Target is what you would Expect from a Target. When you walk I there is a Starbucks. The store is large and clean. They have a food section. I have never bought food here so I can't comment. I made some purchases in the electronics section and the workers there have always been helpful and friendly. Overall it is what you would expect from a Target. Don't forget to download the Target app and look for cartwheel deals. read more

I am writing to report repeated violations of New Jersey food safety regulations at the Bridgewater Target. On multiple occasions, I have observed milk being offered for sale past its labeled expiration date, which is prohibited under N.J. Admin. Code § 8:21-10.20. This regulation clearly states that milk may not be sold after 11:59 p.m. on the expiration date. Most recently, on April 28, I observed numerous containers of Tuscan Low Fat Milk on store shelves with an expiration date of April 22, 2026--nearly a full week past the legal cutoff. The quantity and visibility of the expired product suggest this is not an isolated oversight, but a recurring issue with inventory control and compliance. Given the potential public health implications, I respectfully request that this matter be investigated and that appropriate corrective action be taken to ensure compliance with state law. read more

Target - Department Stores Near Me - Bridgewater, New Jersey

Looking for something? It's probably not there! The employees do not go out of their way to help you and nothing is in stock. Map on the app is not updated. Employees don't even check in the back. read more

The store has normal selection of items, low employee rate and as a person with anxiety, creeps me out a bit. store is good. 2.5 at max.

If it's in stock it's easy. Some could say lazy! lol. There's some times you just don't want to deal with other humans and this is perfect!! usually enjoy this on a weekend or rainy day! Sometimes it's fine to be lazy!! read more

Today I had the worst experience at any store I've ever been to. I saw that purchasing online through the target app many books were cheaper but exclusively online, but I was already at the store and had the book in my shopping cart. So I ordered for target pickup on my phone and took all the items to the pickup area because I thought they would be able to just confirm that they picked out all the items and make there job easier. At the desk a racist white guy said that I would have to wait the 2 hours (which I was okay with, I would just came back later that day). Then he proceeds to tell me to cancel the order pickup and that he'll just adjust the prices there. So I cancelled the order pickup and he started to ring me up on the register. Midway through my wife that looks Hispanic comes and his demeanor changes. Then later he says that this is taking too long and that their is a line and that it was my fault because I supposedly told him that I was going to cancel my order and force him to ring me up with the price adjustments (mind you I don't work at target and I didn't know that was possible). After that he just loses his composure and starts to raise his voice at me and voids my transaction and snatches the toddler books out of my hands and tells me to leave( again I didn't do anything I was just standing there, absolutely no reason for him to get angry). I went looking for a manager because that was unacceptable especially because I brought my one year old toddler and all of those books I was buying were for him. The manager was great and tried to fix the situation, but this will still be a 1 star because of how disgusting his behavior was and how discriminated I felt. I been a faithful target shopper for years I have their credit card and also the paid subscription of target 360, but no longer want to go because of that encounter. read more

I love this target! It was recently remodeled, and it feels like a completely different store! It has a new modern touch to it causing me to spend more time, and money there. (No complaints here) I come to this location for all of my basic necessities. Target has everything that you could possibly want, and need! This location even has some fresh produce which is a plus! I am a huge fan of both their clothing section, and shoe section! For all of you coffee lovers there is also a Starbucks inside! For the most part the store is always clean. When they first remodeled there were definitely some unorganized areas, and kinks that needed to be worked out. I believe that the store has gotten into the swing of things now, and will hopefully maintain the cleanliness. Definitely try out this target if you haven't been here already! read more

I was in dire need of SoftSoap and I decided to do a Target run with my coworker today. To my surprise they had Belly on 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc! I've been looking everywhere for this movie and I snagged the last copy! Target is always full of surprises like that. I only wish they had Jerry Maguire (an Everything Is Terrible staple) and Serial Mom on 4K UHD BD too. Aside from the various entertainment goodies I find decent Target brand clothing always. They're my go to shop for dress socks and spiffy underwear by the raccoon brand (I forgot the name). Also, best of all for EV owners there are a few charging stations set up for Mercedes-Benz EQ owners like myself. read more

I placed an order online for an instore pickup. They had what I ordered and were very friendly. I always try and come to this location whenever possible. They have a good selection and always have great values here. read more

Not a bad Target, but not the best. Wish it was a Super Target because the grocery selection is lacking. I use curbside pick up frequently, and it's sometimes an interesting experience. There is 1 particular male employee will doesn't seem to enjoy his job and will literally throw things in your vehicle unbagged, (he threw the water so hard it busted), and he won't greet you or tell you he's finished loading. He left my car door open which made me think he was coming back. I ended up having to check everything and figured out he was finished. He's very rude and has an unpleasant look on his face. The other employees are friendly and I usually have a decent experience with them which I appreciate. read more

This may seem weird, or maybe there are a few out there that understand; but what I love about Target most is their shopping carts. If you have pushed enough shopping carts in different stores, then you will definitely appreciate the smoothness and effortlessness of their carts. The wheels are never broken or bringing attention to you as you walk through the aisles. Actually, I had to replace an item on one of their shelves pretty loudly just so this lady in front of me knew I was in the aisle with her. I could have also just told her, "excuse me" so I can pass by, but I'm trying to prove a point here. I do think the quietness and smoothness is a combination of their carts and their floors. All the Targets seem to be opening Starbucks within their stores, however I would like to know if they are staffed by Target employees or Starbucks baristas since I have yet to enjoy a decent cup there -and I love Starbucks. Their women's clothing section isn't bad. I bought a nice sweater from there the other day. Also, I picked up a warm, cute hat and gloves. I can get lost in their houseware and home furnishings department. I have no patience for their lines, so I try to only shop there at night. They close at 11 pm Mon-Sat. read more

I'm giving a star because the employees are super nice but seriously, what happened to Target? Self check out is closed Saturday morning???? Produce section was out of stock on basics like no cabbage to be found and berries looked old. All the clothing is for 20 year olds and so much of the store is now dedicated to make up and beauty products. Who needs that much eyeliner? Shoe section is a mess and why aren't the dressing rooms ever open??? Such a shame Target You used to be my favorite place to shop read more

I want to preface this by saying - my experience with the in store Target employees went well - it was corporate that deserves a negative rating. On March 15th I went to the DBF x Target event at the Shed in NYC. A few important notes: 1) there were no changing rooms at the event 2) normal receipts were not given out - they texted a link for a receipt 3) this was a 2 day pop up so I couldn't go back to the same spot and make any returns, I would have to go to a different store. I go to a Target store today (March 30th) - 15 days later to try and return these items, thinking I had the normal-Target 90 days to return these items. I'm told I am 1 day late and I only had 14 days to return these items. Keep in mind, this was never communicated to me at the pop-up and not included in the receipt link. They could only offer store credit. I then call Guest Relations and they say if I go back to the store (more than 30 min drive away), they could see if there's something they could do. Then I call the store to see if this is true and they said if I come back they'll see what they can do. I drive all the way back to the store and the Store Manager says there's nothing they can do. Then I call Guest Relations again and they say there's nothing they can do. I spent at least 5 hours of my day dealing with this and I am sick of Target - a company with a good reputation that seems well-off - treating its customers in such a secret manipulative way. Policy's need to be clearly communicated - why not just shop at Amazon if Target customer service has no interest in helping their customers? I will not shop at Target again. read more

Absolutely miserable shopping experience today . Only one check out lane open. Of course the self check is open but if your self and have more than one item your jammed in a tight space- great for Covid- fumbling. Won't be back. read more

My wife went in to buy three items. She noted the prices of all three, as there were on the shelf/racks with the other such items. She went to pay and all three items had higher prices once scanned. She alerted the worker of the difference and was told maybe it was in the wrong location (and all the rest of the same such items, yeah right) My wife went back to check once more, everything was exactly where the store stocks them, not the wrong location. This is not the first time we have noted this. The last time my wife and I were told by the worker the same nonsense that maybe we saw the wrong price because maybe the items were not in the correct location. This store will try to nickel and dime you (more like a dollar more). Check your prices on the shelves and once more at check out and let's keep this corporation honest!! read more

Has the potential to be such a great store. Clothing. Pharmacy. Food. Etc. UNTIL you get to the cell phone area. Apparently that's a separate entity. I brought my 86 yr old father in to buy a phone. Not a salesperson in sight. In the whole damn store. I picked up the phone, and a mgr finally appeared after numerous irritated walkie talkie conversations w the one sales associate we found. He couldnt dump us fast enough. "The cell phone section is not run by Target. ..... and the person in charge is apparently on a break til 1230. ". And???!!! We were there to purchase a phone. Couldn't even look at models as they were missing/stolen from the display. Needless to say. A miserable FAIL all around. Went to Best Buy. They were more than helpful. read more

Ok, had to really think about this review. I really took time and, looked in every department. They do carrier everything at this store plus have an amazing Starbucks with GREAT costumer service. They have make up, food, art, electronics, cell phones, books, the list goes go on. One thing is I find this store very over priced. ..Lines can be very long and, slow. They always treat their clients with respect. They have a huge fitness section. Again, I am on a budget and, feel this store can be pricey for me. They have a section with Vegan skin care and, essential oils. There's nothing they don't sell here but I honestly won't shop heavy here because I know I can get if for cheaper. There new food court is great A pizza Hut and, fancy starbucks. read more

You might not want to Christmas shop here if you'd like to preserve your holiday spirit . You'll end leaving discouraged and filled with rage towards the depression that fills the hourly wage employees who will toss the precious gifts you are buying with your hard earned $ Walk away from the register leaving them unbagged Ignore you BLATANTLY if it's close to closing Hand you a ROLL if you ask for a BAG . Take the 15 min ride to target in south Plainfield instead . I really liked this Target. This store is large, but good large, and has everything. Electronics, clothes, food, it has a Starbucks, cookware. You name it. Everything is a t a good price, and everything is nicely organized here! The store definitely was very well stocked, and the store was very full. I did not see any empty shelves. I've been to many other Targets, and none of them are like this one! This Target has everything that you will need at a great price! read more

Dear Target - I stopped in this past week to look at women's shoes - the selection is so weak and so slim. The new layout is very clumsy and the store was in complete disarray. Clothes all over the floor by the fitting rooms in the women's section, empty shelves by beauty section and - quite frankly - crappy merchandise! Target , you have gone so far downhill! This new design at bridgewater location is a Fail. Sincerely, Former Bridgewater Target Shopper P.S. - I brought in a cart and was so turned off by the condition of this store, I just abandoned it and did an about face and left. read more

Let me tell you about starbuck in target. Target need to give there employees training. The short girl with dark hair and glasses. You should be shame of yourself. I ordered and passion ice tea. She never helped the her co worker . She just stood there having conversations and with the customer. Waited 20 min. Her co worker was doing cash register and doing orders. I have asthma and i was dying of thristy plus my mouth so dry from wearing mask. I finally got my ice tea . Put the straw under my mask to take drink. The short woman yelled told me go out of the store to drink my ice tea. I will never buy anything from this store again. But she never yelled at the guy who pulled his mask down to drink his ice coffee. I hope she never has health issue read more

ordered online to pick up via "drive-up" since the website emailed me that it is "ready for pickup". I was able to get the blouse that i wanted but they gave me a Large instead of small. I had to walk inside wait in-line for 5 mins or more since customer service that has 3 or 4 cashier but only one person can work on that department. Please train your employee to double check the item before scanning the item as ready for pickup. I wouldnt mind if it is not ready asap but it was very inconvienient experience. I was expecting Target would be a good one but i didnt keep their standards high that much.. So disappointing.. it was a weekend so they will expect more people would come to store and shop around. If possible please have more people on the returns section if you can't fix the "detail-oriented" issues .. read more

It is 2022. More than a year after it has been irrefutably proven that covid does not spread through trying on clothes, yet the fitting rooms remain closed "for your safety and ours." I have hundreds of dollars worth of gift cards I can't use. I gained 20 pounds and wouldn't even be able to make a guess on my size. I drove half an hour, was encouraged by no masks, and still, no fitting rooms. It is absolutely ridiculous. Target, which I liked because of the cheap and nice clothing selection is no the worst clothing store in the world. I wish I could return my gift cards for cash. I don't ever want to give them my patronage again. read more

One of the girls in self check out was nice but I didn't appreciate the other one hovering over me while I'm trying to reset my password just to clip a coupon. I explain to her that my phone is slow because she's asking if she could help and she just says I can't do anything about that but the reason I'm explaining is because she's all up in my space while I'm just trying to self check myself out !!!!! An overall uncomfortable experience. There's a reason why people go to self check out right ? To not deal with people..... I felt like I was being profiled. So from now on I'll just go to Walmart. read more

Love it! All the employees are super friendly and helpful when you actually give them a chance. Yelling about things never helps.

I waited nine minutes for a sales associate in the electronics dept. to open a case. The store appears woefully understaffed and its employees beleaguered. Spoke to a manager who said she "over staffs" but many employees call out. I wonder why. I will not return to this store. read more

The worst target I've been to in New Jersey. I went this weekend because I was in the area and had to pick up a few things... huge mistake, I should have just went to the one in Edison like I normally do. First of all they had way too many people in the store as we're literally in the middle of a pandemic. Second of all the amount of people who were walking around without masks was ridiculous. No employee or security personnel said anything to these customers either. The lines were ridiculous and unorganized. No one was directing anyone and it was literally a giant cluster of lines merging into each other. People were ontop of each other and once again many of these people did not have masks on, and no one seemed to care. I will never be returning to this store, very dissappointed and honestly disgusted with this Target. Do better. read more

Last week I returned 1 item ( or tried too) that I bought through the app; so I had paid for it allready and picked it up at the Watchung store. I brought it to the super unorganized customer service area of the store along with two other transactions they did first. Those were done first. Next was the item in question. I told them I purchased it, and picked it up and showed he the email. The woman then asked to see another email, apparently there is a second email to close the process. I never got it. I told her I just picked up my items , they were scanned, and left. My younger daughter was not interested in the toy, so I figured I'd return it for store credit since I'm always there anyway. The woman rang it up, and said it had never been processed through the system. When I asked what she meant, she said that she never rang it out of the system or store. I told her that the cashier rang it up, gave it to me, and that was it. But she told me that I never paid for it because when she rang it, somehow it said the order was "cancelled" at 4am. So I told her to just keep the stupid thing. So next she called her supervisor over and asked what to do about the other toy that I had at home. I said you expect me to pay for a toy I have proof that I ordered? That I can guarantee there is video survalence for? She said... "well it's up to you if you want to pay for the item or not. But your child does have it, and is playing with it". How the hell am I supposed to react to that? Basically calling me a thief! I said that maybe they should train their employees a little better, and that I would pay for it. What kind of app is this that @Target is running when someone pays for something, has the webpage to show it and has this happen to them at the store??? I certainly will not be returning to this store. And I will be sure to share my experience with others. read more

Although Target debuted their new layout a while ago. They seem to still be struggling to transition into a full functioning store. We went again today and did find everything we needed but it took twice as long because either items were out of stock or not in a logic place. Adult mouth wash was in a completely different row from tooth brushes/floss/children's toothpaste/children's mouth wash. Why a completely different isle?!? Just doesn't make sense to me. Also we struggled to find the infant tooth paste brand that we always buy. In the old layout, we used to be able to go back to the baby section and find it near the teething toys section. Today they didn't have it in either the kids tooth needs in pharmacy or the baby section. We couldn't even seem to find someone who worked there that wasn't at a cashier position. Needless to say we found about 75% of our needs and will have to go somewhere else to get the rest. I go back bc I keep getting gift cards but I get frustrated because of lack of stock/empty shelves. read more

MOBILE PHONE DEPT REVIEW: * Went in to exchange current phone for new model (Samsung Galaxy 3 to Samsung Galaxy 4). Representative ended up not knowing how to back up/transfer my photo gallery over to the new phone; didn't know how to back up and transfer the entire contact list to the new phone (1/2 of the contact list is now deleted; didn't know how to move the text history over to the new phone. took an extra 45 minutes waiting to find out the representative couldn't complete any of these steps. so I was left with leaving target and going to Verizon to have them assist me (which they did). * Unfortunately, the new phone had the following issues: everyone I called said they couldn't hear me/sounded like I was in a tunnel; when I put the speaker on they said they were hearing their voice bounce back into them like an echo every time they spoke. so after hearing this from many people, I went back to Target for a replacement to the replacement phone (BECAUSE you can only exchange the phone at Target). * I received the replacement to the replacement phone from a different Representative who was helpful/patient with the 1+ hour long replacement process steps that Target and Verizon have in place. BUT the replacement to the replacement phone ended up having the same issues as the 1st phone!!! After 2 hours of dealing with the same issues after receiving the phone from Target, I called up the Mobile Dept and asked the same Representative to talk to me. He said when he spoke with the phone on speaker he heard his voice bouncing back, and also confirmed that he could hardly hear me when I spoke into the Phone. * I let the Mobile Dept Rep know I was coming back to Target to exchange the replacement to the replacement phone for the same issue. He said the following (and everyone should understand this policy if you have a problem with your 1st replacement phone/come back for another replacement and it doesn't work and you want another replacement): TARGET'S POLICY IS TO ONLY ALLOW A CUSTOMER TO HAVE 1 REPLACEMENT/EXHANGE OF A PHONE. AFTER THE REPLACEMENT/EXCHANGE IS MADE, AND YOU RECEIVE THE NEXT REPLACEMENT PHONE AND THERE IS A PROBLEM: YOU CANNOT RECEIVE A REPLACEMENT FROM TARGET AFTER THAT. YOU MUST CALL THE MANUFACTURER OF THE PHONE/TALK TO THEM/SEE IF THEY WILL SEND YOU A REPLACEMENT. I was not told this when I came back to the Target Rep with a problem with the 1st replacement phone. If I had known the above, I would have switched carriers and went with a HTC or IPHONE instead of going back to the Samsung Galaxy 4 Model again just to eliminate the possibility the Samsung Galaxy 4 had speaker or some other type of issues. The Mobile Dept had 0 customers in the Dept for the 1+ hours I was there the 1st time, and 0 customers the 1+ hours I was there the 2nd time (the 1st time in the weekday afternoon; the 2nd time in the weekday evening). There is probably a good reason for that based on the overall experience I had not only with the Reps but the phone issues as well. read more

I love this Target in all respects, except the changing room setup. If you have a cart full of items, you have to leave it outside the changing room area, with no one around that really keeps an eye on things. So on 3 occasions in one month when I have gone into a dressing room, I exit to find things I have selected to purchase in my cart missing. The changing room attendants indicate they have not returned items to the rack, but since it is unattended, patrons to the store seem to think they can rummage through your cart and pick out items that you had already tried on to purchase. It is very frustrating. Other than that, the store has their act together. read more
