes out. The arrived a few minutes early and brought the sofa in, set it up, had us test the recliner and lights. All in all an awesome experience. Recommend VCF highly, and Mr. Larry Stewart as your representative.

Legacy Worth Protecting--Why Let It Slip? As someone who…read moredeeply values family legacy and community trust, I'm disheartened by the volume of unresolved complaints on here and poor reviews surrounding Value City and other Furniture stores--especially when reading from resources, it's part of the Schottenstein family's long-standing retail heritage. They also own DSW and others. The Schottenstein name carries weight. It represents decades of entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and leadership in American retail. So, it's hard to understand why a company rooted in such values would allow its reputation to erode through repeated customer service failures, delivery issues, and lack of follow-through--many of which are documented across Yelp. I walked into Value City Furniture with $2,200 in store credit from a previously returned product that I paid for. and a $9,000 credit limit--ready to make a purchase. But I had misplaced the physical card tied to the credit. The store manager could see the credit was mine, yet told me I could not use it without the card. No empathy. No effort to help. Just a cold refusal: "We can't do anything unless you have the card." It was like going into your bank with a 2200.00 balance and being told that because you lost your debit card, you can no longer use your balance and given no resolution to replace the card. I felt I was met with attitude because I returned a mattress that I could not sleep in during the trial period. I was sold on the verbal promise that I had 120 days and I could return the mattress. I trusted and believed the wonderful sales lady who sold me over $8,000.00 in product. After waking up with crippling back pain, I tried to return the mattress and was met with resistance and advised I had to continue to sleep and suffer for at least 30 days, and that they had a no-refund policy. When I ask what happened to the grantee's 120-day return policy. I was then shown the fine print on the contract that you get a one-time reselection. The marketing of Grantee's 120-day Return without advertising a no-refund policy in one sentence or statement was a strategic marketing deception. A cheaper mattress may be worse, and a more expensive mattress selection would have been non-returnable. So, I requested store credit, and I was denied, and told taking another mattress was my only option. I didn't request or feel I needed to sit down with an attorney before giving payment after spending hours with my trustworthy store rep. I trusted that she had told me everything I needed to know. She left out the one-time reselection and the money, non-refundable part. I had to involve the BBB to receive an in-store credit for the amount I paid for the mattress. I returned home feeling stunned. How could a company just deny me access to my own money? It was like a bank that can see you have 2200.00 in your account, but the bank tells you it will remain there until you find your debit card, with no offer of a solution for the lost card. Later, I found the cards. On the back, it clearly states: "If this card is lost or stolen, the remaining balance may be replaced." So, I returned to the store, to make sure the cards were still active because I had called their headquarters, hoping for a resolution. I wanted to make sure they didn't cancel out the lost card. Instead, I was met with the same cold demeanor. No eye contact. No welcome. Just: "Your cards are still active." No effort to re-engage me as a customer. No attempt to earn my trust--or my business. Maybe it was because they only want customers who will not reject bad business practices and accept being taken advantage of without speaking up. This wasn't just poor service. It was a missed opportunity. If I were managing that store, I would have said: "Let me call headquarters and see what we can do." I would have shown empathy, offered solutions, and maybe even introduced a sales rep to help me use the $9,000 credit line I had available. That's what good service--and good salesmanship--looks like. Instead, I left feeling like my presence didn't matter. Like my money didn't matter. And that's a shame, because the furniture appears beautiful. But beauty without integrity is a hollow brand. The Schottenstein family built a legacy on trust, entrepreneurship, and service. If this is the direction their stores are heading--cold, transactional, dismissive, and shady--it's not just disappointing. It's tragic. I no longer feel safe doing business there. I fear retaliation is possible through damaged goods, delayed delivery, and then pushed toward the same warranty company so many others have warned about. I don't know what to do now, because I no longer trust the company that is holding my money or their product that the reviewer is complaining about. Save the Legacy and the designers of the furniture, and practice good business. Please! I hate to see a store closing. --
