I really love this Target at the Albee Square Mall location. The store is always clean, well-organized, and fully stocked with everything I need, which honestly isn't always the case at other Targets I visit. I've been here at different times of day and it never feels overly crowded, which makes shopping way more enjoyable. The vibe of the store is great, and the layout makes it easy to find things. They recently added self-checkout, and the machines are always working, which is a huge plus. The staff is also consistently friendly and welcoming, from the greeters at the front to employees throughout the store. I also love that they sometimes do fun in-store promotions. During the holiday season, I stopped by when they had a hot chocolate station set up to promote peppermint marshmallows, which was such a nice touch. The other day they were making steamed dumplings which I didn't get to try because they weren't ready by the time I was ready to check out. Overall, this Target stands out for its organization, variety, and quality of items. It's easily one of my favorite Target locations not only in Brooklyn but in NYC. read more

I went here after I saw the Warriors play in Madison Square Garden, and I needed a souvenir for my kid. I looked everywhere and found the perfect thing, "Fugglers" They were these 9 inch stuffed animals with goofy looking bodies and realistic teeth. They also had colabs, like TMNT, DC and others. This Target is everything. First of all, it's massive--like, you could literally get your steps in just browsing. The aesthetic? Spotless and modern, just how I like it. It's right next to my building, which is super convenient (and yes, my building is fancy--why not?). I grab my usual Starbucks as soon as I walk in--one for me and one for my 14-year-old daughter Ellie, who insists on iced everything. It's my go-to spot for groceries, especially when I'm shopping for my husband Steve--he's a bit particular, but Target always comes through. And the mini mall downstairs? Obsessed. I've been to many Targets because Target always has the necessities I want. This Target isn't the biggest I've been to; in fact, it's a bit small considering it's only one floor. Much like any Target, it's easy to find your way around with the help of the signs and, of course, the workers. My main issue with this location is that the rules in this Target are strict. I was about to be denied entry because I looked under 18. That wasn't fun when I really needed to buy more eggs. Of course, once I pulled out my ID, I was let inside, but I couldn't help but feel I was being watched like a target. A majority of Target's merchandise is locked, which is such a hassle when you're in such a rush. You have to practically go out on a bear hunt looking for an employee to help you "unlock the treasure", the merchandise. That experience alone was such a drag, I wondered how it could get any worse. There are NO self-check-out machines here. In other Targets, there are self-checkout stations that make purchasing merchandise quick and easy. Downtown stores like this get a lot of traffic so they are hard to keep clean because the shoppers are monsters and just throw merchandise all over the place with no regard to anyone else, So the store is a bit of a mess...but I was able to find what I needed even though I couldn't find a price tag nearby. But on the positive side, they have scanners around the store so I was able to find the price. I used the self checkout and that was quick and efficient. If you need stuff from Target, this is a decent place but it is not like shopping at one of the pristine suburban Targets so adjust your expectations accordingly. read more

I have visited many of the smaller Targets in NYC in other cities and usually they are a little gem, but this one by far has the least amount of stock that is needed by the community. The most basic of items this location just does not have it, despite it being online. I've wasted many trips here, only having to end up walking to the Atlantic Terminal store. A few perks... they have a nice Starbucks, somewhat friendly employees, clean shopping carts and an easily accessible restroom. This is my "go to" Target when I need something extremely last minute that can't be provided within a timely manner via Amazon or any other neighborhood store. I would recommend going as soon as they open, because the store is quieter and you have a better chance at finding a Target staff member to assist you with opening any items you may need that are locked up in cabinets. (keyword: a better chance which means that there is still a chance of you not finding anyone who is able to assist you with unlocking the cabinets) However, I understand the the reasoning behind a lot of the items being locked up, but once the store becomes busier it becomes even harder to find an associate to assist you. Also, during busier hours you may encounter customers causing a scene. I witnessed a customer slamming glasses plates and vases onto the ground in which the customer was able to walk freely out of the store, because there wasn't any security personnel around. (Although multiple staff members and asset protection did approach the scene) No one asked any of the nearby customers if they were okay as glass flew in the direction that many of us were either walking near or standing within close proximity. read more

I'm a fan of Target, I'm a fan of the location where it's located, but as a whole, I'm not a fan of this particular target. Typically they don't have the best of inventory, it's often difficult to find an employee in the aisles, the items here are more expensive than the much larger Target just a few blocks away at Atlantic Terminal and the lines are often very long at checkout. I think some people may choose this less busy location over Atlantic Terminal; however, be careful what you wish for and best of luck actually finding the items you're looking for. read more

If I could leave less than one star I would, I was racially profiled at this particular target on 2/7/2023. I purchased a few cleaning supplies and 2 ottomans. I used the self checkout lane, scanned all of my items and retrieved my receipt. As I proceeded to exit the store, I was approached by asset protection. He asked if I had a receipt and wanted to it. I showed him my receipt and said to him that he was racially profiling me because I am black. He told me don't take it personal, well it is personal Target! I will post this on every platform. This Target automatically looks fantastic next to the unholy horror that is the Target less than a mile away on Flatbush. It is the slim, tanned "after" picture to the deformed, obese "before" shot that is obviously a different person altogether. It is new. It is clean. The shelves are actually stocked with the vast variety that I'm sure suburban folk enjoy at all their Targets. They've got tons of home goods, toiletries at prices that usually put Duane Reade to shame (even when not in bulk), tons of toys, snacks, sporting goods, clothing of all shapes and sizes, even groceries. The customer service isn't amazing by any means, but self check-out means I don't have to talk to people if I don't want. I definitely prefer to shop local for the majority of these things, but the convenience of one-stop shopping, the solid prices, and decent selection (Harry's razors now!) of so many different things means I don't absolutely loathe setting foot in here. I love the addition of Target at this location. I usually go to the Target in the Atlantic Center/Barclays location--and still do, but this one is somewhat closer. Essentially, most Targets resemble one another. This new location is just one level ( because this one is a Target express) whereas the other Target is a lot larger & bi-level. I am SO impressed with the brand new Target at City Point (or Target Brooklyn Fulton if you're looking online). The location above the DeKalb stop will make it an easy decision to stop in after work. The floorplan makes sense and has plenty of room to navigate, and the big windows let in some really gorgeous light. Everything is on one floor, making it an easier trip than going to the Atlantic-Barclay's location and the setup is just cleaner and better kept in stock. I was especially pleased to see this Target carries a grocery section with basic produce, so if you need milk or bananas or an onion or two, you're totally covered and don't need to make an extra stop. The restrooms also happen to be hidden back in the grocery section if you need it. Prices here are very fair, not upmarked for New York City rents. I price checked vitamins, toilet paper, paper towels, milk, and all of them are cheaper than my CVS and the nearby grocery stores. This location also has a Starbucks inside. I have a feeling I'm going to be here a LOT. I even was able to flag down an associate after I had a question about one of their sales. She immediately stopped to help me and was in a rush, but still very pleasant. Huge improvement compared to Atlantic-Barclays. They have a self check out section which also greatly alleviates the huge line backlog compared to Barclays, although the poor lady staffing that section clearly could use a hand - she was running ragged! read more

I like shopping at this Target for two main reasons. One, it doesn't feel that crowded, even when there are plenty of people around. Second, it's at City Point, so you've got Trader Joe's and DeKalb Market and lots of other great stuff in the same building. Compared to Atlantic Terminal, it's a little bit of a nicer and calmer store, but I think the prices are higher and there's a little less selection. Target is willing to price match against their own website though, even at self-checkout, which to me is worth the time it takes. We haven't had any issues on the price matching so far, and I'm guessing they probably end up doing it quite a bit since the prices here are so much higher. read more

Where can you buy a television and sliced cheese in one store? Target. Well, I didn't come in here looking for a television. I came in looking, as part, looking for a few items because I was running low on breakfast items. Eggs weren't on sale. They were about $2 and change for a dozen. Sometimes they do have them on sale like at the 34th Street location. Let's compare. At Aldi, the Happy Farms 12ct sliced cheese is $2 or $2 and change. At Target the Market Pantry 12ct sliced cheese is $1.60. So, if you like cheese on your eggs like me in the morning. Bam, I did some math and Target cheese saves you a few dimes. I also bought a few towels because a few I had were fading out. That's exactly what I mean, I can buy a few household items and supermarket goods in a once stop shop. In addition this particular location has a CVS Pharmacy and a Starbucks. Located in City Point with access to it via escalator and elevator it's not a hassle to get to. I didn't roam around the entire store. I came for what I needed and left. But there is a restroom. The staff seem to have answered one of my question nicely. Check out in the evening was a breeze. Delivery for $7 is available. After I bought my stuff I sat right outside by the vents in front of the window for a few minutes and the staff did not say a word for me to vacate my sitting there, so it shows the staff is pretty easy going. read more

This is apparently on the other side of the Dekalb Avenue train station (the other side from where my friend used to live). It's located in a very busy shopping plaza but a very NICE shopping plaza. No evidence of riffraff or trashy types here!! This screams an upscale clientele. I found the selection at this one a bit lacking for my purposes that day. To my chagrin, they didn't have Peanut Butter & Company Peanut Butter at all (much less the flavor I like to get). New, clean albeit a bit small compared to some, we were able to get the chips, avocados, and other things we needed for an evening of gaming at home. Holy shit, an actual good Target in Brooklyn. I've lived steps away from the Atlantic Terminal one for years, and it's generally accepted as a horrible place. But this new one at City Point is nice, clean, spacious, and stuff isn't just haphazardly strewn about on half-empty shelves. Plus, they actually sell produce! It's not as big as the other Target, so you won't get as big of a selection on things like furniture and books. Not sure why this Target has such a low rating. It's a Target and pretty much has anything you would need. If it's really specific you might need to hit up a Hardware Store nearby instead but otherwise I've found pretty much everything I've needed here. They also sell lots of great food items too (fresh, frozen and pantry), and discounted from what I've seen at other stores. Store is spaciously laid out (at least for NYC) and also of note: Employees are friendly and helpful! This Target is mostly fine, but they have a weirdly high rate of being sold out of things. Since this place is open late, we'd sometimes try to do a quick late-night run to get basic stuff like paper towels or soap only to find that they're sold out. This happened often enough that we started getting basic staples off of Amazon instead of buying from Target. You can get stuff quicker from a local store if they actually have the thing in stock, but if they don't, the wait from Amazon isn't any longer, plus you don't have to wait in line to check out, and it's cheaper on Amazon half the time anyway. read more

I've always been a Target fan and this Target didn't let me down. As any Target shopper knows, you can get anything on your shopping list and six things that weren't on your list when on a trip to Target (and the prices are cheap enough that you forgive yourself for those half a dozen mistakes). On my latest Target run I bought two shirts and a dress for under fifty dollars, which I thought was a great deal. Target's clothes are cute and fashionable and well made for the cost. By far the worst of the two Targets in DT Brooklyn. Always out of things, meager selection and the shelves are always empty, no matter when you go. Examples: -The bleach and laundry detergent are inexplicably in the same aisle as the drinks, but all other household cleaning items are a mile away. -Only two brands of dish soap available, one of them is Target's Life brand--I decided to try it out but by the time I got to the counter the bottle was squirting (not clear if it's a bad design or the top was broken). The selection of the other brand was very limited in size and type. -Frying pans spread over two half aisles that don't face each other. Why not have them all on the same aisle or at least in two aisles that face each other?You have to circle the aisles to compare products. -Display of women's bra product. When you go to buy the product there's only two stocked. What's the point of highlighting the item if you're not going to stock it? read more

Decided to visit this new Target in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn on Fulton Street to get our son the stuff he needed for school so we parked our car in Manhattan and took the train from there just to come here because of the difficulty we had in the past finding a parking space. It is located in the City Point/ Albee Square shopping plaza with a Century 21, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and Trader Joe's in the same building with more stores coming soon. The store was very clean and organized but seemed like some sections were smaller than other Targets we have been through (for example, only 4 or 5 toy aisles but fully stocked at least). The bathrooms had modernized designs with 1 giant sink connecting all the faucets to a drain. They also carry fresh fruits and vegetables as well as meats. There were plenty of registers and self-checkout stations available so no need to worry about waiting long. One great thing we noticed while finishing checking out was that there was no sales tax, which was great since everything is taxed in LI. Also, when we were at the self-checkout, we received excellent customer service when a shirt didn't have a tag and finalizing a coupon we used. We were both surprised about shopping at this Target but we'll return again if we're ever in the area. read more
