I usually always do drive up pick up now and mostly go once a week. This was my first time at this target in commerce since I usually go to the one in pico Rivera. I picked this one since it was on my way to work. When I got there I clicked on the "I'm here" button for the drive up & parked at the drive up section. I waited 5 min & thought okay they will be out shortly. I was waiting & nothing so I waited and extra 5 min & got frustrated since I had to leave to work. I went inside which defeats the purpose that I did the drive up option. When I got off and went inside they had people to be able to take the items but they had a mess & not organized the girl that helped me said she still had to go get it from the back & I left very upset because I did not get an apology for having me wait. As I walked to my car I also noticed that there were other cars waiting for their order. This location was very messy and unorganized that now I will not be coming to the one in commerce & will continue to be a loyal customer to the one in pico Rivera. They always have everything properly organized & are out there when I get there for my drive up pick up. This store needs a lot more work. read more

S H A D Y location. Something about it makes me feel grimy after leaving. I always have a hard time making a left while exiting. The store is new inside and has an interesting layout BUT something about it makes me feel icky. Oh I know, twice I've come here I stepped in gum IN THE STORE. Yuck! I will say that when a high end product comes out, this store tends to have it in stock. Staff appear helpful, I've never really asked for help because I don't aisle shop at the location, I usually have what I need in mind, get it, and bounce. The lines have been uber long the few times I've been and parking is bad but you can find easy parking farther away from the entrance. This is a popular Target for the gente and every neighborhood deserves a Target so I don't think it's a big deal to park a little farther, I still think the South Gate location is the worst in existence so this one isn't so bad but bad enough to get two stars. I HATE this TARGET!!! i live close by but i rather drive to a further one or pay more taxes in Pico. starters.. parking sucks!! u can never find parking and if you do find a parking spot you can guarantee that you will have a new dent/scratch/shopping cart stuck to your car. there is a shopping cart problem, there is not designated spot to put shopping carts back so people just let them role around. there is always homeless people taking up the benches outside the store. restrooms are always filthy. kids are running around every where and crying like crazy because their parents dont take care of them. People Target is not a park/ playground. Toy aisle is a MESS you cant even walk through there. -This Target has come a long way. I used to avoid it and i just recently starting coming here again. It's been remodeled and it's new set up makes shopping here more pleasant. -Returns with a receipt or ID is super easy. The cashiers always accommodate to my price-matching if from their website or other valid competitors according to the price matching rules. -Their Starbucks is on point and a necessity to some. - I always find what I need in stock and the best part is they have extensive clearance sections in the clothes, home and toys departments. -Their food/produce department has the basics but don't rely on checking off your grocery list from here. -I don't want to forget to mention their drive-up service is a God-sent especially to us moms with little ones in the car. It's sometimes more of a hassle to get everyone off the car to buy just a couple of things or maybe the babies are sleeping in the car...anyway, use the Target App and the drive-up pick up option instead of delivery. You check in when you have almost arrived to give them time to get your order ready and deliver it to your car when you are parked in one of the four parking spaces used for pick up. Once I picked up stuff for my baby and the Target employee came out in the rain with an umbrella running. I was super appreciative! So, in all, this is my go-to Target now. read more

This Target makes me sad. There is a very prominent diaper, shit smell upon entering. It's strong and well spread out. Aisles are dirty, dusty, empty. There are tags against the walls, lots of items are arbitrarily tagged as clearance while others are not. It's very sad. This Target makes me think of Ross and JC Penney. Came here just to buy a few gift cards and as I was rolling up, I had the overwhelming feeling like I was back in TJ. The parking lot, surrounding stores, and this Target store itself...filthy! Some discount shoe store across the street bumpin' ranchero music! Taco truck litter the street hocking their grub. As you enter, it appears you've walked into a wild animal park. Kids running all over the place unattended. Parents yelling at their kids. Merchandise strewn about the store made me feel like I was at any Walmart. Long lines like you wouldn't imagine! I waited in line for 20 minutes because a customer was bickering over the use of free baby formula coupons. Then the next woman ahead of me starts complaining over the price of some towels. The other lines were not much better! Needless to say, the cashiers work at two speeds: slow and slower. Do yourself a favor and skip this Target store. As many have stated it may not be the greatest , cleanest , full of every stock customers want , and yes you see many kids crying for toys they want and their moms sometimes not paying attention to them , but i have gone to many Targets and i see the same thing whether it be Alhambra, Commerce, Pico Rivera, Culver City , Pasadena i think that's everywhere you go now in days. I love this Target I find myself going there all the time. I usually head directly to the movies and spend about 40 minutes deciding what I want, but the only thing I can complain about that area is the lack of movie variation. After that I always head over to the makeup which is like my favorite place in the world a-duhhh! But anyways, I always come across the lipsticks that are all smuged and sometimes I look for other lipsticks and can never find more and if do theyre all smudged as well.. which is disappointing. But I did have the most pleasant experience when I went the other day and had help from a Target worker named Raquel, and her job was to help the ladies looking for makeup and I walked out of target with two beautiful maybelline shades that I absolutely loved and she helped me choose. This Target location is terrible. At times, checkers refuse to give me sale item discounts. I have to take photos of the display to get them to acknowledge their own sale advertisements. The checkout supervisor usually takes their time coming over to help or just flat pretends to flips through some binder and say, "it's not on sale". When I show the supervisor the picture of the sale card and price of the item. The supervisor usually says, "that's old" and to "disregard it". When I explain the concept of "false advertisement" to the supervisor he or she looks away and then tells to clerk to return the item because she doesn't want it. I usually have to inform the clerk and the supervisor that I will purchase the item(s) at full price and that I will be contacting corporate with a copy of the receipt plus picture of the sale card. This stand off either ends with the supervisor trying to bully the checkout clerk into returning the sale item(s) or the supervisor just giving me their advertised discount "just this one time". read more

Let's begin by saying that I hail from the birthplace of Target (Minneapolis, MN) and I even know a few fellows that are currently employed at HQ; they must learn about this rouge Target that has a constant struggle to maintain the essence of serenity that most stores transmit. I attempted a shopping trip on a busy Saturday with a friend who was picking up a pharmacy order due to the fact that this is supposedly the closest Target to downtown. Round 1: The parking lot. It was a rat race to find a spot. Round 2: The aisles. People everywhere. You would of thought everybody was stocking up on the essentials for the apocalypse, insane. Round 3: The pharmacy. My friend (who was called by the Target pharmacy to say that the order was ready to be picked up), who shall not be named, Josh walked up to the counter gave the name and then was told that the prescription was not ready and the item would actually have be ordered and could be picked up on Mon? WTF?!? Target, epic fail. Why would you venture to Target to pick up a prescription that isn't there, for the fun of it? ugh... Round 4: more aisles of shopping.... some of the shelves look like Helen Keller went in and messed things up a bit. rinse. repeat. Round 5: check-out. 10+ per lane for check out, yes please. K.O. Target won. Who can fight this mess? I was not privy to check out the bathrooms at this place but golly who knows what happens in there because even the best Targets have horrible b-rooms. Very dissatisfied with my online shopping experience. The website (on certain items)indicates your order or items will be ready for pick up in two (2) hours. I placed my order, waited four (4)hours and headed to the store to pick up my order, only to be told they are understaffed and my items would not be ready anytime soon. I was headed to a Birthday party and had decided to shop online for the birthday gift to "save time". Needless to say it was a complete waste of time.
