Extremely disappointed with this target. This is the second time I ordered a video game and it said they had a good quantity there. I was getting it delivered and it took my money. It actually took more then it should of. The person that was going to deliver it text me that they didn't have it. Mind you this was both times when I ordered and completely different days. I tried calling the store and hitting every button and no one would pick up. I called customer service and they were no help whats so ever. So I ordered from best buy the first incident and got it that day and the second time it happen I ordered after from game stop and got it same day. I will not buy anything at all from target anymore. I was in a rush to grab some last minute feminine essentials, so the pick up order I reserved was not ready when I arrived. So, the young lady at Pick Up was really nice and told me I could cancel the order. Upon checking out at the self check out/express line Maeve stood over my shoulder but at one of the out of order stations as I rang up my order. They were sure to let me know they were watching me because "Be well now" was added as I left. All of the other POS(s) were occupied with several people at each station but they only kept an eye on me and made me feel uncomfortable. read more

I don't think I can fully adequately describe my love for Target. This one, however, seems a bit disorganized. I was looking for sparkling water specifically, and they only had large bottles in stock. The entire shelf for the individual bottles was empty. All of their clerks seem really busy with stocking supplies, so they could probably use more help to make the store seem more organized and clean? Also, this store doesn't have a liquor license. So if you want to purchase adult beverages, you will have to make your way down to the wine store, a few doors away. This store has its potentials! read more

Hate the new set up. Can't find anything, keeps me wandering around for hours because sections are non-sensical. Lots of shitty products no one has heard of while most of the standards on my list are nowhere to be found. Not to mention random messy piles of crap everywhere. Worst check out that I have been to at any target. The person working at self checkout was extremely rude. I had 11 items in my cart and they would not let me use that area. As a customer, this is a great Target. There are a ton of options in every section. They have the best prices on makeup and beauty, and every section is well organized. During the day they have plenty of registers open but at night they only have about 2 open. Very clean and well maintained, but unfortunately they only have pizza hut in the food court and no Starbucks. As a former employee, this is the BEST target to work at. All of the staff are genuinely nice and helpful towards each other. I've worked at 3 other stores and they do not compare to here at all. This Target stresses me out..something I NEVER thought I would say about a Target. Every time I come here the shelves are all cluttered with broken/misplaced items, items not marked with prices, etc. There always seem to be stock boxes on the ground/blocking the aisles, but never any merchandise actually ON the shelves. The pick-up/service counter is worked by super rude associates who talk to each other instead of helping customers. In fact I would be brave enough to say that I've never seen any associate here smile or even make eye contact with me, aside from the pick-up counter where they had to. This Target is just like any other Target, except that it sells groceries... Somewhat overpriced, but still sells them... I do love however that when I walk though the Freezer section the lights are censored so they turn on as I walk by... I dont dare buy the Produce there but for soda & Cereal its great to stop in when Im in Target for other things... Had a fiasco with an online order of a Nintendo Switch for pick-up here that went through and then got canceled because they were "sold out"... but then when I looked on the website to find another place that still had some, this store popped up as having the Switch in-stock. Huh?! I got the runaround on the phone, but when I arrived to the store and waited in the order pick-up line, I had the extreme fortune of having Chris help me out. He scoured the whole electronics department and stockroom for me, gave me a gift card for my trouble, and then set a console aside for me from the shipment the next day so I could pick it up. He didn't have to do any of that, he could have just told me I was out of luck and to try again somewhere else. I've rarely gotten this level of customer service anywhere, much less at a Target, during a pandemic! read more

This Target is such a joke. No matter what day or time I go in here, the shelves are poorly stocked and there are enormous pallets of boxes blocking aisles every which way. Today when I was in there, I went down an aisle only to discover I couldn't turn left OR right. I recently moved here from another part of the state, where my local Target was absolutely pristine at all times-like actually gleaming (Westwood...ughh I miss it!) The Starbucks inside this store is also horrendous. The regular barista working there is rude, and they are always out of cup sleeves, coffee flavors, grande size lids...you name it. I'd rather drive half a mile and order my $5 latte and know that I'll get exactly what I've asked for and not have to burn my hand holding a scalding hot cup. I do love this target for its little grocery store HOWEVER I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS need to check dates on everything. It seems everything is months expired or damaged/opened and I don't realize until I get home. I like the convenience of it because I can just run in and grab basic items like milk and eggs but it's happened way too many times where I come home and food is expired! Like does no one check the shelves?? I just never think so make sure every single item I have is still in date because I would think this would be done by employees. I love Target! The associates are so friendly and helpful. It's not like that other big box store down the street. This store actually has people working on the floor who are willing to stop what they are doing to answer a question, help you find a product, or in my case of the shrinking old lady, reaching something up high. I like that there are many price check machines available through the store. They even tell you if some more are out back, or at another location in a different size. I do a lot of food shopping here as well. They have a great frozen pizza selection. Using the red card helps me to save an extra 5% every time that I shop. I go through the self checkout, because I am choosy about how my items are bagged. Checkout is a breeze. The bags that they provide are nice and strong, and have good handles. The way that the store is spread out, it doesn't feel so crowded. There is always something new. Their women's clothing line is nice and not expensive. I love the items for the home. Two stars you ask.. well normally I would put one for my experience, however I was feeling dress to impress generous. So basically my story begins when I was shopping in the book section, which smelled like a poopy diaper. That triggered my bum.. and all of a sudden I had to poop. So I begin running to the bathroom and slipped on a random turd??? There was no telling if it was mine, but it probably wasn't (wink). After I got up, not minding the poop smear on my leg, I started running again. Just as I turned the corner, I accidentally bumped into an un-expecting employee, who started yelling at me. After I apologized profusely, and even stated that my poop was turtle-heading, he still yelled at me. I started to run away, and he started chasing me, yelling "you smell like poop!" Finally, after I made it to the bathroom, I busted into the door and was shocked to see diarrhea all over the toilet and the floor. Looks like someone beat me to it (wink). Fortunately, I could not hold it in any longer.. and just as the chasing man caught up to me, I poop on him. It was with such force that I couldn't stop it, in fact it ripped a huge brown hole right in my pants :(. Which is why I am writing this because the pants were from Target. This place shouldn't get even one star. I went last night to set up my wedding registry. After being in the Danvers location for a hour. It didn't work. I went to the service desk (& there was a girl who was helpful) . Once I had it set up, I went to start scanning . Once my fiancé and I got to our last item on the list it said we didn't have any on there. So I went towards the service desk again to see if we could get help again. The line was long. So I asked a employee to page the manager for me. The manager came over but was NOT helpful at all. He told me there was nothing they could do but have me set up a another account and try again. Why would I do that since the last one didn't work.? I told them I will not be making another account. I even asked if there was someone who could follow me around and help me scan my items in and the manager said. No.. "sorry I manage the whole store and I don't have time for that". Well I wasted my whole night and my other plans with friends. I will take my business outswhere and will be telling friends and family to do the same. This target is the worst! I was trying to set my registry up for almost a hour to two hours! I can't believe no one could have helped me. Would have made things easier for my wedding but nope! The staff here goes above and beyond, they are extremely short staffed so all these people who want to act like we aren't dealing with a pandemic staffing issue clearly doesn't know what it's like to work retail. Keep up the good work, every time I go in there (which is a lot) I see effort and customer service. Needed to do some clothes shopping and some luggage shopping. Target is great for both. Picked up a couple of fleece jackets and some sweatpants, as well as a great clearance deal on a roller soft sided bag. Saved even more with my Target redcard. Love that! Parking was easy. Where to start on this review. First let me say that i love Target, generally speaking. They usually have friendly staff and most of the items that i need. I usually leave with a satisfied feeling. But not yesterday! Alot of the stores around our area are going through much needed renovations. Lately, we've had to endure disorganized chaos but figured it was worth it to have a cool new fresh store. Yesterday my sister and i were in and the store was a mess. Shoes and clothes all over the floor.. at one point i tripped and almost went down catching myself on my cart. Also, they must have new buyers because the clothing selection was disappointing at best. I get to the register to pay and there were 2 girls so busy chatting about " the new fucking principle should just mind her own business.. she's such a bitch". And on and on it went. I had told the girl that i didn't want one of the items but she rang it anyway and then removed it. Apparently i, and other customers, were interrupting their chat session. When i got home i discovered that i had lost an earring. I had been trying on clothes and am pretty sure that it ended up on the floor. I called, pressed 2 for "customer service" and was greeted with perhaps the rudest "customer service" person ive ever encountered. This part of the Target experience could take pages to write so I'll cut it short. I was hung up on 3x's. I had to make a total of 7 phone calls to eventually reach Carol. She was very kind and helpful. She took the time to go look for my earring and was applogetic about what had happened so far. Although i appreciated it, i didn't feel that the ONLY helpful person should have to apologize for the others. I wish i could give the name of the "customer sevice"person... but she refused to give me her name. Before hanging up on me. 3x. I was supposed to receive a call from Victoria, the store manager, today but that hasn't happened. Apparently she must be the one setting the example. Normally at this point i would just drop it but because it was SO bad, I'll just email corporate. Perhaps they will care about customer service since they are the ones that spend millions on advertising campaigns to bring customers into the store. Target... I'm going to miss you! This target is a mess - every holiday they are way far behind the other stores on getting out the themed stuff- every isle looks like it exploded- staff don't know where stuff is - the maternity section stinks - the rest of the clothes are all a mess and the clearance and mark down section would send if frugal Fran over the edge and she may fall asleep sorting through the clothes- people who do order pick ups are lazy and often don't look hard enough for items and cancel my order and when I return I find them myself even though they couldn't- I went to the Christmas little candy/stocking stuffer isle over with the decorations and I couldn't even buy what I needed because they have boxes blocking half the shelves - staff often leave their stuff in the middle of the aisle which a former employee told me is a no no and every thing must be moved unless a staff member is present and stocking. Customers are playing bumper cars and I can't even get my carts down some of the aisles as their are so many boxes in my way. It makes the whole process miserable. I often go to Saugus where the line is quicker and the products are well organized and stocked and since it is a smaller target than Danvers I gladly take the trip to Everette to the huge super massive target. I am not discriminatory and I value diversity but I overheard a customer asking for soap and the staff member referred her to the grocery's as she didn't know English well. For the most part Danvers Target hires older women who are kind and sweet but go at snails pace in a store that needs hurricane pace or young trampy girls that probably would rather get high and pop bubbles in the school yard. My friend who was a former employee would often rearrange shelves who these lazy people would stock all wrong to be jerks and give them More work to do. Meanwhile this employee would take pictures and show a months worth of work they wanted done in a five hour shift as they would hire a ton of new people and cut all the others hours. My husband also applied and was discriminated against and the manager told someone that some people just don't get to work here- he has a college degree and they won't hire him but they hire someone who can't use the register and they can be a cashier? Also someone from HR (her name was Amy) as well as a women Karen I overhead on the floor while Shopping that they can't hire a person because she was mentally slow. Go to another target with better management and a neater store it's worth a further drive and also they will have the coolest items when everyone else does and they won't still be adding out the coveted items you see on Facebook three days before the holiday you need them For. read more

The problem is their curbside pick-up Even before covid-19 there curbside pick-up wasn't very good,so I would just pick-up the items I ordered on-line in the store. Since covid-19 I have used curbside pick-up 3 times. When I arrive I try to call the store and NEVER get an answer. I have to wait until an employee comes out to help someone else. I gave the store a bad review and heard from the store director Christopher Dumas . I replied,but never heard back from him. I decided to try curbside pick-up again (my third time) . It was as bad as ever.I have tried calling the store again , but no one ever answers . While visiting the Danvers Target for the first time I was impressed when I first walked in but that ended as soon as I got further into the store. Because it was a complete mess. It looked as if people looted the entire store, People that live in Danvers and neighboring towns should be ashamed of themselves. There are the ones who shop there and are complete slobs!!! I am not from that area. I had taken my son there to get a few things and bring him back to his dorm. He was even appalled. He kept saying, "look Mom, look over there, look at that". Needless to say we were in awe. The Targets where I live in the South Shore have sufficient employees and are in pristine condition and well kept. Danvers Target had more clothes on the floor and thrown on tables than hung and folded on shelves. There were pallets and pallets of dry goods on the end caps that needed to be shelved. You could barely move around the aisles. I feel terrible for the Target employees, it's so disrespectful. They are not there to pick up after lazy customers all day. I don't think you could pay anyone enough money to work there. I wish I had taken pictures but I saw another review recently with pictures and it was basically the same but maybe worse. read more

Eggs and poultry are at the epicenter of food borne illnesses. For this reason, if I find even one cracked egg in the carton the customer has brought to my line, I immediately ask my supervisor or the nearest employee who is not currently busy, to get another carton. Every customer I have ever had has appreciated my diligence in this manner. It seems that I was also an anomaly, because whenever I bought eggs at this same store, no other cashier except for one or two others check to make sure they are all intact. Here's the mentality. The customer already checked, so why should I? In the first place, this is part of the customer service experience, making sure the customer is happy within the scope of your abilities. A customer might not have time to closely inspect the eggs for the tiniest cracks and even they did check thoroughly, the eggs can get damaged in the course of the shopping trip. I've had customers retrieve eggs from the bottom of the cart where it was clear that the groceries on top of them were not exactly placed with a brick layer's careful hand. If those eggs hadn't been broken, I'd have run right out of the store and grabbed the next bus to MIT because that would be the day I either got a Noble Peace Prize for improving food distribution, or blew the cover off of a major genetic modification conspiracy. The other day, I was on a register and I had a woman with her kids in my line. She had a larger order and though she was frustrated with her kids, she was at the very least civil. In the middle of the order, I found one of the eggs in her carton had been damaged. Again, it's the tiniest of cracks, but you don't know what could have gotten in there, so it's best to play it safe. I made the request of the assistant supervisor whom I'll call "M" and she went to get another carton, leaving behind the carton with the broken egg. I apologized to the customer for the delay as I continued to ring her groceries out. M returned with another carton of eggs. I checked this one as well and not only was there one cracked egg, but there were two. So I politely asked M to get another carton and she flipped. "Well B (the front end supervisor) said to just mix and match. Here, just take the broken eggs out of this one and put them in that one!" "No, I'm not going to do that," I said. "That's against company policy for one and it's a health and safety risk." "Well just do it. M said so!" I stood my ground and "M" stormed off to get another carton. The customer was shocked by her behavior and demanded to see a manager. She praised me for my attention to detail and thanked me profusely for protecting her family from possible food bourne illness. The reason I share this story now is because I no longer work there. This is not the only corner the staff at this particular Target are known for cutting. They continue to sell packages of chicken that have gone puffy from bacteria. So I would highly recommend not shopping there for food, unless you want to get severely sick one of these days. read more

OH MY SHIZ. THEY HAVE A GROCERY STORE SECTION NOW. IT TRUMPS ALL GROCERY STORES. the prices are comparable to market basket on most items, but the produce section is a bit lacking. regardless, i hope i can avoid the salem market basket (and danviz one, for that matter) and come here all the time, even though it's stupid to leave salem just for a supermarket situation. the almond milk and soy milk selection is bigger and cheaper than others in the area. the same goes for the frozen vegetable selection. i don't know that it's necessarily bigger, but the market pantry (target) brand options are diverse. like, there are different medleys and stuff. plus, you can get a huge sack of dinosaur chicken nuggets for like three cents! (or dollars.) the aisles are narrow in the grocery section. it's still easier to navigate than that damn market basket. it's so convenient and awesome to be able to buy turkey and tampons and tents all in the same store! plus, the people at the registers are a lot more friendly than other similar stores in the area. winwinwinwinwin. read more

This was a okay Target. I love shopping at Targets and have this need to check out the ones i have not seen. The prices were okay, the over all view of this store was a big mess. Aisles were over crowded and messy. The sales associates was useless. Instead of pointing to where I can find the item I was looking for, she should have walked me over. The item I was looking for was not any where near where she had pointed out. This sales associate had a floor manager next to her name! So much for the help. Eh, I used to think this place was alright, but these days they're just a fart above Walmart. It's still clean, and doesn't smell like Walmart popcorn, but if you hit them at the wrong time (which I apparently do), the three registers they keep open get loaded up with people with those stupid giant carts flooded with hundreds of dollars worth of kids clothes. I seriously could not just get one item in there and get out. Every stinkin register had some ridiculous issue with whatever these nuts were buying. This store is huge. And every section could be a store in itself in the mall. It's insane. The selection is great but also a bit overwhelming. Seriously who knew there were that many different kinds of photo albums, baby bibs, and DVD players. This is not a bad thing as the staff is really friendly and tend to usually have the answers. But there is a lot of stuff here. They also have a pharmacy that is open fairly good hours although not always the same as the store itself which is a bummer. And a lot of the stuff here is often on sale. I am a huge fan of their dollar bins when you walk in. All in all a very large, very busy location. read more
