This is a small mom-and-pop shop that has the best customer service with an amazing staff. I might be biased because I have been coming here for a bit, but they're truly the best. The inside has so much character, with Polaroids of friends, family, and customers lining the store, plus lenses, cameras, and film available to shop. They also do custom framing inside, or you can buy the frames they have up on the shelves. I dropped off my film and within two weeks I was getting a call that it was ready--it was super fast and all my pictures turned out great and not super expensive. I also love that you can ask them any questions regarding cameras, how to use them, or if you're just curious, and they are always ready to help out. 10/10 recommend supporting them instead of going to a chain

My sister and I have portraits of ourselves made of felt material on ceramic plates edged with…read morepaint. The plates are over 55 years old and show every bit of their age. I brought the plates to LA Frame to be refurbished and shadow-box framed. Upon entering the store, George, the owner, greeted me, and the wonderful experience began. It was obvious that he was proficient, patient, and had a welcoming and pleasant demeanor. His guidance in helping me select the frame, matting, and glass made the process easy. The exposed portions of the plates were expertly cleaned. The felt portions were cleaned but still maintained an appreciated aged appearance. The weathered painted plate edges held their character. My sister's shadow-boxed plate was a birthday gift for her. The happiness this brought to her lifted my heart with joy. My shadow-boxed plate is hung on my bedroom wall. The boxes are so beautifully done. You know when you look at something and it conjures up wonderful memories from your youth, and you experience happiness from the beauty of looking at it, that's what I have from my work of art. If you have anything you treasure that the skills and services of LA Frame can fulfill, rest easy with it in their care.

The owner of the shop was immediately helpful, making suggestions on how best to photograph the picture and he even set up an easel and cleared a space in the display room. Wow! I finished my work before the Picasso owner arrived and I learned that he had been using this framing shop for not just years, but decades. The atmosphere was NYC chic but the pretension level was zero ... customer focused, problem solving, and friendly. I took advantage of the owner's expertise and asked what kind of picture hangers would he recommend for a heavy work I had just found at a flea market. He asked a few questions, then went into the work atea with two serious hangers in his hand. I offered to pay for them and he just smiled! We need to encourage the people who have the customer focus and professionalism of this small but impressive frame shop. Good advice and quality products ... give these folks a try.
