Target on Sunrise Hwy in Copiague, NY is located in a shopping plaza with Home Depot, Red Lobster, and some other businesses. There is no problem finding parking as there are plenty of spots. Usually all Target locations have a very similar setup so it's not too unfamiliar. The aisles were very organized and stocked. The Target App is an easy way to shop and save. If there is a specific item you are looking for, the app will tell you the exact aisle and how many are in stock. I went to the cashier and it was a quick process to check-out. I mean, it's Target. Most of them have the same items for selection, and are nothing too special usually. This one I will review for its service and conveniences, rather than the selection and values there. I don't know of any other Target in the Nassau/Suffolk area that does not have self-checkout. I can understand why they would not want this, since the idea of cashiers is to provide jobs within the community, but the problem is they never seem to have any cashiers as it is- one or two open at any given time. Most of their employees are on the floor, which is fine if you need to look for things but not if you're in a rush and looking to check out quick. I'd pick another location, one that has self-checkout unless you like waiting on line. read more

This place is always clean and tidy. They aren't super busy, which is surprising considering there is a few different stores in the same parking lot. The staff is friendly and helpful. Which is always great. I used to live in Levittown and the one in that town was always a mess. Granted, it shared a parking lot with stop and shop and was on the corner of Wantagh avenue and Hempstead Turnpike. That one makes this one look like heaven. The Starbucks at that one is at is kind of hidden at the front of the store. I love how the Starbucks is set up as well. It's open and airy. It does have a half wall though. read more

This Target is the only one around that I'm aware of that does not have self checkout. That would not necessarily be a bad thing except they never have more than one or two cashiers open at a time, so you're likely to wait on line to pay longer than it takes you shop. Given the location right on Sunrise Highway, this was a really bad idea on their part to eliminate self checkout. They are constantly busy, and most of the employees are on the floor or on their phone instead of at a cash register. The selection of the store are fine, same as any other Target and prices as expected. The only reason I come here anymore is convenience since it's close to my house. read more

I usually do a Target run weekly. Because this location is closest to me, it'd be nice to just go to this location, pick up what I have to get, and exit with my items I came here for. Unfortunately, I cannot do that. This location don't be having anything I need to buy. They stay out of stock. I've also encountered spoiled fruit and expired yogurt on their shelves. Tsk tsk! Another thing is that some prices listed on the shelf sticker differ from what is being charged at the register; and it's usually a higher price. It's only pennies difference, but listen that adds up. That's why you have to watch them when ringing your items and/or check your receipt. Love Target, but this one needs to do better! read more

It was late at night, not sure if it's the fault of the patrons who do this, or the workers for not putting things back but there was product all over the place (in the shoe and men's aisle). Walking into target, and the store wasn't even full but it was almost impossible to find a cart which was frustrating as I wanted to buy a few big items for my new apartment. Once I got a cart, I had a good experience here. They have a Starbucks right as you walk in and each cart has a cup holder which made my shopping day just a little bit more pleasant :) the prices have gone up recently, but they are not to blame for that and the items I bought here are still affordable at good quality. The shelves were fully stocked and the labelling hanging from the ceiling made it easy to quickly find which section to go for for certain items. I bought my living room rug here as well as a food processor and organization bins. This is also one of the cleanest targets I have ever been to. Safe to say I am very happy with my experience but they should have more carts available as I walked around for about 15 minutes trying to find one. read more

This is an ok Target. Not quite as big as the one in Farmingdale, but decent. The staff is very helpful, always willing to not only tell me they will check the back... But actually check the back and return with the item I was looking for. The cashiers are always friendly and upbeat. I never get hassled for using coupons at this location. And customer service makes no issue with returns or price adjustments. Everything just seems to flow at this location. The bathrooms have been consistently clean, and the aisles are usually uncluttered and easy to navigate. What I don't like is that the food items are so far from the entrance. You literally have to walk a block's distance just to get some milk. Makes scoring that closest spot to the door a bit un-celebrational once you walk through those doors and realize you need to call an Uber just to get to the bread aisle. There is a newly renovated Starbucks near the entrance. It's your average Starbucks. Nothing special really. The line is usually short there and the drinks are on point. All-in-all it's your average Target. No complaints from me. :-) read more

The store is conveniently located off of Sunrise Highway and Bayview Avenue and very close to Red Lobster and GameStop the parking lot was pretty bad when it rained but they fix that inside the people are very helpful. I had to return a bicycle because of missing parts no problem they took it back and said I could have my money or another bicycle. The produce department leaves a lot to be desired but they're dry goods aren't bad you just have to check the expiration date and no lines aren't bad it depends on the time you go there read more

I walked in yesterday to do a return. I walked up to customer service and waited (not one person on line) (2 people at the register). I asked one girl can you please help me she said "someone will be out to help you in a minute". I said why can't you assist me...she said I'm busy. Hmmm ok... This Target use to be my go to spot, now they are always out of something. The lines are always too long with no enough cashiers, the clothes selection is HORRIBLE! I use to come here and there was Soo much cute things I had to buy but now there is nothing here. There is no type of choices. There is some sort of leak or something, but whatever it is, the bread section is always filled with soaking wet bread. And it's usually stale, because no one wants to buy wet bread. The check out staff are so friendly and patient. Not every transaction goes smoothly, but I want to commend their staff for being kind and resourceful. Today my cartwheel app wasn't working, I had my baby strapped to my chest, and a million things I wanted to buy. They worked out a solution so that I'd still receive the cartwheel discount. I often think that once I leave the city, all Target's are awesome. New York's Target stores are often crowded, aggravating, unstocked, so on, so on. My girlfriend and I went for a Sunday drive out to Long Island. Along the way we decided to stop by Target to pick up some stuff since we had a car to bring everything back with. We chose this store in Copiague due to it being en route to the beach we wanted to explore. I understand that this was a Sunday and having worked at Target in the past, know that this is a hectic day. However, it just seemed as though there really wasn't anything in stock! Not a particularly good Target. The store is always a huge mess - merchandise all over the floor, abandoned carts sitting in the middle of aisles, produce and freezer sections looking like they've been hit by a hurricane...pretty much anything you can imagine wrong with a store will be found here. My pics below will tell the story. Staff is inattentive and often nowhere to be found. When you do find them they are usually off in a corner talking to each other and not particularly happy to help you if you have a question. If you do track someone down they probably can't even tell you where to find specific merchandise. 4 out of 5 times you won't even get a "hello" from the cashier. Sometimes they won't even look you in the eye or make any attempt to communicate with you, verbal or otherwise. The only person I've ever found here to be helpful is the Barista at the Starbucks. It's usually always the same girl, and she's always polite and kind. read more

I am a frequent shopper at Target. I usually go to the Levittown location which is great. Levittown was out of a seasonal item and offered to call this store to see if they had it. After 20 minutes of trying to call with no answer, I took a ride over. The store is filthy! Staff is no where to be found. I searched for quite some time before I could find someone to help me locate the item I was looking for. I am used to the friendly, accommodating staff and clean store in Levittown (and almost every other Target that I've been to). This Copaigue store is a disaster. Very poorly managed. read more

I have been trying to contact the store via phone for more than a half hour but no one is answering. Unfortunately I believe I may have lost my car key at this location, and since I live 30+ minutes away it would be helpful to be able to speak with someone to determine if a key has been turned in. Horrible experience. I understand that stores are reserving hours but that should be posted on the app without having to click around searching for it. It states the open time is 8am. People work 9-5 jobs, how is this accommodating for anyone else?
