it's a great concrete Target/grocery store more or less and overall resource for getting anything and everything you might need. I used to live more up north where I would use the Towson target but more recently moved down more towards the water and I'm so grateful that this one is here. Well, it's very consistent and accessible, definitely make sure you consider what time of day in which day of the week you end up going as with any store there is always rush hours where certain particularly the food specific items can be overpicked. seeing as this is just a given, I'm not docking at one star just for that, but I see that this is not the place to go if you want any kind of meat. Overall, their grocery section is underwhelming, not consistent and not particularly given attention. I'm more than one occasion of checking this place out. Their raw meats were not well cooled and we're kind of sitting out in an open area where they did seemingly warm up. so outside of the meats and some of the potential main course meals that you might want to find ingredients for elsewhere, overall this is a great place with really kind people working and of course at the target so you do get a good value for what you're paying, especially in a city . read more

I only shop at Target a few times a year, mainly because cotton has become almost impossible to find in the clothing area.. Since last year certain sections of the store have become very disorganized. It's like the employees don't even try to line certain things up by type for example, socks, undergarments and tights. It's all jumbled together by type and size and as we all know, there are 50,000 different types of everything now so it makes it really hard to shop. For a company, the size of Target with a profit that it has, you think they would hire some more stockers who will take the time to put things where they belong and then put them back where they belong when the customer mess them up, which I can imagine is frustrating . I hate doing a pick up here and it's finally gotten to the point where I have to say something. Inside is horrible because of the check lines taking 20-30 min. So I tried pick up but it's the same thing. Takes forever and people just park in the spots like they are the regular ones so I spend most of my time just circling waiting for someone to come back out to their car. I would argue coming to this Target is a form of self hate. I come by when I really don't want to drive outside of Baltimore and I regret it every single time. It isn't the fault of the cashiers who I honestly think are just severely short staffed; there's usually only 2 working. The only other payment option is self checkout and this Target features the longest self check out lines I've seen in my literal entire life. You should factor in waiting 15-25 minutes in line when you come here. It's that insane. I would recommend coming with someone, having them stand in line as you quickly grab what you need and meet them at checkout because at least that way you only wait about 10 mins. read more

I would avoid this location if you have any other option. Literally. The service this location has continued to decline ever since I moved here in 2019 the store may have a total of five people working the entire place. I've consistently contacted their corporate office, asking them to improve customer service, improve store cleanliness, etc. All to no avail. I have literally waited for 25 minutes for somebody to unlock a face wash. On average, I will take about 20-30 minutes to grocery shop, and then I will wait 30 to 40 minutes to check out. It's clear that Target HQ is only interested in preventing shoplifting and not improving the quality of actual paying customers. It is a far cry from how Target was back in the early 2000s. My prediction is that the store will continue to decline until it has to have a shut down for a complete overhaul in the near future. read more

The Target drive-up option is a total game changer. I'm clearly late to the party, but my entire Target shopping experience has been elevated with this experience. With Covid or just because I look like a bum, not having to leave my car to get my Target fix is everything. So far, each time I've used this feature, it had been a seamless process. I've never understood why people give low ratings to stores like this. It's a target... if you know what target is that this target is actually relatively impressive on the scale of national target. It's large, spacious, standard well oriented. They have a good supply chain and are usually not out of anything th a standard stock item. They have a very efficient pharmacy staff. They have a Pizza Hut express and a Starbucks. personally, I am not a huge fan of shopping at target for produce, but they actually have a reasonable selection here if you're looking to save some money since it's usually cheaper than most other options in the area. Having said that the selection is limited when compared to a formal grocery store like Safeway or Harris Teeter. read more

Target is why I shop on Amazon. We stopped at the Canton store because we needed items that we couldn't wait for Amazon to deliver. While my wife shopped, I stopped at the Cafe for a hot pretzel and fountain soda. After paying, I realized that none of the soda fountains worked, so I asked the clerk for a refund, which she grumbled about but gave. She then gave me my pretzel, which when I bit in was totally frozen. By this time my wife was done shopping, so I asked for a refund on the pretzel. The clerk said "I don't have f@@@ing time to deal with you" at which time she called over her manager. The manager defended the employee, saying I shouldn't have complained since I got a refund. This store would be good if it weren't horribly understaffed. Tonight, I spent an hour picking out groceries for the next couple weeks, and when I went to check out, the person by the registers said there was nothing open other than the self-checkout lane. I actually told her I was leaving the cart and she could put it all back and walked out to go to the supermarket next door. I have a bad neck and using the self checkout is uncomfortable for me, on top of just being annoying. I only went back because I didn't have the energy to shop for stuff again. I don't think I'm likely to ever go to this Target for groceries again. There are two other supermarkets in the same complex that actually have people working in them. read more

I've been shopping at this target for years now today was the first time I felt like a damn criminal by a Manager and her name was Morgan I'm at self check out as there were no cashiers AT ALL this was in the morning about 8am it's the earliest I've ever been to target so idk I've never seen that before so I go to self checkout but needed help cause the books I wanted were cheaper on target app to get price adjusted Morgan advised that was the red card price I was the only costumer at checkout at the time she was literally breathing down my neck I had to ask her to back up she took half a step back. They have a good selection of things, I wouldn't say the prices are good though compared to say walmart or something. The service is lacking here though. I tried to get help out to my car for something that was fairly big, i ttook about a half hour before someone was willing to help with that. This is not my usual Target. I frequent the one in Columbia which is near my job. This Target in Canton requires me to either pay a toll to get to it quickly OR drive through the city which can be a serious hassle during regular circumstances. However, since the virus outbreak I've been working from home and traffic in the city has been way more tolerable, making it easy and convenient for me to go to this particular Target. As in most Targets I've been to, this one is clean and well lit. It is not well stocked with everything, unfortunately. There is still no toilet paper, they're out of all headache medicine, and flavored extracts are gone. That is not Target's fault, but it IS annoying. The employees are nice and helpful. Parking is ample despite the lot being shared by a bunch of other stores in the plaza. Overall, good stand in for my regular Target. read more

The Target is a one-floor store in a big shopping center in newly gentrified Canton. Plenty of parking on a surface lot. During my visit tonight, there were some homeless people right out front but we didn't interact. This location on a Wednesday around 8:30 pm was not too busy. Customer service is off to the left--there's always a wait there! Luckily I was en route to buy and not return. I found exactly what I was looking for in the men's section--a wool thermal set. There's a CVS Minute Clinic, CVS Pharmacy, and a Pizza Hut past the registers, a huge technology center in the back, tons of house stuff as typical of Target, and a fairly decent produce section. Overall, a well-kept store, convenient to 895 and Baltimore Beltway. There weren't many employees on the floor, but it was late. There are several self-checkout registers, snd I used one of them with almost no wait in line. read more

Visited this location today and spent at least 20 minutes in the women's clothing section (which looked like it had been ransacked...clothes all over the floor, lots of empty racks, abandoned carts, etc), only to find out the fitting rooms were closed! They were blocked off by enormous racks of clothes to be stocked and put away and there was only one employee sorting through the piles, who looked overwhelmed and confirmed they closed their fitting rooms. So I contributed another abandoned cart with 6 items of clothing in it, grabbing my two other items to pay for on my way out. However, there was only ONE cashier with a line of at least a dozen people, and the self check-out lane had at least 20 people in line. I left with nothing except a bad taste in my mouth after wasting 30 minutes in this store. Target, hire more people and do better!! read more

Before moving to the area, I was spoiled by having a Target only a few blocks away. Lo and behold, I have a Target a few blocks away! The layout is, Target-efficient and they have all the stuff you'd expect from a Target. The couple of times I've needed assistance, it's been a snap to find a "red shirt" (I hope these guys aren't Star Trek fans), and got the help I needed. Parking here is fine. Once again the checkout line is backed up half way through the store with only one lane open that is not self service. Again, very poor store management. Let's also mention the personal shoppers and stock people who block the aisles and refuse to let customers get to merchandise. Yep, horrible store management. Quickly becoming like Walmart. After waiting in line a ridiculous amount of time, they decided to open a couple of other cashiers. I heard, "I can help the next person in line", so I stepped forward. I was then told by cashier Cory "I'm helping him (gesturing to a person two places in line behind me), so you can go back to where you were". Extremely rude, and I was now aware that cashiers get to pick and choose who they check out. Finally, Cheryl checked me out. Friendly and patient, but obviously overworked this morning as she was the only cashier on duty when this chaos began. My new place here in Baltimore is great, but it was missing a few things. I came to this Target to get some laundry supplies as well as restock on personal care items. I found everything I needed, no problem. I perused through the store to see if I needed anything else, but I really was not in need of anything else. This place is clean and well stocked. In fact, it is of better quality than most Target stores I've been to back home in LA. If you have kids, this place has a large toy assortment, as well as a large video game stock. The check out was fast and painless. There was little foot traffic because of the torrential rain outside. I have no complaints about this, however, as I like the rain and the quick checkout. I have found my regular shopping center for the summer. I will be back here. read more

This is the absolute worst pharmacy I've ever been to. DO NOT GO HERE. I have been trying to get a prescription refilled for the last 5 days. On the first day I used the automated system was told it would be ready the next day at noon and that I'd get a text when it was ready. I received no text the next day so the day after that I called and this time the automated system told me the prescription was set for auto refill and would be ready in two days. By this point I was on my second day without my prescription so I asked to speak to a pharmacist. I ended up being on hold for over an hour when I hung up and called another pharmacy to get my prescription transferred over. That pharmacy was also unable to get anyone on the phone so now on day 5 and day 4 without my medication I'm preparing to go in person. This is not the first time I have had a bad experience with this pharmacy (randomly opening hours late; different pharmacist every day so no one seemed to know about my order...) but it will be the last. read more

It's sad that people don't take pride in their jobs anymore and think they should just get paid for standing around. All in all, Target should just be Target. Usually I can find what I need and get right out, and sometimes I linger a little longer. Generally I don't need help finding things. A little less than a year ago, I was in line for self-checkout when an employee beckoned me over to a "regular" check out line. I'm definitely a person who prefers self-checkout, but I also don't reaaaally mind. As the cashier began scanning my items, I let them know I had my own bag. They refused to use my bag and called my bag "dirty". I don't use bags for any sort of discount, I use them because they are larger, more durable, and of course, cut down on plastic. I found the experience bizarre and a little disappointing, but I just swore to use self-checkout whenever I return to this location. Yesterday , I was in line at the self checkout, per usual, and decided to grab a gift card -- located right above the self checkout scanner -- to give my friend as a congratulatory gift. It was the last thing I scanned, and it didn't seem to be working, so an associate came over to help. The associate condescendingly told me I needed to go to a regular register to activate a gift card. I said okay, and started closing up my other items. Then she huffed and puffed and said she'd just do it here. I apologized profusely but she just seemed incredibly annoyed she had to help me. It seemed like activating gift cards is totally possible from self-checkout. I don't purchase gift cards frequently, if at all -- they were just right above the scanner, ready to go! Why place something there if you can't use it? These two experiences have just really rubbed me the wrong way. Target will surely still have me as a paying customer, but I don't feel welcome there anymore. read more

Jesus Christ ... I don't even know where to begin. I honestly don't know or understand what's going on with this location or Target in general. To be fair, I have only visited this Target location over the past couple of years. However, multiple people have shared observations from other locations that are similar to what I'm seeing at this one. Let's just start with the mess. If you work in retail you know what zoning, blocking, etc means. It basically means the store and the departments within it are neat, organized, and everything is in the location where it belongs. There is absolutely NO evidence that this store executes a daily process to ensure the store is presentable. It's almost indescribable how messy it is. There is merchandise thrown everywhere. My first thought was that they must be cutting payroll BUT.... That brings me to my second observation. The associates. I encountered way more associates than I expected. In the short time I was there I must have walked by at least 8-10 red polos. None of which greeted me or even acknowledged I existed. A couple were stocking new freight. For the life of me I can't understand why you would stock new receipts when the departments are in such disarray. It goes against everything I understand about retail. Thirdly, don't bother bringing a list with you to shop. The amount of out of stocks will leave you extremely disappointed. No doubt you will get your feelings hurt on this one. I'm not going to say anything else except ... EMPTY. I can't wrap this up without pointing out the obvious that I can only assume the Target leadership team fails to address. This big box is in Canton. They have or had a brand that is right in the wheelhouse of the community. The young professionals that live in the area would rather be caught turning tricks than seen at a Walmart. Their money is there for the taking, but not if you look like an Ollie's that's going out of business. read more

Took an appointment for a vaccine. I get there and they had the wrong vaccine ready for me. Then it takes the 30 min to prepare the right one. Only then do they tell me my insurance doesn't cover it and charge me $40. I uploaded all my insurence days ago and no one contacted at all to tell me it wont be accept Avoid this cvs at all costs. I really like this Target. i originally came to get Sparkling Dry Lavender soda. Of course they are not going to sell that just anywhere. I also like the other customers at this Target. The client base at other stores are just as important to me as the employees. The closest target to my house is the one at Mondawmin, but it is so scary to go there. I had a customer steal my cell phone from that location because she said she needed reward money. I will continue to go to Target at Canton square because of the quality of service and my for my demanding products. read more

Look, Target is Target, ok? It's my box store of choice. But I really am not a big fan of Canton Crossing: it's very busy, so many cars everywhere, just your typical, big box store "paradise". I pop in and I pop out. My paper products, occasionally some grocery staples. These places are most tolerable very early or very late in the day to avoid crowds. They do have the best cotton pads for facial hygiene, though. I don't like cotton balls, but these ovioid cotton pads are the perfect size for cleaning your face or applying toner. I basically get some whenever I'm in. Always glad to leave. The parking lot can be maddening and a hazard. read more
