Kohl's used to be my store. If I was looking for something Kohls would give me several options to choose from. Now their clothes are dated and puritan conservative. Unless you are buying a specific brand like Nike then it's like a 1950's retired school teacher. The staff is mediocre and outside of my Amazon returns I dont have a need to go there anymore. I did not shop through the whole store, so this is specific to the shoe department. I came in to buy shoes to travel home in that I saw advertised online and based visit off sale information I wanted to purchase. Women's section was unorganized and messy. Lots of empty boxes and empty shelves. I couldn't find dale items that I went there for. When I got to register item was a different code. I would have went somewhere different if it was due to time constraints. Not well stocked for shoes. The person at register was nice but said there was nothing she could do. Efficient staff at this location! I made an online order, and it was ready for me before I even got there. Granted I was driving from work, but that was only about a thirty minute drive! There was a greeter at the door who directed me to the area to pick up my online order, and I was out in three minutes flat! Only downfall is that only part of my order was ready, and I was unaware that the other part would have to be shipped to the store. read more

If you're in the area, bored or waiting for someone to come out of Best Buy and just so happen to land in this Kohls, I guess it's okay. It's definitely not my favorite. The store doesn't usually have good deals and I've found things cheaper at other Kohls stores than this one. The employees aren't very outgoing so I just go in, look and leave most of the time. The clearance area is usually a hot mess of clothes and random stuff just shoved in a corner somewhere. If I had to, I would go to one of the other locations or shop early in the morning. read more

Lady working the jewelry department was very rude and disrespectful. She left her department just to walk over to me at online pick up and tell me the line starts somewhere else, while there was NO ONE ELSE in line so it didn't matter if I stood by the pickup container or 20 feet away on a sticker. The best place to find women's clothing deals. Of course, the Kohl's cash keeps you coming back, but there are some great "under $10" finds if you're patient and filter through the sale sections. This location has the best selection over Kohl's stores in Culpeper and Charlottesville. But don't tell too many people or the racks will be empty faster. Shhhhh! Go during the week and it's not too crowded and you can take your time. read more

This review isnt so much about Kohls products per say since "most" are the standard overseas sweatshop variety that shrinks or falls apart anyway. Obviously there are outliers to that broad brush statement so dont lambast me. This review in particular is about the bathroom here. You put me at any spot in a particular town and I'll let you know where the best public bathroom is located for times when that mood hits you. Only downside about this bathroom is its located completly in the back of the store ... but once inside its an oasis... my own personal ivory tower. I've done so many things in my life that at one time or another could have embarrased me but running like a Kenyan sprinting for the finish line through the store for the sweet comfort of this bathroom will never embarass. Rude and slow employees! I seem to find myself having to bite my tongue when I shop at this location. There are enough employees in the store but only one working the register. I am not an impatient person, but if every time I shop here I have to wait 15 to 20 mins to checkout, there's a problem. I have also noticed that the older employees are the rude ones. read more

The store is always clean and well-stocked. However, it's very difficult to find anyone to help you and when you do, it seems like it's an inconvenience that they're being asked to give customer service on the floor. Further, the staff member usually isn't very knowledgeable. But if you're ok shopping without customer service, you'll find what you need in a nice location and decent prices. read more

I ordered some shoes online and when I received them, they were too big. I returned them at Kohls and wanted to exchange vice return - they could only give me a refund. I then ordered another pair online at the Kohls website. I then decided that I wanted to cancel the order. Looking at the Kohls website, their guidance was that one could cancel their order within the first thirty minutes. We called five minutes after placing the order and after getting a confirmation email from Kohls that gave us an order number. The phone representative could not find our order and after my wife was on the phone for over twenty minutes, they finally found our order (after the 30 minutes had elapsed.) They then told us we could no longer cancel the order - but - would have to return it to the local Kohls for a refund. The rep said she would mark our order as being able to have the shipping refunded - we will wait and see. Customer Service is an oxymoron to this company - they have no clue. read more

I wish there was a way to leave 0 stars for this location. I was there last night to purchase some new clothes for an event and I was treated absolutely terrible. The employees were rude and the management team is even worse. Lets start with the fact the store was chaos as other customers were trying to receive assistance as well and there were no employees to be found, when we finally found one they smelled of cigarettes so they were clearly outside taking breaks while customers were waiting to be helped. Even when they were finally inside helping they were NOT friendly about it. I asked to speak with a manager and some lady came out all huffy puffy and asked what my issue was. I let her know I had been waiting around for help and when I finally received help it wasn't helpful. She proceeded to tell me they were busy and I let her know her employees were busy smoking and she actually snickered like she didn't care. I want everyone who reads these to know how incredibly rude this location is and you should just take your money and go to one of the other wonderful places in town to shop. As for the other locations I don't know how they are but I can assure you if they are run by the same kind of management team then spend your money where its appreciated because they surely don't appreciate it at the Kohl's in Central Park Fredericksburg.
