This was originally a community center platform, but it's grown exponentially. That has caused this to be masses everywhere, and do be careful if you decide to drive in here. I do like the bookstore, but I don't want to go in here anymore. I'm glad the suburban folks have this, but I miss the days where this community, was far more laid back. Central Park is a mess.

They have a large parking lot with four EV charging stations located close to the Macy's entrance and they are very popular, always occupied . for Tesla vehicles yes you do need to bring your charging adapter. We went to check out and the line went way into the store itself. There were 25-30 people ready to checkout! What a joke! There was ONE CASHIER for all these people. The cashier wasn't in any hurry at all! She was taking her sweet time checking people out. When it was clear we would be in line for at least an hour we just left our cart and left the store! Fast forward a couple months and once again we went to Gabe's for some good deals. NOT a good idea! Once again we went to checkout and we encountered the same damned thing! A competitor's "shoes" sign caught my eye as I needed to replace a pair of comfy shoes that had disintegrated earlier in the day. No luck. We then found JCPenney in the mall. Jackpot! JCPenney had a great selection of shoes to choose from, was well-stocked in various sizes, AND was already running some Black Friday promotions a week before Thanksgiving. I picked up a pair of comfy Liz Claiborne pewter-colored flats for $24.99, marked down from $60. Extra bonus? They're memory foam. We checked out, and were headed to the door when my husband noticed an old favorite Fisher Price toy ... See and Say, The Farmer Says, which would be a good present for a nephew. So, it was back to the check-out line for us. $19.99. Not on sale. We checked out again, when I noticed some really cute slippers. Wouldn't they be great for Sue, and for Cindy, and for Misty, and for ... on those cold floors on winter nights? and, what a bargain, $4.99 each instead of the marked $10 each! So, it was back to the check-out line for a third, and final, time. A few final notes. The store was well-organized, and staff that we interacted with were pleasant and helpful.
