I was so excited to visit Hobby Lobby today to pick up some fall and Halloween decorations. As expected on the first day of fall and Labor Day, the store was very busy. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I realized I had forgotten my physical card at home. Since it's 2025, I figured I'd still be able to pay with Apple Pay on my phone. After waiting over 30 minutes in line, the cashier informed me I couldn't pay with my phone. I explained my situation and asked if I could type in my card number, but she said no--and was extremely rude and dismissive about it. Instead of trying to help or offer a solution, she had no understanding of the situation. When I later tried to contact the store to share what happened, I was hung up on rather than connected with anyone. This entire experience was frustrating and disappointing. Because of this, I will not be shopping at Hobby Lobby again. read more

Worst hobby lobby experience ever. First off the store is in disarray and a mess. Nothing is stocked right and some aisles are empty and others so disorganized. But the main problem is the elder employee who thinks instead of doing her job should be rudely commenting to moms about how there kids are in the cart. But it's probably due to the fact I was with my Hispanic husband and she spoke to him and not me, rudely about it. Never visiting this location again. read more

Custom framing: After visiting two other places that offer custom framing, I decided to try Hobby Lobby. For the same frame, better service, and 1/2 the price, I was able to get my reframing done. Ms Cheryl was awesome! She was knowledgeable, professional and made great recommendations. The production time was reasonable and I received a call once it was ready for pickup. I will definitely use Hobby Lobby-Fredricksburg for all my future framing needs. read more

They're products are great, but somewhat overpriced. Unless they're having a sale, I can't afford most of the stuff in there. Also, they never seem to have what I need, but I end up buying other things that I don't need (if they're on sale). I've never really had any experience with the staff. They pretty much just stay out of your way and let you figure things out for yourself. read more

I am sorry to post a negative review but it is what it is. The second time in a year I was there looking for epoxy kit to make replacement parts for an antique mirror. Two days ago I made the 10 mile trip there and when I couldn't find what I needed I asked a lady in the isle. I mentioned "resin" and she pointed to where the resin was and walked away. I still didn't find what I was looking for she ignored me and any attempt to assist my search. What do these people do? I walked out of the store a 2nd time without buying anything. Lock the door and throw away the key! I never wanna leave this store. It's the kind of place where time stops and the hunt for the perfect find begins. This is my go-to for SO MANY things: frames when we get family portraits ... fabric, thread, elastic, buttons, knitting needles, yarn Etc. when I make my own clothes... This is where I got everything to create a quilt panel for the NAMES Project ... where I got artificial florals and wire to make seven unique garlands for a fairy play my children were in ... blank headbands and barrettes, glue sticks, glue guns, ribbon and bows and plastic glamour gems for a DYI hair accessories birthday party for my one daughter and wooden beads, rainbow twine, clasps, charms and links for a DIY jewelry birthday party for my other daughter. ... glass vials, little wooden treasure chest for various uses ... I even got knobs with tree designs for my husband's dresser drawers one Father's Day. This is our one-stop-shop for any supplies to facilitate my children's artist endeavors: easels, canvases, paints, brushes & sponges, colored pencils, sharpie markers, heavy stock sketch journals. My kids are huge fans of Hobby Lobby too, especially for the Ty Beanie Boos released each holiday (all five are serious collectors) and Easter decorations we call "little chickens" we put all over our mantle every spring. They are so cute! The instrumental Christian music played throughout the store gives a comforting sense of nostalgia and is a nice contrast to the typical Muzak we're subjected to most anywhere else. I decided to try to locate enough skeins to make a chunky blanket. I guess everyone else was thinking the same and there was not enough in my color selection. Hobby Lobby is huge enough to provide a variety in products. However, I dont think they can keep up with the demand of the store. I used to go to Hobby Lobby 1-2 times a week for Alumilite epoxy, and of course always ended up getting $50-100 more merchandise while I was there. But now you have the epoxy permanently on sale for 20% off, so I can no longer use a coupon. So by saving the store $6 you have lost all my extra spending since I now go to Michaels to make these purchases. Doesn't seem like a smart business move to me!?!? read more

I love Hobby Lobby :) They always have weekly specials featuring items that are 30-40% off, and they have a big clearance section on the back left side of the store. The staff is friendly and helpful but not in-your-face. They also accept their online coupon for 40% off one item (however, this doesn't include items that are already on sale). People talk about Hobby Lobby being more expensive, but really, I shop at Michaels and AC Moore too... And Hobby Lobby is just as affordable if you scope out the sales. I love this place. I come here almost every time I'm in Central Park. Very large store with an even larger variety and selection of products. I also love that they aren't expensive and are right next to my two other favorite stores. I haven't really had to interact with many employees here but the cashiers I have checked out with have been very nice. I prefer this store to michaels any day of the week. read more

Addicting!!! This store really does make time stand still. They have soooo much to look at, and have something for everyone. My husband tells me I cannot be trusted in Hobby Lobby and that is so true. Even if I don't need anything I always find something that catches my eye and I have to have. Everything in this place is more expensive then most other places that are comparable. But they also sell a few things I can't find in other craft stores. Today I spent a lot of time searching several employees hurried past. Finally I stopped one. She wasn't able to help but walked me to the end of an isle pointed out a man in a white shirt and tie. He watched as she pointed him out. I walked over to him said hi. And he walked away. They can keep their over priced items and bad attitudes. So far, so good with this store. The sales circulate weekly and it seems that if a certain thing isn't on sale one week, it will usually be on the next. Although I find myself driving toward Hobby Lobby on a Sunday, I like that they are closed on Sundays to allow their employees time with family. That says a lot about a company too me. I ordered a friends wedding gift online & was able to save a lot with promo codes & already low prices. I then received it & sadly their was a mistake with how they wrapped the frames so the glass was shattered. I was not looked forward to the tale chase I was expecting. Once I called about 2 weeks after delivery & with very little explaining they simply asked for order number found in the box & asked if I wanted a new one or money. Then set up new deliver day, which had quick turn around. As for the broken frame they asked if I could reply to the email they sent with a picture of the frame & how it was packaged so they could learn from their mistake & they said if they want the frame back that they would have someone pick it up. So very convenient with the understand that if they make a mistake they should do all the heavy lifting & make things easy. Love love love this company. read more

Hobby lobby is a big chain, but has a great selection of scrap booking paraphernalia -especially in their rubber stamp selection. Of all of the places that I have looked for models in this area, this place is the only one that has them! From trains to cars and ships and trucks, this place has a lot of different models for anything you may want to build. They also carry an assortment of glues, paint and even professional grade air paint guns. I recommend this place to anyone who wishes to build a model. read more

When visiting the Central Virginia area visiting family awhile back so I thought I'd try Hobby Lobby and found them to be a fairly nice store and well stocked. So when I went back to home in CA it was then when I found out they don't give discounts to military, seniors, teachers or students although Michaels, JoAnn's and AC Moore not only takes Hobby Lobby coupons but also gives the discounts to those listed (military, seniors, students, teachers) . Hobby Lobby will ONLY use their own coupons but the other stores all accept each others coupons including Hobby Lobby's. Prices average, good selection and staff decent.When they change the policies, then I'll start spending my money there again. There's plenty of other hobby stores to go to in the area but this one I won't be. read more

Hobby Lobby is the very best place to go to buy wrapping paper after Christmas. I bought some after Christmas a couple of years ago. Love the paper and I recommend the store to all my friends. Last year the paper was 60% off the day after Christmas. I will be going there tomorrow!!! Price is very reasonable for what you get! read more
