This target is somewhat organized. But, the aisles are not clearly labeled and the hair care is far from the skin care which is odd. They sell groceries, fresh, frozen and boxed, like most Targets but I tend to steer clear. They also have bananas for 19 cents if you're dying for a snack. This Target, like most Targets, greets guest with the putrid smell of fake butter. It disgusts me. The lines here are always long and it's always crowded whenever I come. I went to this Target today to return a couple of items. The lady at the return area was extremely rude! She just stared at me and didn't tell me to come to the counter. I greeted her Hello, how are you and she kept staring and talking to her co-worker. I didn't care honestly but this was just the start she seemed annoyed and was taking it out on me! It's not my fault you work at Target. If you don't like your job get another one. As I put my card in the machine for the refund she yelled my card don't work. No your machine doesn't work it kept giving her issues with my returns and I ended up going to Atlantic with the same card and everything went through. She really needs to work on her customer service and the way she speaks to people because not everyone will be quiet like me. I'm currently doing lent and I gave up arguing and not putting too much energy into things that won't matter the next day but sheesh I almost got out of character! It's maddening how racist this store is. Every time I go in there's at least one employee staring me down like I'm about to steal. In fact, the last time I was there an employee went to the self checkout across from me and stared me down. I didn't even notice them until I was about finished with my transaction. A different employee asked them why they were staring so hard all while laughing and they said something along the lines of just making sure. Of what? Shopping is already hard for me because of my difficulties navigating the aisles, finding what i need, and dealing with the sheer amount of people also running errands. Pretty cool Target it's very similar to its rival: Kmart, Walmart, Bj's warehouse, Costco, Sam goods, CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Family Dollar stores and etc stores, It's located right in City point - Fulton street mall location. I usually shop at Target on Flatbush Avenue and Nostrand Avenue- the junction ( where there have a pizza hut and Starbucks there ) or sometimes I'll go to the one in Gateway mall near Flatlands avenue by the one near Brooklyn-queens borderline. but I love coming here to this target the staff seem pretty ok, the one in Atlantic mall is not bad neither. this target in city point -Fulton street mall is very convenient because there lot of stores around like Century 21 department store and their high-end upscale stuff high-end alamo-drafthouse movie theater with leather recliner seats in the city point as well on the Fulton street mall strip . and plus there Starbucks inside this target I wouldn't mind coming back here !!!! very convenient by the MTA transportation: Subway: 2,3-Trains. Not a fan of all the Downtown Brooklyn changes, but at least this Target is a gleam of light among all this. Still the best Target in the immediate area, the City Point location is well stocked and open very late. At night , you see the employees always restocking all the shelves. The place is run pretty efficiently. As usual, the proof is in the pudding as this place is only been open for a few months. Come this time next year, see how well this location flows. I love Target. It's a place where you can go and find anything you need. I've never had any issues at any other Target I've been to but when you come to this Target and ask for help the employees always seem annoyed, they either tell you they don't know where something is or tell you to go to an aisle and when you get there the thing you're looking for is not there! One time I asked an employee for help and she had her AirPods on talking on the phone and then seemed annoyed she had to stop her conversation to help me. So let's talk about how this Target is trying to scam you out of your $$$. Recent reviews have noted this issue as well, but I'm here to back them up and provide literal receipts as proof. This Target is HORRIBLE at: 1) not pricing their items, especially in the grocery department; 2) items not scanning at the sale price; 3) items scanning higher than the price on the shelf. 2 of these 3 issues will literally cause you to pay more money at the register. I'm in here once a week and I NEVER make it out without needing a price correction. It's gotten to the point where I now take photos of the sale signs and shelf price just in case. Today was the last straw. I go in looking for two items, lotion and deodorant. I take pictures of the prices listed on the shelf for both items and proceed to find a working self scanner (ha, good luck with that). The lotion, which the label on the shelf says is $5.99 rings up as $6.49. I go to the checkout ready to show the evidence of this latest mistake. The young lady responding to the self checkout lanes (and it kills me that I didn't get her name but I made SURE to point her out to a manager and more than a couple of coworkers during my in-store rant) comes over and when I tell her that the lotion rang up incorrectly and show her the picture, she announces that I'm wrong, I didn't take a picture of the right label. Now, I used to work at Target many lifetimes ago so I know how to read their labels and I made sure that all the numbers and sizes matched up (see the photos I took and notice the numbers on the receipt matches the number on the label below the "unit price"). I know I'm right but this employee completely dismissed me, tells me I'm WRONG, and then acts like she's doing me a favor for reducing the price. I insist I'm right and, again, here's proof, but she tells me rudely that "You took a picture of the wrong spot and when I'm done, I'll go show you the correct price." Challenge accepted! Of course she couldn't be bothered to walk over herself so I find an employee working in that area and unload (wish I had gotten a name but shout out to him for actually displaying good customer service). He confirms that I was correct and that NOTHING on that shelf was properly labeled (surprise surprise). So I, being thoroughly fed up at this point, go to a manager and explain not only what just occurred by all the past issues I've encountered with pricing at this store. I told them how rude the self checkout lane employee was for immediately discounting my proof and stating I was wrong and told them how this is a weekly issue for me. I told them that I used to work at Target so I know how to read the label and was no dummy in that regards. And I told them that in stores with GOOD customer service, when an item rings up incorrect, the customer is often given that item for free as a "mea culpa" for the mistake on their end. This Target would go bankrupt if they ever took up that policy. The supervisor/manager I spoke with apologized and hopefully they'll do something to get these consistent issues fixed because it's been getting worse since I started shopping there in the fall (haven't they been open for less than a year?). I will for sure be forwarding this same review to corporate or whatever official I need to get ahold of to make sure I'm heard. And I'll give them one more shot to get it right and god help them if they don't because of these mistakes keep occurring and these employees keep being rude, I won't forgot to take names next time. TL; DR: Take photos of all prices and sale signs because items will NOT ring up properly at checkout and employees will come at you rudely instead of doing their job and fixing the problem. read more

The store itself gets 4/5 stars since there were some empty shelves when I went, but the extra star in this review is a shout-out to customer service associates KD and Ari. They helped me re-ring up and schedule delivery for an online pickup order that ended up being too large for me to carry home with a bad shoulder. (Yeah, I know, I overshot it. It's Target.) I was so disappointed in my last trip to this Target. I hate giving "bad/negative" reviews but it needs to be done sometimes. Okay first off, the organization could be better. They constantly have men's shoes in the women's shoes section. So look carefully at what you are picking up!!! I went on a weekend, because it was the only time I had available. Even though I hate going to Target on the weekends. I really needed a shelf/storage unit for my apartment. I knew exactly what I wanted. I wanted the Target Room Essentials brand, cubby shelf unit. I wanted two different styles. A 3 cubby and a 9 cubby. Didn't really matter the color. I specifically looked up at this location to make sure they had what I needed in stock. I get there and there was nothing! I tried to find an employee, found one and was told what's there is there. (Totally get it, I've worked places like this before) Well I was bummed, I made the trip all the way there, after checking to make sure, and they didn't have what I needed. So I thought I would get myself a Starbucks as a treat since I was there. I didn't want the trip to be a complete waste. This location is terrible. Asked if they had Bronner's soap; no one knew. When i was at the cashier two items rang up at a higher price than the prices on the shelves. The cashier told me that I would have to leave the register, go take pictures of the prices on the shelves to bring back to her!! Unbelievably bad service policy! I've already done my shopping, why should I have to waste my time fixing their mistakes! Shelf prices are 8 out of 10 times different from the computer check out price (as in cheaper on shelf and on cartwheel/target app but $1 or more expensive per item when u check out.). When you question them, they give you a hard time saying they don't know anything and that I should take it up to customer service counter. Well, no one at the counter... Comparatively excellent Target, which is a dream come true for anyone who has experienced the hell that is the Atlantic Center Target. This location is smaller, but is much less crowded, there are basically no lines at check out, and the merchandise is kept very tidy. They have a large food department with fresh veggies and to go meals, but are often sold out of essentials like milk and eggs, especially on weekends. The employees are not very friendly, and have never been able to show me where certain items are when I've asked, which has been frustrating. The employees in the drugstore/cosmetics section are particularly clueless. The layout of the store is a little strange and I have noticed that items are often stocked in random locations, depending on where there is space, so it can be hard to find things. For me, the location in the City Point shopping center is a huge bonus, as there is a Trader Joe's in the basement and I can do grocery shopping and Target in one trip. The shopping center also has a pricey food market and other upscale stores, many of which have yet to open. Since City Point is still pretty new, I'm scared that everyone will find out about this awesome Target and it won't be so peaceful and pleasant anymore. So stay away!! read more

Well this is what my life has become, I'm writing reviews for Target at 10PM on a Friday night. This Target is good and I prefer it over the Atlantic Center location because that one is crazy. I like that this is one floor, especially if you have a stroller. The sections seem to be a little smaller than Atlantic Center but they have pretty much everything you need. Also, they have a meat and fruits/vegetable section which Atlantic Center was lacking. Their employees are nice, returns are always quick and they have lots of self checkout for when you don't want to talk to anyone. My husband pretty much won't go into Atlantic Center Target with me unless he pops a Xanax but I took him into this location at City Point and he survived without self medicating. That says a lot. I'm giving it 4 stars because I spend too much money at Target and hold them responsible. read more

I typically frequent the Target in Atlantic Mall and Flatbush Junction, but this location is welcomed considering its appeal to young adults and professionals through the room decor. Found this Target by accident. I was meeting a friend to see a movie at Alamo Drafthouse & to my surprise there's a Target in the same building. I stopped in to kill some time waiting for my friend & because this Target is the only one is Brooklyn that had an item that I had been looking for for quite some time. The layout is weird. I was using the app to locate something in the hair care section. When you walk in you start off in section H or something. Took me a while to find my section, with no help from the employees. Didn't bother to ask because they all did that "let me avoid eye contact so she won't talk to me" look away or there were having a loud & inappropriate conversation. First off, it's hard to hate Target. I mean it's Target for crying out loud! The place you go for one item and leave for 30 items instead. You hate it for that but you gotta love it at the same time. This new target is super convenient and much much much cleaner than the Atlantic Mall location. Plus, it's never super crowded no matter what time of the day you go. The store is a little weird to move around in as the aisles aren't as organized as the Junction Target or Atlantic Target and it's smaller than both of those stores. I also noticed that this location's cosmetics section is a little bit more pricer than the other two stores. Not by a huge margin but they added a few extra cents. But other than that, the store is bright, clean, and usually has everything in stock. My biggest gripe about this location is that the bathrooms are right next to the fresh grocery section. I was just there and politely asked a female worker, may I ask you a question please? She replied as if I cursed at her and she was just also ready to punch me I. I just like the convenience of this location. There is a Starbucks, with a smattering of seating in here, and every check out had only 2 or fewer people in line. This is couple with a large amount of "Self check out" kiosks. Convenience is key in this growing Brooklyn hub. read more

This Target has gotten progressively worse since that person got murdered in front of where the carts are inside the store. The staff is unattentive and basically are paid to stand around and talk to each other. There are rarely workers who man the lanes, but they'd rather just direct you to the self service section, where you are forced to scan and bag your own items like you work there! FOR FREE. Talk about a scam. On top of this, self check out lanes take away jobs from people who actually care to work. The only people that I have seen truly work are the older Caribbean ladies that work the front. Target has these more mature women working much harder than the 23 and 24 year olds that work there. I think they may have lost my business for good. Go downstairs and purchase your items from Trader Joes - a store that has plenty of people working and not one self service kiosk. read more

I love this store and shop here almost everyday because I live across the street. However the baristas in the morning are awful. I went to Starbucks last week because I was running late and I knew the lines would be short. I stood there with no one else in line for a good minute while the guy on register stared at me and two other employees were doing nothing. So I began to order in which he goes oh what. So I repeat it and then he begins to loudly have a conversation with the other employees and stops making my drink. He continues talking and hands me the wrong order. So I said that's not what I ordered. He annoyingly makes me a new one and slides it across the counter and walks away. No I'm sorry no here ya go nothing. I am never going back to the Atlantic Avenue Target. Even though the Atlantic Avenue Target is quicker for me to get to. As of this review, I've been to this location maybe 4-5 times. I'm wondering if people don't realize that there's a Target at City Pointe, because when I go it's barely full with shoppers. Which is fine by me. Everyone can stay at the Atlantic Avenue location. I live on the A/C line in Brooklyn, and this new Target is near Jay Street/Metrotech and also Hoyt (2/3). The Atlantic Avenue Target is near Lafayette Station, and since the C is so slow, it's always sucked to go to that Target. This Target is easy to navigate, has friendly staff, and is stocked with produce, a nicer Home selection, a CVS pharmacy and a Starbucks. There's also a nice balance of self checkouts and staffed checkouts. I also enjoy the smaller shopping carts. Now, I just need City Point's Trader Joe's to open.... read more

Already a frustrating experience. We drove over on Saturday but realized there was no parking garage so we didn't go inside and went to the Atlantic Ave location instead, where we could park. I sent my husband back on Sunday to the Albee location to pick up an online order. It was nearly 11:00 pm by the time he arrived and the guest services rep gave him a hard time about not being on the pickup list, although I added him that afternoon and his name was listed on my screen. They close at 12 am. I ordered for pickup because it was a product that I needed that night so having to deal with incompetence at 11:00 pm was frustrating. Eventually, after putting me on speaker phone to explain that I'd added my husband to pick up the order hours ago, the guest services person miraculously found his name and gave him the order. The only reason he ended up there is because the Atlantic Ave store didn't have it in stock (he checked that morning). I may go back on my own to check it out but I don't have much confidence that it will be a great customer service experience although I suspect the lines won't be as long at Albee since Atlantic Ave has far more subway lines plus the LIRR. We went a second time on Sunday afternoon and had a better experience. It's not crowded at all. The natural & textured black hair care section is disappointing given this huge store and the demographics of the neighborhood. This target follows LA's City Target model, which is perfect for the neighborhood. If you're looking for your standard enormous big box store, this is not the place, but if you're looking for all of the Make-My-Life-Easier benefits Target provides, this spot is a godsend. Every time I've gone in it's been clean, organized, and most importantly NOT CROWDED. I don't know how the store manages it but I hope they're able to keep it up -- once people catch wind of this place I'm worried it will fall into disarray. It's part of the City Point complex, on the second floor, with entrances on Flatbush and Albee Square (basically follow any of the large signs for Trader Joe's, Target, or Alamo Drafthouse). I've had friends try to go to this location who wound up heading down Flatbush to Atlantic terminal (...aka purgatory, honestly, why even bother...). Don't let the mall layout confuse you! read more

I was in this store on Tuesday 12/18/18 late afternoon. I went to originally get the coffee press with two mugs which I actually found and purchased 2. I also, saw the slim fit Chino slacks and asked an associate if they had any of the mustard yellow in a 36/32 but, was told NO before I finished saying 36. Then, I grab a crew neck sweater off a table marked crew or V neck sweaters $15. But, the darker yellow crew I picked up rang up $34.99. I asked a Mmale associate walking by if it was on sale and he said NO and proceeded to take it off and snatched sweater and walked away. I don't know about the training at this location or who is supervising but, I am going to stop being so easy going when shopping here and give them exactly the same customer assistance attitude they give me. read more

What a nice relief from the over crowded and poorly staffed Atlantic Terminal location. I stopped by the new Target location after work, and was surprised to see that it wasn't crowded. This was great for me, as I could roam around the store without having to bump into people. I asked a sales associate for where I could find a specific item, and he pulled out an app that had the exact number of the aisle. This was super helpful and convenient since I was in somewhat of a rush. So far so good, hopefully Target will keep up with this new and improved standard for its customers . read more
