The latest and greates thing to hit Canton. It's huge and clean. Parking is pretty horrible at times and cramped lot, but that's alright. This target also is one of the only ones that I've been to that sells raw meat. So if you forgot the ground beef or turkey for Taco Tuesday, you can probably pick it up here. The Pharmacy is fast and doesnt seem to have a lot of clients right now but I am sure that will change soon. The bad part, the staff is pretty shitty. They blast their walk talkie things at full volume and you can hear it echo in the entire store off all the worker's belts. Then there is also that "person" who he/she (in this case She) is the best boss ever and telling other employees to do stuff while doing nothing themself. read more

This Target got an extra star for the exceptional customer service. They went above and beyond when we noticed several discounts were not applied to our final amount due. Very patient and explained the details, and helped us . We got two five dollar gift cards for the next visit, and saved an additional 5% using a Target Visa debit card. I'll start by saying I'd lean closer to a 3.5 for this review but had to take a little off for reasons I will mention towards end of review. With that out of the way, this is my Target of choice and I spend a lot of time here. Usually first place I think of if I need to pick anything up you can't get from a convenience store. It also is good they have their food section, usually pick up snacks and other things like bottled water and frozen dinners if I'm feeling kind of lazy (which is a lot). The store is usually pretty clean and it feels like there are usually employees around the help you find things if you have any issues at all. My problem comes with the fact that even though it feels like there are always people around I can't help but shake the feeling this Target always feels like they are running out of things. A lot of the shelves are usually half-full or some sections just completely empty. I don't know if I just go the wrong day of the week or what but something that I notice almost each time I am there. read more

I've been to this location many times, and never had an issue. Honestly today was just shocking. First, there were no eggs which I could deal with but then, the check out line. While I was waiting in line the next check out line opened and they called us to go over so myself, the gentleman in front of me and the lady behind me decided to head over since our line was a bit long. Suddenly this store employee comes up to me (no one else) and starts yelling at me to get back in the original line and that I cut the lady. I politely explained that I had been in front of her in the original line and just headed over here when the line opened up, and the lady also said it was fine. The employee proceeded to harass me (this was around 5:30 PM) until I moved back. The level of disrespect and unprofessionalism was astronomical. I did mention this in my survey of the store as well. If you look at my previous reviews, I am not one to give people 2 stars for no reason I prefer to give 4-5! But the behavior today was inexcusable and only the kind cashier made it go from 1-2 stars. Don't go here until they get some training on professionalism and respect as you can see from the other reviews I am not the only one to receive this unwarranted horrible customer service. I wish I lived closer to this one then the Glen Burnie(close to the MVA) location. This is my second time at this location. The first was within the first couple of days opening. Dude, I love this Tar-zhay. That's right I say it the French way. They have the nicest high tech looking scanners. The beauty department shelves have dozens of lights spread out so you can browse and/or find what you are looking for. The service is fast. The place is pretty organized and clean. Target as a company is now getting more vegan,organic and non-gmo options, more tea options. The parking lot is huge with the highway close by to hop on home. A guy today was really nice and handed me a clean handheld cart minus the one with onion peels. I love this Target. read more

I went into Target this a.m. for essentials. 99% of employees were NOT wearing gloves, not one wore a mask & none even attempted to abide social distance recommendation. Bad management for not making sure not only their employees are compliant & safe.....but that the customers safety is assured. Bruh. As many others have said, this target is woefully understocked like every department except for food. I needed to get a basic 20$ trash can, a litter box, some black jersey sheets, and a shallow large storage box. They had none of these things. Super irritating. This store is disgusting. It looks like it's being run by children. My husband and I live close, but choose to drive to one further away because of how horrible this location is. You can never count on this location to have anything you are looking for in stock, but what you can count on is for it to look like an absolute mess. On our very first trip to this target, I walked into the furniture section to look at the Joanna Gaines kitchenware - place was messy, but what bothered me most was an old (what would have been iced) Dunkin' Donuts coffee sitting on one of her displays. Clearly old because it was melted, I was first annoyed that a customer would leave it there. Be courteous to the store and employees, why should they have to pick up after you? But as I walked around, I noticed it didn't look like the store picked up after ANYTHING. We left and returned over a week later. Guess what was STILL sitting on the same Joanna Gaines kitchenware display? The Dunkin Donuts cup. I got so annoyed I grabbed it to throw it away myself and my friend jokingly said leave it there so we can see how long it lasts. Now that I'm in a full rant I'll get to the end - three weeks. The answer is, it sat there for over three weeks before someone finally threw it away. Actually ridiculously absurd. Today the young "security" person (with black & blondish short braids or dreads, wearing a red windbreaker & khakis [ included his description incase a manager actually reads/cares]) WAS RUDE AS HELL. My husband was getting a cart and took a second to get situated, not realizing he was in the way of the security guy trying to push some carts closer to the entrance & asked my husband...."DO YOU WALK THAT SLOW IN FRONT OF CARS!?!" .. He said it insultingly. What happened to "excuse me , sir.... " or just giving a paying customer a few seconds. I complained to a manager but not sure it made a difference. Why can't people just do their job and keep their mouth shut if they have something ignorant to say. Not to mention I had a clear view of him "working" as we checked out, while talked to guest services and as we left... The whole time he was just leaning against the carts talking to a female employee and paying no mind to any customers. Did you all just stick a rude lazy employee in a security jacket? I like this Target. It's in a good location in a nice area. Target has most everything you need, a Starbucks, clean restrooms, self checkouts, the works. You can totally get lost in here and have a great time at it. I am a fan of the dollar bins they keep near the front of the store. read more

It's December 22nd, I'm sure everyone working retail has just about had it with Christmas shoppers. I've been there. I feel you. Since I've been on both sides of the retail experience during the holidays, I go out of my way to be friendly and understanding. I came in to grab 2 things for my GF's Xmas present. The first thing was a TV. After walking up and down the TV display wall for a while, I came across a box set to the side. It happened to be the model and size I wanted. It had a sticker that indicated that it had been returned by a previous customer. I roll up to the counter (the small counter by the electronics) and hand over the TV and one other item. The kid at the register is on his phone. I'm standing 2 feet away with a 4 foot box. I know he sees me. I stood there for a minute while his thumb scrolled, finally saying, "Excuse me man, I've got a quick question." I'm a little embarrassed that I asked the following question - it's not really my style - but I asked whether the TV was subject to an "open box" discount (as it had clearly been returned.) I'm pointing at the sticker, he glances and says "nah." No big deal. Like is said, he's probably had it with all the Xmas shit at this point. Next item, a pair of muckalucks (look it up, they're kinda like slippers.) Him : there's no tag. Me : oh man, I didn't notice. *another employee says something (I couldn't hear) to him, and both employees start laughing. We both stand there for a minute in silence. He starts looking at his phone again. Me : I think they were $17.99. Him : yeah, but there's no tag. *long pause. Me : I mean, I could go get another pair (to use the tag.) Him : yeah. * I get about 20 feet from the register and hear him yelling "yo." I turn around. Him : yo take these back (he's holding the slippers in the air.) Me : I'm still getting those. Him : oh. I walked to the other side of the store, got the other pair, brought them back, and paid. The kid went to great lengths to prove that he was too cool to give a shit. Like, undisputedly. So much so, that I wonder whether it would actually require less effort and thought to just... do his job? Actually, I can tell you definitively that it DOES take left effort because I did his job for him. I don't need special treatment. When you start asking me to do your job... After the security breach at Target over the holidays, there's no doubt that they have beefed up precautions for transactions. My mother tried to purchase items here yesterday with a check that was declined - there were several factors as to why that I can think of (being that she'd written it for a larger amount than she usually does, she has a bank whose approval line isn't open on weekends, etc., there are myriad factors), but she became extremely upset to the point of nearly hysteria. (She's elderly and things upset her pretty easily.) Anyhow, I spoke with the shift coordinator, who explained that it wasn't Target's issue, but her bank's and that she needed to contact them. She was very nice about it and apologized for upsetting my mother. Later on that night, I got a phone call from my mother, who said that the MANAGER of the Canton Target had personally contacted her and said that he would look into what happened, and that they would make sure to follow up with the issue. Now, I don't know about you, but that kind of personal service from a big-box retailer is rare in my world, and I completely appreciate the fact that they went above and beyond the call of duty to reassure a frightened, elderly woman that they were taking care of her and her needs. This means a LOT to her, and to me. I am impressed beyond belief with the way they handled things, which means that they've won my business for a very, very long time. Kudos to the Canton Target for caring about their customers!!! read more

Hmmm...what keeps me coming back? I don't think I've ever met anyone that didn't like Target. It's because I like it. This Target is really no different than any other Target. The location is convenient. It's large, clean, well-organized, and well-stocked. Plus, I'm beginning to like Baltimore the more time I spend there. The employees are pretty nice and personable. A general fan of target. Walmart makes me want to gag so I refuse to ever go. This target: * Returns are simple! ( I have a red card though) * The dog section has always had the carpet spray and squeaky tennis balls. ( Yeah thats important). * Cleaning supplies 99% of the time are there. * The head pharmacist is AWESOME * Female clothing department... this makes them loose a star. (I've been to far better) * Female gym clothing is an exception. This is usually always well stocked. * Candy section, Get some freakin sweet tarts already! * Quick grocery items are generally always stocked * Some employees need to work on people skills, but thats pretty standard * Cards/ Stationary/ Craft supplies if you need something quick are great * HOURS ARE FANTASTIC! * Parking is decent. I am incapable (literally) of going in here without spending $100. The store has so much to offer and is laid out so you must walk by the girl's clothing, $5 section, jewelry and accessories before getting to any household items or food. I will enter chanting "Draino. Q-tips. Milk. Draino. Q-tips. Milk" and leave with $30 of groceries, cake mix for in case I decide to have a party, new coasters for my living room, nail polish that I couldn't resist, new body lotion that smelled like sugar, and some vitamins... and a receipt totaling $100+. This is my own fault because I am terrible at sticking to my shopping list. The store is laid out wonderfully. They have a lot of modern home furnishings, cookware, etc. The store is clean and the lines are never very long. There is also a Starbucks in the front. The store is brand new and Target always does a great job. Because this location is in Baltimore City, the prices seems slightly higher than the county (to be expected). That is why I am giving 4 stars, not 5. There is a parking lot out front with plenty of regular parking (for free). I do almost all of my grocery shopping here, then pop next door to Harris Teeter to get meats, deli items, and a bigger variety of fruits and veggies. read more

I've been to this target quite a few times however I was slightly disappointed in this trip this target is much bigger than the one that I usually frequent so I came here straight after work thinking they would have what I wanted. However the selection was pretty scarce I was looking for a new kitchen trash can. On another note the clothing section was great however wasn't what I came for. read more

Took my princess on a shopping spree here last night. Access to the parking lot was easy to access and there were plenty of spots available. We mainly went to pick up luggage but a usually my baby doll loves to look beautiful so we picked up a few more things. We did run into Hannah who was very helpful telling us where the bikini stuff was because we are going to Sunny LA this week. Can't wait!! Unfortunately the selection was limited and they didn't have any matching tops and bottoms. Also they didn't have any XS sizes for my petite princess. Pretty nice Target. I was here on yesterday. I actually was not here to purchase anything special. I was just walking the store. The store was pretty clean. It seemed as though they had more people to be stocking the shelves at 6pm in the evening than I am use to seeing. As I walked throughout the store I noticed that many workers were helping customers. Everyone seemed to have a pleasant attitude. Only one worker greeted me as I walked through the store. I didn't purchase anything until I was about to leave. I just decided to get a personal Pizza Hut pizza. It was pretty good. Next time I need to do some shopping for the home I would love to return to this Target. read more

Let's get the obvious out of the way: I'm obsessed with Target, so they can rarely do wrong in my eyes. This Target is similarly set up like others. The staff is friendly and helpful. What disappoints me is that they seem to always be out of candles, and the candle section in general is a bit of a jumbled mess. So if you're going for candles.... don't! Worst grocery store I've gone to as a regular in my entire life. The bagels and bread are always about a day from expiring. The selection is abysmal, as other reviews point out. I've had workers ask to "borrow" my food as I'm checking out and get butthurt when I don't give them free food (?) Workers regularly ignore their customers at checkout and loudly and rudely blabber to each other (or even friends that are just hanging around for some reason) about inane nonsense. Workers on multiple occasions have blocked my ability to exit the self checkout area ENTIRELY using their bodies and multiple carts. That takes true talent. They'll also refuse to make way if you say excuse me. They sure do enjoy staring at you while they block your exit, though. I began to suspect the workers felt some animosity toward me because I'm white. Nothing else could possibly explain the gross displays of incompetence and lack of courtesy I experienced on a consistent basis. No disrespect to the few nice workers there I've met, but something is clearly very wrong, and I now go out of my way to avoid this location. read more

Let me say I'm extremely happy about Targets opening and how close it is to my house and the city. This review however is for the Starbucks inside. I was in line waiting to order and the girl taking orders was obviously new. Instead of having someone available to train her the barista on duty was just barking orders at her. ("You're not saying the order correctly, You're not calling the order loud enough, You're not greeting the guests correctly, etc"). She was not only embarrassing the new employee, but making the Patrons feel uncomfortable with her training 'style' ( if you could even call it that). On top of her snotty attitude she was also the only person making drinks. So now not only are the patrons uncomfortable, her focus on the new employee has taken focus off of making drinks. At one point there were 8 people waiting on their drinks and 6 more people in line. Was quite the mess. I hope the training 'style' improves for this place. read more

This afternoon, my sister and I visited your Boston St. location at Canton Crossing. We carried my niece in her stroller and grabbed a cart to shop with. I'm assuming her diaper bag and our purses being stowed below the stroller sparked concerns because we were profiled and followed around the store by MULTIPLE loss prevention agents. Every corner we turned, every aisle we were in, they were there. At first, we assumed it was coincidence as associates were stocking throughout the store and your LP was engaging them. It wasn't until we reached check out and noticed one of them was glaring at us that all of the "coincidences" we had assumed were actually super intentional means of harassment and intimidation. Before leaving, we stopped at Starbucks and my sister noticed two of the agents that had been following us were posted outside and one was staring into the store at us, specifically at my niece's stroller. There were 3 members of your security team at the door upon our exit as if they were waiting for the Sensormatic to alarm and stop us. Literally pounce. When it didn't, they continued to glare at us all the way to our car. Not that I have anything to justify, but I spent $100 and my sister spent $175 and that was on the lesser end of what we typically spend during a visit. We frequent that Target, especially since the Mondawmin location closed. We were so disturbed, we went back inside to speak to a supervisor. Upon re-entering the store, we noticed that all security had dispersed. No longer lingering near the check out, no longer checking the receipts. In my 10 minute conversation with the supervisor, they were no where to be found only making it more blatantly obvious how focused they were on us. While the supervisor I spoke with was respectful and apologetic, I still felt not nearly enough was done. There was no mediation or any form of resolve and I am still extremely disturbed and offended. I work within retail and understand the concepts of external theft and loss prevention. These agents were completely out of line and discriminatory. There were multiple strollers in there with merchandise flung across and hanging from them. We had a designated cart for all of our items and we were followed persistently. I highly suggest retraining your LP agents in Target's values and reiterating the level of professionalism expected of them. While ours was an isolated incident, I literally cringe at the thought of what someone else may experience and will definitely reconsider my next visit. read more

I was inquiring about some baby items that I was interested in purchasing later on in the day. when I spoke to a Guest service person I asked her if I could put some things on hold so that I was guaranteed that I can get all items that I needed to buy at one target location rather than me running around to multiple locations for the items that I needed. She then told me that they don't do holds. That was a shock to me because usually holds are for 24 hours and if my memory serves me correctly Target does do holds. But I wasn't about to argue so I just called a different location. It was very disappointing because I was going to be buying over $200 of baby items to stock up on. Hopefully employees at this Store are informed about specials and company policies because If not they will be losing a lot of business at location. Very disappointing read more

The first time I went, the place was ridiculously unprepared for shoppers. Boxes on the floor, nothing on the shelves, you name it. Just a mess. Now it is clean, tidy, organized, and everything you expect from a Target. The food section isn't bad. Some of the decor is overpriced compared to, say, Wal-Mart, but right on par with every other Target. Nothing stood out in my mind while shopping as a complaint or compliment. I had an amazing young lady at customer service with a short haircut and another awesome lady at the register who took over 15 mins to find a price for some shoes i found with no label. These ladies made my experience awesome! Both were African American females and took pride in their work. I'll gladly visit this store again next time in town. This target is so frustrating. The selection of stock is limited and frequently sold out and not restocked for a long time. Same with clothing selections and sizes. There is always a loooong wait to check out. On more than one occasion I have left because the wait has been ridiculously long. This is my Target here in Baltimore. Mostly, I can find what I need by myself. The lines aren't too long. Customer service is helpful when you need help. The clientele isn't nutty. There seems to be a worker around if you have a question and I don't see many of them goofing off, though there's that, too. Parking is great. read more

Defintely not the best target i've been to. The price markers are usually incorrect and the employees are surly. They do have a decent Starbucks however and they have good hours of operation.
