I always enjoy shopping at this Target! The store has a great selection and I can usually find everything I'm looking for. The prices are reasonable, the store is clean and organized, and checkout is usually quick and easy. The employees are friendly and helpful whenever I need assistance. Great service, good value, and plenty of options. Definitely one of my favorite places to shop! read more

I was very disappointed with my experience here at this Target. I came to Guest Service on Wednesday around 6:30 pm and asked a young lady for assistance about an order that was put on hold for me from a third party app, Shipt. She wasn't understanding my request and went to the backroom to ask her coworkers about what I was asking for (i assume) and started calling me weird and laughing at me to them. I don't think she knew I heard her but I did and just said okay thank you and left. Very rude, VERY unprofessional. Never coming back here again. Target, do better. read more

Never been to this Target, and NEVER will again! The only reason I did was because it was just a few min from Parkway Plaza that I was at. Such a dump and in the ghetto! Out of the six items I went in for, five were under lock and key! NOT high end expensive items, just toothpaste, deodorant, lotion. That tells you everything! Had to wait around for someone to unlock these Safes! What was a five minute task, took me thirty minutes. Attention: Manager Get your shit together! I normally shop at the Target at Plaza Bonita, and there is none of this crap! Only reason I gave it one star was because the system made me! read more

Target advertised exclusive BTS merchandise, albums, and accessories releasing today, March 20th. They even promoted displays showing where items would be available. I understand that each Target location may vary, but this store had no display and the employees didn't seem informed about what BTS fans would be looking for--especially the highly sought‑after light stick. I arrived at 7:20AM and waited in line. When the store opened, an employee directed us to line up at Customer Service along with people waiting for Pokémon cards. I asked if this was also the line for BTS merchandise, and he said yes. But when I reached the counter and asked for a BTS light stick, I was told those were actually in the back at Electronics. Customer Service only had vinyls and CDs. By the time I got to Electronics, all the light sticks were gone. The lack of communication among employees was incredibly frustrating. Target, please do better and be prepared next time--BTS ARMY shows up, and we expect clear information and organization. read more

I got singled out and got asked to show receipt . The rudeness the customer service is here just because I'm a women of color and the dude was a. White bald employee. I used to come to this Target for stuffs that regular locations near my house didn't carry, in between 2018 to 2020, but now it seems a bit slow here, I couldn't find much interesting things to buy here anymore, oh I miss the time where I could find the entire Venom Marvel Legends wave here, I didn't even need to stop by the Gamestop next door, maybe it was just the 2nd week of the year, they still have to restock later hopefully. read more

I am handicap. I have two broke bones in my foot. I live in the area. I go there to get my medication because I love the pharmacist, but they are so racist at the store I asked for help. I asked two associates tonight for help They looked at me didn't answer and walked off. I had to literally walk to the front and call for a manager. I rang the bell for Service. No one came in the men's department to get T-shirts. I have never been treated good at the store. I've been racially, profiled and treated nasty and horrible. Some of the items I bought tonight had a tag saying three dollars and when I got up to the front, I was charged five dollars. The signage is in the wrong place always. The only thing good I could say about this trip tonight. when I called the Manager he came over. He was 10 times better than the short Latin Manager that was there before this guy's Latin, but he was much nicer and made sure that someone helped me, but I had to walk back to the front and beg for help. read more

I stopped going to the La Mesa store near my house because they allow people to bring their pets in and they don't clean up after them. That store is just gross, the carts are disgusting and I have narrowly missed stepping in dog urine more than once. I've been to this location a couple times now and not once have I seen any people with pets inside, a good sign. The service here is way better than the other stores I've been to, although the layout is pretty weird, some areas just feel like they're putting stuff out that they can't be bothered to place in a better location. There's plenty of parking and there's a GameStop in the same lot, so my kid approves. read more

But I am very disappointed this time around I placed an order for at home delivery on 10/18 that was supposed to arrive 10/20 as it was a gift for a baby shower on 10/23 and I STILL have not received my order. I called customer service and I was told there is no one that can help me as they are backed up with orders and the shoppers are on the floor. I understand a lot of places are short staffed as I also work in retail. I just want to know when I will receive my order or how I can possibly cancel it since it's still technically with the shipper being this target Hopefully someone can help ! read more

We found our item on the Target website and it was available only at the El Cajon store on Broadway. The item was listed on the website and it even showed what aisle to find it in. However, it was an in-store only purchase so we could not pay for it on the website. We arrived and our item was indeed in the listed aisle. It was a large, heavy item. A young woman (sorry, did not get her name) was quick to assist us. She grabbed a flatbed cart, loaded our item and led us to the customer service desk for checkout. While we were paying, the nice young woman recruited two additional co-workers to help load it into our car. Another nice young woman who's name I didn't catch and Bryce. We got to the car and the three hefted the thing into the backseat. They refused our help probably for liability reasons. Don't give me any generalizations about young people and lack of work ethic. We received excellent customer service from Target millennials. read more

This place sucks they offer price matching but don't even price match they only price match with what is in their "database" which is nothing girl at the tech department said she needed to scan the router for price matching and when she did she said all the locations said 169.99. On amazon (tp link) and Walmart both verified retailers not third party sellers Offered it at less than 90 I was told that they wouldn't be able to price match saying that Walmart and Amazon had the tplink ax4400 for 169.99 anyway long story short driving over to Walmart in La mesa to pay $82 for the same item they had at $169.99 and I'm getting it new lady at customer service desk was nice read more

On Black Friday, I bought the oculus quest three for my son. It sat in my trunk for about a week. My son knew he was getting it. It was an early Christmas present. He asked me if he could get the upgraded model. I agreed and on December 5 we took the original one back and asked if I could trade it in for the upgraded model. I had my receipt and it was still in the box unopened. For some strange reason, the serial number wasn't matching on the product and my receipt. Mike was the one helping me in returns. He was able to get someone else that was able to come over and put in an override and I was able to trade it in for the upgraded model. My son starts playing with it. He's had it for a couple of weeks almost and start telling me he's getting really bad headaches after 20 minutes of playing. I have my box I have all the parts I have the receipt so I decided to return the item. When I got there, Mike was there again and for some crazy reason I had the same problem with the serial numbers not matching. I do not know what is going on with their inventory and serial numbers, but I did my due diligence. I did my part and this was not my fault. So Mike basically refused to do my return and he was almost acting as if I am doing some kind of scam. He said to call guest relations which I did and they told me they were approving this return and they wanted me to go back in and put Mike on the phone. So I did that. Mike talked to them they told him to please do the return he said he would. He gets off the phone. He takes me back over to the customer service desk and then proceeded to tell me that he does not feel comfortable to do it And that I will have to come back and talk to a different manager the next day. I went to the target Santee and luckily the manager there was able to help me out. I do not know what is going on with the serial numbers and I know there are scammers out there, but that is not me. I bought this one item I had the box I had the receipt and Mike was treating me terribly. I do not recommend you buy electronics from target but if you do make sure your serial numbers match from the item and the receipt. Because something is wrong at the store and then they blame the customer. read more

Target, I love you. I really do. I love your diversity, I love your interesting products and commercials. But today, you ticked me off. I'm looking for a scale, a certain type of scale. In my research I found the Target web site and it said the scale was "IN STOCK" at the El Cajon store, and was out of stock at the Grossmont store. I'm closer to Grossmont but had to go to the El Cajon store. Not only were they "OUT OF STOCK," but there wasn't even a spot for it. The guy says "are you sure it wasn't internet only." It appears that it never existed in the El Cajon store. I look on the website again once I'm in the car (because all internet, at least for me, is lost once in the store), and lo and behold, it's "IN STOCK" in the Grossmont store. So I hoof it over to the Grossmont store. Where, you guessed it, IT WASN'T IN STOCK. Empty hanger. Son of a bitch. I find someone, he says it's out of stock. I told him that your website says it was in at the El Cajon location and this location. He looks and says "it's in stock in Lemon Grove!" I appreciate the optimism, but I can't share in it. I told him I'd already been to El Cajon and I'm not going to drive to Lemon Grove only to find they're out as well. I'm done, I'll buy it from amazon. Because I love Target I tried going the direct route with an email about my experience but Target wants me to call. Nope. I don't do the phone. Target, please update your website. And, if something is in stock for internet purchases only, please make that clear for those of us who haven't been using the internet since we were two. Ok? read more

Horrible customer service. The manager and worker at the exchange area were rude and disrespectful. They were very unprofessional and possibly didn't want to help me or gave me attitude either for the way that I looked or just judging me off my character. I would like this target to be investigated for not wanting to help their customers. I came in the morning when there aren't any other customers in the store but a lot of employees just standing around not wanting to help me. To top it off their attitude was horrible like they have been on drugs or something. Sounded snappy and agitated. Never will I return to this target again. read more

I had bought a kids huffy bike for my granddaughter and the peddles were missing so I took my receipt back to pick up a set of peddles. Some might ask why I did not bring back the bike but I all ready put it together, it won't fit in my car unless I take it back apart. I should not have to take it apart and do all the work if it is there problem. Just give me the peddles and we could have had a customer for life, now you don't. Do not shop their because if you have a problem like mine then they make it your problem. read more

I like the store but not the front employees so much hence still getting 3 stars. The last 2 times I've been here someone has said something rude or off putting so I've just left the items I was purchasing and walked out. I'm a grown, professional and don't want to be talked to like an idiot for trying to be polite. Also, if no one is allowed to purchase anything from a display while setting it up so they can send a picture to corporate then why not just do that during hours the store isn't opened? read more

Wow...just stopped here a couple weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful remodel! I'm not that much of a shopper so I don't notice the stuff other people might see, but suffice it to see that this store feels very clean and modern and it's much nicer than many other Targets I've been to. The employees were very nice and a couple stopped to ask me if they could help me find something. I felt very welcome. I would definitely stop by here next time I'm in the area! read more

(Reading the other reviews) Honestly, in the day of Covid... why are you going inside a Target and getting pissed? So I ordered some items online from Target today and they were ready for me to pick up in less then 2 hours! Younger guy worker met me in the parking lot immediately. Super fast, professional and polite. It was a toy/gift for my baby, so I immediately asked that he not say what it was and just "put the goods in the trunk" as the baby was with me. He understood. Happy face. I am just so thankful that there are good people out there still working. I will come to this Target again A+. This location is not trashy... Far from. but if your name is Cheyenne and you're in El Cajon.... you might be. Just saying. read more

Whoever idea it was to put in those glass lockups on the essentials that are personal care needs to be fired...

Unfortunately, I've continually had frustrating experiences in here. The music and the bass was so loud it was very disturbing while I rolled my damaged cart through the store. You kept making one of those noises. I had been told the item was in stock, with plenty, but no, it wasn't there. There was very little assistance, and I had to shout very loudly to get the attention of the retail worker. Her attitude was so jaded in lackadaisical. I've given this place too many chances--no more! And yet when I go to the la Mesa store, things seem to work out. read more

To the late night cashier named Mary, bless your heart. You need to be appreciated more by your store. Multiple times Ive come in and you were the ONLY person checking customers out. Ive watched 2 times that the voucher tweakers walk out without paying. The funniest thing I heard was, "He does this everyday". This place is a damn joke and makes me not FEEL obligated to pay for anything. There needs to be a change in security or I will not be shopping here anymore whatsoever. I feel scared that some transient is going to harm my family. Nobody does anything to prevent this. Im sad that the employees have to let people just walk out with clothes, beer, and other goods. This is a great example of how the police turn their nose to being any help to the community. read more

Good luck shopping here they have completely locked up half of the personal items aisle. laundry soap is all locked up and body wash and hair care products are all locked up and deodorant and shaving creams and razors, and half of their vitamin isle. And i mean entire aisles not just a section. They can barely have enough people to be cashier upfront or self check out. I have come here many times and it will always take me 20 to 35 minutes to check out and now they do this where we have to physically push a button in order to grab an attendant to get laundry soap, or any of the items listed above, can only imagine how long that's going to take and add to the time of check out. No longer shopping at target that was my second chance after what happened last time to target for me. (Boycott for insane clothing that went all over the US) read more

Hey how about you guys stop selling expired frozen meals. Second time I've bought something from this store that's expired. Annoying.

I have decided to return to this store. After merchandise started being locked up, it seemed less of a hassle to order products online. The costs at Target are much better, though. Recently, I've been back in to Target in El Cajon a few times and what impressed me most was the customer service. They have an employee who shows up within minutes, sometimes seconds, to unlock the cabinets. Also I've noticed the employees at that location seem friendlier than employees at other nearby stores. I will bypass Grossmont Target because of that reason alone. And, good luck even finding an employee at some of Target's other locations. My thanks to management at the El Cajon location! It starts with them. read more

I needed some new under shirts so I stopped by this target to pick some up on the way to lunch. I arrived midday on Sunday, and I was glad it was not to busy. (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/target-el-cajon-2?select=dcdwrd6oZWidhzpFBIsmoQ#dcdwrd6oZWidhzpFBIsmoQ) I was a able to find parking rather easily. My first impression was that this Target is not is not as large as most others. But, lucky for me they did carry a variety of undershirt brands. (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/target-el-cajon-2?select=dcdwrd6oZWidhzpFBIsmoQ#64-wH73lKJVXREK1zM7spg) Besides from Hane's and Fruit of the Loom, they also carry their own name brand Merona. I picked up a 3 pack of these because I remembered they fit me better. The 3 pack cost $12. The service was good. I was never asked if I needed any help, but I do not remember if they do that here. At any rate, the service at the register was good, and the girl did ask me how I was and asked if I found everything I needed. She was friendly and polite. So this is a smaller store then other Target stores but it's not bad. The staff is definitely not friendly and I say this because I passed about 10 employees and not one person greeted me or asked me if they could help me with anything. I just ran in for a few things and I knew where to go but I thought they were big on customer service. The other thing about this location is their self checkout, it's not really self checkout if you are paying with cash, each self checkout stand has a cash drawer and you need the attendant to come over and collect your payment and give you change. read more

I always enjoyed coming to this particular Target location. It is rarely crowded and the store is so well kept. The employees seem so much happier here compared to another nearby locations. The recent store remodel has made it a lot easier to find what your looking for; all you have to do is pay attention to the signage. This Target location is very limited on fresh meats and produce. They also have a limited selection of groceries. What I did discover is that the Target store near public colleges have a website where students can order online and get a 15% discount! They can then go to a store and pick up their order. How awesome is that?!!! I am rating this Target location a solid five star because it clean, organized and the customer service is awesome! read more
