My 2-man crew is out in the freezing rain on a 12 hour job to clear fallen trees from the road for VDOT. We took a quick trip to this Target near our dispatch hub, to grab some snacks, walk around out of the cold, etc and it was the greatest experience. Mary & David greeted us w complimentary coffee and even accommodated my preference of non-dairy creamer with oatmilk creamer which they put aside for us for the rest of our shift and free coffees all day !! They have a whole table set up with snacks, including fruit and everything to make PB&Js (at the Starbucks in the Target) free to all road work crews. Definitely feels like small town care for one's neighbors; this kind of appreciation for each other is not always on display but it's so nice when it is and I couldn't be more grateful. Like all ROSS Department stores it's always a hit or miss. I have found some really great deals at…read morethis location but my review is because of their customer service practice. The last 2 times I've went to this location there has been only 1 cashier. So of course there is a line the problem I have is when someone walks into the store and go to the return line and The cashier ignore all of the customers who have been patiently waiting to checkout so we can get on with our lives. Because this same thing had just happened to me earlier this week so When I finally made it to the cashier today I questioned her about why would she take someone who just walked in and she had customers who were already in line waited and she informed me that that's how it's done at Ross. If a customer with a return comes in they are to take care of the return fist and then take care of the regular customers. I asked her did she realize that we both are customers and your basically saying your customers with returns are more important than the customers trying to make a purchase.
