Target advertised exclusive BTS merchandise, albums, and accessories releasing today, March 20th. They even promoted displays showing where items would be available. I understand that each Target location may vary, but this store had no display and the employees didn't seem informed about what BTS fans would be looking for--especially the highly sought‑after light stick. I arrived at 7:20AM and waited in line. When the store opened, an employee directed us to line up at Customer Service along with people waiting for Pokémon cards. I asked if this was also the line for BTS merchandise, and he said yes. But when I reached the counter and asked for a BTS light stick, I was told those were actually in the back at Electronics. Customer Service only had vinyls and CDs. By the time I got to Electronics, all the light sticks were gone. The lack of communication among employees was incredibly frustrating. Target, please do better and be prepared next time--BTS ARMY shows up, and we expect clear information and organization. read more

I am handicap. I have two broke bones in my foot. I live in the area. I go there to get my medication because I love the pharmacist, but they are so racist at the store I asked for help. I asked two associates tonight for help They looked at me didn't answer and walked off. I had to literally walk to the front and call for a manager. I rang the bell for Service. No one came in the men's department to get T-shirts. I have never been treated good at the store. I've been racially, profiled and treated nasty and horrible. Some of the items I bought tonight had a tag saying three dollars and when I got up to the front, I was charged five dollars. The signage is in the wrong place always. The only thing good I could say about this trip tonight. when I called the Manager he came over. He was 10 times better than the short Latin Manager that was there before this guy's Latin, but he was much nicer and made sure that someone helped me, but I had to walk back to the front and beg for help. read more

I stopped going to the La Mesa store near my house because they allow people to bring their pets in and they don't clean up after them. That store is just gross, the carts are disgusting and I have narrowly missed stepping in dog urine more than once. I've been to this location a couple times now and not once have I seen any people with pets inside, a good sign. The service here is way better than the other stores I've been to, although the layout is pretty weird, some areas just feel like they're putting stuff out that they can't be bothered to place in a better location. There's plenty of parking and there's a GameStop in the same lot, so my kid approves. read more

But I am very disappointed this time around I placed an order for at home delivery on 10/18 that was supposed to arrive 10/20 as it was a gift for a baby shower on 10/23 and I STILL have not received my order. I called customer service and I was told there is no one that can help me as they are backed up with orders and the shoppers are on the floor. We found our item on the Target website and it was available only at the El Cajon store on Broadway. The item was listed on the website and it even showed what aisle to find it in. However, it was an in-store only purchase so we could not pay for it on the website. We arrived and our item was indeed in the listed aisle. It was a large, heavy item. A young woman (sorry, did not get her name) was quick to assist us. She grabbed a flatbed cart, loaded our item and led us to the customer service desk for checkout. While we were paying, the nice young woman recruited two additional co-workers to help load it into our car. Another nice young woman who's name I didn't catch and Bryce. We got to the car and the three hefted the thing into the backseat. They refused our help probably for liability reasons. Don't give me any generalizations about young people and lack of work ethic. On Black Friday, I bought the oculus quest three for my son. It sat in my trunk for about a week. My son knew he was getting it. It was an early Christmas present. He asked me if he could get the upgraded model. I agreed and on December 5 we took the original one back and asked if I could trade it in for the upgraded model. I had my receipt and it was still in the box unopened. For some strange reason, the serial number wasn't matching on the product and my receipt. Mike was the one helping me in returns. He was able to get someone else that was able to come over and put in an override and I was able to trade it in for the upgraded model. My son starts playing with it. He's had it for a couple of weeks almost and start telling me he's getting really bad headaches after 20 minutes of playing. I have my box I have all the parts I have the receipt so I decided to return the item. When I got there, Mike was there again and for some crazy reason I had the same problem with the serial numbers not matching. I do not know what is going on with their inventory and serial numbers, but I did my due diligence. I did my part and this was not my fault. So Mike basically refused to do my return and he was almost acting as if I am doing some kind of scam. He said to call guest relations which I did and they told me they were approving this return and they wanted me to go back in and put Mike on the phone. So I did that. Mike talked to them they told him to please do the return he said he would. He gets off the phone. He takes me back over to the customer service desk and then proceeded to tell me that he does not feel comfortable to do it And that I will have to come back and talk to a different manager the next day. I went to the target Santee and luckily the manager there was able to help me out. I do not know what is going on with the serial numbers and I know there are scammers out there, but that is not me. I bought this one item I had the box I had the receipt and Mike was treating me terribly. I do not recommend you buy electronics from target but if you do make sure your serial numbers match from the item and the receipt. In my research I found the Target web site and it said the scale was "IN STOCK" at the El Cajon store, and was out of stock at the Grossmont store. I'm closer to Grossmont but had to go to the El Cajon store. Not only were they "OUT OF STOCK," but there wasn't even a spot for it. The guy says "are you sure it wasn't internet only." It appears that it never existed in the El Cajon store. I look on the website again once I'm in the car (because all internet, at least for me, is lost once in the store), and lo and behold, it's "IN STOCK" in the Grossmont store. So I hoof it over to the Grossmont store. Where, you guessed it, IT WASN'T IN STOCK. Empty hanger. Son of a bitch. I find someone, he says it's out of stock. I told him that your website says it was in at the El Cajon location and this location. He looks and says "it's in stock in Lemon Grove!" I appreciate the optimism, but I can't share in it. I told him I'd already been to El Cajon and I'm not going to drive to Lemon Grove only to find they're out as well. I'm done, I'll buy it from amazon. Because I love Target I tried going the direct route with an email about my experience but Target wants me to call. Nope. I don't do the phone. Target, please update your website. Horrible customer service. The manager and worker at the exchange area were rude and disrespectful. They were very unprofessional and possibly didn't want to help me or gave me attitude either for the way that I looked or just judging me off my character. I would like this target to be investigated for not wanting to help their customers. I came in the morning when there aren't any other customers in the store but a lot of employees just standing around not wanting to help me. Some might ask why I did not bring back the bike but I all ready put it together, it won't fit in my car unless I take it back apart. Unfortunately, I've continually had frustrating experiences in here. The music and the bass was so loud it was very disturbing while I rolled my damaged cart through the store. You kept making one of those noises. I had been told the item was in stock, with plenty, but no, it wasn't there. To the late night cashier named Mary, bless your heart. You need to be appreciated more by your store. Multiple times Ive come in and you were the ONLY person checking customers out. Ive watched 2 times that the voucher tweakers walk out without paying. The funniest thing I heard was, "He does this everyday". This place is a damn joke and makes me not FEEL obligated to pay for anything. There needs to be a change in security or I will not be shopping here anymore whatsoever. Good luck shopping here they have completely locked up half of the personal items aisle. laundry soap is all locked up and body wash and hair care products are all locked up and deodorant and shaving creams and razors, and half of their vitamin isle. And i mean entire aisles not just a section. They can barely have enough people to be cashier upfront or self check out. I have come here many times and it will always take me 20 to 35 minutes to check out and now they do this where we have to physically push a button in order to grab an attendant to get laundry soap, or any of the items listed above, can only imagine how long that's going to take and add to the time of check out. I have decided to return to this store. After merchandise started being locked up, it seemed less of a hassle to order products online. The costs at Target are much better, though. Recently, I've been back in to Target in El Cajon a few times and what impressed me most was the customer service. They have an employee who shows up within minutes, sometimes seconds, to unlock the cabinets. Also I've noticed the employees at that location seem friendlier than employees at other nearby stores. I will bypass Grossmont Target because of that reason alone. And, good luck even finding an employee at some of Target's other locations. My thanks to management at the El Cajon location! So this is a smaller store then other Target stores but it's not bad. The staff is definitely not friendly and I say this because I passed about 10 employees and not one person greeted me or asked me if they could help me with anything. I just ran in for a few things and I knew where to go but I thought they were big on customer service. The other thing about this location is their self checkout, it's not really self checkout if you are paying with cash, each self checkout stand has a cash drawer and you need the attendant to come over and collect your payment and give you change. read more

I always enjoyed coming to this particular Target location. It is rarely crowded and the store is so well kept. The employees seem so much happier here compared to another nearby locations. The recent store remodel has made it a lot easier to find what your looking for; all you have to do is pay attention to the signage. This Target location is very limited on fresh meats and produce. They also have a limited selection of groceries. What I did discover is that the Target store near public colleges have a website where students can order online and get a 15% discount! They can then go to a store and pick up their order. How awesome is that?!!! I am rating this Target location a solid five star because it clean, organized and the customer service is awesome! read more

My husband and I just got back from your El Cajon store and I have to say I was completely disappointed that they do not care about the health and safety of their patrons and I will not be back. My money and my health and safety are more important than an establishment that does not practice mask enforcement. The El Cajon Target looks like something out of a third world country. I entered the store around 3 and 2 kids on an electric scooter were riding around in the store and they hit the end of the isles by the greetings cards. I told them to not ride in the store and one of the kids gave a smart ass response and kept going. I brought it to the attention of at least 5 employees and they all didn't seem to care or I assume are just used to that type of ridiculous behavior. The El Cajon Target store manager has absolutely no control of the store they are responsible for and should be reprimanded or fired. I told one of the employees I will never again shop in the store and it's disgraceful how little regard they have for their customers.
