What a hidden gem! I've been coming here over four years and have always enjoyed excellent service, affable personnel, ample portions, bottomless drinks (and always offered one to take with). The prices are extremely reasonable, the chips and salsa (particularly the salsa) are some of the best I have had in the southeast! The menu is not as extensive as other Mexican restaurants, but the food quality surpasses any Mexican restaurant I have ever been at, including in Mexico! Come here often? As a matter of fact, we do! This is the restaurant closest to our house and we are lucky to have it! With plenty of parking and a lot of seating options, we are able to come in with a variety of group sizes and always have a great experience. The restaurant is bright and welcoming and the staff are friendly and efficient. The food is great. I always get the Tacos Flacos which are three street tacos with rice, beans, and pico. This place used to be great! Seems like they've taken quite a hit from Covid and haven't yet recovered. The portions are laughable, and the quality has gone down as well. You never get your order made correctly, and you can't even complain about it because there is a sign that says they aren't accountable. (Those aren't their words, but that's the implications.) We used to love coming here as a family yet cannot continue to waste money on a place that continuously disappoints. We've given them a number of chances with phone in orders and dine in orders, and are still left with the same dissatisfaction. read more

The food here is yummy I ordered 3 street lengua tacos with onion and cilantro, horchata, and chips and salsa. It cost me $21 the menu online shows $3.50 per street taco. so chips and salsa and horchata cost me $10.50? On top of that they need to work on their customer service. read more

Very nice Mexican restaurant very close off of I-10. Not a lot of advertisement for it though. We were greeted right away and had a pleasant experience. My husband ordered the El Patron taco and he enjoyed it very much. It's a lot like a Taco Salad. My meal was the #7 that came with a Chile Relleno, Taco, beans and a guacamole salad. My favorite part was the taco meat in the crispy Taco I got! That being said, it actually wasn't what I at first ordered. I had asked for the chicken crispy taco but they accidentally brought me the taco meat. It was so tasty though that I did not want to send it back for the chicken! I nicely told her about it after I finished my whole yummy meal, just so the kitchen would know in case the next guest did care about the mistake. She was sweet that they wanted to give me a chicken taco to go! I told her she didn't have to, that the taco I got was still very good. They insisted and put one to go for me with the shell on the side, so it wouldn't be soggy later. I definitely want to come back here the next time we are driving thru! read more

I judge a Mexican restaurant by their rice and beans. The beans are more like soup and the rice was so salty it was almost inedible. Heard about this little restaurant from a few neighbors and decided to try it out for lunch this afternoon. For a Mexican joint this place is brightly lit, it took me by surprised because I'm so use to walking into a Mexican restaurant and the ambiance being softer and warmer. When you walk in, you sit yourself and the server is quick to take your drink order and gives you the menu to look over. By the time I walked in I already knew what I wanted to order but their menu is extensive and has your signature Mexican dishes. The salsa and chips are good. The previous review mentioned that the chips are thicker than one might be used to but nonetheless, their not bad. The sweet tea was what I expected. Let's talk food. I ordered the Hawaiian Fajitas. The food came out pretty quickly after ordering. So if you're looking for a quick grab, this place should be on your list if you're in the area. As I watched the waiter bring out my dish, I was pretty shocked at the enormity of the dish. The presentation was impressive. The pineapple flavor was overwhelming and overshadowed the dish overall. Because the meats were stuffed in the pineapple, you lost that sizzling fajita touch that you might be accustom to. The rice, beans, guacamole and tortillas were typical and what you would expect. First time here. I actually had to add the business. It's just off the Hwy in an odd location for a restaurant but I imagine the rent is cheap lol. My coworker and I stopped in for a quick bite and we both just got a couple of tacos being Taco Tuesday. With a drink purchase get all the tacos you want for a dollar. I had two beef, one chicken. The beef was good, the chicken was dry. The chips and salsa are free and the salsa was decent but the chips were too thick for me and I have had much better. A soft drink runs $1.99 so my lunch total was about $5.50. Not too bad. Service was okay. Would not run back anytime soon but would grab some beef tacos to go again. read more

Awesome little restaurant! It can get pretty busy on Tuesdays, but it's definitely worth it any time. They have great salsa, and used to have a salsa bar until some ingrates started to abuse it. Plus the food is always great and the service quick and polite. I'm glad this place is doing so well despite being slightly out of the way. read more

Salsa was not good at all. The flan was absolute crap. They had a guy singing American and country music while playing electric guitar.

Referred by a friend who said, "you got to try this place. " he wasn't kidding. Stopped in for lunch and the food was great. Fresh, served quickly and very tasty. The place is clean, colorful and appears to have a well stocked bar. Just off I-10 and only about 2 miles from my home. Who knew? My new go-to Mexican restaurant. Will go with 3.5 based on MS. In Texas where I am from it would be 2.5. But not bad. I do not like Salsa and chips are too heavy. Flavor of food is good. Sides good and nice menu. Service decent but I waited 20 minutes at lunch alone with only one other table eating. Plus a guy at the bar charming the bartender senorita in Spanish. :-) All in all, about average to better for area. read more

The service was horrible, the drinks had no alcohol in them. They have food food and drink specials but you can't take advantage of both. The food was just ok, I would not recommend this place to stop buy. Manny the manager changed specials before all the time. You can not have a food special and a drink special at the same time. This was equivalent to Taco Bell meat. The salsa was okay but wasn't spicy at all. The chips and crispy taco shell had a chemical taste (like they need to change their grease). It was so bad that I had to switch my crispy shell to a soft tortilla. The enchiladas didn't have any type of sauce or queso on top, just shredded cheese. Where should I begin?????? The $6.00 watered down shot of tequila? The tamales that both my husband and I spit out after one bite because they tasted like decomposing dog food? The smallest fajita skillet portion I have ever seen with EXACTLY three shrimp and entire totally un-cut pieces of dried up steak and chicken which I had to cut up with a butter knife in order to put on tortillas for $15.00? This is the best little Mexican restaurant in the world and not only because it is a mile from my house. Sure the menu isn't as expansive as some and sure they had to get rid of the self serve salsa bar because people were abusing it, but you know what this place has heart and is successful where no restaurant before it has been before.
