I am a huge fan of Target, in particular this one and the one at Peninsula Town Center. This target is always clean and well stocked and the employees are actually nice UNLIKE some local Target stores (ahem Military Highway) Where else can you get a Pizza Hut personal pan pizza, a chai tea, tampons, an artificial Christmas Tree, a leopard print faux fur jacket and a snow shovel on your lunch break the day before a Nor'Easter and still make it back to your desk on time?!! read more

They had a great selection of footless tights for my daughter to choose from however, almost all of the white tights that were in her size were dusty. The bins that contained the tights had dust on the bottom which created a dusty film on the tights. Luckily, we were able to find a pair that was free of dust. We only visited the area where they had the tights and sportswear. I was pleased with the prices but the area was a bit messy. The bathrooms were filthy. Toilet paper everywhere and there was only one stall that wasn't filled with urine and tissue. Gross! I know its not this way every time I've come here but on 6-9-15 in the early evening, it was pretty disgusting. I didn't bother using it. read more

I hate HATE the layout of this Target. Nothing is easy to find and it looks and feels like a Walmart, maybe even a thrift store. I was in this weekend and left, and drove to the next closest Target to get what I needed. Very disappointed. read more

To me, Target is the happiest place on Earth. You can find me there 3-5 times a week if not more. If there was a 24 hour location around here, I'd be in trouble. I go here for pretty much anything/everything: clothes, shoes, presents, everyday essentials, cosmetics, etc. I even buy some of my groceries here, not even minding that I'm paying a little extra for something I could get cheaper at Walmart. This location in particular is my favorite just because it's so close to home and I know where everything is. Whenever I need something, it seems that this store is the only one close by that has it in stock. Also, the customer service is great. I never had any issues coming here. Forget Walmart, Target is the way to go. read more

Where are you supposed to go when you need (random consumable)???... Your easiest destination for a one stop shop is Target. Almost everyone knows what a Target is so I am not going to get into that. But I will give you some comments on what this Target has. "The Good" - In a center that for whatever unknown reason has diagonal crosswalks for people to get from the lot to the store... This is one of, I think three locations that allows people to walk in a straight line without going over landscaping in order to get to their destination. - There is a main vehicle corridor that just stops right in front of the entrance with no clear stops... it makes it difficult to navigate for those that are not expert drivers. - There are also stop signs, so someone negotiated the lease as it was meant to be. Even if you are not going to Target the cars still have to stop in front of it. - From socks and shoelaces to a toaster oven or a fan for your desk. This place probably has it, and it just may be a little bit more quality than some other Super Store. - The staff is friendly from the cashiers, stockers and even the people that deal with the grumps returning items that can get stressed. They are all smiling. "The Meh" - I know the new register spacing is supposed to... Ummm You know what I have no idea what the new register thing is supposed to be ... It feels like I am a Plinko chip trying to find my way to the $10,000 slot with the light on. I am not sure what happened to straight lines. You can stack them two deep but this is kinda weird. "The Bad" - I saw one of the security guards "move along" an accordion player the other day that was set up around the corner between the blind spot between Target and Game Stop, where the benches are. Yes, I know an accordion vagrant in Chesapeake... its the first step to Ghettodom. First of all you need to respect anyone that made the choice to start, learn and continue to play the accordion. And "B", that was probably the most outrageous thing that guard had to do all month.... Let the guy play. read more

The Curbside Pick up is awesome at this location. I have only picked up at Pembroke and South Independence so I wasnt sure what this experience would be. It is really simple and easy. I can keep my kids in the car and pick up items I need. I'm ready for Target to add Wine and Frozen foods. I couldn't order other things I needed because they don't offer so that was disappointing but overall it was a good visit. read more

She had her mask pulled down to her chin She proceeded to pace around the front area all the while unmasked. I didn't want to get close enough to see her name. Came here on Sunday with hubs to add some items to our baby registry. It was PACKED!! I went up to customer service to get a scanner and since it was my first time registering inside the store, the customer service clerk gave me a cute little swag bag. The bag contained coupons for Target and other baby-related vendors. I also got some samples, a pacifier and a baby bottle. They really hooked us up! I had an issue with the first scanner they gave me (it would not scan) and the cs clerk promptly gave me another scanner. We didn't spend too long registering for items, as we had just come from Babies R Us (more on them later) and I had previously registered for items on the Target website. But overall, I was very pleased with the way their registry was set up and I cannot wait to come back and register here when hubs and I have our more formal wedding ceremony next year. read more

I didn't see any n the racks by the register I was at so I asked the cashier if he knows if Advil is stocked near the other registers. He said "Advil as in the candy?" I purchased a Chromecast Ultra from this location yesterday. After I got home and opened it, it was missing the power brick, USB cord, and ethernet adapter. Also, there were fingerprints on it already and the package wasn't wrapped in plastic. The box was already open. I paid for a brand new one, not a refurbished one. I'm guessing whoever took it out of the break room or brought it from their house once someone told them it was ordered for in-store pickup, they forgot to put the cords back, or just kept it anyways out of pure idiocy. I will never purchase anything from them again. When I called to ask about it, this ignorant sounding girl told me to call the 1 800 number while snapping gum in my ear. Do not buy anything from here, unless you're the type of person satisfied with partial purchases at full price, and a highly incompetent staff. read more

Birthday Getaway: Coupon #2 Ok, so Target's App "Cartwheel" is a pretty fun way to shop for specific items they have on special and you add those coupons of what your buying to your "cart" of sorts so that at checkout they can scan the barcode and it pulls up all of your "coupons" so to speak. Not only that, they had a lot of promos going on through out the store of if you buy a specific amount, you get a Target Gift Card....which works great if you do that order first, snag the gift cards, and apply it to the next "order" (your other group of items). Its not as complicated as it sounds....so don't talk yourself out of trying at least once (it doesn't take as much time and effort as you might fear). When I hear of mad "couponer's" as they are lovingly referred to, I think of people spending mad amounts of time on digging through the pages of newspapers/magazines, and searching the whole internet for them as well. Target has done a great job of simplifying that with their app, and their in store promos. As far as this visit goes (I have been coming here for years now, and its about time I review it!) the staff members were great. Zach, working the floor, was super helpful with a question I had. Tammy in the baby section sold me on the diapers with the whole 15 dollar gift card promo.....wasn't planning on buying 3 HUGE boxes of diapers....but I know I will need them and wont have to get them again for a while and made 15 dollars while I was at it. I was very pleased with my visit, and really happy with their staff here as well I am a Target fan....you know how most people are either a Walmart person or a Target person (though I guess you could possibly be both) I am definitely a Target gal. However, I like Walmart's Savings App that you scan your receipt, and if they find any lower prices from their competitors you get the difference via an ecard (and it adds up which is great)....Target needs to get on that one :). read more

Has cashiers standing around, but can't cash you out. They want you to use self check out while they watch you like a hawk.

If you were considering to go to Walmart or Target, I'd recommend Target instead. At least for this location, it seems to be a much better experience with fewer "Walmart People". The prices are a bit more expensive, of course, but not having to deal with rude people is sometimes worth it. read more

I bought some heavy book shelves and tv stand and two people loaded it in my suv very carefully and they were friendly.

I love the size of this Target! No matter what we are shopping for, we can usually find it here. They also have a good selection of groceries here, including some produce. The aisles are wide and the product facing is usually neat. Prices are easily seen and displays are tidy and interesting. The employees are friendly and helpful and the store is always clean. All in all, this store is perfect for our needs. read more

I absolutely love Target! This location is so close to my house, and I have never had a problem at all. I am usually here at least twice a week and go here for anything from clothes, gifts, or food. I know I can always find anything I need from here. Plus, Cartwheel and the Target coupons really help bring the down prices of what you're looking for. I really like how it is almost like a Walmart, except without the larger variety of foods and the hassle of waiting in line. The employees are all super nice and approachable. If need be, I can be in and out of the store within 10 minutes (although I usually take my time browsing throughout the whole store). If you want a snack before you go shopping, the Target cafe has typical foods like pretzels and popcorn. They also have some sandwiches and bottled drinks. A Starbuck's location is also conveniently located at the front of the store. read more

In general, I am a huge fan of Target... but I am fed up with this location. There are about 24 cash registers but they only operate maybe 5 or 6 on a busy weekend. The express lane is never open. I have never been here without waiting in line for 10-15 minutes minimum. Frequently there's a Target employee standing next to a lane that's "closed." read more

This location is hit or miss. I love Target and it is one of my favorite stores and pretty affordable for items that are better quality than your local Walmart. I don't know if they have pared down on infant items (clothing and miscellaneous), but I can't ever seem to find much of anything when I go there. My daughter recently had a baby and I was looking for baby gowns and pretty dresses to no avail. The rest of the store is just so-so. I prefer Pembroke and yes...the Norfolk store on Military Highway. read more

This is my #2 Target. The store is great, but the parking lot of this shopping center is drives me crazy. I'm not a frequent Target shopper but I must say that as a customer, first-time or long-time, employees should make them feel welcomed. But this one certain cashier? Dropped the ball on this one. As my brother and I were in line (not a long line, just the person in front and then us) waiting for the woman ahead of us we stood there and looked through the many items in the checkout isle. During that duration, the cashier was being really friendly with the woman she was ringing up. Although they clearly did not know each other. The cashier flashed a big smile and said bye to the woman. Now here's where it got confusing as a customer. The cashier rang our ONE item (obviously not a stressful transaction, right?) She did greet us, but in that "I don't care about your response anyway so don't bother answering" kind of way. There was no friendliness like the woman prior to us. She blankly stated our total and as we were paying she dug into her pocket and took her phone out. She quickly gave us the receipt and without looking at us nor our plastic bag, she carelessly placed our bag on the item belt, not the counter where you place bagged items, but the belt. She looked at her nails without saying "Thank you" "Have a good day" or "Here's your crap, have a good one". I told her "Thank you" but got no response, I said "Have a good day" and she quickly mumbled "Mmhmm.yeah.thanks.youtoo" And maybe she wasn't responding to me, but perhaps her nails. My Target at Edinburgh is terrific. Great staff and stocked well. We go there because the employees are hopeless at the Walmart across the street and there are always so many items not kept in stock (like milk!). No one ever knows where anything is other than the manager, paint department, and sports department. That's why it's a PLEASURE to shop at Target and they aren't that much more. Even the Walmart employees I know go to the Target. Our Walmart is so bad we drive to the other two 3-5 miles away when we really want something; it's faster. I LOVE Target. read more

This has happened to me at different times of day (early afternoon, late afternoon, and evening). I walked in today and walked right back out after seeing the lines.
