This location is going downhill. The location is short staffed and the staff working is clearly over worked. The check out lines are always long. I pressed the help button in self checkout and no one came. The door alerted when I was leaving at my last visit, and no one came to make sure that I didn't leave any clothing tags on my items or anything. It was so odd. I waited at the door, walked back in the store, and then alerted the door again to get staff's attention. No one ever came and after a while of waiting at the door, I left. I walked slowly to my car with my full receipt in my hand just in case. No one ever came. read more

I went in to purchase a few things after work. Wasn't feeling well and decided to grab some ingredients for a hot toddy. The self check out is convenient. I purchased Jim bean which required a code and for them to scan my ID. The attendant was to the immediate left of me, helping an older couple with coupons or something. My light was flashing as she continue to help everyone else. I had to get her attention for assistance.. she walks over and says just trying to keep up. But that clearly wasn't the case. I watched her immediately attend to everyone else. Her comment was unnecessary as it was obvious she was ignoring me. She didn't even remove the security device from the bottle. Do NOT the Pre-Paid Visa gift cards!! Bought this at Target, when my daughter went to spend it, the card declined. Upon investigation, the money had been spent in California once we activated the card. Target will not help, Visa will not help. Do NOT purchase one of these cards. I purchased four air fryers for gifts through the drive-up and noticed that one of the boxes was damaged and sounded different from the others. The contents were loose inside and did not have any protective styrofoam. The item had obviously been used and returned. While I normally rate Target as a five-star store, this location fell down a notch in this instance because of the inconvenience of having to make a return. I do maintain that Target is a great company with excellent service and great prices! read more

I tell you from the checkout to the pharmacy, The Fairview Heights Target has some of the friendliest people working there. I enjoy the friendly customer service throughout the Target store. Horrible Christmas experience with this Target. Went to Target the Friday before Christmas. The young man that helped us was amazing and I was overjoyed with his service. I wish I could remember his name because he was awesome. We purchased a game for a Nintendo Switch and the family membership for the switch and a few other odds and ends, that night. On Christmas we gave the family membership card to our daughter for her switch. This is when we realized the code was supposed to be on the receipt for the membership activation. It was not on the receipt. The day after Christmas I call Target to see if they have any suggestions. I spoke to a person named Michael in electronics. I told him the situation and he said to call Nintendo. I called Nintendo and their website even states for customers to talk to the retail store. When I called back to get help I couldn't get anyone to take my call they would just hang up. I called one last time and got someone. I told him I wanted to speak with the manager he stated that the manager wouldn't be back in until the following day. He kept talking over me and I finally had to raise my voice to get him to leave my number for the manager. He proceeded to tell me this was my issue and No one would be able to help me at Target. I just requested my number be left. He said he would but I did not receive a call. So, he either didn't leave it or his manager decided I wasn't worth his time. I went to Target corporate and they finally assisted me online. I was able to get a resolution 3 days later. I will never go to this target location again. I felt as if my business doesn't matter to them. So, I will either purchase online for Target or use Amazon for my items going forward. read more

This is a clean and well-staffed Target. I stop here from time to time during my lunch hour if I need a quick Target run. The only real complaint I would make is that this Target does not have the same plentiful inventory that a west St. Louis County Target would have. I was at this Target on a Thursday and a West County Target on a Friday and there is no comparison. This one is lacking. I'll certainly return though. read more

Clean, easy access. HOWEVER don't bother trying to order online and pick up at the store. Have tried it twice now - both times online showed all items in stock and available. Got confirmation email, available and should be able to pick up in approximately 2 hrs ... 3 hrs later another email that part of order ready, but other items no longer available at that location - had to switch to part of order at this location and part at Target miles away .. wasted SO MUCH time and extra$$ driving then waiting in line AT TWO locations!! Learned my lesson -- shop 2 days earlier, order from Amazon and won't have to run around town instead will get it delivered through Prime free to my front door AND most likely cheaper!!! read more

Yeah, I know. A Target is a Target is a Target. Well, pretty much. The Fairview Heights location is better than the Brentwood Blvd. (Mo.) location (because the parking there sucks) and the Hampton Ave. (Mo.) location (because that store just feels a little dirty). I used to frequent the Missouri Targets because they were closer to my downtown home and on the way to friends' houses. However, the FH Target is just way too convenient now - literally 60 seconds from my boyfriend's apartment. This location is pretty darn bright and clean, and it just feels... new. It's hardly ever out of stock on the things I need, and the cashiers are pretty friendly. Moreover, I've been on crutches since December 1, and I'm happy as hell that their weirdo motor scooter thingies are always charged and ready to go. This Target's clearance items aren't discounted much and the red-tag selection isn't great, but that's nitpicky. Generally speaking, this location feels like a Tar-jhay instead of a Target. read more

Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT use the drive up service!!! I went today for 2 orders, only received 1! I had to go back to pick up the second order! Not my mistake, THEIRS!! It would have been nice had they offered to deliver it since they made the mistake. Oh no!! All on me! One item I ordered was a NEW coffee maker.....right! It is USED!!! Does anyone want to help fix the issue? Nope! Wont even answer the phone!!! This Target just keeps going downhill! Time to find a new store! read more

Two stars is generous for this location...never more than two or three lanes open...difficult to find items and staff is awful. I had to wait while two employees finished their conversation before either of them would assist me in customer service and rather than honor their mislabeled and incorrectly placed merchandise they had me hunt for the item and sign to obtain the correct price. After searching for well over fifteen minutes I gave up...paid the higher price and left the store. I will stick with the Belleville location from now on...never once have I had any issues with their store. Seriously unhappy. read more

I will NEVER shop here again. This store has gone downhill in the last year. The manager, Jenn, should not be running that store at all. I called to get hardware to a crib, that was a gift from my mother and grandmother and it was purchased at Target, and was told to bring the crib back to the store. I told them I did not have a receipt as it was a gift, they still told me to bring it in. I did. I then waited over 20 minutes to have a stock guy come get the crib off of my truck to take it in so they could scan the item. I was then told by the manager, JENN, that it must have been bought from Goodwill because they do not sell that crib anymore and told me I was a liar. (If that is the case, why did the Target in West Belleville take the crib back?) after telling the manager that this crib was purchased at Target and she continuing to tell me no it was not, I decided to leave with my crib and find another way to get the hardware, that stated on the box that it all was included. The manager would not let me wheel the crib out, but would not call for someone to take it out of the store either, so needless to say, your customer had to walk out of the store with a baby crib and put it in her truck alone. Why would you sell a baby crib with not 1 piece of hardware in the box nor help the customer to locate hardware to make it right? That is COMPLETELY UNSAFE as the right tools and parts would not be purchased to build a safe crib for my son. All I wanted was hardware and she acted as though I had stolen the crib from somewhere and was trying to return it. I JUST WANTED A SAFE CRIB FOR MY CHILD. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN and I will drive clear out of my way to avoid this store at all cost. Completely rude service!!! Customers should not feel like this when they leave a store and a customer should not be treated this way what so ever. I should have been able to get an answer on the hardware not been told that it wasn't sold there continuously. read more

I've been to most of the targets in the area and know a great deal of the workers. I have little to complain about. However, there are a few workers that I sometimes question why they work there, but I suppose everyone needs to make due. But I suggest they take care of their troubled workers. The buildings are clean and the workers make quick hast to spots that need clened. read more

Today is the day I realized that Target is becoming more and more like a Walmart. I started going to Target for all my needs because it seemed like the employees cared to be there and were willing to help even though you tend to pay more sometimes. Depending on what time you go and what day you go you get different staff and experiences. Maybe it's super busy or their short staffed. I get it I have worked in retail before. But on Saturday I came to do a pickup they couldn't find my order. They seemed more worried about if so and so picked it then helping out the customer. I was in a hurry and had places to go and no time waiting around for them to play the blame game. They didn't even look in the back for my order finally I asked if I could just grab my order off the floor and be done. By the time I got my items and was heading back to the front they had found my order in the back. Now today I watched as they blew off another customer while I was checking out so they could have a personal conversation at the front. Really??? So as I'm done checking out and ready to go pickup an online order one of the girls that was having a personal conversation came over to the service desk. There was another employee up there and ask this girl to help me so she could help another associate with a task that needed to be done. She made a big fuss about how she was busy and couldn't stay over there to watch the desk and help. I get my items and She tells me I could just use my bags I already had and shove my online orders into them. Fabric freshener with food is a no in my book. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't like my food tasting like fresh linen. So I asked for a bag and she made a big deal about that. So I'm sorry Target for expecting more but I think most of us do. It's all about the employees you have to run your busy and take care of the customer not their social life. read more
