Beware of store manager. I was pressured insistently into opening a TJX Rewards card by the Danvers Homegoods store manager and I did open one. The numbers of my temporary card were printed on receipt paper and the store manager gave them to me. A fraudulent charge of $130 was made on my newly opened card 9 days later, mind you before I could receive my physical plastic card. The only person who knew the card numbers was this manager who pressured me into opening the TJX card. I was beyond livid to find someone stealing from me. So be careful about this store. read more

Extreme makeover for all your household goods..... When I relocated to Boston, it gave me the chance to remove the old and insert the new for my place. This store is awesome. It is small but it doesn't waste any space and is packed with everything you can imagine for your home, kitchen and garden. The staff here is always friendly and helpful. HG has many great variety of items and priced lower than most department stores without sacrificing quality. I have spent a small fortune here. So much in fact, I should check into buying stock into the company so I can get some of my money back. If you are looking for a house warming gift or just warming up your place HG will definitely help you look great and be easy on your wallet. read more

Hands down the best home goods store within 50 miles! They seriously get the best of the best!!! The line often is long and it can be really crowded but it is worth it. I could spend hours in this place weekly as there is SO much and they are always getting new affordable must have pieces! I was just in today and got a tree skirt, some decorative stockings and a few other Christmas decorations and I can't wait to go back and get more! It is so fun! The older lady named Maureen was working as a cashier at the front of the store and was having a complete FREAK OUT moment at her co workers legit screaming at them causing a scene because they didn't know how to use Apple Pay. Very rude and unprofessional. I feel so bad for those girls she yelled at... where is the manager and why does Maureen think she is allowed to do this. Ruined my time at home goods... read more

Extemely disappointed in this location and the way the " Store manager", Patty handled herself. I went in to purchase an area rug and found one the would work. With two prices on the rug, the original tag @ $399 and an addition brightly colored sale tag @ $299, I believed it was safe to assume the rug was on sale. Patty who was extremely rude did not honor the lower price that was clearly on the rug, then began to say that I was being cheap over a lousy $100. Will not be returning to this location! read more

I was at this store earlier today, browsing for a birthday gift for my mother. About 10 minutes into my search, a frazzled employee, a shorter woman with dark brown frizzy/curly hair barreled down one of the cramped aisles with a stock cart and yelled "excuse me" at a customer who was standing in the way looking in the opposite direction. She seemed very rushed and annoyed. I kept looking, and a bit later, there she was again, hurriedly making browsing customers move out of her way while she trumpeted another "EXCUSE ME" in an aggravated tone. VERY unprofessional. This store is way too cramped, the aisles can hardly fit one carriage down them, let alone a few people. Terrible setup. The other employees don't seem too friendly either. I left empty handed and decided to go elsewhere. read more

Isles are way too small to be able to just browse around without having to move out of the way !! My wife and I went in to look around, but felt like they just crammed way too much stuff into an already very full store. It made us both very uncomfortable and did not enjoy our experience at this particular store. Later, we went to the one in Swampscott. WOW, what a difference!! Plenty of room and lots of stuff !! The layout in the Danvers store is unacceptable. The layout in the Swampscott store was outstanding. In closing, if you like to be squeezed in and made to feel uncomfortable, by all means go to the store in Danvers. On the other hand, if you would like to have a nice,enjoyable shopping experience, go to the store in Swampscott. read more

Your average Homegoods store. You never quite know what ya gonna git and that's what keeps me coming back. One day, I desperately needed a trifle bowl and didn't have time to go somewhere that would actually sell trifle bowls so I asked the guy putting out stock if he'd seen anything like a trifle bowl in the sea of glass bowl things or even something that *could* be a trifle holder and he went out back and produced a pseudo trifle bowl that was under $10. Came to buy a dog bed. Was incorrectly labeled. Had to wait in a long line and then had to wait for a manager to come over. Should of giv n me a discount for incorrectly labeled. Would of switched for a cheaper one but no time. read more

Absolutely mortified, walking in to this HomeGoods. This Danvers store should be ashamed of themselves. I usually frequent the Swampscott HomeGoods and its always clean, uncluttered and fairly organized, along with plenty of room in the isles to walk. We walked in to the Danvers HomeGoods and not only was it a complete mess, but there was no organization, everything was everywhere, nothing was in the right place and there were opened packages with their packing left everywhere... The isles were so tight, that you could not comfortably look at the merchandise... and the dirty feeling it had too... just terrible. I asked the girl that rang me up if "this store was always like this".. her response was "yes, but its not us its the customers"... I did correct her in a nice professional way letting her know that it was "the employees responsibilty to walk the store and and keep it orgainzed and clean, not the customer. I will NEVER GO BACK to this HomeGood again. read more

I was so impressed yesterday with the professionalism of the store manager Bill. From the time I walked in with some rather large items he assisted me and when it came time to locate the price of an item he was there with a smile, last but not least j needed an item to be discounted that had a few scratches, again he came right up with a smile to assist..... For what I thought was going to be a return and exchange from hell turned out to be a pretty damn awesome experience.. With the reputation TJmaxx has for being extremely difficult and rude he could sure teach those mangers a thing or two...... With great service like his a customer is sure to return .... Thank you for Great Service Bill, but it doesn't end here,,,, I'm going to let your home office, customer service department know exactly what a gem you are ......
