If you've never sweated through a seafood boil while simultaneously experiencing spiritual awakening and mild crab-induced trauma, Taranto's is the spot for you. First off, they bring the food out in a giant plastic bag like it's evidence from a crime scene. And honestly, it is a crime--how much butter and Cajun seasoning they put in there. The shrimp were so spicy they gave me flashbacks to every bad decision I've ever made, and the sausage? That sausage whispered sweet nothings to me before punching me in the face with flavor. I'm not saying I fell in love, but I definitely Googled "how to legally marry andouille." The corn was hotter than Satan's armpit, and the potatoes were softer than my willpower. I burned my fingertips, tongue, and possibly my soul, but I regret nothing. The staff is friendly in that Southern way where they call you "honey" and tell you you're "lookin' peaky" while piling 7 pounds of shellfish in front of you. If your bib doesn't say "I'm here for a good time, not a long time," you're doing it wrong. Pro tip: don't wear white. Or tight pants. Or any emotional baggage you're not ready to let go of--because the boil will break you down and build you back better. 10/10, would cry happy tears into my crab legs again. read more

I must stop place to eat went on the golf. Never miss a chance to get here.. you can't beat the food and service. Top notch.

Best crawfish and fried shrimp around! Always stop by when I'm in town! The service is always excellent

Absolutely incredible!!! This staple is an absolute game-changer for get togethers with friends or family

I'm from DC and let's just say we're not big into crawfish there. We do have places that sell it but personally it isn't my thing. Wow this place ignited a love for crawfish. Had a hankering for crawfish ever since. This place was very busy for good reason. Service was fine. The fries are very good too read more

Went way out of our way to get a po-boy only to discover NOT OPEN ON SUNDAYS! Threw us off on a long trip back home.

First time to Tarantos. I had a side salad and cup of seafood gumbo. Salad was fresh and crispy which I enjoyed but gumbo was ok. I'm not a fan of white based gumbo so I think that was it. Lacked any real flavor. My friend had the crawfish . They were seasoned perfectly and good size. I would definitely go back for those. And the bread they served with the gumbo was a soft delicious scrumptious bite of heaven every time. I'll give them 5 stars. Very attentive service and just because I don't like white gumbo doesn't mean everyone else will not. I'll definitely be back! read more

The food is always delicious and I love the crawfish!! The staff is so friendly and attentive to all your requests!! Prices are good! You will enjoy the experience of good seafood! And order a poboy!! read more

Came to Taranto's on a Friday afternoon for lunch with my brother and SIL. Being that it's the beginning of crawfish season, we decided to give this place a try! Definitely a cute local spot. We were greeted and seated almost right away. Between the three of us we ordered: Crawfish platter, Fried oyster appetizer, loaded fries, two beverages. -The crawfish flavor was cajun-y and buttery, it was perfectly seasoned and juicy. The potato was a little flavorless itself but with the crawfish boil, it was great. The portion was perfect to be shared. -Fried oysters were okay, no complaints or raving review here. -The loaded fries were the best part of this meal, The gravy and jalepenos complemented the fries very well. 10/10 recommend. The tables were covered in a laminated cloth, which was easy to clean and felt very clean. We were given a clean bucket to place the shells and waste. The roll of napkin at our table was full and helpful to have! I wish there was a different place to wash my hands outside of the 2 bathrooms that were always occupado... but one can dream... Our entire meal including grat. totaled to $68. read more

Taranto's Crawfish House - Crawfish platter! - Seafood Near Me - Diberville, Mississippi

Great service, better food. We had a job in the area, decided to take a break and get some food and had such a nice time being there we had to talk ourselves into going back and finishing the job. Great place to have a good time and enjoy a delicious meal. Atmosphere was great, anytime we're working in the area we try to make it there, highly recommended read more

Finally some good crawfish boil that was worth the price. The restaurant was about a 23 minute drive from the Biloxi beach front area. It was not too hard to find but had to drive thru the busier highway roads. The place is clean and your typical home town feel kind of restaurant. It was seat yourself kind of place. The waitresses were mostly younger and were grouped up chatting but as soon as we sat down one came to take our drink order. We ordered the fries with crawfish bisque on top. It was soo good. The bisque had good flavor. It was not overly salty or gravy like. There was a good portion of crawfish meat. I was surprised how much my husband enjoyed it. He even took the bread from his meal to wipe up the remaining bisque. For our late lunch I ordered the full platter of crawfish with potato and corn for $14.99. My husband ordered the fried oysters (which was sad that oysters would be ruined by frying them). I believe he also ordered gumbo. Overall all it was a great meal and I didn't feel I overpaid. The crawfish was spicy enough but not too spicy. My mouth did have a slight burning sensation which was fine by me. read more

See all

This place is as good as it gets for seafood and Cajun food. You've missed it if you don't stop here and eat.

Best crawfish around. Only place I'll buy/eat crawfish from. They are seasoned to perfection.

Great crawfish! I love that it's been family owned for many generations! They are very nice, and they now have corn and potatoes!

Fried pickles, hush puppies and 1 lb of Royal Reds! All delicious! Service was excellent. Kept our sweet tea full!

This is my favorite place in Biloxi. This is not a tourist joint but one mainly for locals. Not close to the Ocean. The food is dang good. I have tried several items and they were all top notch. The service has always been friendly and excellent. I really love their shrimp and crab boils. The decor is what I would call MS juke joint. If you prefer fancy restaurants This is not it. Their prices are reasonable. read more

Go into Biloxi and wanted to grab lunch. Although Taranto's technically isn't in Bilox, so it's a tad past, nice drive however. Taranto's isn't a 4 star restaurant with white cover table clothes. It's your local diner. It is a hidden gem!! Food was beyond excellent, wait staff was outstanding. Wanted crawfish, however was unavailable. You can blame Mother Nature on that one. It's hasn't been this cold down there since 1899. So the next time your in Biloxi, take that little drive and swing by. Oh, menu said beer and wine served. Out of wine that day. I'm good with that, beer drinker here read more

Had the catfish basket and the mixed platter. Both were great, abundant and delicious! Then we shared a bread pudding and it was amazing! Chunks of apple and nuts and raisins! Would definitely go there again! read more

Tarantos is a small mom and pop restaurant that will absolutely blow your mind with how great the food is. 10 out of 10 highly recommended if ever in the area. read more

Been going here since I was a baby. Always the best crawfish. Old and true D'Iberville/St. Martin atmosphere. Service is always quick.

Taranto's Crawfish House has always been our first option to buy live & boiled crawfish! Been going to them since I was a teenager :)

Taranto's is off the beaten path in Biloxi Mississippi. The food is excellent with large portions. Servers are courteous and friendly. I enjoyed a shrimp Po boy with gumbo. Gulf shrimp are the best because you taste the saltiness of the water and they're tender and fresh. The Po boy is loaded with shrimp. You have to put this restaurant on your must eat at list. Enjoy read more

Visiting my husband while he is training in Biloxi. I have never had crawfish or po boys or anything like that....OMG THIS PLACE IS AMAZING we got the gumbo and crab bisque.... hard to choose which was better but I will say never had a better bisque in my life. The po boy was great- but get a 6in it's plenty big enough! We also did the crawfish platter- I liked it a lot my husband freaked out and devoured it- it was super spicy though (for me) :) Lastly the bread pudding was fantastic but at that point I was done so much food! You must go- this place is fantastic read more

Outstanding crawfish!!! Price is right and they have a great po boy as well. A little out of the way and the parking is not too great but well worth the trouble. read more

Next to my husband's, best crawfish on the coast. Pricey, but very good. Nice people. read more

Excellent food, excellent service! However, it is very sad that the manager, David Taranto, passed away. He was a wonderful man who unfortunately, passed suddenly at age 68. We miss him. read more

The crawfish were wonderful! Great flavor and very big. I was a little hesitant seeing the pictures online showing jalapenos with the boiled crawfish but they tasted great (the crawfish, not the jalapenos). My husband doesn't eat seafood so he had the cheeseburger and fries and they were good as well. I also had the onion rings and they were great! They offer take out, which is good because as mentioned in previous reviews, the parking stinks. But, if we all keep eating there I am sure they will get a bigger lot!!! read more

So good!!! Get the crab bisque. It is amazing!! I had a pound of boiled shrimp for $9.99. It was. A great value. I had a harder time eating it because they weren't deveined. My husband had the surf and turf and loved the steak. The service was amazing. Everyone was attentive. I'd be back for sure! read more

Great place for crawfish. Very local cuisine. Not very expensive and you will enjoy a nice, social dinner event. They do not sell any wine, just beer. Local signs to the place on highway 10. read more

Decent crawfish!! They don't cook them like we cook them in LA!! They lacked any kind of Cajun flavor. I saw peppers in the batch I had. Don't expect any corn or sausage in their either!! read more

I really enjoy this out of the way casual food dive. Hot crawfish and cold beer! Who could ask for anything more?

I work in the tourism industry and this is one of my go to spots to send people to. Great spot off the beaten path and the service is out of this world. Hit it up if you're in the area! read more

This place was amazing! My business partner recommended my husband and I checking it out and we were very satisfied! It was a journey trying to find it with the road detours but we are happy we went.
