They locked the front doors 30 minutes before closing, had to go around to the opposite side of the mall to enter. The security guards on both sides of the mall were telling people Target was closed 30 minutes before they actually closed. Of course they weren't closed, they close at 10pm. And after I checked out and was out of the store 10 minutes before closing her response was "people want to go home". That's a joke, and if any respectable person for target reads this, I hope you take note of what I said. read more

What a nice relief from the over crowded and poorly staffed Atlantic Terminal location. I stopped by the new Target location after work, and was surprised to see that it wasn't crowded. This was great for me, as I could roam around the store without having to bump into people. I asked a sales associate for where I could find a specific item, and he pulled out an app that had the exact number of the aisle. This was super helpful and convenient since I was in somewhat of a rush. So far so good, hopefully Target will keep up with this new and improved standard for its customers . read more

This Target is in close proximity to where I work I unfortunately I don't have a lot of other options. Although this Target is new they out of stock for weeks, employees are rude, extremely unknowledgeable, and unhelpful. For example they have been out of AAA batteries and scrub brush heads for nearly a month. Avoid if you have another Target nearby. read more

Ehhhhh... At first I was excited about this location. Not anymore. Their shelves are never fully stocked regardless of what time I shop. Make sure you know what you're looking for because the staff are unhelpful, often times chatting in groups, hiding between aisles not doing much. Oh and try not to make mistakes at the self checkout because you will wait a decent amount of time for assistance. I hope they improve customer service. And Starbucks at this location is the worst. Why even keep this Target opened - they NEVER have what you need. The simplest things like your generic creamer or cereal. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE - I can almost guarantee they don't have what you need. And don't bother asking the employees for help - they are busy "pretending" to be unloading boxes but really just hanging out and flirting. It's nice to have them in the neighborhood and it's great that they're open until midnight. However, I'm really tired of finding upon checkout that an item in my cart is actually more expensive than the price tag on the shelf said. This has happened to me numerous times here with numerous different items. I'm very careful to confirm that the item I'm picking from the shelf is the same item as the price tag, and yet this still happens. Also the shelves are often very disheveled. Fairly often, there are items on the shelves with broken or deformed packaging. Also the fresh produce is pretty bad. read more

Much better than the junction location. I know every thing is on one floor but it can be difficult to find stuff if you can't navigate. It's clean, everything is stocked and you don't have to look around for items, it's there! Very aggressive security guard was harassing several customers waiting for their ride at the top of the escalator. He denied seating to an elderly women and told my wife not to block the escalator even though she was more than 10 feet from it. Always a good time when I head to target. I always end up buying more than I need. This target is large and while busy with people there are no long lines which is pretty nice. The store is really clean and neat and if you look carefully on certain aisle there are clearance items. There is a large selection of clothing, electronics, patio and garden as well as books. There is also a selection of furniture and food both cold and on the shelves. I just got the target card and I love it I love getting that 5% off each time. Totally worth it with as much as I shop at Target. read more

I'm beyond excited to have a Target literally 2 blocks from my apartment. It's such a nice layout, clean and bright!! Today was my 4th or 5th time back since it opened. Lines are almost none existent. But the employees seem the same as the one at Atlantic Terminal. Not all that polite and friendly. And the vulgarities coming out of their mouth was enough to make me "clutch my pearls". The management needs to maybe better train employees. This store ALWAYS has bare shelves and the employees refuse to check the stock room when you ask them. I rarely Yelp but I live down the street from this Target and almost never find what I'm looking for (even when it says 'In Stock' on the Target app). It's nice and organized and they now offer some fresh foods. Their prices are competitive with local supermarkets, not better. It's definitely smaller than the Atlantic terminal location. I like it except... There's a cashier named Reneisha who was very rude. I'm not trying to pick on her but she needs a bigger shirt. Her belly was sticking out and that's unprofessional. Obviously that doesn't make her rude. What does is that she was making snide comments about the customers waiting on line and walking by. "Can't you see my line is closed?" "Do you see my light on? No, right!" "What is with people? Can't tell if a line is open?" "Keep it moving, I'm closed, go to self check out." "I need a break, (to another cashier) I'm going on break when you go, now". The best is when I asked her to put in a card number because my card doesn't swipe. She sighed like I was asking her something difficult. She sucked her teeth and caught an attitude. I maintained my composure because I was with my mom and law and my sons. Then, she apologizes to the people behind me like my giving you all business and money was a grievance because I was taking a little longer to cash out my $270 purchase. Really? No. I can go to Atlantic terminal and deal with overworked staff members and they'll always maintain a polite demeanor. Overall: Store was nice and neat, prices competitive. This new Target is so bright and shiny! It's better organized, better stocked, and cleaner than the Atlantic/Barclay location. Not to mention that staff is friendly, accommodating, and professional. The store is lovely - clean and stocked. The staff - terrible! They all act like they hate their jobs. 2 recent examples....1) an item scanned at a higher price than it should've and the EYEROLL that I got from the person working on the self check out, as if it was my fault the item scanned wrong. She was so beyond rude about fixing the price. 2) I placed an online order for pick up. I had a feeling this miserable and lazy staff would mess up and they did. I was missing items in my bag (but it was on my order confirmation). She didn't apologize and instead asked ME to go get the item. I refused. She then acted like I was such an inconvenience and went to get the items and it took her a long time. She took her sweet time walking over and i wasted a ton of time standing there waiting for her. The whole point of ordering online was to save time but instead I ended up wasting more time. It really is too bad that people who work here don't give a shit at all. Just downstairs at Trader Joe's, the staff there is so nice and happy - makes me want to shop there. Target Management: find a way to do customer service booth camp or pay your staff more. This review is for City Point and not a specific store there. With the newly added Trader Joe's, City Point can be ones one stop shop for everything they need. But what I love the most about City Point, is the variety of food offered. Omg, my heart and belly upon entering is filled with longing of happiness. The aromas, goodness. There is something for everyone. For those who have a sweet tooth, those that want sushi, burgers, pizza, etc. It goes on. The Alamo is also here and they even show Japanese animals, like come on seriously! Best thing. I usually go to the target in Atlantic terminal mall, but today I decided to check out this location since trader joes is just downstairs; instead of having to drive 10 minutes to trader joes. I will say, it's in a prime location, with many places within walking distance. It's a new store so it's pretty clean and organized; their furniture section is really nice. And the mall it's located in has a food court downstairs. The downside to this is that the area is just so hectic and really busy/crowded, if you're driving don't expect to find parking easily at all. I also noticed this target doesn't have as much selection AND the prices are slightly higher than other targets. I couldn't find a lot of staple items that I normally pick up when I go to target. I was not pleased with that. I did however, really enjoy interacting with one of he customer service agents; she was extremely nice and helpful and she is the reason I'm giving this another star on the rating scale. read more

I had to leave an entire $40 order at the checkout when soda, signed as on sale in the aisle, rang up at full price, Some middle manager should double check that prices marked in the aisle are properly charged when scanned. It's too easy to walk out and buy at the Trader Joe's downstairs for Target to charge on the off chance that consumers will just pay more than advertised sale prices for the privilege. Other than that, I can never find everything on my list and I end up going to a different location later. In short, it is a waste of time. This has been my go to target location since it opened. I've literally spent thousands with this company and this store and today has had to be the worst experience I've had in my life in a retail setting. I was doing a little last minute Christmas shopping and i checked out in the electronics department spending a total of $167 today only to get to the exit and experience racial profiling. I was approached by a security guard asking to see my receipt as several others (opposite race) walked passed with out even being looked at. He examined my receipt for about 2-3 min and then said let me get the extension cord and i thought was a joke so i said no and he then with a serious face said i know you have it give me the extension cord. I said yes i have it i paid for it! And asked are you accusing me of stealing? "He said we seen you" and then one of his fellow colleagues walked also examined my receipt i then asked to speak with a manager. During which time he stops another black women with two carts full as a group of 6 caucasian customers walked by with out so much as a glance. She then said you really expect me to dig this out you don't see all those other ppl and when she did pull out her receipt she also pulled out her badge so without knowing he now also harassed an officer. I asked this man for his name several times and he declined to give it to me. The manager eventually walked up and apologized and offered me a $10 gift card. Like really do you think that makes being racially profiled and accused of being a thief better. He then offered $15 this is crazy to me. I will never shop there again and i hope they lose a lot of business after people see how disgusting the team is at that location. And if a gift card was gonna be offered it should have been for the value of my entire purchase and that jerk of an security officer should be terminated. read more

My purse was stolen at this target on 10/6/20 and when I went to repot it to the staff they got a attitude with me and said they don't know what to tell me. So I tried reporting it to the security guard that stands near the door and when I told her she said I should call 911 and check the lost and found. They didn't show no type of concern for their customer. Then when the police arrived that same security guard got an attitude with the police officers and I and said she can't show us the video because the officers needed paperwork in order for her to show it. I'm very dissatisfied with the customer service, the staff and management. No one even tried to help me and all of them had a look on they face like as if this occurrence was nothing out of the ordinary. I don't think I will show here ever again. DISGUSTINGLY HORRIBLE customer service, one of the worst I've ever experienced. Many of the employees (including managers) are extremely rude and unhelpful. They have a nasty bad attitude and some are so incompetent and slow. I have been misdirected a few times when I needed to return/exchange things and when I needed a price match too. They also roll their eyes, sigh heavily, snicker, etc, for no good reason. Typical of lazy, stupid people who will never succeed in life. Not sure if they think they look "cool" while behaving like dumb idiots, but it's very cringy and unprofessional. Also, most of the things in store have a completely different and more expensive price than advertised on their website and ON THE SHELF ITSELF TOO (at checkout you will find out the product prices don't match with what you saw and sometimes it's just an extra dollar or two so you might not even notice, but of course this adds up eventually). It happens almost every time I shop there, or at least 99% of the time. Gotta be careful so you don't end up paying extra for no reason. Avoid asking the employees for help unless you really have to, otherwise you will waste a massive amount of time. I have had so many frustrating horrible experiences at this location because of the employees' incompetence and inefficiency, I could write a book about it. Lastly, be careful when you order things for pickup and always check that the products are in good condition when you're picking them up because they will not handle your things carefully. One time, I was there to pick up a pillow that I had placed an online order for, and they handed me a dirty pillow with footprints all over it, and it was poorly packaged too. This Target is gigantic but poorly organized. Unless you know exactly where you're going in the store you'll spend way too much time wandering around looking for stuff. And when you find the section, they won't necessarily have what you need. But the prices are cheap, so that's the trade-off. I've often been frustrated here, with the feeling that I've wasted my time. (However, this could also be said of other local Targets that I've been to. Customer service is terrible here. I called before I come to make sure they provide bottles and cans redemption and the lady on the phone said yes and just go to Guest Services. So I brought and went to the Guest Services and a lady there said no and I have to go downstairs. I asked just one level down and she said yes. I went down and of course I don't see any bottles or cans machine. I went back up and another lady said it's outside around the building and guess what the door inside the entrance door is locked. By now I was f****ing pissed and wanted to give up but I've already spent so much time and this would mean they had no idea about this. I called of cos I was a bit mad and they told me the building security suppose to be around to help transfer me back to building security in which they said that's a target door and they had nothing to do with it. I called back , mind you when I asked for supervisor they just put me on hold and I think they recognized my voice and attempted to ignore me. I called once more and manager on duty said they will take it at Guest Services but I told her I was turned away. She agreed to meet me by the entrance but she was no where to be found. Finally one security and another employees helped me after paging Alana and there's no response. I don't know what kind of messages this manager is modeling for their employees and customers. Instead of meeting me for an opportunity to actively resolve the issue, she left and went missing. Shame on you Target and especially the manager!! read more

I was really excited to know that a Target was opening up in this location since this is just 2 stops away on the subway for me. The building itself is beautiful with Dekalb Market downstairs, C21 and Alamo Drafthouse & Cinemas upstairs -- very sleek and modern. I came to this Target 3 times since it's opened and 2/3 times, I've been greeted with terrible customer service. The first time I came, I was picking up a few items and went to the register to pay. The cashier literally looked at me and looked back down at her phone and continued texting. I was like: hello? and she acted shocked and said: OH! I didn't see you... oooook. The most recent time I came here was this past Sunday to pick up an online order (2 water bottles, one blue and one green). I went to the "Order Pickup" line and an employee gives me a stare and said: you're picking something up? And I say yes and she rolls her eyes. She then comes over and takes my ID, doesn't say anything and walks away. She comes back with the water bottles and luckily I decided to check to make sure the items were correct because instead of a green and a blue water bottle, they gave me two blue water bottles. I flagged her down to ask her about it and she said: oh it's probably because we didn't have that color, I mean...does the color really matter? I was taken aback. OF COURSE the color matters, that's why I chose it to begin with. Then she says: oh, well you have to go and find another one and go exchange it. I then had to go around the store to hunt down the water bottle, choose another color and go to guest services. The employee at guest services also rolled her eyes and said she couldn't find my order because I had just picked it up so I would need to wait 20 minutes. I was already annoyed so I basically told her how frustrated I was; meanwhile, she was complaining to her other coworker about their supervisor openly in front of me and other customers. She finally just let me take the other water bottle and I got to leave. For something that was supposed to save me time, ended up wasting more of my time. This store really needs a revamp on their hiring process and actually hire competent customer service oriented employees. read more

I am a frequent customer to Target, but this one particular visit was distasteful. One of the employees named Jason, I believe he was a manager was very rude and nasty. He not only treated the customers like this, but also his associates. He has a sarcastic tone to him that made me very upset and uncomfortable.
