My wife and I came on Wednesday, 1/9/2019 to this location , we were going to buy a fisher price kick & play piano gym and other kids items arround 16:45hrs , we had "the manager" Elfin "helping us" on the cash register, then when my wife asked about a different price that was posted on Target online on the piano gym and showed Elfin "the manager", he told us we needed to go downstairs to another department to match price, I rejected to go downstairs so I told my wife we should leave and decided we didn't want to purchase it anymore because Target doesn't honor its prices; we started walking out and Elfin "the manager" told us he actually don't have to honor any price Target shows on internet mentioning his general manager gets upset with him if he does it. I ask Elfin "the manager" to speak with a manager, he answered "I am The Manager" so I asked for the general manager, he said with an attitude "He left already". I recommend this General manager to train his managers more appropriately on customer service and to Target to honor it's prices, my humble opinion. No more of my business to this stores because they don't value us as customers. read more

A ginormous Target located in Escondido! Whodathought? Sometimes when you travel, you need a nearby Target to buy last minute stuff. The one closest to our hotel was 15 minutes away. Quite frankly, after a day of amusement parks, who wants to drive 15 minutes to buy stuff? Luckily for us, this Target was located at the foot of the SD zoo safari so on our way back to SD, we made a pit stop here. This is a pretty well organized and neat Target. At 3 stories it's also well stocked. I didn't get a chance to explore the rest of the mall but it looks impressive as well. read more

It has been awhile since I have been to the mall. I knew they replaced the old tenet years age but never stopped in. It is larger than other Targets so the selections is a little better. They have free WiFi which is awesome. It is open pretty late, 11 pm, so it is great for any last minute needs from clothing to light bulbs to milk. They have a grocery area like other locations. Walked by but did not stop to check out there selection or prices. One can go to the mall now and pick up almost anything in one location. Not a fan of the parking lot. Best time is early when they open or late in the evening when most of the mall is closed down. read more

Near my new home. First visit. Friendly cashier. Clean, large store with 3 stories and cart escalators that make shopping easy. However - women's clothing selection and styles were unattractive and extremely limited. LOTS of bare shelves at every section. I couldn't find some very basic seasonal and home supplies. I'm not really sure why other people say this store is horrible, understaffed or that it has bad customer service. This is the first time I've ever been to this store and it was to return some items. The guy at the customer service counter was super friendly and processed our returns without any problems. There were plenty of employees and everything was clean and in order. I needed a band aid for an emergency and we did not have any in the family purse. Then I remembered Target has a bunch of items and should have a band aid. I quickly ran or walked fast to Target and asked where the band aids are located at. The employees were very helpful, and this store is so big it still took a minute to get to the exact aisle where the band aids and first aid items are shelved. Thank fully, I was able to get what was needed and quickly return to my family and apply the needed band aid. Thanks for Target for carrying everything. I love shopping at Target. I needed to pick up a few things like facial cleanser, Dove soap, etc. This location is pretty big. There's three levels. I pretty much find everything I need here. I also picked up a couple of things for my daughter. She always finds something she likes in this Target. It was pretty busy when I got to the check out. The self check out was even longer in the line. They managed to open up a couple more registers. My line went fairly quickly. I had to bag my four items that I purchased. Don't forget to bring your bags. I was lucky that I had a bag from the Sanrio store and put my items in that bag. The only negative here would be the long lines at checkout. There's so many items to find at Target. They even have a small grocery section. I love shopping here. Who doesn't? You end up saving money here. Having a Target Visa card saves you 5% in your total purchase. Not bad. I'd definitely come back here. read more

Came to this target to buy some sandwich meat on Wednesday 7/24/2019 to pack some sandwiches for a trip to Disneyland the following day. Once I got home to make the sandwiches I noticed that the meat was a little discolored (i bought the market pantry kind) so I looked at the expiration date and it was expired! So disappointing, called customer service and they weren't much help either no apology or anything. Good thing I looked at the date or we all could've all had a bad stomach ache. Now I know to look at all expiration dates before buying. read more

Normally target will adjust their pricing if their pricing is wrong. Unfortunately because of the location of this one Daniel would not adjust the posted price. I say that because I've never had an issue with them adjusting a price if they priced it incorrectly. I think it maybe because this is a busy target Daniel refuses to price adjust tho it was clearly marked. I was a little bothered that he showed little to no concern that I asked him why it was an issue this time. It hardly happens to me but I've never seen an employee with such hesitation and slight arrogance say there's "nothing you can do I control this area." More than anything I hope Daniel improves his customer service his arrogance is off putting instead he could have shown concern and maybe asked someone else or he could have easily just reviewed and it was clearly marked at a lower price and adjust. read more

Okay its hit or miss here. Depends on time of year ect. I was hitting up the whole mall for back to school shopping and usually at least check out the clearance in here. Its split into three levels and there were a lot of on sale racks. I would not ever make this my regular target since the lines are usually long, and it's just not as good of pickings as the stand alone stores. I wonder at times if I am not a flexible person and am not able to adapt.Shopping at this Target made me feel confused and not able to adapt to a multi-level store. I entered the store on one level. Some of the items that I was shopping for were not on the level that I was on. So I had to wheel my Mom's wheel chair to the elevator to go from one floor to the other. Then I realize that another item that we needed to purchase was back on the level that we had just left. And we head back to the elevator to go back up and down in the elevator. I think that we did this several times. Until I put a stop to this nonsense and time waster of elevator trips. I reorganized my list to things that I didn't need in the next day. All items that were not needed would not be purchased that day. We checked out with less than five items. Then got back on the elevator to get back to the level that we needed to be on in order to get back to the car. I think that future trips would really need to mean pre-planning the shopping list by floor levels. read more

Typical Target, convenient because its attached to the mall, but for that same reason, items can also be out of stock, especially when there's a good sale going on and also because it looks like hard-core couponers frequent here cause I can never find anything left on the shelf when there's a couponing deal going on...There are 3 stories to this Target, which trips me out. I spent one whole afternoon going up and down the escalators cause I kept forgetting to pick something up in certain departments. I always park at the Target entrance and while it can get crowded, I've always found parking spots there. read more

Excellent experience with a staff member named Justin. He was busy stocking shelves several isles away from me and he noticed my puzzled look. He asked if I needed help and he dropped everything to walk me over to where he thought the item was. After I told him thank you and suggested I could handle it from here he left but took it a step further. He searched in another section for the item I was looking for. He found it and ran up to tell me where it was and even brought it to me! Just another example of how one highly engaged employee can blow a customer away and set a location up for success. This Target has alot of great stuff, but the staff needs a serious attitude readjustment. I don't like how they treat customers, often times treating it like a chore to help a customer navigate the store. It isn't a chore, its their job. Returns here are always a hastle, go to a different target. I like the grocery store and I like the pharmacy and that is why I still come here. If the poway location was a little closer to me I would totally only go there. read more

Wow, I thought two story Target stores were amazing... until I came to this Target and found myself on the third level! This brand new Target is extremely clean and has numerous registers to check out from on each floor. Very, very nice. I came to return a broken air mattress, and had no issues. It was however, a little bit more expensive than the original Target I had purchased it from? No biggie. The oooonly issue I had was that parking here was absolutely terrible!! My girlfriend and I parked soo far away and the parking lots are just downright dangerous! So be careful if you're walking around at night in the lot right out front. read more

This is probably the worst target in San Diego. Their customer service is awful. I never really had a bad opinion about this target until I encountered the employees on the third floor in electronics. That fact that they are a bit disorganized did not bother me. Where do I start. I came here to purchase a console from the electronics department and asked an employee where the console was. He did not even try to lead me to the area, he simply pointed in some direction so that I could go find it myself. Second, It states in Targets corporate policy that they do price match with certain companies and websites. Newegg is listed on the corporate website of places they price match with. I asked them if they will honor this for me and they simply looked at me like I was speaking another language and said "I don't know what targets you go to but we don't price match here". And then he laughed. I was furious. I went down to my favorite target in San Diego, Del Sur and confirmed with them that target does price match. I then went back to this Escondido target and proved them wrong, in which then they honored the price match. Unbelievable how rude and impatient their employees are. I am a huge Target fan in general. This store is handy to my where I live and get off the freeway, so I am very pleased that it has opened up. It is nice to be able to get milk, cereal, and coffee, etc without having to go out of my way to get it. Problems: I have had check out clerks forget to give me the stuff I have paid for more than once. Now I watch them and check their area to make sure I have what I am paying for. This Target is gargantuan! It's three stories high which is already a mission in itself, lol. The store as a whole is clean and organized, for the most part; everything was in its right place. Makes things really easy to find and differentiate between departments. I shop here semi-frequently; the fact that they put it in the mall makes it really convenient to satisfy both my high end and drugstore makeup needs, along with quick grocery errands. read more

This target has a really good location at the mall. It's right off the freeway as well so it's easy to get to. This target also has a Starbucks inside if you are craving some coffee. This target is 3 stories. It has the escalators that you can bring up or down your shopping carts. This place has pretty much everything you need. They sell a lot of different types of things here. They have a pharmacy too. This is one of the closer targets where I live so I come here often. I usually park near target whenever I go to the mall so I enter the mall through target. I like having the option of leaving through target so if I need anything I can get it at target before going home. read more

I was at this Target this week and felt extremely targeted and discriminated against by the General Store Manager, Carrie Van DeWould (spelling?). While the store had signs up for toilet papers and flushable wipes purchase limitation, they had no signs anywhere for other sanitary items. We have 3 bathrooms and a kitchen, so I purchased 2 sets for each bathroom and my kitchen for a birthday party tomorrow and given the fact that my house will be full of small nieces and nephews running around and having to wash our hands more during this coronavirus time. Since there were no signs up, I based my purchase on my situation and needs for the weekend and to last me the next couple weeks, and was being reasonable. However, she chased me down the aisle and then again when I was at the register to embarrass me. She over used her power to target her customers. She approached me unprofessionally and rudely said, "You can only purchase one of each item, HUN!" I was in customer service for 10 years and we learned that we never approach customers and addressing them as "HUN". This is the worse insult any store manager can make a customer feel. She kept using the excuse that someone kept taking down the sign, as if I can read invisible signs and should have known that someone else took down the signs. I am a customer and her store policy was not clearly defined. I have no problem with any store's policies, but it needs to be clearly stated and if it was not stated, their managements need to approach their customers on a professional level and not "fish market" style of customer service. I felt like I was shopping at low end downtown ghetto service store. Then I've shared my bad customer experience with my daughter and she informed me that the security at this store stopped her and her friend on another day and falsely outright accused her of stealing and made them let him check in their bags. He came up to my daughter and her friend and outright falsely accused them of stealing, "Put back the items you've just stolen!!!" Then he couldn't find the items he was looking for in their purses. This is not acceptable and can turn into a lawsuit! They better be careful with their false accusations on minors especially. The worse customer service experience I've ever had anywhere! read more

I first have to start off with how much I love target! I prefer this target location over the Auto Parkway target. This one seems cleaner and less ghetto. And it's really convenient when you're already at the mall. Employees are friendly. First floor is like the drugstore/ grocery store part of target. It also has the Starbucks and snack area. Photo center is first floor (they don't develop the old disposable cameras!) Second floor is clothes, accessories and shoes. Third floor is electronics, toys, and house stuff. Second floor has a few cash registers. Sometimes, if it's too busy, I'll go downstairs to get rung up since there are more registers on the first floor. The parking in front of target is often full when the mall is busy, but there are always people leaving target., so it doesn't hurt to wait around. I love target. Can't really complain much about this one! read more

Your typical Target with all you typical Target needs. Except it's 3 stories, don't worry your carts can ride alongside with you on the escalator. The store is well kept and employees are always super nice and helpful. The few things I'm not too fond of is the parking situation, it's at a mall so as a regular Target is always busy multiply that by 3. Also the prices are slightly higher due to the higher rent cost of being at the mall. I only shop at this location for convenience, if I was already at the mall and needed to go to Target. read more

Picked up a few things at this Target on the way out of the mall today. It is great having a Target inside of a mall, being able to pick up a few grocery items while you are already out and not have to make another stop. What an awesome store. Something about new stores makes me happy. 3 stories of awesomeness. It might be the same size as other Targets but the 3 stories just makes it more fun to shop. The associates all look happy to be at work and willing to help. When I've asked for help they help and if they can't answer my question they get on their little walkie talkie to get an answer. I will however, stay away from this location after Thanksgiving. I bet the mall will be twice (if not thrice) as busy for the Holidays with Target there. read more

On 4/25 at 7:30pm, I went to Target to get a card for a friend because it's the best place to get it. I had to go to the restroom and of course the restroom was a mess, but I had to go. I pick the first stall and there is no toilet paper! How do you provide restrooms for your guests and there is no toilet paper?! I talk to the manager and he states "sorry about that" and again "sorry about that." He explains how the cart worker quit all of a sudden. Yet, his cashiers were chit chatting with him before I approached him. He also states he is a Male and he cannot go in to the women's restroom and anytime he tries to replenish the toilet paper there is always a female in the restroom. He has many female workers who could of helped in this situation. He is a manager! read more
